//------------------------------// // Chapter 5 // Story: My Little Mutant Ninja // by Dark Nightshade //------------------------------// The next morning, Fluttershy was woken up by the sounds of many grunts. She rolled of the couch and stood up. She followed the sounds and found the turtles practicing hand to hand combat. She leaned against the wall and watched for a while. "Impressive," Spike said, surprising Fluttershy who let out a "Eep!" "Sorry, did I scary you?" he asked. Fluttershy blushed and nodded. "Spike! Fluttershy!" Twilight called from a perch on top of a train. "Good morning! I hope you slept well!" The turtles stopped their training and started to great them. "So, what happens now?" Spike asked. Twilight shrugged. "We've never had visitors before," she said. "Besides from that one dude who kept talking about feet," Pinkie snickered. Twilight scowled. "What?" she said. "I don't remember that!" "Oh yeah, you weren't there," Pinkie said. "I think you were above ground doing something, but there was some crazy old dude in here about a year and a half ago." "What do you mean he kept talking about feet?" Twilight asked. "And why didn't you tell me about this before now?" Pinkie shrugged. "It didn't seem important," she said. "The dude was obviously slightly crazy. And he kept repeating The Foot over and over." Twilight frowned and nodded solemnly. "And this happened over a year ago?" Twilight asked. The turtles nodded. "Then he obviously didn't place a tracker in here." "Yeah, we check many times everywhere or a tracker," Rainbow Dash said. "By the way, Applejack, are you ok?" Twilight asked. Applejack stopped what she was doing, which was scratching her neck. "Yeah, why do you ask?" she asked. Twilight pointed at Applejack's neck. "You've been scratching that spot for a while," Twilight said. "Are you having some kind of allergic reaction?" "No," Applejack said, then sighed. "It's been itching sense last night." "But wh-" Twilight's sentence was cut off when several black clothes man jumped out. They were completely covered in black cloth, with red strips wrapped around their heads. The eye holes were big and bug looking, and you could not see inside the mask, but they could obviously see out of it. Twilight and the turtles gasped as Fluttershy shrieked and Spike yelled. "Who are these?" Pinkie asked as more ninja poured in from somewhere and started to encircle them. The turtles and Twilight got into fighting positions and surrounded Fluttershy and Spike. There were about 20 opposing ninja now, and thankfully, none were coming in. "A clan that I wished that I would never see again," Twilight said as the ninja started to attack. "You've seen these guys before?" Rarity asked. Twilight sighed and nodded as she flipped over a ninja, and using that momentum, grabbed his head and slammed it into another's. "Unfortunately, yes," she said. "But now is not the time for stories!" She punched another ninja. She then realized that for every ninja that fell, another quickly took its place. "How did they find us?" As Twilight and the turtles continued to talk about possibilities of how they were found, Fluttershy and Spike managed to sneak away. They did have to fight a bit, but they where able to (finally) get out of the circle. "I have to get my stick and pucks!" Spike exclaimed. "How do we get to the van?" Fluttershy beckoned Spike. "Follow me!" Fluttershy said. But it was too late. By the time they got back to the battle room, no one was there. Fluttershy gasped. "What's going to happen to them?" she asked, despite Spike not actually being able to answere. Spike shrugged. "Who where they?" he asked. "The black ninjas?" "I wasn't told about them," Fluttershy said. "But Twilight seemed to know them, or at least about them." "Oh, would you look at that," Spike said. "They left a note." Fluttershy looked at Spike. "What?" she asked. "Sorry, but that is incredible random!" Spike nodded and pointed at a pice of paper taped to the side of a train. "I know, but they actually left a note right there, almost conveniently," Spike said. "Like in a story that the author didn't otherwise know how to advance the story!" Fluttershy frowned at the last bit, but was amazed that there was a note. As she and Spike walked towards it, she relized (not for the fist time, and for the last time) just how different her life was because of an accident.
