Chapter 07: 2nd Match, VS. Donbalon!
The scene opens towards Dream Gate, as everything was still quiet as the last time one was here. Then at that time, the Door to My Dream was slowly opening to which three ponies came out of it from their own paradise spot; Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie. Once they were out, they seem a bit more relax, and felt pretty good about themselves from what can be seen.
“Hoo-Wee, dat there was quite a rowdy-o if we ever had one.” Applejack sighs off to say this in feeling plump tucker out from something they just got finished.
“I’m surprise that the Nightopians were really that grateful, I guess one has to expect that.” Twilight smiled off to say this in what they were doing from the Nightopians they helped rescue.
“I liked it when we had fun playing so many fun games!” Pinkie Pie smiled off to say this stuff out in how many games they all did.
“Ye had us playing so many, I forgot ta count.” Applejack rub the back of her head in forgetting how many games they played with the Nightopians.
“Well never mind that, now that we’re out here, it’s time.” Twilight spoke to say in knowing that with one case done, they can move on to the next one.
“Um, question…does time really pass by slower or quicker when we’re here in this World of Dreams?” Pinkie Pie suddely butted in to ask a question that seem kinda odd to ask at this particular time.
“Where in Sam Hill did dat come from?” Applejack raised her eyebrow in having heard that and was unsure about it herself.
“Just a thought.” Pinkie Pie shrug her shoulders to say this in thought.
“I’m…not hundred percent sure on the answer yet Pinkie Pie.” Twilight slowly responded in feeling like even she doesn’t know how much time passes from the Night Dimension to back in Equestria Prime.
“Fer now, let’s get on moving’ towards our task ahead.” Applejack issued to say this in getting back on the main subject.
“Right, finding the Ideya.” Twilight nods to her friend AJ in knowing what they must do.
“Maybe we’ll be lucky this time around.” Pinkie Pie perk up to say this with a positive smile.
“We can only hope Pinkie Pie, we can only hope. So…let’s go.” Twilight lightly rolled her eyes with a little smile at her friend’s enthusiasm.
“Right, off towards Pure Valley!” Applejack nods off with a determine expression on where to go next.
“Roger-dodger!” Pinkie Pie saluted to hearing that and willing to heed it.
Soon the ponies approach the Door that would lead them towards Pure Valley now. And once they open it, were bask in its bright white light before going in. The scene fades before everything changes to what shall occur now in that Nightopia place….

At this time, the scene opens up towards what looks like Pure Valley, same place and mountain structures, but in a different location. For we focus around a beautiful big river/stream that had clear crystal water. And seen walking across the water’s non-shallow parts were Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie. While NiGHTS was with the ponies, she pretty much was floating while they were moving through. As the jester rested her hands on her hips, she and everyone soon saw some Nightopians splashing around in the water, some even look to be playing ‘Marco Polo’ game, and a few of them were all spinning around while laughing. We see the ponies coming a bit more in inspecting this wonderful sight, Twilight and Pinkie Pie were so absorbed into this, even Applejack, that they came deeper in the water..
“Wow! Everyone sure looks like they’re having a good time.” Pinkie Pie issued off to say in looking pretty happy, all the Nightopians look like they are having a swell time.
“You think so?” NiGHTS asked off from floating behind her friends that were ahead of her. “I don’t think they look nearly as happy as you do.” NiGHTS pointed off in making this statement in seeing the ponies look just has happy to be here as anyone else is.
“Hugh?” Twilight responded puzzle, she look down in seeing that she and her friends got to a deeper part of the river of water and seem about ready to get all wet. “Heh-heh-heh, heh…so we are!” She held the back of her head in feeling silly for not realizing this sooner.
“Wee….splashy-splashy!” Pinkie Pie cheered to splash a little water in having a little fun. “Hey AJ, you seem especially happy, why’s that? Hugh-Hugh?” She was right, while everyone seem to be happy, Applejack seem a bit more, wonder why?
“Who, me…well ah…” Applejack was a bit stump in seeing the attention on her. “It’s ah…the river here made me think about my pa.” Applejack explained the basic case of point of what this brought back for her in a memory.
“Your dad, Applejack?” Twilight asked forth in having been told of this yet again, so this place is special to Applejack after all.
“Yep, before he and my ma left.” Applejack stated to speak off these words here. “I recall…he always used ta take me there, ta a river, when I was a wee filly.” Applejack sympathize her moment as her friends gather around, even NiGHTS floated near from having heard this old wonderful memory of a past.
“Ahhh, he sounds like a great dad to me.” Pinkie Pie sighs in feeling that having been told this makes her feel all good inside.
“Sometimes…seeing a river like this…I can still hear his voice, and recall our memories.” Applejack slowly began to close her eyes as if if she tries really hard, she can almost hear the voice of her father from the time of the past.
“Ha ha ha! Good job, Applejack!” Applejack’s father’s voice is heard laughing purely in complimenting the girl long ago. “That’s my little cow girl. Ha ha ha ha ha!” AJ’s father spoke in praising his child, they all sounded like happy memories to the Apple’s Family member.
Everyone watches in seeing how Applejack was off in her own world, NiGHTS rested her on her hips to look with a calm smile at how happy the pony is…remembering the good times with a father; must be very nice indeed.
“Mwurhurhurhurhurh-Harh-Harh-Harh-Haarrhhh….” Suddenly without warning, a new laughter was heard over AJ’s father’s laughter; only this one sounded extra darker, and more than that…EVERYONE HEARD IT!
