Chapter 04: Rainbow’s Team Moves In!


At this very moment, a familiar event is seen happening; some form of light across the same starry night skies of the Night Dimension. This light slowly began to form into three beings of other certain pony characters; Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy. These three are seen in a sleepy state while they gently fall, the stars whizzed all around their bodies. That sensation was enough to tickle those a bit to laugh when occasionally some hit until…they all yelped awake & soon landed on the white stone path of the entry to Dream Gate. Getting their bearings before sensing what was happening, from their landing, they saw they had ended up in a strange environment that was unfamiliar to them. And just like before, whenever one is in Dream Gate, the musical background of ‘When the Night Falls’ is heard.

“Oh my…what a lovely scenery! Could use a little work. But, it is upon its natural beauty I suppose.” Rarity humbly spoke in seeing what they are seeing was something to see.

“Oh….I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a peaceful place like this.” Fluttershy stared in looking around, this place was so mysterious, its like something out of a fairy tale.

“Yeah, that’s great and all, just one question…HOW’D WE GET HERE?” Rainbow Dash calmly was speaking at first before suddenly yelling this out to her pals that they don’t know how they came here. “Cause I vaguely recall running, saw a light at the end, & then some other light came from behind, &…nothing.” She stated that the last things that happened to them, were running from shadow cloud creatures, ran towards a light & then some other light came & impacted them & then…that’s about it.

“Yes, I recall them too. But still…this scenery is nicer than being in complete darkness.” Rarity slowly nods to agree with her friend, but found that this place was better to be in than from what they felt was a nightmare.

“Um, maybe we should think about what to do now. I mean…if that’s okay.” Fluttershy meekly suggested this to her friends, seeing they need to figure out how to get by.

“Well I’ll just scope out this place & be done faster than you can say…!” Rainbow Dash was boldly speaking before opening her wings, & started to prepare to make a zoom flight scene…but got zip! “Hugh?” She suddenly did a second look at herself & then was trying to flap her wings hard to try to get any air & lift herself up, but nothing…

“Oh, um…hugh.” Fluttershy slowly responded in thinking Rainbow meant when they say ‘hugh’ that she be done, but…this seem puzzling.

“Very funny Rainbow Dash, playing a little game with us & all.” Rarity rolled her eyes in seeing this as some joke to pull their legs.

“Hey, I’m trying to flap my wings here, but I’m not getting off the ground!” Rainbow Dash snapped off to say this in looking like she was not kidding, before she stop to point from tiring herself out. “Hugh-High…something’s up. Fluttershy, you try too.” She look to her shy friend to ask that she try to fly too, something was fishy here & she needs answers for it.

Fluttershy was puzzled to be ask to fly when Rainbow couldn’t, but decided to do it. As Fluttershy was flapping her wings, she had her eyes shut, but as she open them…she saw that with flapping wings, she was not off the ground. She tried harder to flap faster, but she finally gave in to sigh & look at herself to see that she was unable to do what Rainbow couldn’t do either.

“Oh dear! I can’t seem to fly up even with wings!” Fluttershy lightly gasped in seeing what was the situation for her; she seems grounded just like Rainbow Dash.

“Very strange, I can understand you don’t mind walking, but if you really can’t fly, then Rainbow isn’t joking.” Rarity look a bit concern, usually Fluttershy is fine walking, but if she’s not joking around to not get off the ground to fly, then both her & Rainbow Dash are in the same boat.

“Told ya! It’s really weird! It’s like we lost the ability to fly, only we still have our wings!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed today this in seeing that for unknown reasons, neither Pegasus can fly.

“Um, well…I have heard about birds with wings, but they are flightless.” Fluttershy spoke in thinking that even birds with wings, can’t fly.

“But we CAN’T be flightless! We’re Pegasus Ponies, flying is our thing! If we can’t fly, then what are we?” Rainbow Dash panicked a bit to Fluttershy, they are meant to fly, if they can’t, then it’s worse as if not having wings to begin with.

“Oh calm yourself, don’t be so overly dramatic?” Rarity asked calmly that her friend was being a bit overly dramatic over the matter.

“Says you.” Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow in seeing that this discussion of her being overly dramatic from a drama queen was a little off.

“Well, maybe they got dirt & your feathers are weight down. Here, I’ll use a little magic to wipe the dirt off…” Rarity spoke to say, came & lean her horn near Rainbow’s left wing to glow a bit…but no aura of magic came from the horn. “What the…? Hmm…” Rarity was puzzled before trying to focus harder to make her magic happen, but it was a no go.

“Um, Rarity….are you okay?” Fluttershy asked in seeing something was now wrong with Rarity at this time.

“Yeah, what’s the delay?” Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow in seeing something was up with Rarity now.

“My goodness, how strange! My horn is here, but I feel as if…as if…” Rarity spoke puzzled to seeing her horn was here, but she was not able to get any magic going from it. “As if I’m no longer capable of using magic! Like I’ve become…an Earth Pony!” She gasped in suddenly feeling she lost the magic she had.

“Is that bad?” Fluttershy asked in thinking that being just an Earth pony isn’t that bad, they have friends who are.

“Oh no….what am I to do? How am I supposed to get by if I can’t use magic no more? I need it most of the time to make a living to make designs!” Rarity gasped to dramatically state the awful state of not being able to use magic means she’ll have to do more physical labor; how can she make a living then?

“You can also join a freak-show & be Equestria’s un-magical unicorn.” Rainbow Dash lightly smiled to make a joke which Rarity glared at her in not finding that funny. “Kidding, just kidding!” She held up her hooves to say she was just playing with Rarity, no need to get all moody about it.

“Um, maybe we should just focus on what to do around here? Maybe we’ll find some pony to help us.” Fluttershy suggested this idea in what they can do at this moment & time.

“Hugh, I suppose you’re right darling, sitting here bickering won’t get us anywhere or know how to get home.” Rarity sighs to give in to agree with Fluttershy, they aren’t getting anywhere at this rate.

“Then let’s check this place out, might not be faster without flying, but close enough…” Rainbow Dash stated to say that though they do this on ground, they may as well do something at least.

Soon the ponies begin to walk from the outside part to come near the gate structure of Dream Gate. Along the way, they came near some Blue Chips which were absorb into them, it freaked Fluttershy out a bit, but Rarity & Rainbow Dash didn’t feel anything different or bad, & consider the blue swirling orbs harmless & not scary, which made the shy Pegasus come near one, & feel…not so scared anymore in seeing these things aren’t scary. Finally, the group were just about to reach near the fountain, where they were gonna try to understand more things while trying to look around to figure things out until…

“Oh ho hoo! We have guests!” A familiar hooty owl sound responded off from out of nowhere that caught the ponies’ attention. “Is this your first time here, mademoiselles?” That’s when the cautious ponies turn to their left & soon found who flap on down to meet them….a talking owl!

“A….talking owl?” Rarity yelps in seeing this, they know about Owlowiscious that’s Twilight’s pet, but all he says his ‘hoot’ which they misunderstand as who words.

“Oh my goodness! This is….so amazing!” Fluttershy perk up with a big smile in looking to this creature, it’s an owl that can talk with English words.

“Figures you like it, it is an animal related subject.” Rainbow Dash shrug off in seeing Fluttershy get excited in who they are seeing is an animal that can talk to them with words & sentences.

“Allow me to explain some things.” Owl spoke off to say this to the group. “You three are now standing at the entrance to what your species would call the World of Dreams.” Owl explained the matter of where these three ponies are currently standing upon is a place that exist in a realm of dreams.

“The World of Dreams you say?” Rarity slowly responded in sounding curious to hear that name and of where we are.

“So…are we in a wonderful place?” Fluttershy slowly asked in trying to understand just where they are now.

“Ehh, I think he’s trying to say we’ve entered some theme place that’s called it.” Rainbow Dash shrug off to say this in figuring the name World of Dreams was a place for attractions.

“Hoo! Listen well, my three friends.” Owl hooted off to say in getting these ponies & their attention. “Don’t be fooled by that name, ‘World of Dreams’. I don’t mean to imply that the world itself doesn’t exist.” Owl explained forth the matter in trying to clarify something that has everyone uncertain.

“Oh really, then…what does it mean?” Fluttershy asked in being curious at this moment.

“Yes, do tell. We’re listening, right Rainbow?” Rarity nods in wanting to know more, even to have Rainbow Dash pay attention too.

“Yeah, I am….” Rainbow lightly shrug off to say, don’t have anything else to do now.

“Well then, it is simply…oh, how should I put it?” Owl spoke in trying to decide how to explain what he means to Visitors that have come here. “Well, it is another world, one that you are able to visit only while you are fast asleep.” He explained this with a calm & collective approach to tell those here of what the World of Dreams is, a place one comes to if they are asleep.

“Asleep you say?” Rarity gasped in hearing this, as she & her friends were spell-shock; this place is seen to them if they are asleep than awake.

