Chapter 17: City Defense & Octopaw Chase 3


The scene returns to where we see Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie slowly and gently falling through the starry night skies. They soon landed on the pavement of the outskirts of Dream Gate, and slowly started to make their way to the foundation. After having first rescue NiGHTS and handle Cerberus, Twilight’s Team felt like everything was gonna be okay….but maybe that was being too rash. For learning the truth about the jester being a Nightmaren, something was pulling at the back of the ponies minds. But that was push aside when Owl was seen flying down to meet and greet the group.

“Hoo-hoo…You show great bravery, Visitors.” Owl commented in seeing what the pony group has done from helping out NiGHTS in Delight City.

“Yeah, we sure did!” Pinkie Pie spoke off while sounding…less enthusiastic about it.

“Right, but in truth, it felt a little off.” Applejack rub the back of her neck in feeling something was off during that time.

“Off, you say?” Owl raised an eyebrow in having heard this.

“We’re still a little unsure about…well, about NiGHTS.” Twilight spoke in looking down in knowing about the matter involving NiGHTS…as a Nightmaren.

Having heard that caused AJ & Pinkie Pie to go into a slump state, just like Twilight. Owl was noticing this and knew he had to help cheer this group up from self-doubt’s return.

“I know that you must still be shaken, Visitors. Still, you must trust NiGHTS.” Owl spoke in giving his own advice to the ponies that still have some second thoughts about NiGHTS’s background, but they mustn’t let that stop them from trusting the one they call…friend.

“You’re right, we’re being silly. After all, NiGHTS was in trouble, remember?” Pinkie Pie responded off in thinking Owl was right, they are being silly to let something like that get them down.

“Come ta think of it, yer right, she was. An’ she was scared when she heard it was dat Cerberus critter.” Applejack pondered to think that NiGHTS wasn’t really sounding like she and the Nightmarens get along; they even sick a vicious dog on her.

“They said NiGHTS was a traitor, could it be….that though she was a Nightmaren, what they were doing, NiGHTS felt against it?” Twilight spoke in having to think for a second, they heard what was said about NiGHTS, so maybe…she left the Nightmarens or something.

“That my dear Visitor, might be closer to the truth than you realize.” Owl wisely spoke forth in giving this answer to the group in which they must solve it themselves. “Until then, I shall see you in Delight City. NiGHTS will be there, so do have faith in her…as you have in the past.” Owl stated for the ponies to trust in NiGHTS like they had before, and that if they do…everything will be fine.

Then the next minute afterwards, Owl vanished into thin air without a trace here while only his feathers flapped around until they touch the ground.

“And….he’s gone again.” Pinkie Pie slowly stated in seeing what happened to Owl here.

“Let’s quickly return to Delight City girls.” Twilight issued this to her friends in what to do and where to go next.

“Why hun? Is it fer de Ideya?” Applejack asked in thinking that was the reason of their rush.

“There’s that, but…it’s also a world reflected from my heart, and…I wanna know…what there is about it.” Twilight spoke in knowing Delight City is connected, and she wants to learn what they are. “So, if we’re ready, then let’s go. And no matter what, NiGHTS is our friend first, Nightmaren second.” Twilight look to her friends in making this serious declaring matter that no matter what, they are not to mistreat NiGHTS who has been doing the best to be their friend.

“Right!” AJ & Pinkie Pie responded off in agreement here.

Soon the ponies walk up to the next Door that was just before them that would lead to Delight City. As they open them doors, the white light enter through it that slowly was enveloping them. Once they pass through, the doors were closing in while everything was fading to white. For what sorta events shall happen when the gang return to that dream world…we shall see it soon…

At this moment, the scene shows NiGHTS flying to leave a star dust trail while the pony spirit forms of Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie are seen. They were heading towards the futuristic city of neon lights.

“Hey, NiGHTS, can I ask you something?” Twilight’s spirit spoke off in sounding somewhat bothered to ask something suddenly, just as they and NiGHTS cease flying to simply hover a bit.

“Huh? What is it?” NiGHTS responded off puzzled, what was it that was being asked here?

“Well, I mean, it’s nothing major…” Twilight’s spoke off in trying to figure out how to bring the words in correctly.

“Nothing major?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit raised her eyebrow in having heard such a strange statement that sounded fishy to her.

