//------------------------------// // Time For the Ending Sonata Dusk // Story: The New Adventures of Sonata Dusk // by The Forgotten Siren //------------------------------// Days soon became weeks, then months before years had gone bye in a blink of an eye. A lot had happened over the course of five years, after the events of Food Critic, Mr. Rutherford, had came bye the taco restaurant. Business for Ms. Crystalis boomed dramatically over the years as her restaurant became number one taco place in the whole city. Sonata Dusk became not only the chef, but assistant manager to boot. The Wiccian sisters, Draggle and Reeka, became top cooks, thanks to the help of Sonata. Cashier Tree Hugger was replaced by Mr. K Grundel, after she found another job as a full time yoga instructor. As for the Kitchen help, the jobs were given to the other Grundels that Mr. K Grundel knew. Pinkie Pie on the other hand, became the manager of Mr. and Ms. Cupcake bakery shop, after the couple had moved to a new location. Both Sonata and Pinkie moved out of their apartment and into the bake shop’s top floor in what was the Cakes room. Both girls love remained strong throughout the years. There was some good times and even bad times, but in the end, they till loved each other deeply. Present day It was a nice Saturday evening, and Sunset, along with Adagio, decided to take Pinkie Pie and Sonata Dusk out to dinner at La French Restaurant to celebrate the two girls fifth anniversary together. As the four girls were enjoying their meal, Sunset wiped her mouth and looked at Pinkie Pie who was gulping her food down with a fork. “So, hows your business Pinkie?” Sunset asked, grabbing her tea to drink. Pinkie looked up with some rice on her cheeks. The pink girl soon swallowed and smiled. “Oh, its absolutely funner-rific. Today, I baked a wedding cake for Cranky and Matilda.” “That sounds great. I know they will love it.” Sunset said being happy for her friend.. “A wedding cake?” Adagio questioned as she started to think. “Yeah Adagio, a wedding cake. Like what you and Sunny had at your wedding, but this cake was butter cream and not red velvet like yours, remember?” Sonata replied. Adagio face palmed. “Yes, I know what a wedding cake is Sonata.” Adagio told the blue siren. “Then why did you say it like you didn’t know what it was?” Sonata asked. Adagio was rather annoyed by her silly blue siren friend. But what Pinkie said made her think about her and Sonata. For while, both Adagio and Sunset have wondered if Sonata and Pinkie would ever get married. The yellow siren looked up at Sonata. “I asked... Because I was wondering.” Adagio hesitated for a moment before finishing her sentence. “You two been together for five years right?” She asked. Both Pinkie and Sonata smiled brightly as they said yes in perfect unison. Sunset looked at Adagio with a little concern. “Dagi, do you think you should ask?” Adagio looked at her lover. “Why not?” She questioned. “All I wanted to know if they thought about marriage.” “Oh, we did” Pinkie replied. Both Sunset and Adagio looked at Pinkie with confusion. “You have?” Sunset asked. “When?” Adagio followed. “For two years hehe” Sonata replied with a smile. Both Sunset and Adagio were rather confused as to why they didn’t act on it. They had the money to buy a ring and even afford a decent wedding. On top of that, they by all means loved each other more then life itself. “So why didn’t you two get married than?” Adagio asked. “Because, we don’t know anything about getting married.” Pinkie replied with a straight face. “But Pinkie, you done many wedding cakes and even went to weddings. What do you mean, you don’t know?” Sunset questioned. “Yeah, but I don’t know what its all about.” Pinkie confessed. “I mean, my mom and dad been married for fifty years, but I don’t understand what to do in a marriage.” she said as she looked confused. “Marriage and friendship are different aren’t they?” Sunset smiled at her friend as she placed her hand on Adagio’s hand. “You do the same thing your doing now. Marriage is just like friendship, but romantic instead of platonic.” “Yes, marriage is just a piece of paper that states you two are in this forever.” Adagio commented. “Nothing has to change in a marriage.” “For realzies?” Sonata asked cutely. “ I thought marriage was when you sale your daughter to a man and...” The blue siren was cut off before she could finish. “For the last time, that was in the past