“We ourselves refer to it as the Night Dimension.” Owl stated in what this place is to those that are new here, before flapping his wings down onto the ground. “And people, or in your cases ponies, who come to the Night Dimension from your world are known as Visitors.” Owl explained that this was a dimension that was separated from the ponies’ world of Equestria & what they are called upon arriving here.

“Wait, we’re in another dimension, one where we’re still asleep & dreaming?” Rainbow Dash was asking all of these things in finding them the most hard to swallow. “Man, either this is real or maybe I ate too much sweets before bed!” She rub her back head in wondering if she was really seeing this or not.

“Um, excuse me sir, your explanation was very nice & all, but…can we ask who you are? Um, if that’s okay I mean.” Fluttershy meekly spoke her shy voice in wanting to ask this nice owl of who he was since they listen to him talk most of the time while being very patient.

“Oh yes! Pardon me. I do tend to rattle on.” Owl responded off in seeing that he simply forgot to introduce himself to these new Visitors without introduction. “You may call me Owl, Visitors.” Owl introduced himself to the ponies in who they can call him since…well, he is an owl after all.

“Ugh, yeah…that might make things easier, I guess.” Rainbow Dash lightly rolled her eyes in seeing the relation of the name of this guy is also a part of his breed.

“A pleasure to meet you sir, we’re…” Rarity was about to introduce herself to Owl and then her friends…

Then suddenly without warning, something zoom by with a sparkling star dust trail between Owl & the ponies which knock them off their talons & hooves.

“Ugh…Ahh!” Rarity yelped to knock back against Fluttershy & Rainbow to where they are on their flanks; what was that just now.

“Hoo! What’s that? What’s that?” Owl asked off from recovering from the shock as a familiar purple jester was seen flying around everyone while leaving a little night dust behind.

Soon the little flier in question soon hovered up into the air & then made itself present before the group below. Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy were seeing this person for the first time & it was none other than NiGHTS. Seeing the new Visitors, NiGHTS was floating down to hover a little off the ground, raised her left leg to cross & cross her arms in studying the scene with a nice smile while seen to be a friendly being. Of course she was seen hiding a little smirk in having played a little trick just now on Owl & the others by catching them by surprise.

“Dearest me, you gave me quite a fright!” Owl flaps his wings in beginning to give a scolding to the jester here. “You ought to know better than to startle your elders in such a manner!” As Owl was lecturing, NiGHTS look to him & then at the surprise ponies as Fluttershy & Rarity stare at her in wonderment, Rainbow Dash held a chuckle in hearing Owl scold this new character for pulling a prank, she found it kinda funny.

“Hey there! Sorry about the old bird, here. I know it’s kind of a drag listening to him squawking on & on.” NiGHTS waved off her right hand to discuss the issue about Owl to the ponies before standing upwards & hover over to them with a smile.

“Hmmmp-hmmphm…” Rainbow Dash almost let off a loud chuckle at hearing that funny comment, but…

“Ssshhh…” Rarity hush her friend to not laugh in this situation, especially to be rude to Owl who was greeting them.

“Excuse me…a drag?!” Owl protest to say this in sounding a bit upset by that statement that was rude. “I am simply attempting to welcome these Visitors…” Owl came between the middle to discuss the issue with NiGHTS of what he was doing while the jester flies off & the ponies got up from the ground.

“Who….who are you?” Fluttershy asked off in being a bit shy, for neither her nor her friends knew who NiGHTS was, though she did seem friendly.

“My name is NiGHTS!” NiGHTS introduced herself to the little ponies here while soaring around above while leaving behind a trail of star dust that seem pretty by its trail pattern of an infinite symbol. “Let me tell ya, you’ll all have a much better time flying around with me than chatting with this old owl.” NiGHTS was stating off that if those here wanna have a much better time than just hearing the preaching from Owl, then this jester is the one to do it.

“Ehehehe, oh man…hearing that kinda reminds me of our friend who likes to say lots of smart things!” Rainbow Dash then was free to let off a little laugh at seeing how NiGHTS made that joke to the wise Owl, reminds her of the pony & Twilight in each different position.

“Oh, not that we don’t mind, after all…you…do kinda sound like you like to talk a lot.” Rarity soon tries to let Owl know that they are fine with him, even if he does go a little off.

“Hugh, I suppose.” Owl sighs to let this one little issue slide by.

“So how about it?” NiGHTS flew down & held out her right hand to the ponies here in awaiting their answer. “Want to Dualize with me & try your hand at flying around? Any of you?” She asked in seeing if Rainbow, Rarity or Fluttershy wants to have a shot to fly around.

“Du…Dualize? Flying?” Fluttershy slowly responded when she & the others hear that word, they don’t understand what that has to do with flying.

“Oh Hoo!” Owl spoke off in amazement in about to tell this group of what they don’t understand. “NiGHTS here is able to ‘Dualize’ with Visitors. The process allows your bodies to assimilate with one another.” He flaps his wings to explain the case of when one Dualizes with NiGHTS, they are likely becoming one.

“Hugh? What do you mean?” Rarity asked a bit lost, neither she nor anyone here can follow along since only Twilight was the smart mare to understand this technical stuff.

“Ah. It would probably be much easier to understand if any of you just tried it.” Owl simply stated that maybe those here can understand better, by doing than picturing as he flies over to NiGHTS who was waiting. “Go over & touch NiGHTS. You’ll see what I mean. That is, of course, if you’re interested in that sort of thing…” Owl explained that one just needs to touch NiGHTS & they’ll get the idea, that is if they wanna do it & fly around.

“You kidding mean, have a chance to fly, I’m down with that!” Rainbow Dash smiled off in saying that she’ll gladly try this out.

“It is strange, we have wings, but can’t fly, but NiGHTS can.” Fluttershy spoke in wondering how they can’t fly while someone here, can & without wings.

“And by magic it seems & yet I can’t even make my horn glow.” Rarity pondered that NiGHTS used magic to fly, but how can she not use magic.

“Ah, that is because your Dream Spirits are here, without your actual bodies that your magic sleeps in, its understandable why…” Owl spoke to say that the reason these ponies can’t use any of their own flight & magic is because they are in the World of Dreams that’s got different laws than the wake world. “Plus, only when you dream, it takes focus to fly, however….it seems you cannot achieve it quite yet.” Owl pointed out that even if those that dream imagine themselves flying, it takes certain focus which is harder now for these new Visitors.

“Best to save that for later Owl, so who’s first?” NiGHTS cuts the long boring stuff & wants one of the ponies to try to fly with her.

“Well, as much as I like to…I’m not really a flier. I had wings before, but…that was a different story.” Rarity stated to say in knowing that she, being a unicorn, she knows where she stands & she remembers her time once having wings long ago to help Rainbow Dash out one time.

“I can fly, but only so much. So…” Fluttershy meekly said in stating this before looking towards…

“That just leaves me! I’ll take your offer!” Rainbow Dash smiled off to say that she’ll gladly be the one to take up NiGHTS offer, she wants to fly as fast as possible.

Soon Rainbow Dash approaches while her two friends follow closely. As Rainbow Dash stood before NiGHTS, as the jester held out her right hand to await the one to Dualize with her. In response, Rainbow Dash held up her right front hoof, they touch one another before a familiar bright blue light enveloped them & blinded everyone else. Once that was over & the light faded, we soon see NiGHTS floating above the fountain, but there was something else…Rainbow Dash, as an astro spirit form was seen with the jester. And when Rainbow’s spirit moved, so did NiGHTS it would seem.

“This…Is…SO COOL!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed to say in seeing this, she & NiGHTS are one in the same, but the mare felt like moving the jester’s body from what she wants.

“Looks like you find this to a liking.” NiGHTS smiled off in moving her body in responding to Rainbow’s spirit body.

“Yeah, hay Fluttershy, Rarity, you’ve seriously got to…hugh?” Rainbow’s spirit was looking below to tell her friends this, but they were not there. “Where are they?” She asked in not getting where Rarity & Fluttershy went off to.

“Um, right here.” Fluttershy’s voice was behind Rainbow’s spirit, & soon the dare-devil pony’s spirit found not only the shy mare & Rarity…but the two were spirits like her.

“Wait, how’d you both get here?” Rainbow’s spirit asked off in what the hay was going on, how’d these two join her with NiGHTS.

“That’s what I like to know! One moment you touch NiGHTS, & from a bright light, we find ourselves…like this!” Rarity’s spirit stated that they just found themselves together with Rainbow while apart of NiGHTS, it’s so puzzling.

“My, my….this seems vaguely familiar.” Soon Owl flew up to join NiGHTS & those that have Dualized with the jester. “It would seem since you three came together, perhaps you’re able to Dualize with NiGHTS together. But, only one of you at a time can guide her.” He stated to say this in what he can basically analyze the matter of what’s happened here.

“Oh, well…I suppose sharing isn’t a bad idea.” Fluttershy’s spirit lightly stated in having been told of this.