“Hugh?” Applejack snap her eyes wide open from what was that strange dark laughter, it wasn’t her father’s laughter from her memory; everyone was on edge, even NiGHTS gasp to look ahead.
Suddenly above everyone, even the Nightopians that gather together in the river, there was a strange dark, red-tainted cloud above. At that same moment, ‘Event - Bad News’ was heard during this moment of a scary situation.
“Wizeman!” NiGHTS silently spoke to say this name with much dislike in recognizing that dark voice and who was seen above with stern eyes.
“Wi-Wizeman?” Twilight yelps to respond to this while she and her friends had looks of fear and concern; somehow hearing the name didn’t seem to sit with them too well.
“Whahahah…..I can’t tell if my old Pinkie Sense is working or not, but I’m sensing whoever this guy is….IS MAJORLY BAD NEWS!” Pinkie Pie felt an old reaction like her Pinkie Sense that hasn’t been triggering much, just felt a small wakeup call from something extremely bad was in their neck of the woods.
“I hate ta ask, but how bad is dat?” Applejack was asking in almost gonna wish she didn’t know the answer.
“Can’t tell, but I’m guessing about…one of the Three Lord rankings!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed to say this with a best guess; much to the other ponies’ horrors. Whoever Wizeman is, if he’s on a level comparison to the Three Lords of Equestria back in the pony’s world, then he’ll be a serious threat that will be hard to handle.
Then without warning, the ground began to shake from a strange and unexpected Earthquake that was happening to shake everything around. The water let off a large gush of water that combine with the shaking, made the ponies yelp off to fall on their flanks in the water from this strange transaction.
“Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, are you three alright?” NiGHTS asked off to turn to her friends that had fallen down, making sure they aren’t hurt.
“Y-Y-Yeah, we’ve…we’re fine.” Twilight responded off to say in trying to get herself up from that little quake stunt.
“Take more than dat ta keep us down.” Applejack replied off to say in being fine as well.
“Wait! What about the Nightopians?” Pinkie Pie asked off in forgetting that they aren’t the only ones that might be in trouble here.
Just then, there were little cries heard, and as everyone look before them, they saw the scared & frighten Nightopians that were in the water…being rush down the river current’s unusual strength. The fast water works made it too hard for the Nightopians to fly out or fight against the strong current with their small bodies.
“Great Horny Toads! They’re being swept down river!” Applejack yelps off to say in seeing the little Nightopians in danger.
“Come on! We’ve got to help them!” NiGHTS issued the matter that they need to help the Nightopians as quickly as possible.
“B-But…the river, it’s too fast!” Twilight pointed out with worry, they can’t catch up when the river was moving so much faster than they are. “Even if we Dualize, I’m not sure if that would be enough!” She was right about that, the river make it hard for them even if they used Drill Dash to catch up.
“Well, then we’ll just have to use that to our advantage, then won’t we?” NiGHTS look to Twilight and her friends, stating calmly in how
“Hugh? What do you mean by that?” Twilight asked off puzzled as neither she nor her pony friends knew what NiGHTS was going on about.
NiGHTS didn’t say anything, she just held up her right hand and made a thumbs’ up gesture with a smile; stating to not be worry, it’ll be alright sign. Then the jester did something amazing, she leaps up into the air to leave a magical star dust trail before twirling around and…extending her limbs. As her front landed on the water, her body stretch wide and became larger, usual uniform color became red, arms stretch to become crescent pole rods, her feet shrink behind to stick upwards, and her head look like grown bigger than usual; in short…she turn into a boat form. This action caught the ponies by surprise, they were even more surprise to see a spot where they could ride in with NiGHTS.
“Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle.” Applejack replied off in being shock to see this feat here.
“Don’t you mean aunt?” Pinkie Pie randomly pointed out this correction here.
“I was speaking rhetorically.” Applejack rolled her eyes to state the claim of her meaning then by gender view, etc.
“NiGHTS…how did you…?” Twilight was about to ask a question, but…
“Get aboard, quickly! Explanations later!” NiGHTS instructed her friends to save the questions for after they get aboard her boat form.
Deciding that maybe they could talk later, the ponies got in their friend before they felt NiGHTS start herself to dash across the rapid river. At the same time, the background was playing ‘Eloquent Echo’ right now for the theme. At the sudden moment, Owl was seen flying nearby before he had to suddenly fly near those he recognize…including NiGHTS’s boast form appearance.
“Hoo, oh my…NiGHTS, is that you?” Owl yelps in having just recognize NiGHTS evening a boat form while going down the river.
“Yes, & right now, we’re about to go on for a rapid ride to save some Nightopians caught in this!” NiGHTS responded forth to quickly explain things as they stood.
At that spoken, the gang NiGHTS went over a small river dive while collecting Blue Chips and held on tight for tight turns to avoid the rocks and from crashing into them.
“WILL SOME PONY TELL US WHAT’S GOING ON!?” Twilight yelled out during the whole craziness to want some answers. “How was it NiGHTS transformed into…a…a…a boat?” She was completely lost, how did NiGHTS perform something like this.
“Didn’t you know, NiGHTS has a unique ability of transformation,” Owl spoke forth in flying nearby to explain the case quite simply.
“Well dat there is nice, but how do we steer her?” Applejack called out to say this while they are holding on tight for the wild water ride.
“Oh yes, right. Getting to that.” Owl nods off to say in seeing he needs to quickly wrap this up a bit. “What you’re in is what can be called….Boat NiGHTS as it’s a boat transformation for NiGHTS. With it, you can go down the river and save the Nightopians who are caught in the river!” Owl explained how with NiGHTS as a boat, one can use it to help one steer even in fast current rapids, sorta like catching a quicker flow of things to follow the river’s path.
