Chapter 9: The Return Part 2 (Final)
As Rhino and Excalibur prime meditated in another room. Rhino Prime Detected a small build up of void energy.
“Excalibur?” I asked.
“Yes Rhino?” Excalibur replied.
“There’s a build up of void energy right in front of us, we better get out before it explodes.” I said.
“I totally agree.” He replied as we both ran towards Hakkar and the elements.
Once there I shouted “Everyone behind me now!” and casted Iron Skin.
“Why? What’s wrong?” Twilight asked.
“There’s a build up of void energy.” I said.
“Ooooo… That is bad if that get’s too big we're all goners.” Hakkar said.
“Whaat? I can’t fail now! My test just began!” Twilight cried out.
“Let’s just hope it doesn't get too big.” I said. As I said that the Void energy build up just disappeared. “What…it just disappeared...that doesn't usually happen.” I said.
“Yeah unless it’s a void teleportation device which is mostly used with Kubrows.” Hakkar said.
“What’s a Kubrow?” Twilight asked.
“It’s a dog some Tenno have, those Tenno have them by their side at all times, in battle, or simply just resting at the relays.” Excalibur said. “Oh I Forgot to mention I own a Kubrow named Crystal.” He said.
“You could have told be before Excalibur.” I said annoyed that he didn’t tell me about his Kubrow. I kept watching the spot where Excalier and I came from and after a few seconds a Kubrow came out Which was a Sunika class Kubrow with a Prime collar. The Kubrow has a plain white fur with a black snout, also standing at 6 feet tall and 5 feet long.
The Kubrow went over to the side of Excalibur but suddenly walks over to si by Fluttershy’s side.
“Never seen that happen before but I’m glad that she can make another friend.” Excalibur said.
“Hi there what’s you’re name?” Fluttershy said. The Kubrow responded with a few barks.
“Oh my I can’t understand her, this never happened to me before.” Fluttershy said as she began to sniffle. The kubrow Noticed Fluttershy’s sadness and began nuzzling her.
“Her name is Crystal.” Excalibur said.
“Thank you.” Fluttershy said.
“Your welcome.” Excalibur replied.
“Well I’m heading back to meditate.” I said.
“Well I’m having a wonderful time with the girls right now.” Hakkar said.
“Okay Well have a good time everyone come and get me when we arrive.” I said as I went to meditate again.
“I’ll be doing the same.” Excalibur said.
“Alright see you two later.” Twilight said.
“Yup” Excalibur replied as he closed a door that led into our temporally meditation room.
-Train station at the Frozen North.-
Once everyone left the train the two Tenno drew their ranged weapons Rhino with his Boltor Prime and Excalibur to his Vectis Prime.
“Wow this is welcoming indeed.” Excalibur said.
“Yes but sadly the cold has damaged our shields down to half leaving me with 625 shields left.” I said.
“Yes that's the worst part about this temperature. Giving me the same amount of shields.” Excalibur said.
“Mine dropped down to 150 shields same with my sentinel's.” Hakkar said as he pointed to his sentinel which was a Carrier Prime.
As soon we stopped complaining I heard a voice coming from the blizzard that was going on a few feet in front of us. I think I heard the voice say “Twily is that you?” but not so sure as it was a bit muffled.
“Shining Armor?” Twilight shouted.
“Twily! You made it! We'd better get moving. There are things out here we really don't want to run into after dark.” Shining Armor said.
“Why are you in such a hurry?” Twilight asked.
“Let's just say the Empire... isn't the only thing that's returned.” He Replied.
“That doesn’t sound good.” Excalibur said.
“I don’t like that either.” I said as we started walking towards the Empire.
As we almost made it to the empire which was covered by a pink bubble we heard a howl that sounded dark and menacing.
“Time for a fight then, the 8 of you go to the empire me and Excalibur will hold whatever made that sound back for a while, that's also goes for you Hakkar you can’t take a hit out here in the cold.” I said.
“All right let’s go” Hakkar said but unsurprisingly Shining Armor stayed with us.
“What are you still doing here I told you to go.” I shouted.
“Not leaving you two here alone, this is my fight also.” He replied.
“Fine but you need to know your a very stubborn pony.” I said.
“I get that a lot.” Shining Armor said.
“Here...they come???” Excalibur shouted as Dark fog came in, two menacing eyes of green and red with purple like smoke coming from the edges of the eyes. As the eyes stared at us many more eyes opened of just blue lines some yellow eyes any you can’t really call them eyes but read and green lights coming from the smoke.
