“Hello Thunderlane.” Spike said as he walked beside the stallion. Thunderlane nodded back at Spike before shutting the giant crystal doors behind him. Thunder boomed as rain drummed against the roof of the castle.

“Twilight’s this way.” Spike said as Thunderlane wordlessly followed him into the castle. Only the sounds of Thunderlane’s hooves against the crystal floor and Spike’s feet hitting the floor could be heard in the dead awkward silence. That and the rain against the roof.

“So,” Spike cleared his throat awkwardly, “what did you want with Twilight?”

“Just wanted to see her?” Thunderlane replied slowly. Spike glanced back at him with raised eyebrows.

“Really?” asked Spike dubiously. “You know she’s really busy. She wouldn’t see anybody for days, not even her friends.” He raised an eyebrow at the stallion. “No offense, but what makes you think she’d see you?”

“She summoned me.”

“Summoned?” Spike asked curiously before adopting a more thoughtful expression. “Really? Hm... I can’t imagine why. I don’t understand most of the nerdy stuff she does when she’s experimenting. Why did she invite you? I thought you were more into mares than science… oh.”

“It’s not like that,” Thunderlane said quickly. Spike grinned.

“Are you two dating?” He asked as they rounded a corner. Thunderlane jumped out of the way before Spike’s long tail could flatten him into the crystal floors. “I know I told Twilight that she needed to get out more but sheesh-”

“We’re not dating!” Thunderlane roared. Spike chuckled.

“Right,” Spike said as they trotted up to two large doors. Spike pushed the doors open to reveal books, parchment and quills strewn across the floor. “Well, get in there.”

Thunderlane walked into the very messy room. There were candles everywhere, books and papers were strewn all across the floor. The windows blinds were pulled open so that the dark cloudy rain could be seen from inside.

As he made his way further into the room, he finally happened upon a part of the floor with no academic paraphernalia strewn across the ground. That said, there were still candles present. The only difference being the presence of a large mirror that lay flat. Not far from the mirror, Thunderlane could see Ponyville’s resident princess: Twilight Sparkle engrossed in a large leather bound tome.

“Your stallion-friend is here, Twi!” Spike said, smirking.

“Hm?” Twilight asked, looking up, her mane a wreck. “Oh Luke! Thank goodness you’re here!”

She flew over to him and hugged him tightly.

“Luke?” Spike muttered.

“Spike, will you leave us be? We have important matters to discuss.” Twilight said and motioned for Spike to leave. The large dragon fell onto her floor, crossed his arms, and gave her a deadpan look.

“I’m not moving,” He said. Twilight walked up to him and patted his head.

“Spike, I know you’ve been very protective of me. But I must speak with Thunderlane alone.” She said and glanced back at the pegasus who stared at the mirror in thinly concealed wonder.

“I’m not leaving,” Spike huffed, closing his eyes as though that would end the argument. To his surprise, Twilight did not continue to press him as she simply shrugged and flew back to Thunderlane’s side.

“I may have found us a way home!” Twilight said happily. Thunderlane perked up with a smile.

“That’s great,” He said and pointed at the portal. “Is that what the mirror’s for?”

“Mhm. With Twilight Sparkle’s brains, I have crafted us a way home.” Twilight said happily. “I should be able to use the magic of a regular teleportation spell to fuel the mirror and send us home where we belong.”

“Awesome. Being a pegasus sucks. Do you know how many mares tried to hit on me? Yuck. I can’t wait to have hands again.” Thunderlane said and looked at his hooves. “But man will I miss my wings.”

“Wait? Go home? What’s he talking about Twilight?” Spike asked interestedly.

“That’s why I told you to wait outside, Spike.” Twilight replied, pointing a hoof toward the door.

“You’re not Twilight. You haven’t been for a long time, have you?” He asked angrily. Thunderlane looked frightened. Twilight shrugged.

“Nope. I’m surprised it took you so long to figure it out. I’ve replaced Twilight for like, three months now,” Twilight said casually.

“Who are you?” He roared and expanded his wings. Smoke whistled out of his nose. “Where’s Twilight?”