“So it’s like rapid boat rides. I think I know how to deal with this, everyone follow my lead!” Pinkie Pie issued forth in having understood what they must do and shall aid in the case.
Suddenly, Pinkie Pie was playing the captain of the boat and then was helping to steer NiGHTS as she was a boat. And at that same time, the gang was seeing a few Nightopians in the water, and soon they were piloting Boat NiGHTS near them and help pull them up. The Nightopians saved cheered for relief as they were scared there for a minute.
“That’s two down.” Twilight stated in seeing how many they got so far.
“There’s more over yonder!” Applejack spoke off in seeing more Nightopians on the other side of the river they are traveling on.
“Aye-aye Skipper!” Pinkie Pie saluted to say this off before doing a double check. “Wait, isn’t the Skipper sailor talk for captain? Oh, I knew I should have pay more attention in how to talk sailor!” She was lost in her sailor talk in not knowing which correct phase was meant to be.
Deciding that their random friend should save it, AJ took control to steer Boat NiGHTS round a curve point in the river while dodging a mountain impact, and the gang managed to scoop up another Nightopian. And then when they fix themselves, steer the boat to grab another Nightopian afar closer to the right than the left side and then quickly got another. Cause now AJ was making sharp turns to avoid a rocky river path while everyone held on while trying to be watchful of anymore Nightopians.
“Good work, but get ready for the surprises.” NiGHTS spoke off to tell her friends this news.
“Oh, what kinda surprises?” Pinkie Pie asked off in liking surprises, to bad she was clueless of this not being that kind happy surprise to see.
Then the answer came when Boat NiGHTS went down another river rapid, AJ steer the boat to avoid more rocks while they seem to be going upwards up the mountain. Twilight found this to not make sense since rivers flow down, not go up and down like this, but in a world of dreams…anything’s possible. And right now, they soon find more Nightopians along the path to put them in their boat. But one close encounter with a rock caused Boat NiGHTS to destroy it while shaking everyone onboard, ponies and Nightopians.
“Everyone, remain calm, please.” Twilight tries to calm the worried and scared Nightopians. “We have to really watch out for those rocks.” She stated off in seeing what they best look out for next time.
“I’m trying, but we can’t help speed up de rescue an’ not slow down at de same time.” Applejack stated to say that slowing down ain’t an option at this point of rushing.
“Here’s some more Blue Chips we can collect.” Pinkie Pie spoke off as they sail through to collect some Blue Chips to help them out. “Oh, and one more Nightopian to the fold!” As she said this, she pick up another Nightopian to be added with their rescue.
At the moment, Owl is again seen flapping his wings in having caught up with the gang.
“Hoo, I don’t suppose there’s room for me, is there?” Owl asked in having flown far to try to catch up and hopes he can rest with the gang, but…
“Sorry Owl, it’ll get really tight rescuing the rest of the Nightopians.” NiGHTS replied off that they need more room for the rescuing of Nightopians.
“I see…but never mind that, I’m here to tell you something.” Owl sighs to say this before shrugging off his own grief with bigger importance. “You’ll need to jump off the Jump Platform up ahead in order to leap extra high!” Owl explained what was gonna happen soon, the gang need to prepare to jump over something approaching them.
Having heard that, Boat NiGHTS made a turn going up a river rapid to dodge a large boulder, but there were three Nightopians in the direction and it look like they would be miss.
“GRAB ME!” Pinkie Pie yelled out in preparing to do a daring thing to rescue and leave no Nightopian behind….BY JUMPING OUT OF THE BOAT!
And then Twilight & Applejack yelped as they soon made a pony chain and help rescue the three Nightopians. And slowly as they pulled themselves back in with AJ’s bit of strength, they couldn’t relax cause they not only rescue another Nightopian, but Boat NiGHTS went over a wooden jump platform as they were about to fall down a steep waterfall.
“Waaaaahhhh!” The ponies and the Nightopians made some ‘wahhh’ scream noises as if experience a waterfall park theme ride.
Soon Boat NiGHTS landed on the water,and as everyone was recovering, the ended up with no pilot before they felt rocks hitting their transformed friend.
“Hang on, I got this!” NiGHTS stated as she steer herself away from the rocks while Pinkie Pie grab a nearby Nightopian in the water.
Soon the gang was going in a straight away, collected Blue Chips to help them out, rode with the splashy rapids, trying to see pass the extra watery wave stuff while accidentally getting another Nightopian that was thrown in the air; lucky thing, hugh? And soon they reach another part of the river where there were rocky pillars holding up land-bridges and there were tight squeeze spots. But as there were waterfalls from above, trouble began to appear when Nightmarens, the Seapos, started to show up and tried to attack.
“Great, Nightmarens.” Applejack rolled her eyes in seeing their situation got more complicated.
“Don’t bother with them, the Nightopians aren’t your bigger concern! Hoo!” Owl flew nearby in explaining that they need to focus on other things than fighting.
“I’ll handle this one…” Twilight took the controls of their transformed jester in how to handle through this.
Soon with Twilight’s brain power, she had Boat NiGHTS dodge the Seapos that almost attack them, and tried to get around to help find and rescue more Nightopians. As Boat NiGHTS was driving by on the calm river, the gang saw more Seapos & Shleeps coming out to tackle them, but they managed to avert them and get around to still rescuing other Nightopians. Twilight was making some sharp turns around some river corners, all while dodging more Seapos & Shleeps along the way and AJ & Pinkie Pie focus to grab any Nightopians as they could, just before they went over another Jump Platform near a wooden bridge and had to land and avert more rocks; there’s just no rest break here.
