Later that day, Starlight and Golden Claw were walking down the halls with their ghostly companion close behind. The specter filly known as Glitter Heart was giggling happily to herself as she flew around the hallways like a little pegasus arial stunt flier. Starlight then spotted one of the new maids she had met a week prior. She was a sweet mare but Starlight hated her after she accidentally replaced her shampoo with hair dye.
With a mischievous grin Starlight whispered something into Glitter Hearts ear. Moments later the ghost filly flew over towards the mare, unaware of the ghost floating nearby. Starlight and Golden Claw watched her with bemused expressions as she flew up to on of the newer maids and greeted her. She was a slender unicorn mare with white fur and charcoal grey mane. She was tending to the plants when she heard a voice from above her.
"Hi! My names Glitter Heart! What's your name?" the ghost filly asked her.
"Oh! I'm Love tap. Are you lost filililieaieeeeeeee! A GHOST!"
The mare screeched dropping a pot of water and fled screaming incoherently as she ran through the halls laughing. Starlight was rolling on the ground gripping her sides as tears ran down her face at the success of her plan.
"That'll teach her to mess with my shampoos!" Starlight choked out in laughter.
Golden Claw sighed shaking his head at the childish manner Starlight handled the situation.
"That was very mean young miss." he said helping her off the floor.
Starlight huffed indignantly. "Well, she shouldn't have messed with my shampoos then! It took me all day to get that horrid green color out!"
As she yelled this a green mare maid happened to be passing by and let out a surprised gasp glaring at her. "Well! I never in my life have been so insulted!" the mare exclaimed.
Starlight realizing what she said tried to stop the mare from storming off, by blocking her path. "Wait!"
"Ah! What? Are you going to insult me more now? hey there green pee? That's a really popular one." the mare sniped at Starlight.
"No I wasn't going to insult you. I didn't mean to in the first place!" Starlight shook her head. "Please, I'm sorry miss. I was being insensitive cause I had a bad hair day once. I don't mind green, you look especially lovely with you green fur."
The mare regarded her carefully, sizing her up. A few moments later she nodded and walked past her without saying a word. Starlight sighed and walked back over to her griffon chaperon and continued to walk down the halls with Glitter Heart snickering at her the whole time.
Glitter Heart floated over to Starlight's ear. "So, green huh?"
"Oh hush you. Come on we have more fun ahead!" she said with renewed vigor, trotting down the hall.
"So who are we pranking next?" Glitter heart asked.
"That depends, can you shape shift?" Starlight asked her.
The phantom filly giggled altering her form to be more like Starlight. The unicorn whistled impressed by the detail the filly achieved in her new form.
"I like it! Now here's what we're going to do." she said stepping near a door to hear a familiar gruff voice inside singing.
She used her magic to unlock the door, something she was surprisingly good at. She slipped into the room as the sounds of a shower cold be heard from beyond another door close by. The room wasn't much bigger than hers. It had a large queen sized bed at the opposite end of the door, a small dresser to the left of it with a clock on it and a large wardrobe on the opposite side.
At the foot of the bed was a large chest with a pile of discarded armor on it and a sword and shield. Starlight snuck over to he closed door, a thick smell of herbal soaps filled her nose reminding her of the time she spent with Button at the spa. She cracked open the door to see inside but was shrouded by a thick cloud of steam.
She looked over to her two companions as they peeked inside as well hearing loud as day a gruff and completely tone deaf voice singing "I will always love you".
Glitter Heart giggled lightly trying not to be heard. "Oh my gosh! This pony has a terrible singing voice? Who is it?'
Starlight grinned evily at the door. This is our next prank victim. We're going to prank ..."
"..."
"...... Thunderclap." Starlight said after a movement of silence rubbing her hooves together with her sick devious grin growing wider.
Golden Claw snuck out of the room while the two ponies, or rather pony and ghost plotted sensing immanent danger in the near future. "This won't end well." he concluded, watching things unfold from outside the room.