“Well, I suppose we’ll have to adjust, right?” Rarity’s spirit nods off to say this in having been told of what’s to happen.

“Now, listen closely, all of you. In NiGHTS’ stead, allow me to teach you how to fly.” Owl stated forth in about to begin a lesson for those that are new to this whole thing. “First, I suppose I should tell you about the Mindsight.”

“Ah mind…what-see?” Rainbow Dash’s spirit raised an eyebrow in having heard this.

“Let me explain. Do you see things as if they are your own eyes, but seems as if they are in back of your head; That, dear Visitors, is your Mindsight.” Owl pointed in a general direction for the others to follow along, they used their eyes to see & known the area spread. “Focus your Mindsight, then you can influence NiGHTS & fly in that direction in what you see. However, if your Mindsight is too far from NiGHTS in what direction you wish to go, it will turn red, breaking the link & NiGHTS will move unguided. Which is why, it’s only used for your field area.” He explained the case in what must be done, & if not done correctly, will result in terrible conditions when flying.

“Oh my, we don’t wanna be a bother!” Fluttershy’s spirit spoke in feeling like that wouldn’t be good for NiGHTS.

“It can be tricky, so I would suggest you fly around the plaza.” Owl notified in what the ones controlling NiGHTS should do first.

“So one of us needs to guide NiGHTS then?” Rarity’s spirit asked in following along the subject.

“Correct. One of you must guide where you want to go, NiGHTS will fly around accordingly. Simple, no?” Owl pointed out that since these ponies Dualized with NiGHTS, they must choose who shall guide the jester.

“Then leave it to me, I’ll help lead the way.” Rainbow’s spirit declared that if she’s doing it, then her two observing pals within NiGHTS can follow along to learn too.

“Good. Then take a whirl around the plaza, if you would.” Owl nods off to say while wanting this group to control NiGHTS in where they wanna go.

Then at that moment, NiGHTS was moving by Rainbow Dash’s doing to leave a sparky starry dust trail. From a few familiar moves that Rainbow Dash knows & from what was seen by NiGHTS, made the flying even more awesome. NiGHTS left a gold trail from the wrist, did what was a Paraloop while the ponies didn’t see its portal suction happen & continued to fly about. Owl asked that they fly to the right & so they responded to do so while doing some nice acrobatic air moves. Fluttershy & Rarity also seem to have gotten a handle of how NiGHTS can fly too.

“Well done, Visitors! Excellent work.” Owl complimented in seeing that task perform nicely. “Now I’ll tell you about a slightly more advanced flying technique, the Drill Dash.” He explained the matter of what else was next, something really nice too.

“Cool, sounds like my kinda name!” Rainbow’s spirit exclaimed with a big smile in what she heard about the name of that move.

“Oh really, is it because it has your last word in there?” Rarity’s spirit issued off in guessing the reason why.

“Now my friends, try to fly to the right & then let yourself go like dash. This is the high-speed Drill Dash!” Owl explained the case in what Rainbow Dash must do as NiGHTS to pull off a move.

“You can do it Rainbow, we’ll see how you do it.” Fluttershy’s spirit encouraged her friend to go & do her best.

“Yep, let’s do this!” Rainbow’s spirit responded to her friends and NiGHTS in raring to get going.

Soon those in NiGHTS made the jester fly upwards & then perform a spinning feature of a golden line trail & golden sparkles as if looking like a drill dashing across the night skies.

“It would seem you catch on quickly. Now then, try to go through those floating rings over there.” Owl appeared near NiGHTS in seeing the pony visitors’ progress, before pointing towards strange rings that were floating in the air, made up of golden orbs. “Fly through them while performing the Drill Dash & see what happens.” He pointed at a spot in what he wants the group to do next.

Curious in what Owl said, the ponies decided to give it a whirl. So in piloting NiGHTS, Rainbow Dash had the jester go through the rings, & near the last one, spun around at top speed to perform the Drill Dash again while the golden orbs fly around the jester’s body & absorbed into it. Those in NiGHTS felt very good, this was amazing that they flew higher into the sky & found another line of golden orb rings in waiting.

“Hoo-hoo….excellent work.” Owl spoke to fly in near NiGHTS & the others in speaking to them. “The Drill Dash is a useful skill, but using it causes your Dash Power to deplete.” He spoke in giving the grim news of using the Drill Dash too much will leave those here unable to use later.

“What!” Rainbow Dash’s spirit yelled out in having heard that, she can’t use that move all the time.

“You heard him Rainbow, you use it too much then we’ll be depleted.” Rarity’s spirit scolds her friend to be more careful.

“Listen Closely. To regain Dash Power, fly through the yellow Rings that you see.” Owl spoke in pointing to the rings that those in NiGHTS have done before. “When you fly through a Ring, a small amount of Dash Power will be recovered. So, give it a try!” Owl explained in how this group can regain their strength to perform the Drill Dash by going through the Rings.

Now in controlling NiGHTS, Rainbow has the jester fly through the golden orb Rings, slowly recovering the Dash Power used up earlier. Then when they came near double loop from going through one & going up, look like tricky stuff, but….NiGHTS was seen pulling it off like a circus act.

“Hoo-hoo…You’ve gotten quite good at this, now haven’t you?” Owl flew in to see how well these ponies have improved in where one of the three has NiGHTS go to such acts.

“Oh, well…we’re doing our best.” Fluttershy’s spirit spoke in replying with an honest expression.

“Modest, aren’t you?” NiGHTS stated in seeing what Fluttershy was all about.

“By the way, do you three recall the blue spheres that you’ve come across while flying about?” Owl gets himself together in speaking about another topic that needs to be gone over.

“I believe so, we saw them as they came in, why?” Rarity’s spirit responded to say while curious about the subject.

“Well…those are Blue Chips, with the power to revitalize your spirits & aid you. Be sure to pick them up when you see them.” Owl explained the name & the function of the Blue Chips to this group.

“Okay! If they can help us, then we’ll do it!” Rainbow’s spirit used NiGHTS’ left hand to make a thumbs up in getting that message clear with a smile.

Now Rainbow was again having NiGHTS move to fly up over the next split loop while collecting the Blue Chips. Slowly, those within NiGHTS felt some form of energy going through them that helps the jester perform much better in whoever is in control. They even zoom through more golden orb rings with much easy pace & practice, that Rainbow Dash even let Fluttershy & even the non-flier Rarity have a far shot & it looks like they all have gotten the hang of it.

“My word…I haven’t done that since with those butterfly wings!” Rarity’s spirit responded in recalling that old event she had with having wings.

“Usually I couldn’t do these things, but…I seem fine now.” Fluttershy smiled in feeling pretty much okay with herself when doing these things with NiGHTS.

“Visitors…Have you gotten the hang of how NiGHTS moves when flying?” Owl asked off in flying after those flying NiGHTS around & he heard some ‘yes’ replies from the pony spirits. “Good, then in that case. Try flying around the forest once.” Owl suggested this next course to help those get another feel for things.

Having heard that, Rainbow nodded with Fluttershy & Rarity as they all agree to do so, & from having a turn, they had NiGHTS fly around the forest while going through the little course of Rings & collecting Blue Chips. Once things were settle, did NiGHTS flew near the fountain where Owl awaited the jester & the three spirit ponies seen.

“Splendid job, Visitors! Just splendid indeed!” Owl praise the ponies for having handle NiGHTS so well, it was surprising. “All right, now allow me to tell you about another of NiGHTS’s special skill, the Paraloop. It’s formed by drawing a circle with Twinkle Dust from NiGHTS’s hands. Anything in that circle gets sucked in. There are some susceptible to its power, like Blue Chips!” Owl explained the basic function to that skill ability that with NiGHTS, anything can be suck in; almost anything that is. “Isn’t that something? Well, it’s probably easier to see for yourself how it works than hearing me out. Now go on now, give it a try.” Owl stated off in seeing those using NiGHTS will best learn on the field than by words.

“Right!” The pony spirits responded in hearing that, & now begin the next work.

Soon NiGHTS moved off to find Blue Chips that floated about & soon did a circle form on one, & a portal appeared to suck them in. Seeing how the task can be done when Rainbow had a shot, Fluttershy & Rarity gave it a go with NiGHTS in circling long & wide Blue Chips to create bigger portals that suck in a lot more.

“Nicely done. By tracing the arc of a larger circle, a larger area will be sucked in by the Paraloop.” Owl explained the case in how well those in NiGHTS have done at this moment.

“Yep, we’re awesome!” Rainbow’s spirit bragged out in feeling pretty amazing.

“What’s this?! Great Scott, the horror!” Owl screeched out in looking to a different spot in sounding horrid.

“Oh dear, did we do something wrong?” Fluttershy’s spirit asked when she & her friends saw Owl look shock for unknown reasons.

“No, it’s not you…look! Nightmarens, at the Dream Gate!” Owl shook his head while looking down at what was actually occurring; Nightmarens were at the Dream Gate.

