24: Guardian Angel

Theme Song: A World Without Danger

24: Guardian Angel

“Trixie told you idiots to not eat so fast!” Trixie fussed walking Snips and Snails to the nurse's office, both boys were holding their stomachs and looking rather sick.

“We're sorry, Great and Lovely Trixie,” Snails said, “But it's not that big of a deal, right?”

“Not that big of a deal?! Thanks to you two, Trixie has to escort you instead of questioning Twilight's friends!” Trixie folded her arms, “Something fishy is going on with them.”

“Are you still upset that Twilight didn't tell you about her trip to France?” Snips asked.

“Of course Trixie is upset!” Trixie shouted turning to Snips, “She and Twilight are the best of friends! Twilight tells Trixie everything! She wouldn't just leave for France and not at least contact Trixie!” Trixie pulled out her cellphone, “Also…” she pulled up Twilight's number and tried to call it.

The number you have dialed is not in service. Please check the number, and dial again.

“Maybe she was abducted by aliens or something,” Snails suggested, groaning as his stomach started churning. Trixie slapped Snails in the back of the head.

“This isn't a joking matter!” Trixie shouted before turning to the nurse's office. Snails looked down dejectedly.

“I was serious, though…” he said sadly, his friend patting him on the back.

When the three of them walked into the nurse's office, everything stopped. They had heard that with Miss Redheart being transferred to Crystal Academy, they'd be getting another nurse. The woman sitting in the office though, was absolutely stunning.

As in, both Snips and Snails had hearts in their eyes, probably hearing saxophone music playing levels of stunning.

The woman looked to be in her mid twenties. She had really long purple, hot pink, and golden hair, sharp yet friendly purple eyes, and was built as close to Jessica Rabbit a real woman could get and still look natural. She wore a skimpy white nurse's uniform that looked almost like it came out of the fetish store, matching cap, and white high heeled boots. For make up, all she wore/needed was red lipstick.

She turned to the group and smiled, “Let me guess, food poisoning?” she said, her voice sounding almost too regular and friendly. It just added to how beautiful she was.

“Um… not Trixie,” Trixie said pushing Snips and Snails into the room, “These two ate too quickly and ended up getting sick.

The woman smiled warmly, “Well, why don't you all sit down and I'll take care of you, hm?”

“T-thanks miss…” Snips said. The nurse giggled.

“Please, just call me Cadance,” the nurse said. As Snips and Snails sat down on hospital beds, Trixie walked around the office looking around. She stopped on a portrait of Cadance with two other people that had her surprised.

Twilight and her older brother Shining Armor.

“You… know Twilight…?” Trixie asked Cadance as she walked over to a medicine cabinet.

“Know her? Along with Celestia and Luna, I practically raised her,” Cadance said, “I was her babysitter when she was little, and currently I'm marrying her big brother. Are you a friend of hers?”

“Twilight is Trixie's best friend,” Trixie said rubbing her arm.

“I see. You're the one she told me about who's into esoteric science and spirituality,” Cadance said, “I could tell because she said you were a real character.”

“Well, Trixie is a star,” Trixie said waving her hair, “She must stand out at all times.”

“I can see why Twilight likes you so much,” Cadance said, “I'm sorry she's not here for Spring Semester.”

“Did she get in touch with you…?” Trixie asked slowly, afraid of the answer.

“No actually,” Cadance said sadly, “Are you concerned about her?”

“It's just… I thought Twilight and Trixie were close,” Trixie said tearing up a bit, “Why would she leave without telling Trixie anything.”

“I'm sorry hun,” Cadance said walking over to Trixie and hugging her, “Believe me though, Twilight wouldn't just not contact anyone without a good reason. I'm sure Twilight believes in your friendship, and if she could reach you, she would.”

If Trixie didn't know better, it sounded almost like Cadance knew more than she let on, and was trying to comfort her. It worked, but it also made Trixie want to know even more if Twilight was okay. She was going to get to the bottom of this, one way or another.

Even if she had to corner one of her other friends in order to get the answers she needed.

“Ugh, school is just as annoying as I remember it,” Dash groaned walking with Pinkie Pie and Rarity to the cafeteria. With their slightly altered schedules, the three of them had the same science class now, which was right before lunch. Luna said that she made it so the six of them would all still have the same lunch, so that was nice.

Having someone in faculty on their side was really helpful.

“I enjoyed coming back to school,” Pinkie Pie said perkily, “I got to see all of my friends again, and this time Cheese Sandwich is my science partner.”

“Mm hm,” Rarity said, her focus on the little electronic advice she had been taking care of since the semester began.

“What the hell is that, anyway?” Dash asked, both she and Pinkie Pie looking over Rarity's shoulder. Said electronic device was a tiny game featuring an adorable purple dog.

“Oh! Oh! I know what that is! That's a VR pet!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

Dah,” Rarity said.

“I didn't know you were into these things,” Dash said.

“I'm not,” Rarity said, “At least, this little guy isn't mine. He actually belongs to Twilight.”

“Wait, Twilight has a VR pet?” Dash asked.

“She and I picked him out together,” Rarity said, “It was a little before semester ended. She really wanted one, but didn't have money at time, so I bought him for her.”

“These things cost a fortune though,” Pinkie Pie said, “I hear their super advanced. Don't they react to your voice?”

Dah,” Rarity said, “Spike, stoyat!” the virtual pet, apparently named “Spike”, stood up on his hind legs, “Molodets Spike. Now, lyezhat!” Spike got back on his four legs, “Sidet!” Spike sat down, “Molodets Spike! Molodets!” Rarity pushed a button, making a dog treat appear in front of Spike, who barked happily and ate said treat.

“You did not teach Twilight's VR pet Russian,” Dash said deadpanned.

“VR pets are designed to learn up to ten different languages,” Rarity explained, “Besides, as long as Twilight's voice is still registered, everything is fine. You don't expect me to take care of him and not be comfortable in native tongue, do you?”

“I think its cool,” Pinkie Pie said, “This will make Spike really well rounded. Is he close to evolving yet?”

“Evolve?” Rarity asked, “Oh, right, I'm not sure. I've been taking very good care of him, so maybe.”

“Well, he's cute as is,” Pinkie Pie said, “Aren't you, Spikey?” Spike looked at Pinkie Pie and barked happily, “He likes me! He really likes me!”

The three of them walked into the cafeteria, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Sunset already sitting down at their table. Sunset had her laptop computer out and was putting as much focus as Rarity was giving Spike.

“Heya everyone,” Applejack said when they stepped in, “Ah see Rares is still obsessed with Spike.”