“Wow those eyes they remind me of Corpus, Grineer, and Infested…”Excalibur said.
“Yeah a lot…” I said that's when we heard the way to familiar screech then all hell broke loose.
Gunfire from the Corpus and Grineer while the infested charged us. By then we had to use our melee weapons to defend ourselves me with my Galatine and Excalibur with his Scindo Prime, and Shining Armor using a iron sword he had. We fought until they were too much for us to handle so we had to retreat but we managed to eliminate the Infested and half of the Grineer forces leaving the Corpus army unharmed but unfortunately Sombra also join the fight, disabling Shining Armor’s ability to use magic.
We made it behind the magic barrier mostly unharmed. Of course us Tenno didn’t get harmed but I was talking about Shining Armor and also thankfully Crystal’s shields were bumped up.
“Shining!!! What happened to your horn?” Twilight asked as we entered the barrier.
“Huh?” He replied before seeing his horn and trying to cast a spell but failing. “I’ll be alright Twily.” He said.
“Are you sure?” Twilight asked.
“Yes Twily i’m sure” He replied.
“I’m sorry to cut the reunion but we have to find a way to save this empire before Sombra gets his hooves on it.” I spoke.
“It’s okay but you're right let’s get going!” Twilight said as she turned around and followed Shining Armor towards the gigantic castle that stood in the middle of the city so the rest of us followed her.
We made it inside and Twilight and Cadence did a weird dance thing and then greeted each other and some other chatting before we got to the important part. At Least for us Tenno.
“So how are we going to save this Empire?” Shining Armor asked.
“Well this is a part of my test so...OOOOOOoohhhh I get it a research paper! I’ll have to deliver a research paper to you, Oh this is so much fun!” Twilight Said.
“And us three can provide the fighting force against Sombra I can also have my Dojo shield this place until Twilight gets whatever she is doing done.” I said.
“That would actually be nice if you could shield this place.” Princess Cadence said.
“Alright let me just contact Vauban up at the Dojo.” I replied.
“Please do so” She replied and to which I nodded.
I got in contact with Vauban up there can told him all the specifics of the shielding which he said he can make it work then I told him to wait until further notice.
“All right Cadence You can drop your shield when you're ready.” I replied.
“Alright in three, one, two, three” She said and with that she let her shield drop.
“Alright Vauban Light the shield up” I spoke to Vauban over the coms.
“K” What was I got in return. ‘Nice job at trying to be cool...or were you just lazy I wonder’ I thought to myself as a bright blue dome formed over the Crystal Empire.
“There The empire’s shielded by a station grade shielding.” I said.
“Thank you Rhino Prime” Princess Cadence said.
“Please just call me prime and you're welcome.” I replied.
She nodded towards me and said “Alright i’m going to rest now.” So she left towards her chambers.
“So that leaves me to look after the Crystal empire.” Shining Armor said.
“Yeah But I got a defense to set up, Hakkar take Excalibur's Vectis Prime and snipe from that balcony and Excalibur you can take my spare Soma.” I said and a few minutes later they did what they asked. “Alright Excalibur you're with me as the main fighting force against sombra if he get’s through the shield.” I said.
“Alright boss.” He replied.
“Looks like you had everything planned out.” Shining Armor said.
“Yeah i just hope I can help defend the empire and everything will go as planed.” I said.
“Don’t worry I’ve got a few guards here that's willing to help.” He replied.
“Thanks I’m going to keep that in mind.” I said before Twilight came in.
“We found a book that depicts a crystal fair that’s used to power up a Crystal fair by the power of Love. This Crystal Heart is used to protect the Empire from the forces of evil but if evil takes hold the heart becomes Corrupt.” Twilight said.
“Then I suggest that you get started on that then.” I said.
“That’s what I was going to say but anyway see you all when we have saved the empire.” Twilight said.
So they went to set the fair up and Shining Armor, Excalibur, Hakkar and I went over what we are facing. A few hours passed before Twilight and the rest of her gang came rushing in.
“We have a problem a very big problem.” Twilight shouted.
“What is it? Is it Sombra?” I asked.
“No the crystal heart it’s an actual relic!” She said as she looked through her book. “How did I not see there was a page missing!!! How Stupid of me!!” She shouted.
“And How do we find this heart?” I asked.
“I’ll go and search for it while my friends keep the fair going.” Twilight said.
I was going to reply before I saw a black magic bolt fly towards the Dojo and hit the shield emitter disabling the shield.