Sonata.” Adagio stated, annoyed she had to repeat herself for a tenth time. “So wait, so we can get MARRIED!!!?” Pinkie asked with a shout, making the woman behind her annoyed. “Yes.” Sunset replied with a smile. Both Pinkie and Sonata gasped and looked at each other with a smile. “You wanna get married?” They both asked each other. They both said yes then giggled and hugged each other. “But you will need a ring.” Adagio pointed out. Both Sonata and Pinkie looked with a shock on their face. “Oh no, we don’t have a ring.” Pinkie said. Sunset chuckled. “Don’t worry, Rarity can help you two tomorrow.” The next day Rarity took Sonata and Pinkie to get a ring from the Jewelry Store. The fashoinista took both girls to one store that a friend told her about called “Prince Jewelry.”Rarity figured it was a good of a time as any to go check out the place and see if it was worth while. As Rarity opened the door she soon found herself filled to the brim with absolute disgust. Her skin crawled as she saw BlueBlood working the counter. He was a boy that she liked back in high school, but after one hour with him, Rarity found out the one thing Blueblood loved was himself. She walked to the counter, not looking away from the one man she despised most. However, Blueblood didn’t seem to notice her, or Pinkie and Sonata giggling as they walked in. He was focused on looking at himself in a silver plated mirror while smiling like a jackass. As they got to the counter, both Pinkie and Sonata pressed their faces on the glass looking at all the rings and pointing on which ones looked pretty. After five seconds of looking, both girls said they found a ring at the same time in perfect harmony. Rarity was snapped out of her trance, and looked away from the slithering snake that she wanted to cut.“Well, which one darlings?” She asked with a smile. Sonata and Pinkie pointed at a small diamond ring with a silver band. Rarity looked at the ring with a disappointed look on her face.”Um... why that one?” She asked rather confused. “Because it looks like a cupcake.” Pinkie squeed. “And Sona is my special cupcake.” She added, hugging Sonata with a smile. “Thats sweet and all sweetie, but..” Rarity hesitated. “But what?” Sonata asked? “But, darling, its so small. This is suppose to be a wedding ring.” Rarity explained. “The ring should be very, very expensive.” “Why?” Pinkie asked with a confused look. Rarity looked at Pinkie. “Well darling, a wedding ring most always be expensive. For you are not only getting married, but a really expensive ring is the most romantic way to show someone you really love them.” She commented. “Really? Then how much does the ring around Saturn costs?” Sonata asked with seriousness in her tone. Rarity was kind of confused by the question. But coming from Sonata, she was use to strange question and answers. “Well darling, that.. Um ring, isn’t for sale. Why do you ask?” She questioned. “Because, thats the biggest ring in the universe right?” Sonata asked. “Then I want that ring for Pinkie, because I love her very, very, very, very, very, very much.” she finished. “Yeah, and I don’t care about the ring, I only care about the love that came from the ring.” Pinkie added kissing Sonata on the lips. A smile escaped Rarity’s face as she saw just how much they loved each other. It warmed her heart seeing that the ring’s costs meant nothing, they only cared for the love. “I.. I guess your right. But we still have to pay for it.” The light grey woman soon turned her attention to the cockroach she despised most. “Excuse me?” She said gently, trying not to say something unlady like. But Blue Blood was still looking at his own reflection. Smiling as he was lost in himself. This made Rarity roll her eyes. “Hey lookie, a sign.” Sonata said pointing at a sign that was on the counter. Pinkie read the sign out load. “If need service call my name, Blueblood” As soon as Pinkie said his name, Blueblood perked up and looked at the girls with a snobbish smile. “Mmm Welcome ladies, to my store, I have the second most beautiful things in here.” He said showing his pearly white teeth. “What’s the first most beautiful thing?” Sonata asked. “Why me of course.” Blue replied, stroking his hair back. Rarity almost barfed, but held it in, not wanting to be unlady like. But his mere appearance was enough to want to throw him infront of a train. She then cleared her throat. “Excuse me, my friends want to buy that ring.” she said, pointing at the ring Pinkie and Sonata wanted. Blueblood looked where Rarity was pointing. As he saw the ring she asked for, he raised an eyebrow. “Oh this small thing. Are you sure?” He asked, with a snobbish tone. “Yes please.” Sonata asked nicely with a smile. Blueblood then opened the glass counter and grabbed the small ring. “May, I asked who is getting married?” He asked. “WE ARE!!!!” Both Pinkie and Sonata said at the same time with a squee. Blueblood looked disgusted at them. “Your lesbians?” He questioned. Rarity’s face went from disgust to anger as she thought he was going to kick them out for being lesbians.