“Come on Twilight, spit it out! Get it off yer chest now!” Applejack’s spirit stated in knowing her friend was trying to cover up wanting to know something about this world of her heart.

“Alright you two.” Twilight’s spirit sighed in seeing she was being pushed into a corner to spill the beans. “It’s just, NiGHTS…could we maybe go back to that city, with the neon lights?” Twilight’s spirit asked off this sudden request in where she would like to go.

“Hm?” NiGHTS hummed to think about that, sounds like Twilight is curious about the city and its lights for some reason.

“Well gee silly, if that was all, why make such a slow deal about it?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit smirked off to say in not seeing any real harm in doing that.

“I’m guessing it has something’ ta do about this world of yer heart, hugh?” Applejack’s spirit questioned in figuring this was relating to Twilight in some way.

“Well…it’s just that…the city at night time, it feels…like that’s what the real world is like, for grown up ponies.” Twilight’s spirit slowly responded off to say this while wanting to hold out her arms to grasp the city. “And one day, I’m going to grow into a full adult mare and I’ll live in a world just like that.” Twilight’s spirit held out her left hand which NiGHTS mimicked in what was being said about her possible future ahead.

“Oh, I see. It’s just like you see on TV, or in the movies.” Pinkie Pie’s spirit butted in to wave off the arms in trying to explain the case of how things develop involving being all grown up.

“Ye both do realize, much of them things might not have been told in a world of dreams, right?” Applejack’s spirit pointed out this fact that seem to make the two ponies yelp in realizing their friend was spot on.

“Ah, sorry NiGHTS. Maybe you probably wouldn’t understand.” Twilight’s spirit responded to apologize in suddenly speaking nonsense along with Pinkie Pie, about stuff NiGHTS may not understand.

“Okay, let’s go!” NiGHTS suddenly held up her right hand to make a thumbs up in encouraging her group that they go see the city upon Twilight’s request. “I’d like to scope out Nightopia at night myself.” NiGHTS smiled off to rest her hands on her waist while starting this to her surprised smiling friends in going to comply to the task.

“Really? Thanks, NiGHTS!” Twilight responded in being very surprised, and felt very grateful that NiGHTS took in her somewhat selfish request.

“Yeah, you’re a pal!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit replied off with a happy smile on her face.

“Yep, a fine one at dat.” AJ’s spirit nods off to simply say this on her own option.

Suddenly without warning, the Nightopians are seen flying from the city, sounding worried, scared and terrified to be crying a bit. They were soon passing by NiGHTS & the pony spirits without stopping as they were trying to flee. Also, the background was playing ‘EVENT - Bad News’ during some alert notice.

“Oh, it’s terrible! A whole horde of Nightmarens are attacking!” Owl was seen among the crowd of scared Nightopians to flap off while sounding very concern with worry to speak this out before NiGHTS & the ponies.

“What?!” Twilight’s spirit yelled out in having been told this, the enemy is attacking now.

“They’re attacking Twilight’s city!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit exclaimed in worry in having been told of this.

“Darn them varmints!” Applejack’s voice cursed in seeing someone was doing such a lowdown thing.

“They want to use the city as a base for their invasion of Nightopia! Hoo!” Owl explained the serious case of what the Nightmarens are gonna do with the city if nothing is done to stop them, it’s enough to give him shivers.

“What do you want to do, Twilight? It looks like your city is in danger.” NiGHTS asked off towards Twilight’s spirit in asking what she wants to do

“If it’s in danger…then I’m going to protect it!” Twilight’s spirit stated forth in being determine; this place is like her kingdom, she can’t let anyone misuse it for their own evil.

“And we’ll help too!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit declared off in being ready to go into action.

“Right, we’ve handle invaders before!” AJ’s spirit issued off to mention this sorta thing happened in their own world.

“Al right! Then let’s make sure those Nightmarens go right back to where they came from!” NiGHTS pump up her right fist which the pony spirits performed in declaring this statement in what to do.

Then without warning, NiGHTS was taking off while Owl watch them leave him to go into the city to help clear away the enemy. NiGHTS was soaring up high to get a better view of where to find the enemies.

“Good luck out there.” Owl whispered off in wishing those going into battle the best of wishes here.

At this moment, NiGHTS was seen having enter to hover within the center of the neon light city, at which the background was playing ‘Electrical Entertainment: Neon City Battle’ during this moment. The pony spirits were awaiting to know just what it is they need to do here.