“Hugh? Nightmarens?” Rarity asked off puzzled as neither she nor Rainbow & Fluttershy knew what those are.

“Oh brother, again!” NiGHTS sigh to say in having heard what was happening as if this wasn’t the first time.

“Visitors, please, use the Paraloop ability you’ve learn to suck up those Nightmarens!” Owl exclaimed in a panicky tone of what needs to be done right away.

Without wasting a single second, Rainbow took control of NiGHTS to fly off, & soon managed to find something that appeared out of nowhere. They came across a green seahorse-like creature type species of what were Nightmarens.

“What are those things?” Rainbow’s spirit asked in not seeing anything like these weird seahorses.

“Seapos, tell me, do any of you know how to handle animals?” NiGHTS issued the name of the creatures while asking a question here.

“Well, I do.” Fluttershy’s spirit responded to say this in having done such a task.

“Are you certain you can do it darling?” Rarity’s spirit asked if Fluttershy can handle this matter.

“Come on, have a little faith, cause we’re gonna go in.” NiGHTS issued to say this that Fluttershy decided to get serious; if it’s about animals, she’ll try her best.

Then by Fluttershy’s little guide to be wary of any dangerous animals, NiGHTS performed some Paraloops over while going through some Rings & Blue Chips to help keep up their energy strength & dodging any attacks. After a bit of a while, did it look like there were not many Seapos around & they took care of them.

“Hoo! It looks like there weren’t too many of those Nightmarens after all.” Owl sighed in much relief to appear near NiGHTS & the ponies to see that everything was alright now.

“Well, Fluttershy managed to handle fine on her own.” Rarity’s spirit complimented her friend on a job well done here.

“Um, well…all I did was choose the non-fighting way.” Fluttershy’s spirit said in feeling a bit bashful.

“Well now, you probably noticed, but with a large Paraloop, you can suck in Blue Chips from a wider area. Like when you took two of those Seapos at once.” Owl also explained off the case in point of their chatter.

“Oh yeah! Let’s try that out right now!” Rainbow’s spirit issued in wanting to try out that little feat right away.

Soon NiGHTS was seen performing a larger circle around a wider stack of Blue Chips. Course the first few tries were not working until a bit more speed boost from Drill Dash caught up the Twinkle Dust, causing one Paraloop to work just fine. Once after getting a hang of how things work, did the ponies have NiGHTS fly around to get in any other practices before they were seemingly going down from the Dream Gate shaped like a floating island to…a familiar empty abyss of darkness.

“Hey, hold on a moment! There’s something I forgot to tell you three.” NiGHTS suddenly interrupts the flying course in sounding very serious of something to tell.

“Oh really, what ever could it be?” Rarity’s spirit questioned.

Soon NiGHTS flew before stopping in mid-air, hands to her hips & then stare down at…a dark ocean.

“You see that Dark Ocean over there?” NiGHTS pointed with her right arm in making this statement. “You’d be best off if you don’t go anywhere near it.” The jester explained the case before resetting her pointed arm to her waist.

“You mean…that…that ocean over there, with the black water?” Fluttershy’s spirit showed in mimicking NiGHTS

“Right.” NiGHTS nods her head in stating the shy pony was correct in describing the Dark Ocean. “I don’t really know exactly what it is myself.” NiGHTS exclaimed to cross her arms & tilt her head up, that whatever the ocean of darkness is isn’t good. “But they say it can destroy a Visitor’s soul, & then they’ll never be able to return here again.” NiGHTS explained to shake her head & then position her hands to her waist again after giving that tale of what happens to unfortunate Visitors.

“Oh my…” Rarity’s spirit gasp at hearing that, it did not sound too pleasant.

“Woah, sounds heavy! So we go in, we won’t come out?” Rainbow’s spirit stated to say in thinking it’s a one way trip, they go in; it’s game over.

“Gulp…I think we should heed the warning.” Fluttershy’s spirit swallowed hard with worry in not liking the sounds of never returning.

“Well, anyway. It’s just a story…Let’s go back to the Dream Gate.” NiGHTS shrug off to say this with a confident smile, held up her right hand to stare at the pony spirits in making this suggestion.

With an agreement, did NiGHTS soon take the pony spirits within her upwards to return to the surface of Dream Gate, hoping to not let what was warn about the Dark Ocean get to them too much.

Soon the scene returns to where NiGHTS was coming down near Owl by the fountain. Then a familiar flash of light appeared, & when it faded, Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy were now standing before the two. But just then, there was a Door that appeared on the other side where Owl managed to see its appearance.

“Ho Hoo! How Curious! The Door to Nightopia seems to have appeared.” Owl exclaimed in seeing this, as NiGHTS & the curious ponies look to him in having heard that. “But then that must mean…You three must have an Ideya!” He exclaimed to say this in what those here might be holding onto.

“Wha…what’s an Ideya?” Fluttershy shyly asked out in not knowing about such a thing.

“And what’s Nightopia?” Rarity asked this question to Owl that they don’t know about.

“Yah, we need some explanation here.” Rainbow Dash pointed off in what they gotta know.

“Ideya are sparks of light that dwell within the hearts of Visitors.” Owl explained the case in what Ideya is, much to the surprise to the ponies to hear this; but NiGHTS roll her eyes in having to hear the owl tell that tale to the newcomers. “Here in the Night Dimension, those Ideya can give form to the paradise known as Nightopia.” He explained the case where thanks to Ideya, a place of paradise is created.

“Paradise? Really?” Rarity exclaimed with a big smile on her face, liking the sounds of that to look at the Door with interest.

“Alright! I like the sounds of this trip!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed in liking the sounds of this more & more.

“Oh, I like to see this paradise too! Um, if it’s okay.” Fluttershy spoke off before meekly requesting if she can come too.

“Oh, come on! Enough with the explanations!” NiGHTS waved off to say that they are done with the explanation of things from what Owl was saying to the ponies. “Let’s just go check it out!” She turn to the ponies to pump herself up in saying they can go & see this for themselves. “Hey! Come to think of it. What’s your names, anyway, little ponies?” NiGHTS suddenly moved in front to a side in asking who their new friends are, after so much excitement, they never got the ponies by their names.

“Well, my name is Fluttershy.” Fluttershy kindly spoke to present herself her.

“Name’s Rainbow Dash, coolest pony from my hometown!” Rainbow Dash eagerly introduced herself as such a pony.

“And my name is Rarity. And may I say, it’s a pleasure to meet you, NiGHTS.” Rarity spoke a bit more noble in meeting a new friend here.

“The pleasure’s all mine!” NiGHTS responded from hearing that compliment. “Alright Rarity, Rainbow, Fluttershy, let’s go then!” NiGHTS declared in announcing they get going to explore the new Nightopia beyond the Door as the jester flew upwards & around the ponies’ side.

“All right then!” Rarity nods off to smile, she & her friends like that.

“Yeah! Let’s go!” Rainbow Dash pump up her hoof in agreement.

“Yah!” Fluttershy happily spoke in liking that very much.

But just then, something ended up disturbing this little scenery & it was heading towards the one who turn to face it with a surprise shock face: NiGHTS. And then what happens next was that NiGHTS was soon pin to the new Door by someone’s hand gripping & pressing the jester against the wooden door structure. And as the others slowly saw what happened, they saw who held a struggling NiGHTS…another jester, but one who was different, & it was…Reala!

“Ah, NiGHTS. Long time no see.” Reala quoted off to speak half-heartily of a dry meet-n-greet approach while he held back one hand as if preparing to almost strike. “Out for a walk with your little Visitor friends, are we?” He narrow his head in making witty comments about what NiGHTS was doing with some new ponies that have arrived.

“Ugh…Reala!” NiGHTS held her hands to Reala’s right wrist, trying to struggle free, but was unable to from the sudden surprise action.

“Sorry, NiGHTS. I’m under orders to put you away for a bit. Nothing personal.” Reala remotely spoke a lightly chatter to hold up his free left hand in stating he’s under order, so whatever the matter between them, he’s saying for her to not take this personally.

“Oh goodness! Who is that? Why is he doing that to poor NiGHTS?” Fluttershy yelps in feeling that whoever this other jester was seem unfriendly.

“Who cares, we have to stop him!” Rainbow Dash sternly stated in seeing someone was hurting their new friend.

“Right! Hey you! Leave NiGHTS alone!” Rarity protest to say in wanting to stop what the evil fiend was doing.

But before the ponies could rush in to help out, Owl suddenly flew in to cut them off from getting anywhere near the two jesters.

“No! You mustn’t go near that monster!” Owl warns the ponies to not go anywhere near Reala, he’s a dangerous foe that they stand no chance of stopping.

“Yes, yes, listen to your elders.” Reala remarked off as if teasing towards those that were gonna stop him as he held NiGHTS. “You’re just helpless little ponies, after all.” He quoted off to say in how weak Rainbow, Fluttershy & Rarity are to him.