“IS that a Problem Blue Balls?” Rarity asked, trying to keep her lady like posture. “It’s Blueblood. Not balls.” Blue remarked. “Also, I don’t believe in lesbians.” “How come?” Sonata asked confused. “Because.” BlueBlood said as he grinned. “All a lesbian is, is a woman who has never been with me.” Rarity soon went back to disgust and annoyed at just how self centered he was. “Get over yourself, you are a sorry excuse for a man.” Rarity commented, no longer caring about the being a proper lady. “Excuse me, I don’t believe we met? Blue replied back. “But I am god’s gift to all women and humanity.” He said smiling. Rarity was sickened by his words and the fact he didn’t even remember her. “You know, Lyra and Bon Bon became lesbians because of you.” Rarity said with a smile. “So I converted two carpet eaters into being straight.” Blue Blood said. “Damn, I am good.” Rarity stood there with blank face. “You...you sir are delusional and out of touch with realty.” Blueblood just smiled and rang up the ring. Sonata paid $280 for it. As he handed the ring to Sonata, Rarity noticed he had a ring on his finger. “YEAH WE CAN GET MARRIED” Both Pinkie and Sonata cheered as they hugged each other and jumped for joy. However, Rarity couldn’t help herself and asked “Who in the world married you? Blueblood smiled and lifted the mirror to his face. “This handsome devil here” He said with a wink. “The mirror?” Pinkie asked. Rarity on the other hand caught on and looked at him with a look of WTF. “You... You married yourself? Seriously? Does your aunt know about this?” She asked. “Yes, Aunt Celestia is proud of my choice. And I knew I was the one as soon as I saw my reflection in this pure silver plated mirror. I knew nobody was worthy of my beauty, but me.” Blueblood answered with a snobbish tone. He then started to kiss his own reflection. “Thats funny, you married yourself.” Sonata said, not trying to be rude. But she started giggling at the thought of him marrying himself. Soon it turned into laughter. Pinkie soon followed suit . Rarity didn’t want to laugh, but the more she heard the two girls laughing, and the more she thought about how pathetic Blueblood was to marry himself and how silly his self loving ego was. She started to chuckle, until Rarity soon began laughing along with them. Blueblood on the other hand didn’t even seem phased by their laughter. He was to busy kissing himself in the mirror. The girls started to calm down as they left his store. As they did, Sonata’s phone rang. The blue siren answered it and after a few second had a said look on her face. “Aw whats wrong Sonata?” Pinkie asked. “Work called, and they need me. That means, Sonata Pie Time is over.” She said with a pout. “Aw no its not silly-nata hehe.” Pinkie respoded, hugging her fiance. “When you come back we can have more Sonata Pie Time te he he” Rarity smiled as she saw the two cute couple hugging and kissed. “Yes darling, you go to work. Pinkie and I will go to AppleJack’s brewery to take care of the drinks. Sonata smiled and told Pinkie how much she loved her before parting ways. “Congratulations Pinkie.” Applejack commented, as she gave her friend a hug. Rarity and Pinkie where in Big Mac’s office with Applejack and Applebloom. The two girls had gone to the Sweet Apple Soda factory to tell Applejack the good news and to ask for help with the drinks. Pinkie Pie, along with Rainbow Dash really loved the Sweet Apple Soda that the Apple family made and were known for. “Thanks Applejack.” Pinkie responded. “So how much do we owe you?” She asked. “Oh shucks, this ain’t nothing. Think of this as our gift to ya partner.” Applejack replied. “Ain’t that right Big Mac?” “Eeyup.” He said, sitting at his desk. “Yeah, we are happy for you Pinkie.” Applebloom, added with a smile. “We sure are.” Applejack said. “Granny Smith would be to, if