“Listen, we need to track down and defeat the Nightmares that are attacking the neon city!” NiGHTS was explaining the case in point of what they need to do here.

“Okay!” Twilight’s spirit nods in hearing what they are told here.

“Got it!” Applejack’s spirit also agrees to the plan to get rid of the problem.

“Roger!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit spoke off in having understood too.

Soon at the time, NiGHTS began to soar forth in taking a path in where to go. Applejack was having NiGHTS go through the front straightway of the city from being at its highest point. Then spotting a flag pole with a color yellow sphere, she touched it to active. Then she took a Ring elevator down and soon found a Mothpil before Drill Dash it to which it began to bounce off the walls like a brown ball. Then there was another Mothpil down the alley that NiGHTS' Drill Dash to knock it away which it too bounce around.

“Wow, they sure are bouncy.” Pinkie Pie’s spirit commented on how they knock those Nightmarens across.

“Well we ain’t here ta bounce an’ play.” AJ’s spirit quoted off to mention this to her pal.

“But we’re not sure what they’ll do, we don’t have any info about how the Mothpils will fight us?” Twilight’s spirit questioned that they need to know how to attack while not being attacked by the enemy.

“There you are!” Owl suddenly appeared to flap down to speak with the gang. “Listen, I can tell you what you must do! Go through the middle of the Mothpil light rings to avoid being hit by them!” Owl explain the case in how to avoid being hit by the Mothpils when they attack.

“Thanks for the tip Owl, will do.” NiGHTS gave a thumbs up in having been told of that handy info.

Then upon making a sharp turn down another alley corner, and soon found another Mothpil, this time, performing a Paraloop on it. Then Pinkie Pie took over to have NiGHTS go up another Ring elevator to be on the top story building view. Then NiGHTS found another Mothpil near a large disco sphere off a building before Paralooping the target to which it was defeated.

“Hoo…good work.” Owl pops in again in having seen what the gang has done. “After defeating the Nightmarens, that switch revealed itself.” Owl explained the case from with the enemy’s defeat, something is revealed.

“Really?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked off in having been told of this now.

“Well we best use it.” Twilight’s spirit stated in thinking they mustn’t waste on something if it’s to be helpful to them.

“Then let’s go!” NiGHTS spoke off in saying it’s time they move out.

“Right, lead on!” AJ’s spirit nods to say this in raring to go.

Now NiGHTS was seen going through a pink Ring elevator to begin going downwards to the bottom streets of the city. There, NiGHTS went down an alley where two other Mothpils that were there, but the jester Drill Dash to knock the enemies to bounce off the walls. Heading to the dead end part of the alley, NiGHTS found a chest, open it to receive Blue Chips before turning to go down the straightway and encounter another Mothpil. After taking it down, she rode the Ring elevator to go up again.

“Second floor, evil Nightmarens!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit issued off in seeing where they are.

“Does she like making strange random quotes?” NiGHTS asked off in seeing that random act the pink pony was doing for no reason at all.

“Pretty much.” The spirits of Twilight & Applejack responded off plainly and simply on that mark.

Now Twilight was piloting NiGHTS as she had the jester go after any Mothpils in the area that the smart pony figure they be in. Then taking another Ring elevator down, found one Mothpil to knock it to bounce off, another to Paraloop before taking the next Ring elevator going up. Going down one pathway, NiGHTS encounter two Mothpils as the jester Paraloop one, the second fired a sonic ring wave, but it miss and then the second target got Paralooped.

“Looks like after defeating these Nightmarens, that switch finally reveled itself.” NiGHTS gestured over a location of where to get another color sphere to active.

“Then let’s find de thing.” AJ’s spirit issued off in what they can do here.

“Right, let’s keep going.” Twilight’s spirit responded off in also agreeing to the matter.

Soon NiGHTS flew over near another Ring elevator to go down and flew across the bottom alley ways. She flew to do a Drill Dash against one Mothpil before making turns to find another Nightmaren to attack. But as the gang tries to find more, they clash against another Mothpil and move on to tackle another one a few districts away from them. But when they made a turn in believing to find another foe, it was instead a dead end wall.

“This appears to be a dead end, hoo.” Owl showed up to tell the gang of where they were, there was no path to go here.

