Blind Date

Dear Adagio,
Hey, if you're free today after school, can you meet up with me in the English room? There's something I need to tell you and I'd greatly appreciate it if you came.

Sincerely, Anonymous

You fold the note, and hide it in your pocket before nervously looking over your shoulder to see if anyone saw you writing it. You shift uncomfortably for the rest of the Physics class with Professor Discord. He's saying something about energy waves or something, but you have no clue what the heck he's talking about. Right now, the only thing on your mind is the girl sitting three desks to your right.

Adagio Dazzle.

You'll admit it right now, compared to your friends, you were always lagging a bit behind with when it came to girls; sure, you talk to them, but you're basically the only dude among your friends that has never had a girlfriend before, which always bothered you. You remember the closest you've ever got was at this party once when Berry Punch stumbled over you on a sofa, and licked your neck. But she was drunk. Like immediately puked all over your shirt as soon as she did it drunk. It's a shame too, because you really liked that shirt.

But Adagio...man, she was the real deal. From the day she and her two friends came here, you were instantly under her spell. From her long, beautifully poofy hair to her generously shaped hourglass figure, she stood out even in Canterlot High, which was well known for its beautiful girls. You peek over your desk, and you see that she's paying just as much attention to Professor Discord's lecture as you are. She's looking down her desk, with her phone on her lap texting. You take a good look at Adagio's perfectly shaped legs that her tight magenta tights hugging all the way down to her purple heeled boots. You're so fixated on her that when turn to face your desk, you see Professor Discord right in front of you, looking expectantly at you.

"Well, Anon?" Professor Discord puts his hands across his hips. "Can you give me the answer to the problem on the board?"

"Purple!" You blurt out randomly, your mind still transfixed on Adagio. "It's purple!"

Realizing what you just said, you feel blood rush to your head as you try to slide under your desk to make yourself look smaller. You're expecting the entire class, Adagio included to laugh at you but you instead see Discord looking quite impressed. In fact, everybody around you looks just as amazed over what you just said.

"Aaaaaaaand correct!" He shouts dramatically. "At the current angle, the ray of light while taking gravitational lensing in consideration will be slightly redshifted, thus looking violet to the naked eye. You are correct, Anon."

"Nice one, champ." You feel a tab behind your back, and see your friend Flash Sentry giving you a thumbs up. Looking around the room, you see even Adagio looking at you a little surprised.

'Score!' You think in your head.

You reach into your bag, and take a large gulp of water from your bottle before shaking your head, trying to get back into the lesson. Who knows? Maybe Adagio is one of those girls who really likes smart guys; if you can look smarter it might impress her. The bell rings, and you hear the shuffling of everyone packing up their belongings.

"Homework is problems 14-31 on page 221, and don't forget to study for the test next Wednesday!" Discord calls before packing up his own things and walking out of the room.

You pack up, just in time to see Adagio gracefully striding out of the room, until you yourself leave the classroom.. You notice Sonata Dusk, another one of the new girls still in the room, taking a picture of the whiteboard with her phone. You know Sonata's a good friend of Adagio; in fact, Physics class is the only time you don't see Adagio, Sonata, and Aria Blaze together.

"Hey!" You call out to Sonata before she leaves the room. She turns around, and gives you a warm smile. "Wait up!"

"Oh, hi Anon!" Sonata chirps. "What's up?"

"Can you...give this to Adagio?" You hand her a folded piece of paper apprehensively. "It's important."

"Oooh, what is it?" Sonata says excitingly. "Is it a love letter?"

"W-w-what?" You stammer, trying to laugh it off. "Of course it isn't! It's just something secret that only Adagio can see. Promise not to peek, will you?"

"Gotcha!" Sonata says. "I'll make sure Dagi sees this. Catch ya later!"

You take a deep sigh and wipe the sweat off your forehead. Damn, that went a lot smoother than you thought it would have been. You know if it was Aria you were asking to do this, she'd have just laughed at you while tearing the paper apart in front of you.

As you make your way to the English classroom, you spot Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy at their lockers, whispering and murmuring to each other about something. The only thing you overheard from them was the word 'prank' and with Rainbow Dash being part of it, you know something nasty's about to happen to some poor bastard in the school. You see Fluttershy reaching into her bag, but upon spotting you however, Fluttershy's hand immediately shoots behind her back and the two girls freeze up, like deers caught in a car's headlights.

"You two alright?" You ask suspiciously. "You girls look like you just saw a ghost, or something."

"Oh...heh, didn't see you there, Anon." Rainbow Dash laughs nervously as she fiddles with her fingers. "Nawww, we're just planning a super sweet prank on someone."

"Oh, really?" You lean forward, excited. "So tell me; who's the poor sucker?"

"Sorry, can't risk telling you." Rainbow Dash say cooly. "You could be friends with them; right Fluttershy? Right?" Fluttershy, who's sweating bullets, responds by nodding frantically before hiding her face behind her pink hair.

"Well, none of my business anyways." You shrug. "Good luck getting whoever it is though, Dash!"

"Heh, thanks!" Rainbow Dash chuckles, laughing almost a little too much. "It's gonna be hilarious!"

You eventually make it to the English classroom and just as you predicted, nobody is here. You dim the shades trying to make the lighting look great, and take a breath mint, popping it into your mouth. You then pull out your phone and use the selfie camera to check your hair. Once confident with your looks, you sit on top of a desk and begin waiting for the moment.

"You said this room?" Your head perks up as you instantly recognize Adagio's voice.

"Yup! That's what the note said." Sonata's voice pipes up. "Anyways, see you at the library with Aria!"

The clicking of Adagio's boots gets louder and louder as your heartbeat intensifies. You can feel your cheeks burning up already.

'No...' You think to yourself, shaking you head. 'Come on Anon, pull yourself together. You got this. She's all yours.'

The door opens, and before you, walks in Adagio Dazzle herself. She's looking even more beautiful than before, if that's somehow possible. Naturally, your eyes began trailing downwards, but you you stop at her neck this time, seeing a sinister looking ruby around her neck that gave off a blood red glow.

"Hey, my eyes are up here." Adagio snaps, a slight tone of annoyance in her voice. "So...out with it."

"Oh, sorry about that." You chuckle nervously. "I was just looking at your necklace."

"This?" She says as she looks down, looking suspiciously at it as the glow intensified. Adagio stares at her necklace for a couple of seconds before looking at you with an all knowing grin. "What about it?"

"I've never seen one like that before." You continue the conversation. "I like it."

"Why thank you." Adagio smiles, playing with her hair a little before rubbing her necklace. "It's truly one of a kind."

"It looks great on you." You point our, making Adagio blush slightly. With a newfound surge of confidence, you get off the desk, and walk towards Adagio with long strides that quickly close the distance between you two.

"But anyways...the reason why I wanted to see you..." You say.

"I think I already know~"She says as she leans forward, giving you a sample view of her cleavage. Her necklace's red glow intensifies even more. "But go on..."

"Adagio..." You say slowly, and you watch as her eyes widen. "I-"

You're about to say 'I like you.' but then you realize something quickly changed about Adagio's eyes; they were half-closed, almost seductive for a moment, but now they're wide, and full of fear. You watch in confusion as all of the sudden she quickly dives under a desk, and covers her ears. A weird metallic clanking on a nearby table grabs your attention and you turn around, spotting something that you instantly recognize from video games.

"Shi-"