“It's calming,” Rarity said walking over to Applejack. She kissed her and then sat down, once again putting her entire focus on the VR pet.

“So, did we miss anything?” Pinkie Pie asked as she and Rainbow Dash sat down next to Fluttershy.

“Sunset's tryin ta narrow our search,” Applejack said.

“That way we don't have to keep searching around randomly for Twilight?” Dash asked, “Thank you! I wanna find Twilight as much as everyone else, but I'm not okay with searching through ONE HUNDRED replica Lyokos!”

“Well, sadly we still need to search through at least ninety,” Sunset said, groaning and leaning back in her chair, “No matter what I do, I can't narrow the search any more than this!”

“What if we scan for Twilight's virtual signature?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“We tried that,” Fluttershy said softly, “Unfortunately, XANA must be keeping Twilight somewhere in the real world when he's not using her body.”

“An' since the super scan don't pick up towers outside of Lyokos we haven't tagged yet, we can't use that either,” Applejack said, shaking her head at how focused her girlfriend was on Spike, “We need a means of trackin places that Twilight's been.”

“Hey, maybe we should have Spike search for Twilight,” Pinkie Pie said, “He's a dog, right? Maybe have him search for her virtual scent.”

“Pinkie Pie, Spike isn't real,” Sunset said rolling her eyes, “He's just a video game character.”

“But when we enter Lyoko, we become video game characters,” Pinkie Pie pointed out.

“Yeah, I guess,” Sunset said, “But he's a video game character even in the real world. Besides, even if he could be used in Lyoko, I doubt Rarity would be happy with that.”

“Hm?” Rarity asked finally looking up, “Did you say something to me?”

Everyone laughed, even Fluttershy managed a slight giggle.

“Hey, why don't we ask Luna and Discord for help?” Dash asked, “Didn't they say that the final Architect was supposed to be here?”

“Proteus,” Applejack said, “Ah think they said her name before, but Ah fergot it sadly.”

“Chrysalis Sullivan,” Sunset said pulling up her information on her laptop, “By now, she'd be about twenty-seven years old. It says here she vanished ten years ago. I have her picture right here.”

Everyone looked at Sunset's screen, Fluttershy being the only one not shocked by the extremely sexy woman on the screen. With her really long straight green hair, black dress, and somewhat gothic looking make-up, she had a really exotic appearance.

“Her style is… er… interesting…” Rarity said, apparently trying to not say something else.

“Chrysie did have a really odd style,” Fluttershy said, “But she was really affectionate. I'd say her only vice was that she…” Fluttershy hid behind her hair, “Let's just say she… got around, if you get it.”

“So… she was a slut,” Dash said, getting sharp looks from everyone, “What? She said it first.”

“No, it's fine,” Fluttershy said, “She knew what she was, but she didn't care. She would joke saying that she needed “love” in order to survive.”

“Sounds like you two were really close,” Pinkie Pie said.

“W-well, she did reach out to me,” Fluttershy said, “I think back then I was still too depressed about losing my mother to return her advances though.”

“Would you recognize her if ya saw her?” Applejack asked.

“I don't know,” Fluttershy admitted, “Discord told me she went into the witness protection program after the incident, and she was always really good at making herself look like anyone. If she doesn't want to be found, we're not finding her.”

“Searching for her would put her in danger,” Sunset said, “We already lost one Architect to XANA. Let's avoid giving him another.”

“Sunset is right,” Applejack said, “We got Selene an' Chaos on our side. We'll let Proteus reveal herself when she's good an' ready.”

“I'll talk to Discord,” Fluttershy said, “I have a free period after lunch now, so I can go see him.”

“You have free period now?” Rarity asked, briefly looking up from her virtual friend.

“Y-yes,” Fluttershy said somberly. Rarity nodded to herself and went back to Spike. It looked like she was thinking about something, and even Spike tilted his head on the screen.

Please… don't do this…

Now Twilight, don't you wish to see your friends?

You have me… Why are you torturing them…?

Because it's fun. Also, I don't want to take any risks. Your friends, especially Fluttershy, they could still pose a problem.

No they can't! No one can stop you! You're just doing this to hurt me!

Yes, you caught me. I mainly wish to hurt you. But your friends CAN threaten me. You are merely broken. Your will to fight me has died, so you've given up. Not them though. That is why they threaten me.

I hate you XANA… I hate you so much…

The feeling is mutual, Twilight Sparkle. Oh look, we've arrived at our destination.

In the scanner room, a single scanner closed and activated. After a second, the scanner opened, and Twilight stepped out of the scanner with a sexy stride. She stretched a bit, but then shifted uncomfortably.

“How on earth do you breathe, Twilight Sparkle,” XANA said, “Okay, first order of business, we need to change into something a little more comfortable.”

XANA sauntered to the elevator, taking it up to the top floor.

After lunch, Fluttershy walked through the halls to search for Discord. Her heart was really heavy, as it had been since Twilight was taken from her. Sure, she had her random moments of happiness, but most of the time the whole world just felt dark and dreary to her.

By now, her memories had completely returned. That played a part of why she was like this. She and her mother were really close, and her death was really sudden. Fluttershy lost a good deal of enthusiasm for life after that, but her father took really good care of her and was always her hero.

Then XANA took him away from her, and she was left alone.

She felt guilty though, because she wasn't alone anymore. Now she had friends her age, and a lot of them. They supported her, and took care of her now that she was an orphan. They were her family now. Yet even still, she was afraid that XANA would do something to take them away from her too.

Fluttershy reached the back of the school where Discord usually stayed when he wasn't working, but saw that he wasn't alone. That new nurse, Cadance, was sitting with him. It looked like they were having a serious conversation.

Fluttershy didn't want to bother them, since it looked like they were having an important discussion. She sighed and decided to instead go for a walk.

Great, now what was she going to do with her time? She had a whole free period now with nothing to do. When she got her new schedule, she was happy to see that both she and Twilight had the same free period. She could have used this period to reconnect with Twilight.

Instead, this period was just a harsh reminder of what she lost, and the person who she wanted with her right now.

Fluttershy walked to the nearby park and sat down on a bench, where she found herself unable to hold in her tears. She let Twilight down. She promised to always protect Twilight, but she let her depression get the better of her. Even now she was unable to do anything for her.

“I hate myself…” Fluttershy sobbed hugging herself, “I… I… I'm horrible! All I do is put everyone I love in danger! I wish I were dead! Then I could stop hurting the people I love!” as she completely broke down, she didn't notice the person walking over to her bench.