“More enemies on the port bowl captain Twilight! And then some on the starboard side too!” Pinkie Pie alerted Twilight as they watch out for any surprise pop outs of Seapos & Shleeps.
“Pinkie, ye can just say left or right ta make it easier.” Applejack stated to say as they kept rescuing more Nightopians along the way.
“Well gang, get ready…we’re going up!” NiGHTS issued to tell her friends this in what’s gonna happen next.
Soon Boat NiGHTS was going up another pathway were the river flowed up instead of going down.
“Hoo…oh…you’re really giving me a workout.” Owl is seen looking a bit tired out from exhausting himself in trying to catch up.
“Owl, what’s wrong?” Twilight asked in seeing something was wrong.
“You may want to cut back on your speed up ahead. I’m just saying.” Owl spoke to give this advice before he had to pull back from exerting himself.
And no sooner afterwards, did Boat NiGHTS went off another hill over a distance before the gang landed back on the water while trying to maintain control. Especially when they are coming near a sharp curve turn again, another with water mist going over a branch and watching out for Shleeps again. The gang just barely managed to get by while still rescuing any Nightopians they came across. But sometimes, they can’t all clear away from bashing into rocks from time to time.
“Woah, easy now, no pushing!” Pinkie Pie yelps as when they got hit, many of the rescued Nightopians were moving too much to rock their boat a bit.
“Calm down, will yah? It’ll make things worse!” Applejack spoke to calm the little critters that were a bit worried.
As Twilight continues to pilot Boat NiGHTS in going pass more river curves and picking up more Nightopians, they are soon greeted to go through some volcanic area from steaming geysers. It was very tricky, Twilight inform everyone that they have to use their weight to make good on their turns, and so they started doing that. They were making it across the volcanic mountain’s river path, like a crazy roller-coaster ride, just before they help secure more Nightopians and then go straight on down a path. Many were screaming from plunging straight down before they finally made it all the way to calmer waters and were near a familiar part of Pure Valley with Windmills & a hot-air balloon.
“You did it!” Owl spoke to arrive at the spot in seeing what the gang has done.
“We did?” The ponies responded to say this in wondering if that’s true.
“Yes, you made it through and with all the Nightopians intact.” Owl gave raise to the gang for doing an excellent job, it was close, but they made it through.
Then as if on cue, ‘Peaceful Moment’ was heard playing in the background. The ponies were cheering along with the Nightopians that were happy to be rescued. And even Boat NiGHTS was responding to the happiness to be bouncing up and down that was giving everyone a good shake-up ride. The Nightopians giggled at liking this, even Pinkie Pie laugh at how fun this was, AJ & Twilight just held on tight to not be thrown off.
“Woah, easy there partner!” Applejack yelps in feeling how rowdy NiGHTS was getting with them still aboard.
“Sorry, just felt so glad the Nightopians were safe.” NiGHTS replied off to say this in just feeling excited was all.
“Well I’m just glad we managed to make it out of there in one piece.” Twilight sighs to say in knowing how close that was for them all.
“But on the bright side, what a wild ride, right?” Pinkie Pie smiled off to say this over the matter of what happened.
“I’m beginning to wonder how you can imagine something like that as a wild ride to enjoy.” Owl raised his eyebrows in having heard the pink pony even say such a suggestion.
“Trust us, she’s just Pinkie Pie.” Applejack pointed out that their friend was being her usual random self.
“Well now, what say we get you all back to Dream Gate then, shall we?” NiGHTS spoke to say this in piloting herself near the shore to allow the Nightopians to get off.
Soon after the Nightopians were on land, they said their thanks and farewells while NiGHTS Dualize with the ponies to take them up into the sky. Owl watch them leave before also vanishing from sight as well as the scene begins to darken soon afterwards with this tricky stage now finished.

And just like before, we see Twilight, Pinkie Pie & Applejack are gently falling across the starry night skies. And soon they land right outside Dream Gate from touching the ground. NiGHTS ended their Dualize mode after their return as the ponies sigh from knowing what a rush they had. Saving Nightopians from a river rush event is no easy picnic, that’s for sure, but it was worth helping out those in need.
“Boy, dat there was some russle up.” Applejack sigh to say this in what they been through just now.
“Yeah, and it seem really crazy too.” Pinkie Pie nods off to say this in what they also went through too.
“Pinkie Pie, can I ask you something?” Twilight asked to say something to her pink friend.
“Sure Twilight, what is it?” Pinkie Pie nods off to await a question here.
“That voice we heard, the one that made NiGHTS seem to…tense up.” Twilight slowly was asking in feeling concern over that dark and very…evil voice that seem to give them shivers.
“De one she called Wizeman?” Applejack narrow her stern eyes in feeling serious of who they are discussing here.
“It’s weird, my Pinkie Sense is a little dis-shovel while we’re here, but something about that guy really sent my alert notice up high.” Pinkie Pie spoke in being uncertain, she can’t sense danger so well while they are here, but when Wizeman showed up; BOOM, it felt like a really dangerous foe was near.
“To the point where he is extremely dangerous.” Twilight stated in feeling that her thought about Wizeman shows he’s someone to be wary of, especially if he rivals the Three Lords of Equestria.
“Sounds like we’re in a jam, an’ we’re at a major disadvantage ta boot. Can we even do much if we face him?” Applejack spoke in feeling doubtful that since they are Dream Spirits, they are limited of what they had back in Equestria Prime.