“And it looks like Excalibur, Hakkar, and I are going to be fighting.” I said.
“Okay Good luck.” Twilight said.
“Thanks and let the void be with you on your search.” I replied.
And with that we went to our spots Hakkar on the balcony and Excalibur and I down at the courtyard waiting for the attacker and so they came in huge numbers.
Grineer, Corpus and invested came rushing towards us but they stopped suddenly as a dark smoke formed a shape of a pony, more like a unicorn with a red tip it’s then we realized it was Sombra. Sombra came out and spoke. “So it’s you two who kept me from regaining my Empire.”
“First it’s not your empire and second we're not the only ones here to defend the empire from you.” I replied.
“All right but that doesn't matter my minions will rid of you and those others for me, have fun” He replied before disappearing into the shadows with a laugh you would hear from a mad person.
And after that all hell broke lose Corpus and Grineer shot at us as some fell to Hakkar’s Sniping and the infested? They did what they do charge us and tried to kill us. They surrounded us as the came we managed to rid us of the infested quickly and we slowly began to cut down the Grineer and Corpus forces. Excalibur had to take cover a few times to let his shields recharge before coming back to fight but I just casted my Iron skin before they could damage my health. After a while Grineer and Corpus corpses littered the street which got Sombra to appear once again.
“So you managed to defeat my minions how skilled of you.” Sombra spoke.
“Oh please Excalibur and I have faced worse than what you sent at us.” I replied.
“Alright then i’ll just fight you two myself.” He said as he launched himself at us. The fight went on for a while but he managed to get us down to a hundred health points each. He began to laugh before speaking “You two actually fight good for deformed ponies, so i’m going to offer you two an offer.” He said.
“Yeah and what is that?” I asked.
“You two become my generals in my army and i’ll let you live in fortune and power and have mares beyond your comprehension.” He said.
“Us Tenno already have what you said and us Tenno do not need to have many mares.” I replied.
“Are you sure i’ll even make sure your family aren’t harmed either” He said as he teleported in a cage which held Quick Strike, Red Rose and Blue Sky. “Daddy!!! Help Us!!!” Red Rose shouted as she saw me.
This blew my top “I don’t know if you know this but us Tenno we stick by each other side and those who we care about to our deaths.” I said.
“That is True we stick together we are brothers in arms.” Excalibur said as he came over to my side as I let out a roar then using my stomp ability lifting Sombra up leaving him open for a Slash Dash ability by Excalibur which he did slicing Sombra in half.
I went over to my cadged family and broke apart the cage setting my Family free. We hugged each other for a while before Hakkar came and joined in on the hug. We heard screaming coming from above we went out from under the castle where we ended up in our battle, and look up where we saw spike falling with something in his arms. I realized that I had to catch him so I ran up the side of the castle, then jumped out to the side and caught Spike mid air, landing on the ground sending a shockwave out from the hard landing I set Spike down on the ground. As I did so the rest of the ponies made it over to me including Princess Cadence. Princess cadence got the Crystal heart from spike and told the ponies around to feed love to it which let this wave out healing the wounds Excalibur and I gained and removing all the death and destruction that happened here.
“Wow that is some powerful magic they have…” I said to no one in particular.
“Yeah… But I would like to know how they manage to do so I might just talk with Twilight about this.” Hakkar replied.
“But anyways i’m going to go rest it’s been a long day for me it’s also getting dark.” I said.
“Cadence were may I rest for the night with my family?” I asked Cadence.
“Oh just ask a guard to take you to your room and there you can rest.” She replied.
“That you.” I said. So I went and did what I was told and no i’m laying in bed cuddling my family to sleep.
“So is that what you do for a living hun? Kind of reminds me of a more pumped up job of being a Royal Guard at times.” Quick Strike said.
So yeah I have told the kids about my adventures of being a Tenno each Quest i’ve been on and other missions.
“Yes you can say that, but it’s about time we got some shut eye the kids already got the right idea.” I said as I look at the sleeping fillies between me and Quick Strike.
“Yeah I think your right, sleep well hun.” Quick Strike said.
“Sleep well.” I replied.
So the day ended peacefully most of the ponies in bed couples snuggling each other to bed and Twilight? Well she’s having a great time explaining magic to Hakkar who is confused as ever. Oh let’s check up on Vauban and his repairs.
Vauban floated out in space grumbling to himself about the extra work he has to do now because of the weird black energy bolt destroyed the shield emitter. He finally let out his rage in a shout. “CURSE YOU RHINO PRIME!!!!!!”
