Chapter One: First Day Jitters

Rainbow Dash stepped outside into the early morning sun. A Pegasus mail-pony with yellow hair, yellow crossed eyes, six bubbles on her flank for her cutie mark, and a soft grey body stood outside of Rainbow's door. Ponyvile wasn't yet up, and Celestia was surely taking her time to raise the sun.
"Mail-pony Derpy reporting for duty." Derpy said, then put her hoof on her forehead, saluting Rainbow Dash.
"Um...okey?" Rainbow Dash said confused.
"Does Rainbow Dash live here?" Derpy asked.
"Your talking to her." Rainbow replied, then watched as Derpy picked an envelope out of her bag wit her mouth. Derpy flew away, leaving Raibow Dash alone.
The envelope had a red waxed circle covering the opening with the letters PVU imprinted on the front. Rainbow Dash held her breath as she ever so carefully opened the envelope.

Rainbow Dash's heart skipped a beat. This is so awesome! She thought to herself, then continued reading.
On request of Princess Celestia, you have received a full payed scholarship for all of your years in college!
And I don't have to pay a thing! Rainbow Dash thought to herself again. Hello University life!

Rainbow Dash snored sleepily in her huge, rainbowlicious, bed. She had been living in an apartment with Pinkie Pie, (a pink earthpony with crazy hot pink hair, blue eyes, and three balloons for a cutie mark) and Octavia (an earthpony with dark black hair and a cloudy grey body, purple eyes, a white ribbon with a pink bow around her neck, and a purple treble cleft as a cutie mark), since they all where going to PVU, a local University. Suddenly, Pinkie Pie bursted through the door, and jumped on Rainbow Dash's bed, scaring the living daylight out of her. And well, injuring her very precious legs.
"PINKIE!!" Rainbow screamed at the top of her lungs.
Pinkie Pie jumped off her bed, a fat smile plastered on her face.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Pinkie said, innocently. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes as she lazily got out of bed, carefully stepping her hooves on the ground. She winced at the pain in her beautiful back legs, but once she took a couple more steps, her legs felt better.
"What's all this ruckus about?" Octavia said, entering the room where the two ponies where.
"Pinkie jumped on my fabulous legs!" Rainbow whined.
"Dashie wouldn't get up and I didn't want to be late to my very first day in college!" Pinkie had whined back.
Octavia raised her eyebrow, looking at her two strange friends. "So, neither of you are worried about school..." Octavia said, a slight bit of worry in her voice.
"Why should we be!" Pinkie said, smiling from ear to ear. School can't be that hard, besides, what's there to be worried about? Rainbow thought to herself.
"No, of course not. Who would be afraid of something as stupid as that?" Rainbow replied, a slight bit of worry in her voice too.
"Exactly." Pinkie agreed.
"Are you worried?" Rainbow Dash questioned Octavia, suddenly worried about her good friend.
"No, I'm fine. I think I'm just a little bit stressed over the fact that Vinyl is now at another school..." Octavia said sadly, as she stared down at her hooves. Rainbow placed her hoove on Octavia's shoulder, and offered her a slight smile. Octavia smiled a little back, then backed away, muttering something about breakfast. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash followed.

Rainbow poured some Hayios into a plastic bowl, then grabbed a spoon from the drawer in her mouth. She set the spoon next to her bowl then looked in the fridge for some milk. She opened the fridge to find at least 100 decorated cupcakes blocking her milk.
"PINKIE PIE!" Rainbow screamed in fury, her stomach growling.
"Yes, Dashie?" Pinkie Pie said, hopping into the room, with a bunch of balloons flying behind her.
"Pinkie, why is there cupcakes in the fridge blocking my milk!?!!?" Rainbow Dash questioned angrily.
"Oooooooh, those. I forgot to tell you about them. Just have dry Hayios today." Pinkie said.
With that, she walked away, her pink fluffy hair bouncing behind her. Rainbow could feel her tempature rising by the second. She slammed the fridge door and took a spoonful of the dry cereal into her mouth. Dashie stuck out her tongue in disgust.
"Pinkie's cupcakes blocking the fridge again?" Octavia asked, then rolled her eyes.
Rainbow Dash nooded her head furiously. "I couldn't get to the milk and now I have to eat dry cereal! Sometimes Pinkie can be a pain in the tail." Rainbow said, muttering the last sentence.
"Don't get your hooves in a bundle. Dry cereal isn't soooo bad." Octavia told Rainbow, trying to lift her spirits.
"Yeah right. I'll just grab a banana and eat that." Rainbow Dash muttered.
"And Rainbow?" Octavia said.
"Yes?" Rainbow replied.
"Pinkie isn't the only one that can be a pain in the tail." Octavia joked as Rainbow Dash stormed out of the room with a banana in her hoof.

Rainbow, Pinkie, and Octavia trotted to school.
"EEEEK! I'm so excited I could just....BURST!!!" Pinkie squealed, causing the thinking Octavia next to her to jump.
"Pinkie!" Octavia shouted, giving her a death glare.
"Do you think we'll have classes together?" Pinkie squealed again, this time in Rainbow's ear. Rainbow pushed her pink friend to the left.
"Considering we all have different majors, yours, party planning, Octavia's, music, and mine, Wonderbolts." Rainbow said, a slight bit of excitement in her voice when announcing her major.
"Wonderbolts has nothing to do with party planning, but music does." Octavia told Pinkie.
"Sooooooooooo, we could be in a class together!" Pinkie said, extremely loudly, causing ponies nearby to give her a disturbing glance.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Pinkie said, giving them all looks of confusion.
Rainbow Dash caught sight of a dark blue, purple, and pink colored tail. Is that...Twilight? Rainbow asked herself.
"TWILIGHT?" Rainbow shouted in question.
"Rainbow?" Twilight questioned back, then pushed her glasses up her nose. Rainbow sighed, remembering when Twilight got her glasses again.
"What are you doing here Twilight?" Pinkie asked, then hopped over to Twilight.
"Oh, I was just stopping by my old library to see how Spike is handling things." Twilight replied.
"Oh, ok!" Pinkie said, then grabbed Twilight into the biggest bear hug Rainbow had ever seen.
"How's princessing going?" Octavia asked.
"'Princessing' is not a word." Twilight said, her voice dropping an octave.
"Lighten up, Twilight. The pony was just asking a question." Rainbow Dash said.
"It's...busy..." Twilight muttered.
"I can imagine." Octavia muttered under her breath.
"Oh my dear Celestias! I'm almost late! It was nice seeing you all!" Twilight shouted, then quickly ran away, causing dust to fly up into the three friend's faces. Rainbow Dash coughed as she wiped her eyes.
"Well...that was...interesting..." Octavia muttered under her breath again.
"Come on guys! We're almost there!" Pinkie shouted, the University coming into Rainbow's sight.
It's huge... Rainbow Dash thought to herself, suddenly extremely nervous. The three ponies trotted up the steps to the University booming with students. Rainbow saw freshponies in one corner, sophomares in another. Pinkie waved at just about every single pony she saw. Rainbow and Octavia shared a glance, and they rolled their eyes in sync.
Pinkie Pie pushed open the door, opening up a world of all different types of ponies. Rainbow Dash could feel her legs shaking as she walked inside the gigantic building.