“I’m not sure, all we can do is try to find the other four Ideya and hope they can help out.” Twilight shook her head in feeling there is nothing to do but find and gather all five Ideya and pray that will help them out.
“Just like Owl said that if we have them, we can win over the Nightmare.” Pinkie Pie smiled in recalling what Owl told them and it may be helpful to them.
“Sounds like our best option, so let’s get going then.” Applejack issued off to nod in agreeing to that term of logic.
“So far, we’ve search Pure Valley, but we have yet to locate the Ideya in question.” Twilight spoke in pondering that they have yet to find any of the four Ideya they need.
“Maybe we’ll find it this time. Just gotta think positive.” Pinkie spoke forth in being the most positive of the bunch.
Applejack & Twilight smiled at their pink friend’s optimistic personality that seems to not be taken down into despair. After feeling that their firm decision was made, the ponies soon went up to the Door leading back towards Pure Valley. Once they open it, they were shine out by the bright white light before going in. They’ll just have to continue to do their best and hope that this time…they find one of the hidden Ideya. And with that, everything goes dark at this time…

Soon the scene opens back in Pure Valley as it appears that all is well. And soon entering the scene was NiGHTS who had already Dualize with the ponies to where we see their spirit forms mimicking the jester. Right now, Applejack was in control while Twilight & Pinkie Pie were watching from behind AJ. As they were observing the area, there was something unusual that seem to be going off….the sounds of a bouncy ball is heard. This made NiGHTS and the others look around
“N…NiGHTS…? I think something’s coming.” Twilight’s spirit spoke worried in hearing something begin to approach them, enough that NiGHTS felt a slight bit tense in knowing what the pony meant.
“Hmm…I’ll bet I know what it is.” NiGHTS issued off to calm her friend in knowing that she knows what’s coming.
“Wait, you do?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit raised an eyebrow in having heard that NiGHTS knows who’s coming at them.
“Yes, and I think we’re about to see what’s behind all the trouble here.” NiGHTS responded off to say while she turn her head in the direction the spirit ponies followed; for it’s that way that whoever is causing problems is gonna show up from.
“Dat’s fine an all, but who is it?” Applejack’s spirit asked off in not knowing who it was that’s coming.
At that very moment, something from within the shadows taking on a ball form was seemingly bouncing along to reach NiGHTS & company from behind. Of course as it was approaching, NiGHTS seem to sense where it was coming from to quickly act out.
“Let’s go, Twilight! AJ! Pinkie Pie!” NiGHTS turn around with serious focus eyes in knowing that it’s time she and her Dualized friends prepare to face what’s coming at them.
“Right…” The pony spirits responded in deciding to go with it, whatever comes at them, they have got to be ready.
Then suddenly without warning, the entire background began to fade into a strange swirling void. And then just like before, NiGHTS and company are being warp teleported to another place….for a battle to commence with this enemy of Pure Valley.

Then at this time, everyone was seemingly warped into a familiar mountainous amount of room. What was even scarier was when the music was playing ‘Drifting Donbalon: Hard Version’ during this places appearance. The same circus-themed pinball-like tower, consists of several areas separated by stylish barriers & has a monstrous face with long, spiked teeth at the top. Everything was the same, a lair that runs vertical, shown there are many different obstacles scattered around. But the newest feat was seeing moving tents from left to right on top and bottom to make it more trickier along with a longer reach to get to the top. Still, the place was the some upside-down world and its new nightmarish horrified appearance seem to make things far harder to handle. Just below at the bottom, NiGHTS & the spirit forms of Twilight, AJ & Pinkie Pie gaze at where they are now and notice a more difference to the place.
But that was still just the opening action for the red curtain near them parted and they all saw a familiar Nightmaren entered for his grand second appearance: Donbalon. He was spinning around and around before he stop himself to look down at his targets from last time while letting off an evil cackle as if happy to see them again.
“Holy-Cupcakes! It’s Donbalon!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit yelps in seeing who was now back again.
“Great, not this varmint again.” Applejack’s spirit rolled her eyes in seeing this old foe was back again.
“I thought we saw the last of him.” Twilight’s spirit questioned in thinking how they beat this guy last time.
“Not quite, told you he was down but not out. And it looks like we’ll have to settle this fight once and for all.” NiGHTS shook her head in explaining the facts that Donbalon was not out of the game yet.
“No problem, we know how to beat him. Just bonk him to go up and up until he reaches the top, right?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit smiled to say that they know how to handle this enemy.
“True…Course this time, the area in question looks a bit more harder than last time.” NiGHTS stated to say in skimming at the tower, its way different than before, might be more trickier than last time they were here.
“NiGHTS is right, the area looks like its further ahead and looks a bit more complicated than last time.” Twilight’s spirit nods in agreement, this won’t go like last time they fought Donbalon.
“Then we’ll just deal with it after knocking this varmint out once an’ fer all!” Applejack’s spirit spoke forth in just getting her spirit all raring to go here.
“Everyone remember, we need to use the Touch-dash to launch Donbalon to the top of the tower!” NiGHTS explained the case as her friends nod in understanding what they gotta do. “Ready…let’s go!” She gave the order for them to quickly get going now.
With the matter settle, NiGHTS was moved by AJ to move it as Donbalon was rolling down towards them. Lucky thing the jester bop the big balloon guy as he yelps while he smashed through the first gate to open the path. Soon NiGHTS dove upwards and went through some green Rings to help the jester out, as Donbalon was recovering what hit him before a sneak attack knock him further upwards, but he still gave that evil laugh.
“Does he always laugh even when being hit?” Twilight’s spirit asked off in seeing how Donbalon acts every time.