“Um, excuse me,” a kind male voice said. Fluttershy slowly looked up and saw a gentle looking man with long white hair, wearing a white suit shirt, dark gray pants and matching vest, red tie, and dress shoes standing over her with a concerned expression.

“Oh… um…” Fluttershy didn't know what to say.

“I don't mean to intrude, but I happened to over hear a bit of what you were saying,” the man said.

“I'm… sorry…” Fluttershy said, now feeling silly.

“You don't have to apologize,” the man said kneeling down, “I was merely concerned when I heard that you wished you were dead.”

“W-well, it's true…!” Fluttershy said looking away, “Lately, just being alive is causing the people I love pain! I must be a terrible person!”

“And… why is it you feel like you're causing people pain?” the man asked, “Did you do anything to hurt anyone?”

“Not… consciously…” Fluttershy admitted, “But someone really close to me is in a lot of trouble! She's hurt because I let her down! And just the other day, I ended up putting everyone else I care about in danger! Twilight… always called me an angel… but if I were an angel, she wouldn't… she'd still be…!” she couldn't finish her sentence, and instead broke down into heavy sobs.

The man sat down on the bench next to Fluttershy and wrapped his arms around her, “You clearly must love this Twilight,” he said.

“I do. She saved my life. But now she's in danger, and I can't do anything for her.”

“Have you spoken to your parents about these feelings?” the man asked. Fluttershy looked away darkly.

“My parents… died…” she said softly.

“Oh dear… I'm sorry to hear that,” the man said, “It sounds to me like you're someone who's suffered a lot, and Twilight was someone who brought about a certain light in your world.”

“She was,” Fluttershy trembled as a fresh wave of tears built up, “But I couldn't save her! I couldn't do anything! And now I'm just hurting everyone else around me! I'm a terrible person!”

“No, that's not true at all,” the man said, “In fact, I'd say that you're the opposite. Even though your life has been filled with nothing but suffering, you still care about those around you, even more than yourself. I can see why Twilight called you an angel. Your state of mind is one of protecting what you have left, is it not?”

“Yes…!” Fluttershy sobbed, “I don't want anyone else to die or to be taken away!”

“However… wishing you were dead is not the way to help them. In fact, dying would probably hurt them even more. Tell me, is Twilight still alive?”

“She is,” Fluttershy said, “She's… just very far away…”

“You said that she's in danger. Are the police involved in this at all?” the man asked.

“They… wouldn't be able to help,” Fluttershy admitted, “I know it sounds odd, but this isn't something that the authorities can handle. The only one who can do anything…”

“Is… you?” the man asked. Fluttershy looked up at him, surprised by his understanding expression.

“More or less, yes,” Fluttershy stated.

“Then let me ask you this. Assuming you're right, that you're the only person who can save her, how would your death accomplish that? What good would your death do to help her?”

Fluttershy wanted to say something to counter that, but she couldn't. Truth was, when she thought about it like that, what the man said was right. If she died, they'd never be able to save Twilight. If XANA activated a tower, she was the only one who could break it's security and deactivate it. She was the only person who could tag the replica Lyokos XANA made, and she still knew more about Lyoko's functions than anyone there, including Sunset.

“I… guess me dying… wouldn't do any good for Twilight,” Fluttershy said somberly.

“I imagine right now things seem hopeless, and they might be hopeless at the moment, but as long as you're still alive, you can still do something. No, it might not be big, and it might not save your friend right away, but everything you do can and will bring you closer to saving her,” the man reached into his jacket and pulled out a card, “If you ever want to talk, this is my number. Feel free to set up an appointment.”

“Thank you sir...” Fluttershy said putting the card in her skirt pocket, “Um… I should probably get back to class. My free period is almost up and…”

“That's fine. My break is almost over too. I hope to see you again soon,” the man said.

“Yes, um… me too,” Fluttershy said. She stood up, bowed to the man, and then walked back to the school. She had a lot of thinking to do.

The man watched Fluttershy walk off, noticing that the dark air around her had lifted just a bit. Perhaps now she had enough clarity to make the right decision. He took a deep breath, and then slowly let it out.

“It's good to be helping,” he said with a peaceful smile.

The day finally came to an end, and Trixie was no closer to discovering where Twilight went. She couldn't get close enough to her friends to corner them. Well, Rarity she probably could have cornered, but that girl was still terrifying. She wasn't about to risk getting on her bad side.

So in the end, Trixie learned nothing.

“Twilight, what's going on?” Trixie asked, “Trixie is getting worried about you.”

Trixie walked past room 2-B, which was Twilight and Applejack's room, where she heard commotion. Was someone inside? Twilight was allegedly in France, and Applejack was in her fencing class with Rarity, so who was in the room?

Against her better judgment, Trixie opened the door and peaked inside, getting the shock of a lifetime. In the room, throwing clothes out of the drawers frantically, was Twilight.

“No… no… this won't do… ugh, that's too tacky!” Twilight fussed. She sounded a little odd to Trixie.

“T-Twilight…?” Trixie asked. Twilight flinched, and then slowly turned to Trixie, who did a double take. She was Twilight, but something about her seemed odd. Her eyes looked… different somehow. Like something was missing.

“Trixie!” Twilight called out running over to her and hugging her, “It's so great to see you!”

“I… don't believe it…” Trixie said trembling, “You're… here…”

“I'm so glad you came,” Twilight said tightening her embrace, “I missed you so much.”

“I… Trixie missed you too,” Trixie said returning the embrace, “Trixie heard that you were in France. You didn't call her or anything.”

“I'm sorry Trixie,” Twilight said sadly, “Something happened, and I had to disappear for a bit. Actually, I'm not even supposed to be here now. I just came to get a change of clothes.”

“Trixie can help,” Trixie said, “If you want, you can borrow some of Trixie's clothes.”

“Oh thank you so much!” Twilight said once again embracing Trixie, “You really are my best friend.”

Trixie returned the embrace, but felt really odd. It was clearly Twilight she was talking to. It looked like her, sounded like her, but something was there. It was almost like someone else was using Twilight's voice, and whoever that person was…

They scared Trixie, a lot.

Rarity was, as usual these days, tending to Spike. Truth was, it was therapeutic for her. Her therapist had suggested that she find a hobby that was relaxing, that way she could deal with her anxiety in a constructive manner. With how tense things had gotten at home, she needed something like this. She already had a cat, but cats were way more independent, so Opalescence didn't need her as much as a dog did.

/I wish you were a real dog, Spike,/ Rarity said in Russian, /I could really use the companionship./

Spike, as usual, looked at Rarity tilting his head as if listening, but then barked happily. Rarity knew that it was just a programmed response, but it felt nice to pretend that he could actually hear and understand her.