“HELPLESS! WHY I OUTTA!” Rainbow Dash snapped in feeling insulted, but when she would have charge blindly, Rarity & Fluttershy had to hold her back so she wouldn’t do anything crazy.

“Furhmphm-hmph-hmphmm…” Reala lets off a wicked snicker while NiGHTS tries to pull herself out of Reala’s grip press with no luck. Reala continues to let off an evil laugh before turning his focus onto NiGHTS as the good jester yelps before what Reala did was phase them both through the new Door.

Before Rainbow, Fluttershy & Rarity could stop him, Reala was already from where he was at the Door; & he took NiGHTS with him. Rarity & Fluttershy drop to their knees in feeling horrified of what happened, even Rainbow Dash was on her knees to pound the ground in seeing they couldn’t do anything to help.

“Oh, I’m so sorry. That was terribly frightening, wasn’t it? Hoo!” Owl apologized with a sincere face in feeling sorry that these good ponies had to see that as he came to help comfort them in a moment of need. 

“Owl…just what was he?” Rarity asked with worry, just what was it they saw there.

“That was a Nightmaren, from the dark realm of Nightmare.” Owl explained in just what Reala was, he was a Nightmaren, & judging by how he acted, it was like the gang was seeing a nightmare unfold.

“That was a Nightmaren, but he was nothing like those Seapos we took care of.” Rainbow Dash complained in how that Reala guy seem way different than what they took care of before.

“I’m afraid with Reala, he’s more powerful than those Nightmarens you sought out.” Owl shook his head to say that unlike the Seapos, Reala is a much, much more powerful Nightmaren.

“Oh dear, what do they want?” Fluttershy asked in fearing to learn what these Nightmarens even want.

“Their aim is to take Ideya from Visitors in order to destroy the Nightopia.” Owl sadly explained this while the ponies listen as he stare off at the Door. “When Visitors come to this world, they ambush them & steal their Ideya from them.” He explained what the Nightmarens are plotting, they take away Ideya, the source that creates Nightopia, in order to destroy what the Visitors create.

“My goodness! How horrible!” Rarity gasped in shock, the Nightmarens wanna destroy Nightopia & take the Ideya.

“In all likelihood, they must have taken your Ideyas as well…” Owl look back at the ponies in fearing that the Nightmarens have already taken the Ideyas these Visitors once had.

Just then, during the discussion, something began to glow off from Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy & Rarity, around their front bottom hooves; as it took on the color red. Owl managed to notice this when he flap nearby the ponies & it surprised him.

“Oh hoo! That crimson light!” Owl exclaimed to move closer to inspect the red light, much to the ponies’ surprise. “Could it be a Red Ideya!?” He asked off in pondering if that was the very light from a certain Ideya.

“Ugh!” The ponies looked to their hooves in puzzlement, & they each saw it, but could not believe it; they have an Ideya. But not only that, there was also something…familiar that was mix in, but what was it?

“Ah, yes, I see! That Ideya must be what called forth this Door!” Owl flew up higher in stating that from the three ponies, they managed to call upon this Door before them; it makes sense since Ideya creates Nightopia.

“Oh, pretty!” Fluttershy spoke in looking at the red glow off her hoof.

“Now this, looks pretty sweet!” Rainbow Dash smiled in liking what it was that they are holding here.

“Owl, just what sorta Ideya are we holding?” Rarity asked in pondering just what it was they held.

“You all hold the ‘Ideya of Courage’. With that, you might just be able to rescue NiGHTS!” Owl explained what sorta Ideya the ponies had, & with it, they can help save NiGHTS who was in trouble. “But that is your decision. I will wait for you beyond the Door.” Owl explained that this action is for those here to decide, if they wanna risk their life or not in the face of danger.

Before the ponies could even ask another question, Owl suddenly vanished into thin air, like teleportation or something. Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy stare off where Owl was, before looking to the Red Ideya that glow from their hooves before it slowly went away for a bit, just as they look to the Door. If they go through there, they may be able to help rescue NiGHTS, but they do not know what may lie beyond it from how Owl said they had a choice. This seem a little frustrating at the moment…

“Well I know what I’m doing! Come on, let’s go after & save our pal!” Rainbow Dash issued in becoming determine to go in & help rescue a friend in trouble.

“But Rainbow, what can we do? We can’t fly, Rarity can’t use magic!” Fluttershy stated that they can’t do the things they usual do from in Equestria, they are in a dimension where they are Dream Spirits.

“I hate to admit it Fluttershy, but I’m with Rainbow Dash on this.” Rarity sternly stated in feeling like the issue didn’t matter if they can’t do much of magic & flight. “NiGHTS is our friend & we can’t leave her in the state she’s in.” She declared that they must help NiGHTS as she was helping them.

“Well, I hate to leave NiGHTS to feel lonely, so…” Fluttershy spoke in having second thoughts about the subject. “Okay, I wanna help as much as I can.” She got determine that she’ll wanna help out as much as possible too.

“Then what are we waiting for, let’s go!” Rainbow Dash encourage her group that it’s time they get going.

So in having made a firm decision, the ponies begin to approach the new Door. There was an image of something above it that look like a picture of an aquatic theme. As Rainbow, Fluttershy & Rarity work together to pull open the double doors, a familiar white light & sparkling starry objects came out around them along with pretty butterflies. The opening scene felt nice & peaceful to them, but the ponies had to be ready & determine, they are about to go into a place to save a friend…they’ll pray that luck will be with them.

At this time, the scenery opens up to where the Door was standing as its structure & steps…on a sandy beach. From a look around, the beach seem beautiful, a calming breeze could be felt by the wind. There were also little purple ‘horns’ sticking out of the ground, sending little bubbles flying into the air. And coming out of the Door was Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy as they look around this beach area in surprise of landing here. Rainbow felt a bit strange here, it’s like being able to come to a place that’s an aqua theme; it puzzled her mind. Then the ponies were walking to observe to come near Owl who sat on a large rock & he was accompanied by strange cone-head shaped little creatures who seem sad.

“Oh my…this place…So this is Nightopia…” Rarity exclaimed in having seen what was around them. “The paradise created by the Ideya!” She could hardly believe all of this was made from the Ideya that she & her friends carry with them.

“It’s so pretty!” Fluttershy exclaimed to say, she never saw anything as pretty as this calm place.

“Ah, I knew that you three would come.” Owl nods in sounding please to see the ponies here have made it.

“Um…Owl? Hate to ask a different subject & all, but…Who are those little people?” Rainbow Dash asked off in seeing some of the cone-headed creatures hid behind Owl’s rock as if scared of something & not the ponies.

“Why, those are Nightopians! They’re the inhabitants of this place.” Owl wave off his left wing to introduce the cone-head creatures as the Nightopians that live this this world.

“Oh, hello there.” Fluttershy asked sweetly towards them, but they seem frighten. “Oh dear, did I do something wrong? They seem unwell.”

“No, dear Fluttershy, you did no harm at all.” Owl shook his head to say this. “Normally, they act rather bright & cheerful, but they must be very scared of the Nightmarens at this moment.” Owl explained that usual, the Nightopians are much brighter & happy, but they seem afraid because of some Nightmarens.

The Nightopians made little scary cries in sounding terrified & all they can do is hid away from the danger. Seeing this made the three ponies feel sorry for the little creatures.

“Oh…the poor things…” Rarity spoke in feeling sorry for the Nightopians, they saw just how bad Nightmarens can be, it’s no wonder these little guys are scared.

“We’ll help them out Rarity, but first things first, where can we find NiGHTS after that Reala guy took her?” Rainbow Dash stated to say this while focusing on a subject.

“Um, Owl….could maybe the Nightopians help us out? We be ever so grateful.” Fluttershy asked in thinking some help could be offered.

“According to them, NiGHTS is being held in that prison over there.” Owl flew up to the ponies in giving them the answer of what the Nightopians knew.

As Owl turn to look to his right, so did the ponies & there they saw a strange golden prison dome that seem connected by a chain to go up & down. And right inside that thing was NiGHTS.

“A rescue attempt will not be simple.” Owl stated off from seeing NiGHTS float in her prison, a Goodle on a pink gigantic bird are sat on top to guard the jester. “The key to require is guarded by the Nightmarens.” Owl inform the ponies that the one they are seeing, the Goodle, has the key to NiGHTS prison as the gigantic bird let off a squawk. “So, the problem is…” Owl was getting to this next state, but then without warning, Rainbow Dash was seen rushing off ahead during his explanation. “W-Wait! You mustn’t rush!” Owl warns Rainbow of doing something that dangerous to leap in without a plan.

“Typical Rainbow, but her loyalty to a friend is unshaken. Come along Fluttershy, she’ll need help.” Rarity shook her head in seeing Rainbow leave without thinking, but shrug off to know the Pegasus is loyal to help a friend in trouble & so they too must go.