“Trust me, it gets old, I know.” NiGHTS rolled her eyes in knowing the continuous laughter can get old sometimes.
“I like to laugh all the time, but not in an evil way.” Pinkie Pie’s spirit pointed out in what she like but would dislike.
“Then let’s bop his big inflated body straight on upwards!” Applejack’s spirit spoke off in assisting in what they do next.
Then Applejack had NiGHTS ram against Donbalon to have him smash through a red energize cube. As they were only halfway to the next gate, Donbalon laughs off evilly while he seem about ready to fall down towards them. NiGHT had to perform a Drill Dash move to help knock the big balloon Nightmaren further upwards. Then NiGHTS had to knock him again which sent Donbalon pass another red energize cube to be temporally stuck and for the jester unable to break through.
“Hey! How come we can’t break these things?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit questioned off in seeing what just happened right now.
“Donbalon’s big body must be able to, NiGHTS too small to do that.” Twilight’s spirit explained that their enemy is basically blotted so he can shatter those glass-base cubes to clear them a path.
“But at least he can’t break through an’ just be stuck instead.” Applejack’s spirit pointed out in noticing something else that could be useful to know.
“Come on, we have to keep pushing him further up.” NiGHTS issued this to her friends in what they need to be doing.
Taking a moment, NiGHTS soon charge up when Donbalon was expose and made the evil clown yelp to be bop further upwards and crash against the second gate. As AJ was having NiGHTS do a Drill Dash move, an unexpected event happen that Donbalon spin on his head to avoid contact and whack his hands against the jester, they were dazed before getting their senses back.
“Hey! That wasn’t nice!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit snapped off in feeling like that was just being mean.
“He’s evil, wha’cha expect?” Applejack’s spirit rolled her eyes in reminding her friend they are up against a Nightmaren.
“I’ll show him!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit snapped off to say this in not taking this lying down.
Soon Pinkie Pie took control of NiGHTS, and when it look like Donbalon almost had NiGHTS, the jester circle around, grab the Nightmaren to spin and toss him further upwards. Donbalon yelps before he crashed against another red energize cube and was spinning before he hit a diamond edge board that bounce him further upwards while still letting off an evil laughter.
“Come on girls, you don’t wanna let the laughing Nightmaren get away, do you?” NiGHTS spoke in trying to boost some morale for those with her to keep going.
“No way!” Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie’s spirits all responded in answering that question with their resolve.
Soon NiGHTS was flying further upwards to reach the evil Nightmaren before he would fall down towards them. They knock the target up, but miss hitting the gate, and when the jester turn to hit Donbalon on the right side, it sent him further to the left while missing the gate. NiGHTS was charging to get the guy, but Donbalon managed to land a belly hit that temporarily stun NiGHTS while he bounce off the left side of the wall.
“We have to watch it, he’s playing for real keeps now.” NiGHTS warns her friends in seeing that this time, Donbalon doesn’t wanna go down like last time.
“Then let me take over, I think I can help get him up this next part.” Twilight’s spirit insisted that she has a plan to help out.
“Ten-four Twilight!” Applejack’s spirit responded off that they are ready for their smart friend to take control here.
“Wait, is it four minutes pass ten?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked a random question which the other ponies just choose to ignore.
Soon Twilight took control of NiGHTS to grab Donbalon before spinning him around and around before sending him further upwards. Finally from the tricky steps of trying to corner this guy, the gang got him near the gate before bopping him to crash through. Now the next area they meet is one with some energize cubes, not red, mostly blue and green.
“Wha is with this place?” Applejack’s spirit asked off in seeing this was something out of the ordinary.
“I told you, this stage is much more harder than last we fought.” NiGHTS explained to the ponies that last time they fought Donbalon, things were a bit more easier compared to now.
“Can we still smash him through?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked a simple question about the topic itself.
“We’ll have to find out now.” Twilight’s spirit issued to say in knowing what comes next for them.
Twilight was controlling NiGHTS in thinking they best be careful, this new area seems unusual and they are not familiar with its rules. The gang quickly go afterwards to tackle Donbalon who yelped from being hit, and soon smashed against a different energize cube. With that pretty much cleared up, the gang has NiGHTS charge fourth to get the laughing Donbalon that was bouncing off the walls, literally.
“We need to get him that will be most helpful to us.” Twilight’s spirit stated in thinking up a plan to get their target who was bouncing around.
“Here’s an idea, how about using your different perspectives to aid me out?” NiGHTS waved out her hand in making a suggestion that sounded about right.
“Hey, we can do that!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit perk up to say in liking what she heard.
“Sure thing, let’s do it!” Applejack’s spirit replied off in thinking that sounded about good enough.
Working together, the ponies split in taking turns to have NiGHTS go up more to tackle and bop Donbalon up more. They used a plan in which they first tackle the giant balloon freak, sent him to crash against another energize cube to fall back, then grab him with NiGHTS strength to spin and toss him again. It worked as while Donbalon was laughing evilly, he did not notice how close he was to another gate and was about to drop towards the gang…but they beat him to it. Pinkie Pie took control, had NiGHTS grab Donbalon before spinning to toss him straight up and crash another gate. But it looks like the next area has MOVING energize block cubes left to right, making going up difficult.
“Uh oh! This one looks kinda tricky!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit spoke off in noticing how more complicated this situation has gotten for them.
“No doubt, never saw this last time.” Applejack’s spirit shook her head in knowing they never came across moving blockage stuff.