Rarity heard a familiar laugh up ahead. She looked in front of her and saw Trixie walking back to her dorm room, but with Twilight next to her! No, with how exuberant she looked, and the way she was walking, that wasn't Twilight.

That was XANA.

She couldn't alert them of her presence. There was no telling what XANA would do to Trixie if she revealed herself too soon. Instead, she pulled out her phone and sent everyone a quick text message, and then looked at Spike shushing him.

Tiho,” Rarity said, commanding Spike to stay quiet. Ever the obedient dog, he just looked up at her happily, not barking in the slightest. Rarity hooked Spike to her belt, and then proceeded to stalk Trixie and XANA.

Trixie was surprised by the outfits that Twilight seemed to gravitate toward. Shorter skirts, and lower cut tops. Twilight usually went with more modest attire; the shortest skirt Twilight ever wore went to her knees. Yet the skirt she picked out wasn't even half as long.

It just screamed to Trixie that something was wrong.

“So, how do I look, Trixie?” Twilight asked presenting herself to Trixie, now wearing a purple skirt that came down just to the bottom of her rear, and a shirt very similar to her usual one, just unbuttoned halfway, so her generous cleavage was free to breathe.

Trixie didn't know Twilight was actually so top heavy.

“Trixie thinks you look great,” Trixie said awkwardly, “It's just…”

“Yes?” Twilight asked.

“Is everything okay? You're acting a little… different than usual, Twilight.”

Twilight rolled her eyes, “Yes Trixie, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me,” Twilight smiled suggestively, “I'm not giving you any weird feelings, am I?”

Honestly, yes she was. That smile was unsettling. It was like looking at the devil itself.

“T-Twilight, where did you go?” Trixie asked slowly.

“Do you want to see?” Twilight asked walking over to Trixie, “I can show you where I was. I can trust you, right Trixie? After all, we're best friends, right?”

“R-right,” Trixie said, “You can trust me.”

“Good,” Twilight said with an almost sinister smirk, “But first, I need to take care of something.”

In the newly constructed Desert Sector, red electricity moved through the wires to a tower. Said tower's aura changed to red.

Sunset, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack were making their way to the dorm building when Sunset's laptop went off.

“Super scan?” Rainbow Dash asked as Sunset pulled out her computer.

“Yeah,” Sunset said opening her computer, “Just what we needed too.”

TOWER ACTIVATED

LOCATION: DESERT SECTOR

25 LAT, 13 LONG

“Why's he usin a tower in our Lyoko?” Applejack asked, “He's got a hundred of his own.”

“That is strange,” Sunset said, “But it might tell us a bit about how XANA works. That's later though. I'll get in touch with Fluttershy. Find Pinkie Pie and Rarity, and send them to the factory!”

“Got it!” Applejack said. Sunset packed up her computer and ran to her motorcycle, pulling out her phone.

“Fluttershy, a tower just activated in our Lyoko!” Sunset said.

“What? But… why did…” Fluttershy asked slowly.

“Applejack asked the same thing, and believe me, I plan on figuring that out. For now though, where are you?”

“I'm close to where Rarity is, I think,” Fluttershy said.

“Good, retrieve her and come to the factory!” Sunset said hanging up. She got on her motorcycle, put on her helmet, and drove off to the factory. While waiting for the others and searching for any specter activity, she could learn a thing or two about XANA.

“Twilight, what are you doing?” Trixie asked stepping away from Twilight, who was now sparking with red electricity.

“You said you trusted me, Trixie,” Twilight said, “I just want to bring you to my side. That way, we'll never be apart again,” she laughed maniacally, “DOESN'T THAT SOUND GREAT, TRIXIE?!”

Trixie noticed something odd glowing in Twilight's eye. It was a symbol. Something that looked a bit like an eye itself. She didn't know what that meant exactly, but she at least knew one thing.

“You…” Trixie said backing away, “You're not Twilight, are you?”

“Oh, this is Twilight,” she said, “However, you're right that the one you've been speaking to isn't. I didn't lie though, about reuniting you with her. Lying isn't in my programming.”

“Your programming…?” Trixie asked, “What are you? What did you do to Trixie's friend?!”

“I just made a few improvements to her,” the entity controlling Twilight said, “Now come, Trixie. I'll let you talk to her once you've been converted into an avatar for me as well. You two will get to share the same cell and everything.”

Realizing that she was in a lot of danger, Trixie ran to the door. Twilight held her hand out shooting electricity out at the door closing it. Twilight then grabbed Trixie and threw her onto the floor and stood on top of her holding her down as she struggled.

“What's the matter, Trixie?!” Twilight asked, “I thought you wanted to see your best friend again!”

“NOOOO!!!!!!!!” Trixie screamed at the top of her lungs as a black mist came out of her computer.

Rarity reached the door just as it closed and began tackling it to open it.

“Rarity!” Fluttershy screamed running over to her.

“Trixie is trapped in room with XANA!” Rarity said, “I think he's going to make her same as Twilight!”

“No he won't!” Fluttershy said stepping away from the door, “I won't let XANA hurt anyone else!” she screamed and charged into the door, actually breaking it open. Inside they saw Twilight/XANA standing over Trixie holding her down, a specter about to enter her.

Something within Fluttershy snapped, and she lunged at XANA pushing her away. Rarity took that as her chance to pick up Trixie and pulled her to her feet, but the specter lunged at them. Trixie screamed again, but Rarity pushed her out of the way, causing the specter to fly into her instead.

“RARITY!!!” Fluttershy screamed, as Rarity began sparking and shifting in and out like a static projection before falling to the floor limp. It looked like something hit the VR pet too, as its screen was flickering on and off and showing odd characters. Trixie did the smart thing and ran out the room.

XANA kicked Fluttershy to the ground and scowled at her, “You just don't know when to quit, do you?” XANA walked to the door, but Fluttershy grabbed her leg.

“Twilight, please! Don't let XANA use you like this!” Fluttershy urged.

“SHUT UP!!!” XANA screamed kicking Fluttershy off her leg, “Twilight finally understands how hopeless this struggle is! You'd do best to realize that yourself!”

XANA walked out of the room. Fluttershy got to her knees, but didn't rise up just yet. Instead she held her head and screamed in anguish. It was so hard to stay in control of herself and her emotions. What could she possibly do? How was she going to save Twilight and stop XANA?

