Nightmare Night...Vortex Master Style.
Chapter 1: Tex and Tek, Negative Energy Eradicators

October 31, 2015, 10:47 PM
Northern Ghastly Gorge, TexTek Equestian Hangar
Tex's office.

The Hangar was a simple location, not quite as advanced as the main station, but enough to prepare for trouble when it's there. The office was also very simple. A few paintings hung across the walls, an orange carpet across the floor, a few chairs, and a desk with a clock, a monitor, and even a Newton's Cradle. It wasn't as fancy as the other Hangars across the Seven Systems, but it will do.

The occupant of the office was Doctor Vohr T. Tex. A Hacandrean who was sent to Equestria to eradicate the Negative Energy that was deemed a threat. He goes in many forms, but his current form is that of an orange Pegasus. Orange fur with a yellow-orange mane and tail, with blue markings all over his body. He wasn't a normal Pegasus by any means. He did have the power of flight, but he can also perform magic with his Temsik Fragment, which is the cause of the markings on him. He wears a red suit with a white tie, and lastly, the Metamorphosizer, a watch which also acts as a radar and a way to transform his body.

He was packing up to go to Pinkie's party. He didn't want to miss all the fun activities she would most likely be hosting. After he gathered his stuff, he walked toward the door. As he was about to open it, it suddenly swung open right in his face. A light blue Pegasus was standing in the doorway. He had a brown mane and tail, and was wearing a lab coat.

"Doc?" he called. "Doc, where are you?"

"Right here..." Tex responded, a little dizzy from getting smacked in the face by a door. "What do you need, Tek?"

Professor Tek Nique was the owner of DTI (Drew Tech Industries) named after his human form. He and Doc had been friends for years.

"Oh, there you are!" he said. "We have a TINY problem."

Tex and Nique went down to the main computer, where a red flashing light blared on top. There were words on the screen, saying "WARNING! WARNING! LARGE QUANTITIES OF NEGATIVE ENERGY LOCATED AT: PONYVILLE GRAVEYARD!

"Ponyville Graveyard?" Tex asked. "Why there?"

Prof. didn't say anything, but switched the screen to a view of one of the graves. It was broken and shattered, with a hole in the ground in front of it. The screen then performed a scan, which showed large spots on the ground and the grave that there had been Negative Energy Contact.

"So...zombies?"

"No," Nique replied. "We have reason to believe that someone has created an Abstract Construct." Tex said nothing, so he saw that as a sign to continue. "If we have a look at the photo here, we can see that the ground was broken through from the inside. I have read that Abstract Constructs can be formed anywhere. So, if you have an Abstract Construct, and are trying to dig up a dead body, where would you form it?"

Tex responded with a little hesitation. "Inside the grave, where Negative Charges are most powerful..."

"Exactly! Someone used Negative Energy to break a body out of it's grave. Now, who it was or for what reason, we cannot pinpoint."

"Well, there is ONE man crazy enough to do that..."

They both finished that sentence with "Shadow Tex!"

"UGH!" Tex grunted. "Why must he be such a pain in the flank?"

"Well," Nique responded. "You DO know that he is the general of the Dark Army and will stop at nothing to see both you and the Vortex Masters dead, don't you?"

Tex was silent.

"Exactly what I thought. Now then, you'd better get packing for a new mission. It looks like a LONG night ahead."

"But what about the party?" Tex asked his friend.

"Later, Tex. Now, to get to the graveyard. Make sure that your communicator is functioning properly."

Tex inputted some commands into his watch, confirming it with a "Got it!" Then, he walked to the door.

"I'll be back soon." He said with confidence. I hope...

The door slowly opened with a loud creak. As he stepped through, the door behind him slid shut, the rocky cliff camouflage working wonders. He flew off into the evening sky.

All that was left...was a chilling wind...