“Like I said, this place will be harder than the first time we fought Donbalon.” NiGHTS shrug off to once again, remind her friends of how this second fight against Donbalon, will be harder.
“Then I’ll help in guiding our path, so just let me handle this.” Twilight’s spirit issued to say that using her brain power, she can coordinate where and how to bypass such things.
Having settle the issue, Twilight had to coordinate the path for them to guide NiGHTS through. Donbalon’s evil laughter is heard while he was a bit further up, but the gang managed to maneuver through the spots and avoid getting crushed to reach the target when he was starting to drop. Then after grabbing the Nightmaren, NiGHTS spin as much as she could before sending the yelping guy off above to almost be near another gate, but miss slightly.
“Ugh, we’re starting to feel slightly exhausted from coming up and passing the challenges.” Twilight’s spirit groans to seeing that they have climb so very far, but from this much plus fighting & getting a bit injured, has started taken its toll.
“Then which of you wants to take over for Twilight?” NiGHTS asked to think maybe some short rest for one spirit pony in her will help them recover quicker.
“I’ll handle this partner, step aside!” Applejack’s spirit spoke to have Twilight’s spirit let her take control now.
Applejack was controlling NiGHTS as they flew up after the evil laughing foe that was just behind another energize cube. NiGHTS flew up to go below Donbalon to grab him, and then spin him around before tossing him straight up to crash through the fourth gate. As Donbalon yelps from the impact, NiGHTS and friends followed to find themselves in another strange area, this time with strange energize cubes that when the Nightmaren hit them…they did not break.
“OH COME ON! WE JUST BEEN OVER WHO CAN BREAK THOSE THINGS!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit yelled out to complain in seeing what sorta cheap deal they got to deal with.
“That must make getting him up higher more difficult.” Twilight’s spirit stated from thinking that such a complication would make beating Donbalon even harder.
“Any ideas gang?” Applejack’s spirit looked to her friends in hoping for some useful aid about now.
“Learn fast and quickly, cause while we can’t make a straight path, Donbalon won’t fall very fast if we knock him above those things.” NiGHTS stated with an explanation in which the ponies could agree on to take into effect.
Figuring that this was a different working field, the gang would have to improvise in continuing to go further up. Then from Pinkie Pie’s control on NiGHTS, the jester bops Donbalon away from the unbreakable cubes of energy, went across the left side before grabbing and spin the laughing guy away. During which in a random action probably from Pinkie Pie’s unknowing coordination, Donbalon was seen bouncing off the wall to go further up which the Nightmaren crashed to destroy an actual breakable cube which force him to travel and then break right into the fifth gate ahead. Many were completely astounded that Pinkie Pie managed to help get their foe that high up so easily.
“Pinkie…once again, I’m speechless by what you can do.” Twilight’s spirit responded in being caught off guard by the unusual random action of her pink friend.
“Thanks, glad I could help.” Pinkie Pie’s spirit smiled off to say in taking that as a compliment.
“Then I better take over an’ help round this here varmint up fer de big finish.” Applejack’s spirit declared in knowing they gotta act fast now.
Taking the chance, Applejack was flying in control of NiGHTS and flew up to catch up to Donbalon who was being bop in the area by what look like cage carts moving across from left and right in a level pattern. No mistakes about it, this one will be tricky cause only one opening shows up to go further. And then it’ll almost be a straight away towards the final spot to defeat this guy.
“Looks like we made it, just pass that gate is where we need to knock Donbalon into!” NiGHTS pointed up in seeing they are nearly there to winning this battle here.
“What about those moving animal cages?” Pinkie Pie’s spirit asked in seeing the moving cage carts are crossing their path to make it hard to move.
“They seem to have only one small opening when they pass and then return in a cycle.” Twilight’s spirit stated in seeing that it’s like picturing this pinball tower with a circle cart track that goes in the same path; with one being the end and beginning.
“Then we best find dat open spot an’ use it, pronto!” Applejack’s spirit issued to say this in knowing they gotta act quick if they wanna make it through.
After first finding Donbalon, NiGHTS quickly bop him upwards even if a cage cart was coming across the way. But then NiGHTS quickly went after to grab Donbalon before preparing to spin the guy around and toss him right through an opening reach happen right….now! But while getting into a spot between two moving cage carts, the evil laughter of Donbalon was not giving up that when the others approach, he whack them with his belly to stun them while slowly going down.
“Come on girls, don’t give in yet!” NiGHTS encourage her pony spirit friends whole shook off what hit them to get some determination going.
“Right!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit responded in getting serious about now.
“We hear ye.” Applejack’s spirit responded to say in what they heard.
“Let’s do this…together!” Twilight’s spirit declared in now being the time to work together here.
Quickly and surely, AJ had to quicken NiGHTS to reach Donbalon before he exit the cage cart they got through. And as Pinkie Pie had NiGHTS grab him to prepare to toss him, Twilight instead aim him in a position where the next cage cart that came….knock the guy upwards which made him yelp. But in a surprising twist, he went through the last cage cart moving through, getting him directly near the final gate.
“Noooowww….” The pony spirits inside NiGHTS gave the signal to deal the final blow to their enemy.
NiGHTS soon did a Drill Dash move to get up to the laughing Nightmaren before he yelps from both smashing through the final gate and where there was the beast head’s sharp set of teeth. At that same moment, the background was playing ‘Peaceful Moment’ during what was happening. As Donbalon was seen rotating uncontrollably within the Demonic head’s sharp field of teeth, and once in the center, look to about fall down towards the gang but… It imploded into a large red light like a balloon popping and its remains scatter to the winds; NiGHTS & friends have now finally & truly defeated Donbalon!