A high pitched barking caught her attention. Fluttershy calmed down and turned to Rarity. She was still lying on the ground, but Spike was going crazy, barking frantically and pressing his paws against the screen of the device that was his home. Fluttershy walked over to Rarity as she stirred awake, ready for anything.

Oddly though, as Rarity sat up, her eyes didn't show the eye of XANA. Didn't the specter possess her?

“Rarity? Are you… still you?” Fluttershy asked.

Dah,” Rarity said holding her head, “Strangely. Specter wasn't able to connect.”

“Oh Rarity!” Fluttershy said embracing her surrogate older sister, “I was so afraid! I thought I lost someone else!”

Rarity returned the embrace, and then looked down at Spike, who was now jumping up and down happily.

“Spike? Were you afraid too?” Rarity asked the VR pet, who oddly barked in response, wagging his tail. Did he just…

“Rarity, we need to get the factory!” Fluttershy said, “XANA's tower is still activated, so that means XANA can still possess someone!”

Dah,” Rarity said, “I'll send text to Applejack to protect Trixie. Let's go to factory now.”

Fluttershy nodded, and helped Rarity up. The two of them ran out of Trixie's room, making their way to the secret passage.

Trixie ran through Canterlot High frantically, pushing through students and shoving them out of the way. On the way, she bumped unto Snips and Snails.

“Great and Lovely Trixie?” Snips asked, “What's wrong?”

“You were right!” Trixie said grabbing Snips and Snails' arms, “Twilight has been abducted by aliens! She's after Trixie right now! You have to protect Trixie!”

Behind Snips and Snails, more of that black mist shot out, this time going into them. The two freshmen boys flinched in pain knocking Trixie to the ground, but when they looked down at Trixie, their pupils turned into that symbol that was in Twilight's eyes.

“No…” Trixie begged, tears in her eyes, “Please no…! Snips…! Snails…!” the two boys grabbed Trixie and held her up turning her around as XANA walked over to her.

“I can take over anyone I want in this school,” XANA said caressing Trixie's cheek, “You can't escape me.”

“Hey XANA!” Applejack called out. She tackled XANA to the ground as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie knocked Snips and Snails away from Trixie. Rainbow Dash ran over to her and grabbed her arm.

“Come with me if you wanna live!” Rainbow Dash said pulling Trixie away. Applejack grabbed a nearby broom and held it like a bow staff as Pinkie Pie backed away from the fight, never taking her eyes off of XANA.

“Pinkie Pie, go with Dash!” Applejack commanded, “Ah'll deal with XANA!”

“But-” Pinkie Pie protested.

“Ah'll be fine! Go!” Applejack ordered. Pinkie Pie nodded and ran after Rainbow Dash and Trixie. Unfortunately, Snips and Snails ran after her.

“Are you prepared to fight Twilight, Applejack?” XANA asked, “She is your friend, after all.”

“Twilight, if you can hear me, Ah'm sorry fer what Ah have ta do,” Applejack said gripping the broom tightly, “Ah gotta stop XANA no matter what though.”

Applejack swung at XANA, who did an elegant back flip out of the way, a lot like how Twilight would move in Lyoko. She shot electricity at Applejack, knocking her to the ground.

“You don't have the guts to fight me,” XANA said walking over to Applejack, “This is the problem with humans. Your icky emotions of friendship holds you back.”

Applejack forced herself to her feet and glared at XANA. Hopefully someone was on their way to the factory right now, so they could put a quick end to all of this.

The elevator opened, and Fluttershy and Rarity ran into the computer room, where Sunset was frantically at work. Interestingly, she was smiling.

“Perfect timing,” Sunset said, “I've located exactly where the activated tower is.”

“Sunset,” Rarity said, “XANA tried to turn me into specter, but it didn't work.”

“Huh, not at all?” Sunset asked.

Nyet,” Rarity shook her head.

“That's interesting. I'll put that in my log as well,” Sunset said, “In the meantime, the two of you are heading to the Desert Sector. I'm already seeing monsters there, so brace yourselves.”

Fluttershy and Rarity nodded. Rarity handed Sunset the VR pet, and they took the elevator down to the scanner room. Sunset wished that more were going in, but for now they'd have to manage.

“Transfer Rarity!” Sunset said, closing Rarity's scanner as she entered it.

“Transfer Fluttershy!” Sunset said as Fluttershy entered her scanner, closing it immediately.

On the computer, Rarity's valkyrie avatar began rendering, “Scanner Rarity!”

Next on the computer, Fluttershy's angel avatar rendered, “Scanner Fluttershy! Virtualization!”

Sunset pressed the enter key, and the two girls vanished from their scanners, pulled into Lyoko.

In the Desert Sector, Rarity and Fluttershy rendered in the air and were dropped down onto the ground. Immediately a swarm of hornets fired at them. Rarity stood in front of Fluttershy and blocked with her sword.

“Sunset! I need Tera-Bike!” Rarity said.

“Got it,” Sunset said pulling up Rarity's Tera-Bike, “Sending your Tera-Bike now!”

Spike, oddly, was looking up at Sunset as she worked, and then seemed to look at the screen. Sunset took note, but she didn't pay it much mind. Still, VR pets had an impressive AI.

Rarity's silver and black Tera-Bike rendered next to her. She wasted no time jumping on her bike and starting it up.

“Fluttershy, let's go!” Rarity commanded. She drove off at top speed, and Fluttershy flew after her using her wings. As Fluttershy flew, she summoned her bow and turned to the hornets, preparing an arrow.

“Light Arrow!” Fluttershy called out. She killed one, but the remaining four fired at her. She managed to move out of the way of most of the assaults, but one shot hit her in the back knocking her to the ground.

Fluttershy: 80 HP

Rarity turned to her, and drove her Tera-Bike back after her. Right before she could reach her though, a tarantula fired at her Tera-Bike, knocking her to the ground.

Rarity: 75 HP

Rarity forced herself to her feet and saw two tarantulas walking in front of where Fluttershy was, blocking her. They pointed their guns and fired at her. Rarity rolled out of the way of the first wave of shots, but had to block the remaining with her sword. The blasts pushed her back away from Fluttershy.

Nyet!” Rarity cried, straining to block the incoming attacks, backing up to the edge of the platform toward the Digital Sea.

Fluttershy sat up and looked at Rarity. She tightened her fist, stood up and pointed her light arrow at a tarantula.

“Fluttershy, look out above you!” Sunset said. Fluttershy looked up in shock, and moved out of the way just in time before another hornet laser hit her.

“Fluttershy, you have to get out of there!” Sunset said.

“But… no!” Fluttershy said shaking her head, “The tarantulas are trying to push Rarity into the Digital Sea!”