“We have to retrace our steps.” Twilight’s spirit stated in what they should do now here.

“Right, let’s keep at this girls!” NiGHTS responded off to say this in knowing they shouldn’t call it quits yet.

“Ye got it/Roger!” Applejack & Pinkie Pie’s spirits responded in agreeing to that idea very much.

Having to leave the dead end alley, NiGHTS flew off to pass more corners in the alley before impacting another Mothpil along the way. And then after knocking off a second Mothpil, the gang had to try to locate the last two. They flew into a color sphere, activated it, and soon rode on a Ring elevator to go upwards. NiGHTS flew until she found another Mothpil before Paralooping it and then spotted the last one below. So taking a Ring elevator down, NiGHTS Paraloop the last Mothpil to be taken out. And from looking around, there was no more enemies in sight.

“We done it girls, that’s the last of them.” NiGHTS smiled off proudly in stating they got rid of all the Nightmarens.

“So we saved the city?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked off if they managed to complete their objective.

“Yep, we done did it!” AJ’s spirit nodded off in smiling to know that they done good here.

“Thank goodness.” Twilight’s spirit sigh with relief in having heard this now.

“And with that, the Nightopians can come back too and live in the city you made for them.” NiGHTS exclaimed to say in looking at many happy Nightopians coming around as they smiled with relief.

At this moment, the background was soon playing ‘Peaceful Moment’ at this time as the pony spirits cheered in seeing that they help stop all the invading Nightmarens and saved Neon City. Even NiGHTS was seen doing her usual victory spin twirl and then pose afterwards in celebrating their victory moment. The pony spirits smiled in seeing their friend seem so very happy, it was enough to be glad that NiGHTS is really on their side.

“Well now, are you all ready to head on back to Dream Gate?” NiGHTS asked off if her friends are now ready to return to where they once were.

“Sure are.” AJ’s spirit nodded off to say that she was ready.

“I’m ready!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit also stated in being ready to get going to.

“We’ll leave now, but we’ll come back soon, right…?” Twilight asked off in wondering if they’ll at least return to see this city again.

“Sure thing, this city isn’t going anywhere, I can promise you that.” NiGHTS smiled off to easily say this to her friends.

With everyone smiling in having like the sounds of coming back, NiGHTS soon was taking off now. As they flew by, they pass the Nightopians that were happily waving goodbye to their saviors. As the scene fads out, we know where to find everyone, right back at Dream Gate. And with that, everything goes dark at this time from another challenge completed. At the same time, the background theme also ended as well…

The scene shows Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie slowly and gently falling across the starry night skies. Soon the ponies landed on the pavement which was connecting to the fountain right within Dream Gate. The gang slowly move in to seeing how much things are still the same here. But they also come across the Door that will take them to Delight City.

“Well, there’s dat Door there.” Applejack smiled off in seeing the Door they took to go to that other world.

“Hugh? No one’s here to greet us. Maybe they left for the city.” Pinkie Pie spoke off in seeing NiGHTS & Owl aren’t here, wonder why’s that unless they are in Delight City.

“It’s possible Pinkie Pie.” Twilight spoke in thinking that was one of many possibilities.

“Still, yer place is pretty good Twilight.” Applejack stated off in giving some comment about Twilight’s dream world.

“Yeah, you must have had big dreams even when you were little.” Pinkie Pie smiled off to say about what Twilight must have dreamt up when she was little.

“Well, that’s one way of putting it. When I was little, I did have big dreams.” Twilight blush a bit in having had such dreams even if she was a filly, might have been from being Celestia’s student and about her future.

“And they look like fun ones too!” Pinkie Pie issued to say this with a perky smile.

“Right, we almost thought ye had books in them.” Applejack nods off to say that they thought Twilight have books in her own place.

“Eheh-heh, right…books.” Twilight chuckled sheepishly in getting the jokes, cause she like books and from once being a Liberian.

“Well come on, lets mossy on down then.” Applejack declared forth in saying it’s time they get moving here.

“Right, that Ideya ain’t gonna find itself, you know?” Pinkie Pie nods off in being determine to go and find their next Ideya.

“Good thinking girls, let’s get moving.” Twilight nodded off in having been told this, they got to find the next Ideya as fast as they can.

