The expedition
The very next day Twilight has already packed up her things. "Twilight, are you sure about this?" asked Spike, Twilight just look at him, "Of course, Spike!"she replied. Spike just sighed and hopped onto Twilight's back, "Then let's go." Twilight smiled and trotted outside to see if RainbowDash was ready. Like she expected, RainbowDash has already packed before she has.
"So, are you ready?"
"Of course I am! I'm always ready!"
Twilight just rolled her eyes and trotted to town square. In the middle of ponyville stood a carriage with the two guards that has took her here. RainbowDash flew near one of the guards and said, "I'm watching you..." Twilight just trotted over to the carriage and waited for RainbowDash to come over. Once the blue pegasus hopped onto the carriage they started heading towards Canterlot. After they came closer to Canterlot they noticed the forest near the castle, "Hey, do you think that's where we are gonna go?" asked RainbowDash.
"I'm not sure..."
"Not sure?! You lived here!"
"But remember, I never went on an expedition before."
RainbowDash just mumbled something under her breath and continued to wait until they landed. Once they landed, they both got off and to their surprise met two other ponies there, "H-hey...I'm-" but before the purple earth pony could finish her sentence, she was cut off with a hiccup. "She's Berrypunch and I'm Colgate." The other pony finished for her,"I'm TwilightSparkle and this is RainbowDash." Twilight replied. "Are you guys here for the expedition too?" asked RainbowDash, then all of a sudden BerryPunch yelled,"YES!!!Yes we are..." before falling to the ground. "Don't mind her. she's not mental, just drunk." Colgate reassured. Twilight and RainbowDash just looked at each other and just smiled. Ten minutes later, BlueBlood arrived. "You live right there yet you manage to get late?!" RainbowDash yelled, "It's called being fashionably late." BlueBlood replied. Fashionably late my ass...RainbowDash mumbled under her breath. Suddenly, Shining armor, Twilight's brother runs to Twilight. "Twilight, please think about this a little more..." he pleaded, Twilight just stared at him, "I'm old enough to take care of myself!" she exclaimed. BlueBlood pushed Shining armor out of the way and says, "Oh, so the little captain's afraid of some dumb forest?" BlueBlood mocked him, "You haven't taken the expedition before..."he said and just sighed, knowing that he couldn't get a word through his brain, "Just be careful..." Shining armor sighed and trotted back to the castle. Later on, Princess Celestia arrives with Princess Luna at the entrance of the forest. "Today, the grand expedition begins!" Both princesses began, "The instructions are simple, you must reach the other side of Sacred forest. The rules are also pretty simple, that first rule is that if you run out of supplies the blow the horn. The second is that you can't bring anyone along, that means no guards or Spike. The third is if you are in danger, then blow the horn. And now...you may BEGIN!!!" the two princesses flew to the sky and with that, five horns dropped from the sky.
BerryPunch, Colgate and RainbowDash were the first to get the horns, "Come on, Twilight!" RainbowDash said, and the three ponies dashed into the forest. Twilight used her magic to grab the horn and put it in her bag, and sprinted to the forest to catch up to the others. Blueblood just took the horn with his magic and put it in his bag but instead of sprinting like Twilight, he just carefully followed the others. With Colgate and BerryPunch taking the lead, they suddenly jumped onto a tree, "Rainbow and Twilight! Follow us!" Colgate calls. RainbowDash picks up Twilight and flies towards the two other ponies. "What do you want from us?" asked Twilight, "Talk later, just follow." Berrypunch said. RainbowDash and Twilight gave a surprising look, but they let it go by. After the sun was about to go down, Berrypunch and Colgate drops from the trees and onto a rocky area. BerryPunch takes out some flint from her bag and tried to start a fire, while Colgate assembles some rocks to form some kind of shelter. RainbowDash puts Twilight down and help BerryPunch, Twilight trots over to Colgate and tries to help her. Once they were finished, they put some logs together and sat on them. "So...How about, BlueBlood?"asked Twilight, "If he's alive by morning, then we'll meet him tomorrow."Berry punch answers, taking out some wine out of her bag and opens the cap off the bottle. RainbowDash and Twilight looked at both of them, "Your just joking, right?" chuckled RainbowDash, "No, I son't joke when I'm not hanged over." BerryPunch replies drinking some wine form the bottle. "B-But the princess would never do anything like that!" Twilight exclaims. "Twilight, why would you think your brother would try and get you out of this? Why would there be so few ponies coming to this expedition? And do you really think the princess would actually help you if we are in danger?! Your just like the ponies who foolishly fall into her plans, just like Princess Luna!" Colgate says,"She doesn't know shit about this!" Twilight just stared onto the ground and says, "Y-Your wrong! My brother was just worried about me and ponies don't come is because they hear these rumors!" BerryPunch just stares at her, "Look, we'll talk tomorrow. It's not safe outside like this."she puts the cap back on her wine and takes out a bottle of water and dumping it onto the fire. Colgate goes into their shelter. RainbowDash and Twilight follow while BerryPunch just stands near the exit, "I'll keep watch..." and with that almost everything comes into complete silence. But suddenly the silence was broken with a ear-shattering scream from out of nowhere, Twilight jolts awake and was about to dash out of the exit but BerryPunch stops her, "It's to late for him, wake up your friend and let's run."she said. Colgate already awake, gets up to her hooves and says, "So much for meeting him tomorrow." she sighed. Twilight wakes up RainbowDash all of them takes their bags and dash out of their camp site.