“If you get devirtualized then we can't stop this attack!” Sunset said, “I'll think of someway to save Rarity, just take cover!”

Fluttershy growled in frustration and flew off, the hornets chasing after her. As she flew, she found the activated tower, but it was guarded by three krabs and a megatank. When she tried to fly down to it, she was bombarded by lasers from the monsters.

“FLUTTERSHY!!!” Sunset screamed. Fluttershy dodged all of the attacks and found a crevice to hide in. Once inside, she fell to her knees and cried in frustration.

“Why am I so weak?!” she sobbed, “I can't protect anyone!”

“Fluttershy…” Sunset sighed. She understood her frustration. XANA was almost too smart for them. How do you outsmart a computer program? CAN you outsmart a computer program?

And for the love of God, where was the mute button for that VR pet?

Sunset turned to Spike and was about to shout at it on impulse, but noticed something odd. The cute purple dog on the screen was sparking as he barked, and his expression was serious.

“Hang on…” Sunset said picking up the VR pet, “Are you… actually sentient in there?” Spike growled, and then continued barking. He then ran deeper into the background and started pacing around, and then ran back to the screen, putting his paws on the screen and barking at Sunset.

“Fluttershy, this is going to sound crazy, but I think we can help Rarity! I need your help though!”

“I can't help…” Fluttershy said helplessly, “I can't do anything…”

“Fluttershy-”

“Nothing I do will make a difference… I should have died ages ago…!”

“Fluttershy, SNAP OUT OF IT!!!” Sunset screamed, shocking Fluttershy.

“S-Sunset…?”

“I get it, alright? This is tough.” Sunset said closing her eyes, “We're fighting against something that seems unbeatable. XANA has strategy, he has an army, he has a lot more resources than us, and now he has both Celestia AND Twilight, but there's one thing we have that he doesn't. Heart. Soul. He doesn't have any of those things. In the end, he's nothing but an automated computer program. He follows a pattern, and we can learn it. He can get smarter, yes, but he can't go against his programming. We're humans, so we can adjust, we can become better, and we can win.”

“But this pattern you've fallen into,” Sunset continued as Fluttershy lowered her eyes listening intently, “Being reckless, rushing into danger with no regard for your life, and then collapsing from even the smallest shortcoming, this pattern isn't helping ANYONE.”

“Sunset Shimmer…” Fluttershy sobbed.

“You're Twilight's angel, right?!” Sunset asked, tears falling from her eyes, “You're the one she's waiting for! Not Applejack! Not Rarity! Not Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie,” she closed her eyes painfully, “or… me… You're the one she's praying for! How would she react if she saw her angel giving up like this?!

“Twilight loves you, Fluttershy! She loves you, and I promise, I will bring you two back together, but I can't do it without you! You know more about Lyoko and the computer than I do! All I can do is write programs from scratch, but when it comes to applying them to Lyoko, I'm lost! I want to save Twilight just as much as you, so HELP ME!”

As Fluttershy listened to Sunset's words, she was reminded of the words from the kind white haired man from the park.

I imagine right now things seem hopeless, and they might be hopeless at the moment, but as long as you're still alive, you can still do something. No, it might not be big, and it might not save your friend right away, but everything you do can and will bring you closer to saving her.

“Sunset,” Fluttershy said rising to her feet, “Tell me what you need.”

Sunset sighed in relief from the real world, “Okay, there's a deactivated tower right above you. I need you to go there and help me write a new program. This way we can save Rarity and maybe take a step forward in winning this war.”

“Alright,” Fluttershy said spreading her wings, “I'm on my way, and Sunset?”

“Yeah Fluttershy?”

“Thank you. I… really needed that.”

“No problem, Fluttershy,” Sunset said sitting back in her chair, “Anything I can do to help rescue Twilight.”

Sunset looked down at the VR pet resting on the dashboard. She pushed a button giving Spike a treat, which he happily ate. She could sort of see why Rarity liked this thing so much. Hopefully she and Twilight wouldn't mind what she was going to do to Spike.

If all went well, they were about to get help from an unexpected source.

Back in the school, Rainbow Dash took Pinkie Pie and Trixie to a storage shed and hid there. Poor Trixie was on her knees crying her eyes out as Pinkie Pie tried to comfort her.

“What's happening to them?” Trixie asked, “Why did Snips and Snails try to hurt Trixie? What is that thing that took over Twilight?”

“It's really hard to explain,” Pinkie Pie said, “Don't worry though, our friends are going to fix this.”

“You!” Trixie said pointing to Rainbow Dash, “This is your fault, isn't it!”

“My fault?” Dash asked, “Don't forget who saved your life!”

“You knew that Twilight was abducted by that XANA person!” Trixie said, “I bet you had that Sunset girl do something weird to her! Funny how all of a sudden the six of you are best friends!”

“I don't have time for this,” Dash said rolling her eyes. Trixie shot up and gripped Dash by the collar of her shirt.

“Change her back! Change Twilight back right now!” Trixie commanded.

“Don't you think we would if we could?!” Dash shouted in retaliation, “Now shut up, before you alert those two where we are!”

Dash shoved Trixie off of her, and turned back to the door listening out. Her phone vibrated, letting her know she had a text message.

Right outside. Leave it to me.

-Chaos

“Heh, looks like the cavalry's come,” Dash said, “And not a moment too soon.”

Snips and Snails were right outside the storage shed when Discord whistled to get their attention.

“Don't you boys know that's no way to pick up chicks?” Discord said, “Girls don't like stalkers, you know.”

Snips growled and pointed his hand out at Discord, who jumped out of the way. Snails rushed over to him and began throwing punches that Discord had no trouble blocking. It wasn't the same as fighting on Lyoko, but at least here he could at least stretch his aging legs.

Applejack was thrown back out into a hallway. Students and faculty ran around helplessly as XANA stepped out and grabbed Applejack by the neck picking her up.

“I wish you could hear her,” XANA said, “The way she's screaming, begging me to stop. She says she'll do anything if I agree to spare your life.”

“Twilight… don't give XANA… the satisfaction…!” Applejack said.

“Why do you resist?” XANA asked, “I genuinely don't understand. The struggle is pointless. I've already won. You have no means of destroying me or stopping my plans. So why not just surrender?”

“Twilight's… my friend!” Applejack said grabbing XANA's arm, “Ah'll fight you… fer as long as it takes ta save her!”

“Friendship is irrational,” XANA said, “You're willing to die on the chance that you might be able to rescue your friend? How do you plan on doing that? What is your plan?”