she were here with us today.” She said putting her hat over her heart. “Eyup.” said Big Mac, with a sad tone. Granny Smith had passed away for over two years ago. And Big Mac had taken up the rights to the factory and became the head boss, with Applejack being Manager and Applebloom helping on her free time. “Before she went, she said she’d hope you two would marry one day.” Applejack said with a little mist in her eyes. “I bet she is lookin down from heaven with a smile.” Pinkie Pie thanked her friend and gave her a comforting hug. Applejack let go of the embrace. “Ok, nuff talkin bout sad stuff. Yer gettin married. So when is ths wedding?” Applejack asked, as she wiped her eyes. “Well...” Pinkie said confuse, as she did not know, nor planned on the wedding. Until it dawn on her that her and Sonata both agreed next month on the 16th, because that was the day they became a couple. “Oh yeah, next sixteen, because that was when me and Sona became a true couple.” she explained with a squee. “Ok partner, me and Big Mac will be sure ta give ya the best soda ya evur had.” Applejack replied. “Eeyup.” Big Mac added with a smile. “That fabulous news darling.” Rarity put in. “Hey, don’t we need champagne?” Pinkie asked. As she did, both Rarity and Applejack looked at each other with grave concern. “Umm..sorry, but no darling.” Rarity said trying to smile. “Aww how come?” Pinkie questioned. “I become an awesome dancer when I drink remember?” she said with a smile. “Uh..about that Pinkie...when you drink you kinda..” Applejack hesitated with her words due to her little sister was in the room. “What I think Applejack wants to say darling. Is you should save the drinking for Sonata sweetie.” Rarity said trying not to remember that prom party Pinkie Pie through in high school. Applejack had to throw away all of Applebloom’s ping pong balls that night. “Aw ok.” Pinkie said disappointed she can’t drink. But decided she would save drinking for when it was just her and Sonata. She still didn’t understand why she couldn’t or wasn’t able to drink with her friends. She soon perked up as she remembered the party for the wedding. “Hey what about the party and other stuff?” she asked with a panic. “Darling, don’t worry about a thing. I, along with you other bridesmaids Sunset and Adagio will take care of everything.” Rarity said in a reassuring tone. “Leave it aaall in our hands. You just get ready to spend the rest of your life with your future wife.” Meanwhile Sonata was at work doing her typical job stuff, like making sure the food was prepared right and managing the place. The restaurant was rather slow for the night, and so Reeka, Draggle, and Ms. Crystalis gathered around to hear Sonata’s good news in the office. Sonata was not able to tell them right away due to five o’clock rush, so she had to wait till six thirty for the rush to die sown. Sonata stood there with a huge smile on her face. “Sonata...you wanted to tell us something?” Ms. Crystalis said taking a drag from her cigaret. Sonata snapped out of her trance and realize she did not tell them yet. “Oh right, sorry.” She said. “Me and Pinkie Pie are getting married!!” She said jumping in place while giggling. All three of the women congratulated Sonata on her marriage. “Thanks guys, hey, umm can you be my bridesmaids?” Sonata asked. “But what about your other six friends?” Crystalis questioned, breathing out the nasty smoke. “Oh, well Rainbow, Rarity, Sunset, Fluttershy, and Applejack are going to be Pinkie’s bride’s maids. While Adagio and Aria are mine.” Sonata replied. “So, I can still have a few more.” “Well, sure.” Reeka said, taking a bit out of a burrito that feel on the floor.. “Yeah, that sounds wonderful.” Draggle added with a smile. “I’d be happy to Sonata.” Crystalis stated. The gray haired manager couldn’t help but smile as she felt nothing but happiness for her friend and partner. A costumer soon walked in, so the girls left to do their jobs. Crystalis turned her chair around to look at a picture of Fluffilpuff. The old woman smiled as a tear left her cheek. “I bet your happy to huh?” She asked the picture before taking another drag. She didn’t start smoking until five months ago. That was when a drunk driver took her love away from her. She wasn’t the same since and was going to close the restaurant, but Sonata was determined not to let it sink. Crystalis, respected the siren for what she has done for her. Sonata went up to the cash register, while