“Oh, okay.” Fluttershy slowly responded in hearing that to nod in agreement.

Now Rarity & Fluttershy were seen running ahead to catch up to Rainbow Dash, just as the three ponies were near NiGHTS’s cage above them.

“NiGHTS! Hey, are you okay in there?” Rainbow Dash called out in trying to get NiGHTS in the prison to turn towards her & her friends.

“Rainbow Dash? Rarity? Fluttershy? What are you all doing here?” NiGHTS turn around to gasp a bit surprise that these three ponies were here in this world of Nightopia; did they come to help her out.

“Well we….um….that is…wanted to help you.” Fluttershy meekly spoke in trying to find words to say even during this moment. “But, I guess we don’t know if we can…” As Fluttershy look down in feeling like they don’t have a clue to help out, her front hooves along with Rainbow & Rarity’s glowed a familiar red color.

“Wait a minute! Is that a Red Ideya?” NiGHTS called out in spotting the red glow from the ponies as she knew what it was; the Ideya of Courage. “Okay, that Red Ideya is enough to take care of this cage.” NiGHTS grasp her right fist to look down at the gang with a hopeful smile in seeing what they brought can help her out of this prison. “Come on! Climb up here using that chain. Let’s show these guys we mean business!” NiGHTS asked forth in pointing to the chain below in where her friends can take & grasp her right hand in stating that once free, they can take care of the Nightmarens.

“Really? So we had a way to help after all?” Rarity look to her Red Ideya & smiled in feeling there was hope to be helpful in their state after all.

“Alright, hang tight. We’re on our way!” Rainbow Dash nods off with a smiling determination, time to help free NiGHTS & dish out a little payback.

With a nod from Rainbow’s pals, they quickly had to rush as fast as they could to get near the chain while collecting some Blue Chips. At the same time, the background was playing ’Sweeping Seashore’ for us to listen to. They made it to the chain before the Goodle guard could spot them & Rainbow started to climb up followed by Rarity & Fluttershy who kinda lack much physical department, but Rainbow had to tolerate it until they managed to all get inside the cage.

“Ready to Dualize?” NiGHTS asked off to those here that wanna get started.

“You bet!” Rainbow Dash responded in raring to go, & got a nod from Rarity & Fluttershy.

“Alright, then here goes…” NiGHTS issued off to say this in seeing it’s time to start a prison break.

Then NiGHTS began to soar around in the cage before Dualizing with Rainbow Dash in the center, & as a bright light flash over them, Rarity & Fluttershy were also taken in. And once over, NiGHTS escaped her cage to fly out with the pony spirits with Rainbow in control. As they zip off towards collect some Blue Chips & going through the golden orb rings, they saw the Goodle on the pink bird flying ahead.

“Listen, we need to take down all three of those Goodles!” NiGHTS issued this to the ponies with her in what their targets are.

“But why?” Fluttershy’s spirit asked in being curious.

“They have the keys, I need to hurry & get them keys to smash the prison to be truly free. Otherwise, our Dualize will be cancel & I’ll be back in a new cage. Plus, it’ll be higher & be a bit more challenging if they spot you.” NiGHTS explained the case of what happens if they don’t take down all three Key Keepers, then her freedom by Dualizing will be undone & be caged again.

“Then we better move fast!” Rarity’s spirit stated in knowing they must get moving to catch those guys.

“Leave it…to me!” Rainbow Dash’s spirit stated with a determine expression to go the distance.

Soon Rainbow Dash had to be in control of NiGHTS to give them a big boost lead to catch the first Key Keeper while getting many Blue Chips & going through some golden orb Rings & taking out some Seapos along the way. They were able to see much of this place that had much aqua theme, but seem like a garden to the ponies. Soon Rainbow had NiGHTS do a few extra Drill Dash moves when going through some Rings, & then finally caught the pink bird. And then NiGHTS grabbed the bird, & then in amazing strength, toss it down into some water geyser while it made its last screech before it vanished in defeat, leaving the jester to obtain the first key. With that done, Rainbow saw a chance to pick up more speed by bouncing into one geyser, which shot NiGHTS off like a rocket & they smashed through the prison the jester was in.

“One down, two to go, let’s try to catch the next one.” NiGHTS issued with a smile in seeing they took down one, two are left.

Soon Rainbow Dash controlled NiGHTS to go further through some Rings before making it through to ride on a crescent water stream shooting out from one geyser to the other. And out of it, NiGHTS was zipping across some place of built Roman style, some even were seen built to float above things with water going through them. From bouncing off of hidden springs after some loops to collect Blue Chips & go through golden Rings, NiGHTS was seeing another Goodle with a gigantic green bird as it held the next key. The jester was going through some obstacles to reach the target, but it was still ahead.

“Drat, I must have used too many Drill Dash moves.” Rainbow’s spirit cured in seeing they are still behind the next target.

“Darling, perhaps I can be some assistance, when it comes to elegance, I never fail to please.” Rarity’s spirit spoke in thinking she can help in this case.

“Okay, try to bag this one.” Rainbow’s spirit nods in deciding to let Rarity try to get this one if she’s got a plan.

Soon Rarity took control of NiGHTS’s body, as she used the jester to follow the Blue Chips & go through some of the circus setup performances to build up life & strength. But she also did the timing perfect to keep building & slowly was catching up to the target. Then as NiGHTS reach the Goodle, the jester bash the gigantic green bird & slam it to the ground. With a final screech, the green bird vanished into darkness along with the Goodle on it, & soon NiGHTS retrieved the key. And then from a bounce off action, bash against the second cage in the way, & soon completed the second key retrial.

“Not too shabby Rarity.” Rainbow’s spirit complimented her friend on the movement.

“Just one more to go!” NiGHTS declared in seeing they just gotta take down one more Key Keeper to end things.

Soon Rarity was having NiGHTS fly off around near some spiral coral mountain in the middle of a sandy beach while going through Rings & collecting Blue Chips. They heard squawking from another Goodle’s bird, & soon NiGHTS chase after it through a tunnel where they met with some windy obstacles. There were so many obstacles & pouring waters, the target was likely ahead, but it seem almost hard to see.

“Um, if it’s too much trouble, maybe I can help. I learn from a bat in how to be careful in narrow caves.” Fluttershy’s spirit spoke meekly in asking to help out in some sorta situation like this.

“You sure you’re up for the challenge Fluttershy?” Rainbow’s spirit asked in seeing that her shy friend might not be able to catch up when it comes to speed.

“Oh let’s give her a chance Rainbow. You can do it darling.” Rarity’s spirit encouraged Fluttershy that she can do it if she puts her mind to it.

“Right, I’ll do my best.” Fluttershy’s spirit nods in stating that she’ll give this one her best shot.

Soon Fluttershy was helping to guide through the cave in where there were waterfalls, but somehow managed to help steer NiGHTS through the waterfalls to find secret entrances where they slowly caught up to find the Goodle riding a blue gigantic bird. Passing the Rings & collecting Blue Chips, Fluttershy was slowly doing her best to make for good pace.

“Here goes…” Fluttershy declared forth in about to try something to help them out.

Then without warning, Fluttershy used NiGHTS to perform a Drill Dash move as they spin to clash against the Goodle, making it & the blue bird vanish away while snatching the key afterwards. Course Fluttershy did that while trying to control the flight as NiGHTS’s body went down a waterfall tunnel, & after collecting more Rings & Blue Chips, shot out of the mountain. And during the slight moment of freedom, Fluttershy was still trying to spin right from the escape, & then in a surprise twist, had NiGHTS smash & destroy the final cage that was in front of them, finally freeing the jester after taking out the three Key Keepers.

“Darling, you did it!” Rarity’s spirit declared in having seen what Fluttershy just managed to do.

“I did?” Fluttershy’s spirit asked in feeling almost surprised to realize the situation.

“Wow Fluttershy, that was kinda impressive!” Rainbow’s spirit complimented her friend in having done something close to being awesome.

“Nice work, with that, now I won’t be kept in any cage.” NiGHTS smiled to say this in seeing that from this help, she’s alright now.

Fluttershy began to lightly smile in being praise, it felt really nice since even without her Pegasus abilities, she can be useful sometimes too. But just then without warning, the world around them began to change as it was wobbling a bit & the color scenery changed to a red theme.

“Hey, why’s the sky looking all red? And why are we…wobbling?” Rainbow’s spirit asked off in seeing something weird was going on.

“Uh oh, you all better get ready. We’re about to run into some strong foe.” NiGHTS stated in getting serious to her spirit friends in noticing what was coming.

“Oh no! It’s not that other jester, is it?” Rarity’s spirit yelps in fearing they might be going against Reala.

“No, but it’ll be the next worse thing.” NiGHTS stated to say with a stern expression, this was not Reala, but something almost close in a matter of speaking.

“Gulp…it will be?” Fluttershy’s spirit swallowed hard in not liking the sounds of what they heard.