“Ah don't know yet…!” Applejack said, “But Ah do know that Ah ain't gonna let you win XANA!”

XANA rolled her eyes, “Stupid human girl,” she threw Applejack into a locker, “Say goodbye to Applejack, Twilight. You're going to watch as I suck the life out of her.”

Just as XANA prepared herself to fire, Vice-Principal Luna rushed into her and shoved her to the ground. At the same time, Nurse Cadance ran up to Applejack and tended to her.

“Oh dear,” Cadance said, “She's badly hurt.”

“Cadance! I'm counting on you to take care of her!” Luna said getting in a fighting stance, “She's… special to me.”

“Someone who managed to soften your hardened heart?” Cadance asked tauntingly, “What is this?”

“I'd… rather not talk about it,” Luna said. She rushed over to XANA and engaged her without hesitation, throwing punches and kicks almost as good as a martial artist. Who would have thought she was actually that good of a fighter.

“Come on!” Cadance said carrying Applejack away, “She'll be fine!”

“Who… are you…?” Applejack asked.

“Someone who loves Twilight,” Cadance said, “That's all you need to know right now.”

She escorted Applejack to the nurse's office. Applejack couldn't believe it, but she had a suspicion of who this woman was. If she was right, then she better kept quiet about it for a bit.

“Alright,” Fluttershy said typing on the control panel in her tower, “I'm ready to install the new program. Is it written?”

“Yeah, it's written,” Sunset said making the finishing touches on her end, “I'm transferring the program to you to install into Lyoko.”

“How's Rarity doing?” Fluttershy asked.

“She's still on the surface,” Sunset said, “Rarity, you good?”

“Just… peachy…!” Rarity said, still blocking the assault from the tarantulas, “But if you have plan, then that would be appreciated!”

Sunset took the VR pet and hooked a USB cable to it, connecting it to the super computer. She then began typing on the computer, pulling up information on what appeared to be a cybernetic canine of some sort.

“Launching Spike program! Transfer!” Sunset said, pressing the enter key. On the VR pet, Spike barked in determination, broke up into tiny white pixels, and vanished. Sunset actually saw white electricity flowing through the USB cable into the computer.

“Well what do you know…?” Sunset asked, “Spike was real, wasn't he?”

In Lyoko, near the tower Fluttershy was working in, something rendered into Lyoko. It was a large cybernetic wolf with a sharp, purple spiny armored body with a green underside, glowing sharp green eyes that made it look ferocious, and sharp teeth. The wolf had a long tail with what appeared to be a laser at the end, sharp razor sharp claws on its paws, and standing on all fours it came up to the height of a small horse. Oddly, on its back was the eye of XANA.

Once the wolf fully rendered, it gave a loud howl that was slightly distorted like a machine's howl. The hornets flew down to the wolf and looked at it. For a second they looked like they didn't know what to do. The wolf on the other hand, targeted all four hornets.

The wolf opened its mouth, built up green fire in its mouth, and fired a green fireball at the hornets, killing one. The remaining three fired at the wolf, but it jumped away from the attacks. The wolf fired more fireballs at the hornets, killing all three.

Fluttershy stepped out of the tower and looked at the mechanical wolf in shock.

“What is that?” Fluttershy asked nervously.

“That, Fluttershy, is Spike,” Sunset said, “He's here thanks to you.”

“I… helped you make this?” Fluttershy said, walking over to Spike, who turned to Fluttershy and knelt down in front of her. She held her hand out for Spike to sniff, and he then licked her face, “I think he likes me.”

“He probably remembers you,” Sunset said, “This is Rarity and Twilight's VR pet after all. I don't know why he turned into this on Lyoko though.”

“Can he understand us?” Fluttershy asked.

“He should,” Sunset said.

“Spike honey,” Fluttershy said looking into Spike's eyes, “Rarity is in danger. Can you help me rescue her?”

Spike looked at Fluttershy intently, lowered his head as if nodding, and then took off at high speed, actually running in the direction of the tarantulas. Once they were in range, Spike rolled into a ball sort of like Pinkie Pie, but instead turned into a razor wheel and shot through the tarantulas, killing them instantly.

Rarity lowered her sword and looked at Spike as he walked over to her. He lowered his head and made a sad whining noise, almost like he was asking if she was okay.

“S-Spike…?” Rarity asked walking over to the wolf and petting him, “You came to rescue me?”

“He was going crazy,” Sunset said from the real world as Fluttershy flew down to join them, “I think whatever XANA tried to do to you instead had a slight affect on the VR pet, giving him sentience like XANA.”

“You were worried about me, weren't you Spike?” Rarity asked lovingly. Spike licked Rarity's face in response.

“Rarity, I found the tower, but I need help getting to it,” Fluttershy said.

“Leave that to us,” Rarity said. Spike lied down on the ground and looked up at Rarity, “You want me to get on back?” Rarity asked. Spike wagged his tail, still looking at Rarity. Rarity smiled and sat on Spike's back as he stood up.

Spike took off with Rarity, and Fluttershy flew after them. It didn't take long for them to reach the tower. The krabs stepped forward first, firing continuously at Rarity and Spike. Spike moved to the side out of the way as Rarity charged up her sword and shot her shock wave, killing one of the krabs.

Fluttershy readied her bow and arrow and fired at the two remaining krabs in succession, destroying both of them instantly. Rarity jumped off of Spike, flipped over the megatank, and landed right behind it.

Rarity VS Megatank

The megatank opened up and charged up its attack, but Spike shot fireballs at it distracting it. Rarity wasted no time jumping on top of the megatank getting her sword ready.

“Impact!” Rarity said thrusting her sword into the eye. She jumped off the megatank as it exploded, and Fluttershy jumped down in front of the tower and ran toward it, instantly phasing inside.

Fluttershy didn't slow down for a second, running to the center of the tower. She stopped and allowed herself to be lifted to the upper platform.

XANA managed to knock Luna down to the ground. She walked over to her and charged up her electricity, firing it at the older woman, electrocuting her.

“It's a shame what side you chose, Selene!” XANA said, “You could have been spared!”

Fluttershy did a mid air back flip right before landing on the upper platform. She walked over to the control panel and typed furiously to break its security.

Snips and Snails finally overwhelmed Discord and knocked him into a wall. While Snips walked over to him, Snails blasted through the door of the storage shed.

Trixie screamed holding onto Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash ran over to Snails and threw a punch, but she was immediately blasted across the room and knocked unconscious.

“Dashie!” Pinkie Pie cried helplessly. Both she and Trixie looked up at Snails as he loomed over them, “Fluttershy, hurry!”