Wasn’t long before the ponies were approaching the Door that would take them back to Delight City. After slowly opening the doors, they were bask in its white light from what is beyond. And after slowly entering that door to go to that world, it began to shut itself. The gang are about to face another challenge ahead, and hopefully, they can handle what they are going to face next here…

The scene shows NiGHTS flying above to look down at the grassy field outside of Delight City. But from what was seen floating off on its own was none other than another strangely familiar creature the gang have seen before. That same floating blue octopus…yep, it was Octopaw! At that same time, the background was playing ‘Cowardly Custard’ during this little theme moment.

“Look! It’s Octopaw!” NiGHTS gestured out to her friends in who was here as Octopaw turn in having heard something to see that he had company and decided to move off while expelling Rings. “I know you must be pretty good at flying by now girls.” NiGHTS turn to the pony spirit forms of Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie in giving them some praising words of how well they’ve done in flying.

“You really think so?” Twilight’s spirit asked in feeling like they have learn to magically fly than without using any wings.

“Well Twilight aside, me and Pinkie Pie are still new ta de whole fly around.” AJ’s spirit honestly spoke that for those that never had wings, this was still all new for them.

“Come on, let’s keep up with this little fellow, I mean, if you can!” NiGHTS cheerfully invited her friends to participate in chasing after Octopaw, if they can that is.

You’ve got it!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit responded in liking to accept the challenge.

“I’ll happily take on de challenge!” AJ’s spirit responded off in liking to do her best here.

“Right, after all, we aren’t calling it quits yet!” Twilight responded in determination that they shall do this…together.

“Okay! Let’s do it, then!” NiGHTS declared off to say, as she was flying low for her and the others to prepare to chase after Octopaw here.

Wasn’t long before they reach some part of the city area where Octopaw was stationing itself. At the same time, the background theme was change to ‘Catch Me If You Can’ to begin what would happen here. NiGHTS and her friends were now ready in where they were position to chase after this little octopus.

“Remember. We fly through the Rings that Octopaw leaves behind and get at least 30 Links before he changes to a new area!” NiGHTS explained the rundown on how this was gonna work as a training to help those Dualized with her handle flying.

“Right!” The pony spirits responded in having been told what to do here, and shall do so.

Now things truly begun as Applejack was piloting NiGHTS to fly on through some Rings now, then shot from a jar cannon over the colorful bright lights of the city. A loop-de-loop on a pole to collect BlueChips, then dive down to go through more Rings along the path, then shot out another jar cannon to continue the routine while seeing Octopaw in sight. While going after Octopaw, the gang enter a familiar room with slot levers.

“Oh! It’s those slot games!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit perk at seeing this familiar sight.

“Pinkie, we’re chasing’ dat octopus, not playing games.” AJ’s spirit sternly reminds her goofy friend of their objective here.

“Hey, no reason we can’t do both, right?” NiGHTS shrug off to simply say this in feeling there’s no harm to squeeze in a little fun while on a chase.

“I think Pinkie Pie's plans are to that logic.” Twilight’s spirit pointed off in noticing her pink pony pal was looking eager to play games.

Deciding to just go with the flow, the gang pressed the giant slot levers for the slot pictures to start rolling, all while chasing after Octopaw and going through the Rings he expelled out. Pinkie Pie was in control as she had been having NiGHTS push the slot levers while going through Rings. But Octopaw squirt out ink to blind the approaching pursuers, but NiGHTS managed to dodge and continue onwards, collect Blue Chips, go through Rings, etc. Right until the gang came out of the area while having won another big prize from getting the right slots and winning a prize.

“Boy, if any of our pals saw this, wonder wha they say.” AJ’s spirit commented on what their friends say if they saw what this group was doing.

“Well, I recall one pony from Las Pegasus who’s good at these gamble-type games.” Twilight’s spirit spoke off in recalling something from her past of meeting a stallion that was a great gambler, he had strong luck on his side too.

“Oh, maybe that’s how you got this in a city world of your dreams, Twilight!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit perk up to say this in thinking of a reason for the slot game theme.

“Heh-heh, in any case, what’s here is actually a fun place. And we’re still getting started.” NiGHTS declared off with a little chuckle on the matter at hand of what makes this place just as grand.