Then before anyone could ask another word, everything faded out of picture for now another threat was now about to make its appearance. During the same time, the background music was silently turn off for the drama effect to build in…

Suddenly, those with NiGHTS were seemingly warped from the world they were in to a new strange place that was an arena that look primarily like an underwater Colosseum. There it had stair-like seats for spectators to sit in, & pillars line up around the top. Giant candles lie around on the floor, & in the center is a giant pit full of collapsed rubble. Everything was all dark, dark green misty stuff around even in the clouds. There was also some background music called ‘Giant Girania’ playing during this place’s theme. But what was actually more frightful then the place was what was lying in wait when NiGHTS & her pony friends soon saw something come out of the double door like a red curtain opening & into the arena-like room, & was…SWIMMING AROUND IN THE COBBLESTONE FLOOR! It resembles a large piranha with a gladiator’s helmet, short catfish whiskers, curved front fins, & spines along his back & tail.

“Ick, what is that repulsive thing?” Rarity’s spirit gasped in disgust in seeing such a creature.

“That, would be Girania. He’s a Nightmaren. Hope many of you aren’t too hungry for fish at the time being!” NiGHTS exclaimed to tell her spirit friends of who it was that they are now facing here.

“Oh my, what does he want?” Fluttershy’s spirit asked in feeling a bit nervous all of a sudden.

“Easy answer, if this guy’s a Nightmaren, he’ll want US…FOR LUNCH!” Rainbow’s spirit remotely stated to answer that question to Fluttershy; giant fish beast will eat them, what else?

Soon Girania leaps out of the ground to prepare to eat NiGHTS, but Rainbow Dash took control to have them immediately escape while the giant fish destroyed two out of four pillars in the center of the room. NiGHTS was seen flying around in a circle formation around the area as the giant fish Nightmaren leaps up to get her again, but misses yet again. But not before destroying the last two pillars. Which at the same time, Girania disappears from sight while the scenery changes show another arena stage with four pillars & in the center with them was some lit dark emerald flame chandelier.

“What just happened? Everything changed?” Rarity’s spirit asked off in not knowing what just took place.

“That happened, listen…if we wanna survive, we need to get Girania to hit those pillars, all four of them.” NiGHTS spoke in trying to help explain this to her friends in what they need to do here to beat this Nightmaren.

“Is that to help weaken him?” Rainbow’s spirit asked in thinking they keep getting the big fish to hit those pillars.

“Sorta, it’ll help stall so we can try to break him apart.” NiGHTS shrug off to say in knowing that’s one way to plan out something else.

“What do you mean?” Fluttershy’s spirit asked in not knowing what it is they need to do here.

“It’s….hugh!” NiGHTS was about to say, but yelps too late in sensing what’s coming.

Then without warning, Girania resurfaces from jumping upwards & then opened its mouth before swallowing NiGHTS & the spirit ponies before diving into the ground. This look like the end before it has even begun, but…Girania was seen struggling to chew before it resurfaced to jump out & open its mouth…letting NiGHTS escape from the giant fish. While NiGHTS was mostly alright with only some little damage, her three spirit pony friends showed different reactions.

“Uuuuuaaaghhh….That was the most…DISGUSTING…Treatment I’ve ever been in!” Rarity’s spirit exclaimed to feel disgusted in being inside the mouth of that giant fish monster.

“Rarity, you’re a spirit & it was NiGHTS that got swallowed in.” Rainbow’s spirit rolled her eyes to remind her friend that they barely got messed up.

“What’s wrong, never got out from being fished before?” NiGHTS asked Rarity in sensing some tension there.

“Not with fish THAT big!” Rarity’s spirit protest to say this that she never had been by any giant fish, especially a Nightmaren.

“Listen, Girania likes to swim around before leaping out to catch his prey, we got lucky to survive, but we need to time our attack right. We need to hit him without being near the mouth, you follow?” NiGHTS explained the case to the three pony spirits in what to know about Girania & how they got to handle him.

“I think so, we’ll do whatever you want us to NiGHTS.” Fluttershy’s spirit responded off meekly to say without arguing who knows best how to fight.

Now the comeback begins here as NiGHTS was taken control by Rainbow Dash. As they flew, Girania soon leaps out, but impacts another of the pillars, giving NiGHTS the moment to perform a Drill Dash move on its face. Then once the attack landed, the big fish turn into a large group of multicolor spheres that seem kinda pretty.

“Wow, how pretty!” Fluttershy’s spirit responded to say in seeing such a pretty sight.

“Is it over?” Rarity’s spirit asked off if this was the end of their fight now.

“He hardly seem that big a deal.” Rainbow’s spirit smiled off in thinking this was a piece of cake.

“It’s not over yet, we’ll have to Paraloop as many as possible before he turns back into a fish.” NiGHTS explained the case of what they need to do if they truly wanna win this & get out of here.

Getting the idea, Rainbow moves NiGHTS to perform some paraloop which took away some of the multicolor spheres. But then without warning, a green fish form appeared & soon Girania return to its old self before diving in. But as it swam, there was a noticeably difference…it was smaller than before.

“Did it just shrink?” Rainbow’s spirit asked off in seeing what just happened to Girania just now.

“Yes, for every one of those we snatch, he’ll get smaller & smaller.” NiGHTS pointed out in what they get when they take away those spheres to make the giant fish.

“Then allow me to aid, I want to pay it back for trying to eat us!” Rarity’s spirit issued this firmly in wanting to get even with their enemy.

Deciding to let Rarity’s anger out, Rainbow let the mare spirit take control of NiGHTS. Soon NiGHTS flew around & went through some green Rings to build up strength, before Girania almost tried to eat the jester. But it ram right against another pillar to leave only one left standing. This made Rarity take a shot & soon NiGHTS did the Drill Dash on the big fish’s forehead to turn it back into multicolor spheres. NiGHTS was moving as quickly as possible to collect many more before Girania resemble itself, & now the Nightmaren dive back in only to be seen no bigger than the jester’s full body size to compete.

“Now it’s only as small as some bigger guppy!” Rainbow’s spirit rolled her eyes to quote off in mentioning this here fact.

“Yes, but now it won’t be stop if it hits any pillars.” NiGHTS stated in noticing that with a smaller size, Girania can’t hit any pillars to be slowed down.

“Fluttershy, do you have any advice when dealing with jumping fish?” Rarity’s spirit asked her friend that was good with animals for any useful aid.

“Well yes I do, I can tell where Mr. Fish jumps & where he’ll land.” Fluttershy’s spirit stated in having the best knowledge in how a fish performs its jumps from water.

“Then get ready, you’re about to sink this bad boy right out of the lake.” NiGHTS exclaimed to say this with a smile on her face.

Soon Fluttershy was given control to move NiGHTS as they were flying through green Rings while preparing for the next attack. Then the small Girania leaps up to almost eat the gang, until Fluttershy time a right Drill Dash to impact on the evil fish’s forehead, causing it to implode into multicolor spheres scattered. Fluttershy knew she had to be as fast as Rainbow Dash & it was easy with NiGHTS’s help as she did the last few Paraloops on the remaining spheres, causing a portal to suck them all in before…they were all gone. They have done it, they have defeated Girania. And at that same moment, the song played ‘Peaceful Moment’ as if signaling NiGHTS & friends win.

“Alright! Fish-face is outta here!” Rainbow’s spirit cheered in seeing that they just beat the big bad fish.

“Ho-ho, I do say, that was rather…thrilling!” Rarity chuckled a bit in having found herself to…enjoy doing that; what a stress relief.

“Well done girls, even if you three have different personalities, you work really well together.” NiGHTS smiled to give praise to these ponies for having done well. “And even you played a part to help out Fluttershy, nice timing in knowing where & how he leap.” She complimented the yellow Pegasus pony for doing a swell job on her part.

“Oh, um…thank you. So…is that it?” Fluttershy smiled meekly and shyly in being raised, but wonder if that was all.

“Well for now, he’s gone, but don’t let it discourage any of you. Come on, let’s get ready to head back to Dream Gate.” NiGHTS issued off to say this that it’s over for now, but there’s still much to come, but not for a while & during so, they can try to leave the place now.

With that much relief to hear, the nightmare-version of the world began to slip out of existence. Now this group was gonna leave & be sent back to the Dream Gate, better than sticking around this fishy scenery. And with that, everything begins to fade out at this very moment and in time…

Now we find Rainbow Dash, Rarity & Fluttershy falling gently from the starry skies as they soon return to the Dream Gate. When they return, they moved ahead into the place while noticing they were no longer Dualize with NiGHTS & the jester wasn’t around after the defeat of Girania. But as soon as the ponies managed to get in, guess who decided to fly up near them than Owl of which the gang wondered what he was up to since they last saw him before the rescue of NiGHTS.

“Well done, well done!” Owl complimented these three ponies in achieving a grand feat. “I witness your battle. You three truly proven yourselves worthy of the Ideya of Courage that you each have!” Owl spoke highly of these three in performing admirably in their battle against Girania.

