Prince Of Darkness

The Anniversery

A lone figure woke in a dilapidated castle that stood silently in a forest, rising from a bed decorated with the night sky the figure moves over to the mirror to fix their hair and get ready for another lonely day spent inside the empty castle. After the hair situation is taken care of the figure moves to the other side of the room to an old armor stand that holds an old and dusty set of mat black plate armor. Taking the time to put it on for the first time in almost a millennium, the figure walks out of the room and proceeds to wander the old stone halls that seem to get worse day by day. When the figure passes by a window, the moon lights up their face. The figure is in fact a human male with pale skin, long black hair and crimson red eyes that seem to shine in the darkness.

While walking around the empty halls and rooms, he looks off at one of the towers on a whim. While looking out the window he sees a bright flash coming from the old throne room, and starts walking there casually. He didn't really care what was going on, the truth is he had stopped caring about anything for the last thousand years after his love was stripped away from him. While he was walking he decided to start singing a song that conveyed how he seemed to feel ever since she was taken away all those years ago.

As he finished the song he reached the doors to what remains of the throne room. Throwing the doors open he walks into the large room that seemed even bigger due to the roof missing several pieces, only to see a group of ponies standing around the other end of the long room by the throne.

A few minutes prior

"Twilight, my most faithful student. I knew you could do it!" Princess Celestia said to the lavender unicorn.

"But princess! You said it was just an old pony's tale!" Twilight replied.

"I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more." The white alicorn replied. "If only another would as well." she turns an walks over to a cobalt blue pony that the rest of them just now seemed to notice. "It has been a thousand years since i have seen you like this, we were meant to rule together little sister. Do you accept my friendship?"

"I missed you so much big sister!" The smaller alicorn jumped up and nuzzled her older sister.

Just then the group heard singing, accompanied by the sound of armored stomping heading down the corridor towards the room they were currently in.

Just when the singing and stomping got to the other side of the door, it stopped... leaving the group standing there in silence. After a full three seconds of nothing, the doors were flung open to reveal a large bipedal figure wearing black armor with a two handed longsword strapped to it's hip. the figure just stood there staring at the ponies before turning around and walking back the way it came from.

POV Celestia

How can he still be alive after all this time? i thought he was dead and gone all those years ago.

The alabaster alicorn couldn't believe her eyes, the prince lives to this day!

POV Luna

The dark alicorn couldn't believe what she was seeing, the prince of darkness himself was still alive after her banishment, she had resigned herself to the fate that the only one who ever understood her was dead and gone all those years ago.

POV third following the prince

He just stood there staring at the group before him,I didn't sign up for this today. I'm going back to bed. After turning and walking back the way he came he started going over just what he saw back in the old throne room, first there was a group of six that he did not recognize. Then there were two that he DID know, but he had long since come to terms with the reality that they were gone for good. The Celestia and Luna he knew, were long since dead and gone...

Reaching the bed chambers e woke up in this morning he relieved himself of his armor and placed it back on the stand in the corning of the room. Only when this was done did he remember what day it was, it was the thousandth anniversary of when she was taken form him. With that one crippling thought he climbed back into the bed and did the one thing he hadn't done in almost a full millennium... he cried. He cried there until there were no more tears t shed, and sleep slowly took him into darkness once more.