Once the security was cleared, Fluttershy placed her hand on the touch screen.

FLUTTERSHY

CODE

LYOKO

Snips and Snails both fell down limp, and black mist came out of their bodies.

“Thank God,” Pinkie Pie said in relief.

“Is it over?” Trixie asked.

“Almost,” Pinkie Pie said, “We just need to clean up a bit now.”

XANA stopped electrocuting Luna and looked to the side scowling.

“What?! They deactivated it?!” XANA fussed, “Don't expect to win like this again!” she shot at Luna, who sat up and smirked arrogantly at XANA.

“Tower deactivated,” Fluttershy said, looking down into the abyss as the coding on the walls dropped into the darkness. A second later, a white light shined from the darkness, and shot out engulfing everything.

Back in the real world, Sunset pushed the enter key, “Return to the past, now!”

The factory, school, and the whole world was consumed by the light, and everything went back twenty-four hours into the past.

In the cafeteria, the group gathered to discuss the changes to the team, among the new information that they gathered from this latest attack.

“Everyone, I'd like to introduce everyone to Spike,” Sunset said, turning her laptop to show everyone the wolf from Lyoko, appearing on the screen in a similar manner that Fluttershy used to back when she was trapped in Lyoko.

“He evolved! Spike evolved!” Pinkie Pie said happily, “Funny… that's not in that particular pet's evolution line.”

“When XANA tried to possess Rarity, some of his energy hit the VR pet,” Sunset said, “I've made a few programs so we can take care of him from the real world, but for the most part he's self sustaining. He's going to be helping us from now on.”

“Not to be a downer, but how's that mutt supposed to help us?” Dash asked. Spike growled in response, making Dash step back a bit, “Whoa, he understood me?”

“He actually understands both English and Russian,” Fluttershy said, “Speaking of, I'm sorry about your VR pet Rarity?”

“It's fine,” Rarity said waving it off, “If it helps save Twilight, then I'm willing to share Spike.”

“Spike is going to be working on Lyoko,” Sunset explained, “He can track XANA's movements in real time, so we'll be able to narrow our search for the Lyoko that leads to where XANA is keeping Twilight.”

“Not bad,” Applejack said, “Welcome to the team Ah guess, Spike.”

Spike howled in response.

“So, do we know why XANA used out Lyoko?” Dash asked, “Cause that was weird.”

“Also, why didn't I become specter?” Rarity asked, “I'm sure it entered me.”

“Well, concerning you not becoming a specter,” Sunset began, “I think it's because you guys are a part of the super computer. You see, every time XANA has taken over one of us, he's had to use the scyphozoa to do it, where as with anyone else he's able to use a specter. Even though we're out here in the real world, we're still made of data somewhat, so in order to possess us XANA has to alter that data.”

“Like with corruption or what he did ta Twilight,” Applejack said.

“Exactly. That being said, saving Twilight has just gotten a lot easier,” Sunset said, surprising everyone.

“Wait, what?!” Dash asked, “You mean…”

“XANA doesn't realize it, but he actually screwed up,” Sunset said, “We thought that what he did to Twilight was worse than corruption, but he actually made it easier to save Twilight. With this, we have two possible ways to rescue her. Way number one is I create a program that corrects Twilight's data, reverting her to normal. Way number two, and this is the most fool proof plan, we still find the tower XANA is using to hold onto Twilight, and Fluttershy deactivates it.”

“Can you deactivate towers outside of our Lyoko?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“I register as a Lyoko security program,” Fluttershy explained, “With that, I can hack into any tower's security and deactivate it. It will take longer than it would to deactivate one of our towers, but as long as I can get into their security, I can deactivate them.”

“Tower XANA uses for Twilight must be heavily guarded,” Rarity said, “It will be hardest tower to hack into.”

“I know it will, but I'm prepared,” Fluttershy said, “Twilight is counting on me.”

“As for why XANA needed to use our Lyoko today,” Sunset continued, “This is more of a theory at the moment, but I think towers are location sensitive.”

“What, so he can only affect an area that has a Lyoko in it by using that Lyoko?” Dash asked.

“Basically,” Sunset stated, “If he wanted to do something in France, then he'd have to have a Lyoko in France, and he'd have to activate a tower in that Lyoko. All of the attacks you guys stopped before were contained here in Canterlot. That's because he had to activate towers here. XANA is powerful, yes, but in the end, he's still a computer program that has to follow rules.”

“Oooh, this is so exciting! Think about it guys, we're actually getting close to figuring out how to stop XANA!” Pinkie Pie cheered.

“It's almost hard ta believe,” Applejack said, “We've been fightin for so long, Ah never thought we'd get ta this point.”

“Spike honey,” Rarity said, “I need you to work extra hard to search for Twilight. We're counting on you.”

Spike barked in response, and vanished from the screen. Apparently he didn't want to waste any time.

When the bell rang, Fluttershy and Rarity walked to the door together.

“Now, are you sure you don't want escort?” Rarity asked Fluttershy.

“I'll be fine,” Fluttershy said, “Um… thank you for getting in touch with your therapist for me. He didn't mind?”

“Not at all,” Rarity said waving it off, “He loves helping people, and when I told him you were good friend of mine, he requested you come in today.”

“Oh Rarity,” Fluttershy hugged Rarity, “Thank you.”

“You're welcome, darling,” Rarity said, “Good luck.”

Fluttershy nodded and walked out of the school. Rarity smiled watching her leave, and then made her way to her English class. Blank Scroll wouldn't mind it if she were a little late. Hell, he was probably already asleep.

The building was a little intimidating, but Fluttershy found the place easy enough. She sat down in the waiting room, both anxious and a little disappointed. She had wished she could have contacted the nice man from earlier, but she never memorized his number.

But he did show her something. She needed help. Sure, she was feeling better after her talk with Sunset, but she still had thoughts that scared her. If she was going to be able to help Twilight, then she needed to get her head right. Hopefully Rarity's therapist would be as nice as the man she spoke to before.

“Alright,” a familiar voice said stepping out of the door in front of her, “Is there a Fluttershy here?”

She couldn't believe it. What were the odds. The man from before. He was Rarity's therapist.

“Um…” Fluttershy was speechless.

“I'm sorry, are you okay?” he asked.

“Yes!” Fluttershy said, “I'm fine, it's just… you reminded me of someone I met before,” she stood up and held out her hand, “I'm Fluttershy Sandora.”

The man smiled warmly and took her hand, finally introducing himself to Fluttershy.

“I'm Dr. Wolf.”