“Well…I…um, we mean…I was just…” Fluttershy was a bit flabbergasted in being uncertain as she didn’t feel like she did much of anything.

“Come on darling, you did get the last hit in.” Rarity spoke to give Fluttershy a little more boost in self-confidence from what happened to defeat Girania.

“Yeah I call it a win. So, Owl’s right about us.” Rainbow Dash brag off in thinking that they were truly worthy folks.

“But wait, dear friends! It is still too early to celebrate.” Owl issued off to shake his head with a serious face, it’s too early to count this as a moment to relax.

“Say what?” Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow in confusion, what’s this about now?

“Allow me to explain. All Visitors originally possess a total of five different Ideya.” Owl explains this matter as it was flapping his wings to go around the ponies to tell them of this. “Fortunately, you’ve at least managed to hold on to your own self-respected Ideya of Courage.” Owl proclaimed in knowing Rainbow, Rarity & Fluttershy hold a matter of the Red Ideya that help them out. “The remaining four are the Ideya of Purity, Intelligence, Growth, and Hope.” Owl explains the last four to the ponies of those that they are not currently in possession of. “They are White, Blue, Green & Yellow, respectively.” He explained the different colors of the other four Ideya to the group here.

“Oh my, so there really are five?” Fluttershy lightly gasped in hearing this as this surprise her about the Ideyas of the Night Dimension.

“Yes, it sounds intriguing…I too wonder about them myself?” Rarity spoke to herself in being the more near intellectual of the group with Twilight not here; as she thinks the Ideya felt familiar, like portions of the Elements of Harmony were contain in them.

“So the point is, if you can retrieve them all, then peace will be restored to Nightopia!” Owl declared that if these ponies collect all five of their Ideya, they can save Nightopia. “For you see, Ideya are the very course of Nightopia. The fact that Nightopia currently exists at all…means that the other Ideya must be someplace in this world, most likely hidden!” Owl was explaining the big deal that without Ideya from Visitors, then there would be no creation of Nightopia or life of what’s to come from them & they are somewhat hidden at this time.

“I see…guess they sound important, hugh?” Rainbow Dash nods in understanding the subject of the discussion.

“Listen well, Visitors.” Owl soon came up to Rainbow, Rarity & Fluttershy’s faces, making them yelp a bit while he begins to speak seriously. “These Ideya are of your very heart. Each & every one of you. Retrieve the remaining four Ideya & your hearts will win out over the Nightmare.” Owl explained the case that if these ponies can obtain their last four Ideya, then they can defeat those from the realm of Nightmare.

“You mean…we can help save everyone, if we find them?” Fluttershy asked off in thinking of what the owl was meaning by his words.

“Kinda reminds us of an old quest we did with our pals, but we’re game.” Rainbow Dash shrug off to recall something before smiling on the topic.

“We understand, Owl…but, what do you expect us to do? I can’t use my magic here & my friends can’t even fly.” Rarity lightly nods in understanding the situation, but she asked in how she & her friends can help when they are helpless without their own magic & even wing support.

“You needn’t worry. NiGHTS is with you. All of you.” Owl calmly and wisely spoke in stating that those here have nothing to fear, so long as NiGHTS is there to help them out. “And I will do what I can to keep an eye on you three & help you out to the best of my abilities.” He stated that he shall watch over these ponies & help them if they need something only he can give.

Before the ponies could ask anything else, Owl suddenly vanished out of thin air like a warp teleportation move. Fluttershy & Rarity seem concern about things as they stand, but Rainbow’s go-to attitude help liven up their group to know that they can’t give up. And so they all put on determine expressions, & nod in knowing what they should do.

“So…what should we do now?” Fluttershy asked in not knowing what they do from here.

“Try to see more of that other place we came from & find any of those Ideyas be my first idea!” Rainbow Dash issued forth in what they can do in order to be more helpful now.

“Why Rainbow, that is a very good idea. If they are hidden, maybe one of them is in that place.” Rarity smiled to say this by surprise, her friend thought up of a good idea there.

“Yeah, plus…I can’t explain it…but that world seems…calling to me.” Rainbow Dash ponder to say that the Nightopia they went to, that place…she feels something for it but is not clear on what.

“No stranger than if one Ideya felt like portions of the Elements of Harmony, then getting all five together is a top priority.” Rarity stated to say that for certain, the Ideya have a small portion of their elements, maybe if they find them together, something can happen.

“But can we do it by ourselves?” Fluttershy asked in wondering if they’ll be alright to handle this.

“Like Owl said, NiGHTS will be with us, so let’s move it!” Rainbow Dash smiled off to remind her friend of what was explained to them already, they have NiGHTS to help them out.

Hearing that made the other two nod in agreement. And one their minds were set, they collected a few Blue Chips to prepare to head over to the Door they went through to find the missing Ideya. Course when they got up, they saw another Door appeared nearby and they were curious of when that happened.

“Hello there, everyone!” NiGHTS soon floated down to make a little greeting to the others. “I see you came across the new Door.” She pointed out the new Door in question that seem different.

“Yeah, but what is it?” Rainbow Dash asked off in not knowing about the place itself.

“It leads to a place called…My Dream. A Place we’re you can recover your strength & help it grow to become a place of your own dream.” NiGHTS explained in what sorta place My Dream is, a place where those can help make it grow into a place of their own paradise.

“Really, we can do that?” Fluttershy asked in starting to like the sounds of this.

“But what about helping to find the Ideya?” Rarity asked in recalling they have an important task to still do.

“Don’t worry about it, you all need to recover much of yourselves since you are Dream Spirits, don’t worry, this place can help out & when you’re ready…we’ll continue our adventures.” NiGHTS explained that such a thing can be done, but one needs rest, especially those that are Dream Spirits that need their strength after what they been through today.

“Well, I don’t normally miss out, but…I suppose if this place is where we can help make it cooler, I’ll bite.” Rainbow Dash thought for a moment before deciding to roll with it.

Rarity & Fluttershy nod in agreement, & soon they approach the special Door. They open it up to where light shine out & they soon were able to enter a brand new place. But as they went off, NiGHTS was alone to smile & nod at seeing them head in.

“For the second group of Visitors, they handle alright. Hopefully, everything can be alright…” NiGHTS issued off to say this, knowing that Rainbow’s group weren’t the ONLY ones she has seen. “The My Dream place has separate worlds for any Visitor, or in the least…for a group. It’ll help one group recover & allow me to help them along the way…” She explained the properties of how My Dream is a place that exist for separate Visitors to handle themselves, so Rainbow’s party & that of another don’t mix it seems.

With that, NiGHTS floated off to journey across the skies of the starry night. Hoping that whoever comes out, the jester will be there to help out… As the scene darkens at this time now…

The scene opens to the realm that was…My Dream, as the place was the same from Twilight & her group’s visit, only this one came with some things like the purple tubes that blew bubbles & other aqua theme stuff. As Rainbow’s group exit from the Door, they saw how lovey it was, a few Nightopians that were happily enjoying it & from the far left side…a small amount of Nightmarens, like the Seapos.

“Wow, this is the My Dream place?” Fluttershy wowed at this place in awe.

“Why, there are little Nightopians here.” Rarity smiled in seeing the Nightopians here.

“And a few of them Seapos. Looks like we’ll have our work cut out here.” Rainbow Dash stated in seeing what else was here that needs to be cleared out.

“Oh, maybe these can help.” Fluttershy pointed to tubes that had stuff to feed Nightopians, but repelled Nightmarens; coincidence, right?

“Nice find Fluttershy. Nightmaren Repellent stuff, I’ll take over that gig!” Rainbow Dash smiled in taking the stuff to help out the most.

“Well, I can help feed the Nightopians, um…if that’s okay.” Fluttershy smiled meekly to say this in what she can do.

“Indeed darling & maybe I can help set somethings up. After all, if we’re going to be relaxing here, this place needs to be fantastic!” Rarity boldly spoke in saying what she’ll be doing at this time.

“There she goes with her fashion sense.” Rainbow rolled her eyes in having heard Rarity’s claim of what she’ll do, being a fashionista & all.

“Good luck with that Rarity. We’ll do our best to help too.” Fluttershy smiled to say this to her friend in what they can all do.

“Thank you darlings, now let’s make this place perfect for us all to enjoy, shall we?” Rarity smiled off to say this in deciding it’s time to settle up & make this place their own dream wonderland.

“Right!” Rainbow & Fluttershy replied off in agreement, time to turn this up & get the place ship-shape.

Soon the ponies split into three parts to handle this new area. Rainbow was handling the little Nightmarens that would cause problems, Fluttershy happily was making friends with the Nightopians, & Rarity was thinking up ways to really wow this place. It would take a little time & work, but then they can relax from much dangerous threats & all that. Until then, they shall regain their strength before joining with NiGHTS on finding their Ideya… Only time will tell in what adventures will start with these three here…