Grundel was on break. As she walked up, she was greeted by Aria and Fluttershy. “Hi girls, what can I get you?” Sonata said with smile. However, Aria’s eyes caught her attention. The purple siren’s eyes were red and looked like her eye liner was running. “Aria? Are you ok?” She asked her friend. “Huh, Yeah why?” Aria demanded. “Because it looks like you were crying.” Sonata replied. “What? Don’t be stupid. I don’t cry.” Aria barked. “But, I saw you crying before you came in?” Fluttershy said meekly, as she looked at Aria. Aria became annoyed. “I wasn’t crying. I had something in my eye.” She stated crossing her arms. “But, when I comforted you, you told me you were sad because your best friend was getting married.” Fluttershy pointed out. Aria growled as Sonata’s face lit up. Never has Aria ever in the history of their lives called Sonata “best friends” before. Sonata squeed as she lean and gave Aria a huge hug. “AWW YOU’RE MY BESTIE TO ARIA!!” “Get off,” Aria said, annoyed and even sicken by the emotion. However, in her head she was happy for her fellow siren. Fluttershy smiled at the sight before remembering what she had come in for. “Oh, Sonata, I forgot to ask. When will the wedding be?” onata let go of the tight grip around Aria and smile at Fluttershy. “Oh, next month on the 16th. That was when we became a full fledge couple.” She squeed. “Oh, congrates. I know Rarity is takeing care of everything, but what can I bring?” Fluttershy asked sweetly. Sonata put a finger to her chin and thoughts for a second. “Mmmm, what about champagne?” she responded. Aria’s face became horror as she heard what she had asked for. “NO! God no. No alcohol for you” She barked. Fluttershy and Sonata looked confused. “How come?” Sonata asked. “The last time you drank me and Adagio couldn’t eat pickles for a year.” Aria responded with a disgusted face. “Huh? Ooohh, you me when I-“ “SHUT UP!!!” Aria demanded, throwing her hand over the sirens mouth. “Don’t finish that sentence.” “Oh my, what happened?” Asked Fluttershy. “You don’t want to know.” Aria said, as she put her hand down from Sonata’s mouth. “Hey, did they order anything Sonata?” Draggle asked, peeping her head from the back. “Oh, right, how may I serve you guys?” Sonata looked back at her two friends. And so the day had finally come. There standing in the middle of a ball was Sonata Dusk and Pinkie Pie, dancing in each other’s arms. They looked deeply into one another’s eyes as the DJ and her posh friend played a beautiful melody. All their friends and family were there, some in tears, others filled with nothing but pride. Pinkie’s mother and father did not approve on their daughter’s “sinful” lifestyle, but they still came because their love was more important then their beliefs. Maud for the first time ever cried, for she was so proud of her little sister. Sonata, with the help from Aria and Adagio, performed the Siren’s Heart Song. A song that connects the heart of two lovers, so they would be together and die together. Sonata and Pinkie were happy for this, because they didn’t want to die before the other. As time went on, Ms. Crystalis died and a middle aged Sonata Dusk owned the restaurant with her two friends Reeka and Draggle. Pinkie Pie started her own baking/partying business and both of them adopted a child. They lived happily, with some troubles down the road. But their love still held strong. Until, the day came. Lying in a bed were two very old ladies. They held each others hand with a smile on their faces. Their hair as white as the snow, and a few wrinkles. But what still remain was the love they had. “Hey...Sona.” Pinkie said turning to her wife with a smile. “Yeah Pinkie?” Sonata responded. “I think..its about time.” Pinkie said feeling weak as she put one hand on her chest. Sonata looked at Pinkie with eyes streaming down her face. “Yeah, I can feel it to.” She replied, putting one hand on her chest to. “Guess, this is the final party huh?” she smiled. Pinkie smiled weakly. “Nah, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow, Adagio, and Sunset are waiting for us..on the other side he..hehe” Tears streamed down the side of her face. Sonata tried to grip Pinkie’s hand tightly and smiled at her. “Then.. lets go. We can wait for Aria and her husband, plus Fluttershy and hers.” the old blue siren said “We can have a afterlife party.” Pinkie looked at Sonata and moved her hand to the siren’s face. With her last breath. “Ok.....”