Soon the gang came near a spot where it was near the ramp slide, but NiGHTS went down below it as where the Rings were in trailing the Octopaw. At which Twilight was piloting NiGHTS, as they go through Rings, Octopaw was squirting out a few ink clouds to blind them, but it wasn’t stopping them at all. NiGHTS continued to go down more Rings and go near a block building structure, then fired out of a jar cannon to go through even more Rings of what Octopaw made.

“I think we’re getting closer!” Twilight’s spirit issued to say in seeing they were catching up to their target.

“I think I see de critter!” AJ’s spirit issued forth in seeing they are almost near where Octopaw is.

“Remember, we can’t be too close.” NiGHTS reminded the gang about not approaching their target that would squirt out ink.

“Oh, just a bit more…” Pinkie Pie’s spirit spoke off in wanting to reach their goal of Octopaw so badly.

The gang was trailing Octopaw without losing trace of him, and they were going upwards towards were the tall trees are shaped like cubes. NiGHTS collected a large amount of Blue Chips, then go through more Rings and came near a jar cannon that shot the jester through a straight Blue Chip path. They were reaching an area where they started from, but just as they came close to catching Octopaw which frightened him, it made the guy make a big ink squirt and then when it was gone, Octopaw had vanished from thin air.

“Drat, he slip away again!” AJ’s spirit cursed that Octopaw managed to get away from them again.

“No worries, I think this proves something.” NiGHTS stated off to mention this suddenly.

“Proves what?” Twilight’s spirit asked in not following along with the chat.

“That you each pass now, you’ve flown very well.” NiGHTS smiled off to simply say this much to her spirit pony pals’ surprises.

“We did?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked off in what NiGHTS was saying.

“I’m proud to say that now you have truly gotten a handle on flying by magic means. You’ve been able to pick up and move better each time we saw Octopaw and this proves it. Congrats to you all here.” NiGHTS smiled in saying that now the ponies have truly managed to get a good grasp in how to fly in any place, and thanks to Octopaw, they can do well on their own.

At that moment, the background was playing ‘Peaceful Moment’ during this scene as the pony spirits cheered in having done well in their flight course in chasing after Octopaw. And of course, NiGHTS felt so happy that they achieved victory to twirl in a spin and make a pose in showing how happy she was of this moment.

“Well now friends, I think we’re ready to go back to Dream Gate.” NiGHTS stated off in seeing that it’s time that they get ready to head back now.

“Will we see you there?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked in thinking NiGHTS will be at Dream Gate.

“No, but maybe you’ll see me in a bit.” NiGHTS shook off to say this that she won’t be where the rest are going, but they’ll see her soon.

“Wha sorta things?” AJ’s spirit asked off in thinking NiGHTS had some errors or something to do.

“Oh you know, just things to help out. You can trust me on that, right?” NiGHTS shrug off to simply say this stuff in not hiding anything.

“Well NiGHTS, we do. So, maybe we’ll see you in a bit.” Twilight’s spirt nods off to say while acknowledging that they’ll believe in what NiGHTS will do and they’ll see her again real soon.

“It’s a promise my friends. Until then, if you do go off on your own, you’ll know what to do.” NiGHTS insisted with a smile that the gang here will be okay if she’s not around, they have mangled to learn a lot after all.

The pony spirits nod in agreement, even if they aren’t Dualzie with NiGHTS, they have learn to develop handling on their own. With that, NiGHTS was seen flying off to return her friends to the Door to take them back to Dream Gate. At the same moment, the background theme was also reaching its closure here. What sorta new things can happen along the way, we’re not sure. For now, things begin to go blank and fade out at this time, and what happens with NiGHTS & Twilight’s Team…we’ll see it when it comes to it…

At this very moment, within the Realm of Nightmares, we find Reala moving about on his own. Right now, he has finished his little matters in reporting to Wizeman about Cerberus, and that once the Hellhound has recover, will finish the job. Reala managed to get off easy, but the next time, Wizeman may not be so much in a forgiving mood. Soon someone else appeared near him as it was Phantom Psycho Pie who seem to be in a very fine mood at this moment.

“So, you’re still in one piece, I see!” Phantom Pie exclaimed to see that Reala is not destroyed in a strange dark humor remark.

“Yes, and now that my arm is finally alright, it’s time that I track down NiGHTS.” Reala ignored that remark while stating to show his left arm is now all better.

“And then what, try to trap her again.” Phantom Pie shrug off to say in thinking that plan won’t matter much.