“Right here bitch.” Twilight said casually and glanced over her hooves. “I thought you knew your purple little friend better than that.”

“Uh Samantha, do you think we should be taunting a dragon?” Thunderlane whispered.

“Don’t worry, I got this.” Twilight whispered back, tapping her horn which glowed a light red. “Spike, buddy, how did you not notice that I was not Twilight Sparkle?”

“I must admit, you fooled me,” he snorted, smoke coming out of his nose in huge puffs. Thunderlane coughed. “But you started to slip up. You become meaner to me. You also let me do whatever I want which the real Twilight would never do.”

“Right, right. I just got tired of dealing with you is all. You’re a grown dragon and you still act like a kid. So you got me, pal. I’m not Twilight.” Twilight said and grinned ominously. “So where is the real Twilight?”

“I don’t know.” Spike said, frowning. “But I’ll find out and you’re going to start by telling me who you are and where she is!”

“Try me you fucking asshole.” Twilight said with a grin.

“WHY YOU-” Suddenly Spike stiffened. He fell over suddenly, passing out.

“What did you do to him?” Thunderlane asked warily.

“Drugged him,” Twilight said casually. “There’s some weird medicine that Fluttershy sells that makes angry animals pass out when they get too riled up. I slipped him a huge dosage today. He’ll be out like a light for a few hours. If we’re lucky, he might wake up and think this was all a dream.”

“Are you saying we won’t be able to get home?” Thunderlane asked in fear.

“No. I just don’t want to cause the real Twilight Sparkle and Thunderlane any trouble when they get back. Now hand me that book, Luke.” Twilight pointed. Luke brought it over and dropped it beside her.

“This will make one hell of a good human in Equestria story when we get back home,” Thunderlane said and muttered. “Heck, we might even be able to start our own little club! The humans that actually got stuck in Equestria.”

“Nobody’s going to believe us. It’s just a TV show back home, remember?” Twilight rolled her eyes as the mirror glowed and shimmered. “Now jump in the mirror. I’ll be right behind you.”

“Okay,” Thunderlane said as he dove through the mirror. “I’ll see you on the other side Samantha!”

“You too Luke!” Twilight said as she set down the book, looked around and dove in right after him.

Four hours later, Spike woke up. He looked around the messy room before curling his tail  tightly around himself and hid behind his wings with only his head peeking out. His eyes watered up and he sniffled.

Just what in Equestria had just happened?!

“Twilight?” He called out and wiped his eyes. “TWILIGHT!”

“Quiet down, Spike!” Twilight shouted as she rubbed her head and stumbled forward. “I’ve got a splitting headache.”

“Twilight? Is it really you?” Spike asked as he stared down at Twilight. She shook her head to dispel the headache before smiling that motherly smile up at him.

“Yes Spike, it really is.” She said, nuzzled his arm. “I love you Spike.”

“I love you too, Twilight.”

The two hugged while Thunderlane watched on from the side. The pegasus couldn’t help but smile at the heartwarming scene as mother and son held each other in an affectionate embrace.

“Uh are you two done now so we can go have sex?” Thunderlane spoke up. Twilight looked back at him with a frown. Spike stared at the stallion blankly.

“What?” Spike asked, deadpanned. Thunderlane was lucky that looks couldn’t kill because he would have probably have died to Spike’s sharp gaze twice over.

“Thunderlane!” Twilight scolded. She gave him a look then pointed at Spike. “Not in front of Spike!”

“But sex in the human world was great and I was hoping we could finish what we started.” Thunderlane replied. A book was chucked at his head and it hit him square in the eye, forcing him to pass out.

“I knew you two were dating! You called him to your castle earlier today and then you… you…” Spike said as he tried to recall the events of earlier. “I’m not sure. I guess you guys had sex?”

“Yes.” Twilight said with a sigh. “That’s what happened. We didn’t get trapped in a parallel world because of a botched spell I was working on. We had sex.”

“For four hours?”

“Yes Spike. For four hours.”

“How? Rarity could never last that long.”

“Too much information Spike! Too much information!”