“Did…did it work?” Twilight’s spirit slowly asked in feeling like this was almost a dream, which technically still is, but still…did they win.
“Yep, we gone an’ POP dat Nightmaren’s balloon real good!” Applejack’s spirit smile doff to say this in seeing they have beaten Donbalon.
“And with that, we’ll soon be free from this place too.” NiGHTS smiled off to mention this to the group.
“Yippy! We Won!” Pinkie Pie’s spirit cheered happily in having been told of this.
In response to their win, NiGHTS was soon flying around in making many golden trail star dust as if showing how happy she and her friends have done, they won the day. And soon the nightmarish world they were in began to fade away before it covered their sights and soon everything went blank.

The scene suddenly opens to where it was a place different from the nightmarish realm, but different from Dream Gate and the Nightopia place. Here, it was a beautiful, pearly abyss that was more in theme of being…peaceful. But there was more to this place then just that, for hanging above that was glowing brightly, was a large white orb. And within the orb look like a shining star with the center as it seem to radiate a flow of magic that was seemingly elegant, so pure… And soon it reach Twilight, Applejack & Pinkie Pie that were there by themselves and were not Dualize with NiGHTS; but as they reach for the large orb…they began to feel strangely good about themselves and felt….something familiar coming from this thing.
“So…pretty.” Pinkie Pie slowly spoke in awing what was before them.
“Twilight…what is this?” Applejack slowly ask her smart friend in what it was they are seeing here, could it be…?
“This white light…” Twilight slowly spoke off in having seen what this object was to her and her friends. “It’s the White Ideya.” She exclaimed in recognizing what this orb was supposed to be while being the first time they are seeing it.
“It’s just like Owl said, the white one is supposed to be….um…?” Pinkie Pie was thinking back that if the Red Ideya was Courage, the white one was…
“Purity I believe he said.” Applejack finished her friend’s sentence in recalling that the White Ideya was meant for Purity, pure and simple.
“So then…this is the purity that was missing from our hearts.” Twilight ponder the thought, that from this thing, something that was missing from them…has been recovered; she’s lost for words now.
“Dat’s not all, I think I feel…a small amount of our six Elements of Harmony here as well.” Applejack spoke in feeling like somehow, their old elements that they represent, just small traces….they can feel more of them inside the White Ideya.
“This is great! Now we got two Ideya, only three more to go!” Pinkie Pie smiled in knowing that they are only just three more Ideya away from having all five.
“You’re right Pinkie Pie, and now this is our first step…to helping to get home again.” Twilight smiles to nod in agreeing with her friend, with this, they will help find a way to get back home to their world and to their physical bodies.
Soon the White Ideya split into three identical sphere shapes before slowly merging with the ponies. Twilight, Applejack, & Pinkie Pie felt what was absorbing into them, their purity, it felt strange, but felt…so warm to them. Afterwards, the scene began to fade out in whiteness at the time, for what happens with them next time….we’ll learn soon enough…

Meanwhile, as things with Twilight’s Team seem to have progress in securing their first Ideya, the scene changes to what is currently happening elsewhere. The realm was of a dark nature of all things to feel like a nightmare world. Below look like the Dark Ocean, further around were dark/purple clouds across the skies, even floating palace pillars in upside-down ‘U’ shapes are present; as if we have enter a dominion of one who holds power over all. And we would be right, because the one hovering in the center was the master & ruler of Nightmare; Wizeman. He stood there, no emotions to express, but before him was the floating Donbalon who seem to have appeared after his failure again NiGHTS & Twilight, AJ & Pinkie Pie.
“I see.” Wizeman spoke in which his large metallic hand move towards Donbalon with the eye focus on the Nightmaren. “So Donbalon has fallen.” Wizeman darkly exclaimed in where his hand floated near Donbalon where it’s eye watch the Nightmaren that seem to be flailing a bit and seem unable to speak.
And presently before Wizeman, Reala was kneeling down with one hand on his right knee to be present like any jester would for a ruler. As he was just before his master, in watching what was currently going on from learning of a Second-Level Nightmaren has been defeated. Donbalon seem to be flailing about still while Wizeman’s hand circle to watch the Nightmaren before….it soon grasped him. Then from that sudden grasping, Donbalon was reduce to glowing red particles as he was crushed by his own creator without mercy…all from failing. Reala tilted his head upwards in having seen his master show his fury to those that fail him, before looking back down to the ground to not do anything to become the next focus of Wizeman’s rage.
“Please, master. Give me one more chance to reclaim my honor.” Reala humbly pleaded to Wizeman in being a devoted servant in asking for another chance to be of use.
“And how do you propose to do this, Reala?” Wizeman asked in where he stood still, but his giant metallic hand focus on Reala where it’s eye watch to see what the Nightmaren would do to achieve such a thing.
“Leave it to me, Master Wizeman.” Reala slowly raised himself up to look at his master while humbly stating that Wizeman leave everything to him. “I have the perfect plan.” He declared in saying he has a pan that is perfect to be used that will aid then.
“Very well. But do not fail me again.” Wizeman speaks in allowing this, but warns Reala of failure to him while his floating metallic hand watches to see if the Nightmaren will deliver as promise.
“Yes, my master!” Reala then bows down his head in taking his master’s words without questioning them. “I shall strike when the time is right…” He whispered this to say in what he’ll do, when the time comes to put his plan into action.
With that, everything begins to fade out at this point. An evil hand is about to be played, for whatever shall happen…NiGHTS and friends will have to deal with it. As for the rest, we’ll have to wait and see what turns up…