“No, Master Wizeman has given me the order that this time….you, shall be aiding me in capturing NiGHTS.” Reala shook his head in stating there will be a different plot to be played out, he’s bringing this evil pony to help him capture NiGHTS.

“Little old me, oh he shouldn’t have been so generous.” Phantom Pie pretended to be all sweeten from hearing she’s been task by the big boss himself.

“Be grateful you can prove that you are not all bark and no bite.” Reala remarked off to say this in which if this new ally fails, his master will not be so forgiving.

“Oh, I don’t bite…much. Except to those I wanna torture.” Phantom Pie smirked off to say this in looking thrilled, in a scary creepy kinda way of looking.

Just then, something came through a hole in space. It was seen to look like a creepy caterpillar-like creature as it and others along with it came up to Reala in wanting to tell him something.

“Oh, and what are these little things?” Phantom Pie asked in seeing the little caterpillar like Nightmarens be here with interest.

“They are called Deworms, they are caterpillar-like Nightmarens that open holes in space.” Reala explained the matter for Phantom Pie to know about such Third-Level Nightmarens. “What do you have to report?” He asked in wanting some answers from these guys.

The Deworms were soon speaking in a fluent language that only Nightmarens could understand. Reala heard much of this while showing a puzzled and concerning face of expression in having heard this.

“I see…” Reala spoke off to say while nodding off in when the debriefing was over.

“What is it? Don’t be keeping secrets from me now, aren’t we now….buddy-buddies now?” Phantom Pie asked off in wanting in on what was just told, she wants to know all the juicy stuff.

“It would seem our Nightmarens failed to take over Delight City to be used in our invasion of Nightopia.” Reala remarked off in dissatisfaction about their latest event gone wrong. “However, that is not the only news.” He spoke off in slowly smiling on something else he heard.

“Hmmm?” Phantom Pie raised an eyebrow in hearing this all of a sudden.

“Right now, Queen Bella has just informed us that NiGHTS has gone over to investigate Memory Forest, where her other group of Visitors vanished.” Reala smiled off to mention that another Nightmaren in-charge of that Nightopia has spotted their target browsing around; searching for Rainbow’s Team of where they vanished too.

“Really….perhaps my patience has finally paid off.” Phantom Pie issued off to say this while a creepy smile creeped up on her face.

“Inform Queen Bella to not engage NiGHTS yet, we shall be the ones to apprehend her.” Reala ordered this message out in what is to be done here, he and Phantom Pie, shall be handling NiGHTS.

The Deworms made some strange sound before they were vanishing away into the darkness of their holes that were hole in the middle of their space. And once they were gone, Reala began to move out again while Phantom Pie began to tag along.

“Remember what I said, I want first dibs when I face NiGHTS.” Phantom Pie playfully spoke in wanting a crack shot in facing down the enemy.

“You will have you chance.” Reala remotely issued to tell the impatient pony this.

“Goody! And don’t worry, you can watch how I’ll handle her…my way!” Phantom Pie smiled to say this in holding her blade up as she smirked deviously at what she’ll do.

“Hmph, have you not notice? When NiGHTS & I fought, what I used was only half my strength.” Reala let off a light chuckle to tell this new ally that when he and NiGHTS fought, he wasn’t fighting at his best for his plan to capture his target.

“Really….you didn’t use the full extent of my gift?” Phantom Pie raised an eyebrow in being curious upon hearing that.

“If NiGHTS survives, then she will have a taste of the power I wield.” Reala issued forth in what shall happen when he and NiGHTS fair off again in battle. “That is….if she doesn’t lose…to you.” Reala made a sly smile in stating that he’ll have his chance, so long as NiGHTS manages to not perish by Phantom Pie here.

“Heh-heh, heheh…..I’ll be intrigue to see if that comes true or not.” Phantom Pie let off an evil chuckle in feeling like whatever the outcome, she’ll wanna know if she’ll beat NiGHTS or if Reala will beat NiGHTS; either way, this is getting interesting.

With that, Reala opens a crimson portal for him and Phantom Pie to step through as they both vanish from sight. Apparently, something else will be going down at this very moment it seems. What sorta events shall play out from here, will NiGHTS and the ponies from Equestria be able to handle it? The mystery deepens for us to uncover more…the next time around…
