Chapter 8: The Return Part 1
Next morning after having Breakfast with everyone but still sitting by the table. I glance at my mini map and saw another lotus symbol other than Hakkar and Quick Strike’s lotus symbol on the mini map. Quick strike got this after I gave her the means to speak to me over long distances. Being excited about this I went outside scanning the sky above Canterlot but saw nothing. Looking at your mini map again you saw that the marker was quite the distance away from your position. ‘How didn’t I notice this later?’ I thought. So I looked at the far distance and there I spotted it one of the newest ships a Scimitar class ship that was slowly descending down towards a village which I believe is called Ponyville as Twilight has spoke to me about it before and snowflake mentioning she lives there. I continue to watch it as suddenly I saw a part of it explode and starting to fall down heading straight for Ponyville.
While I saw this I could only mutter three words which was “by the void!”
I rushed inside again grabbing my weapons and telling everyone/pony i’m going out for some business I had to do. After that I ran towards my ship, once inside I shouted “Ordis set course to Ponyville NOW!”.
“Yes operator” He replied while starting up the engines and setting the course for Ponyville.
After 20 minutes of flying I arrive over Ponyville. I opened the ramp that leads outside and saw a full crowd standing around the crash site. I jump from the ramp falling fast. The crowd already saw my ship saw me jump of as I hear a chorus of gasps coming from them. I land hard between the crash and the ponies sending out a circle shockwave with the diameter of 2 meters sending the most unfortunate ponies that was to close sliding 30 centimeters. Shortly after I heard some groans coming from the ones that was knocked down and gasps from the rest of the crowd when they saw me standing looking over the wreck. To this I turned around and faced the crowd. I start hearing murmurs coming from the crown recognizing some of them being ‘who’s that?, what is that? why is it here?’ apparently they haven’t heard of me about the invasion and how I saved their nation.
“Greetings everypony!” I said said as he saw a purple pony that was standing in front of him who wha Twilight Sparkle herself. “Greetings Twilight.” I said.
“Hello Rhino Prime what brings you here today?” Twilight asked. The crowd heard this and started to murmur again.
“I came here to investigate the crash of a fellow Tenno ship, by the way do you know what happened?” I asked Twilight.
“Um...a...um I might have shot it down...I didn’t know it was a Tenno ship because it looks different from yours.” She said while embarrassed and drawing circles in the ground.
I gave a sigh before I answered “It’s okay Twilight you didn’t know but please be careful next time if my race wasn’t busy fighting two wars at the same time you would have probably have started a war.” Hearing this Twilight’s and everypony's eye grew to sizes of pinpricks as they heard what I said.
“I...I..I could have started a war…” She said with fear in her voice.
“Your lucky because of your innocence i’ll let it go for now.” I said.
“Thanks Rhino, is it okay if I call you Rhino?” Twilight asked.
“I do not mind, now let’s see if the Tenno survived the crash in fact I feel like I have seen this ship before but can’t com to terms where I have?” I said.
“Okay.” Was what I received as and answer.
I found the door to the ship after walking around the ship a few times (by the few times I mean fifteen times). Walking towards the door it didn’t open which it should do to let another Tenno in when the ship has crashed. I found places where the door was sticking out a bit and started to pull at it, unsurprisingly the door came right off it’s hinges.
Walking inside I saw the interior was placed to look exactly the same as mine which was weird in the way as the body of the ship from the outside seems to be smaller than the inside. “Wow never expected it to look like this.” I said with a surprised tone.
“It looks exactly like your’s” Twilight said.
“That’s the point from the outside the body of the ship is smaller than the inside, This Tenno needs to tell me how he did this!” I said.
“What really? How?” Twilight said.
“I don’t know.” I said as I heard a few moans coming from the back where their was a pile of scrap we haven’t looked through.
“Hello? Any one there?” I asked. I saw that there was a Lotus marker on my mini map where the scrap pile should be located. ‘It’s a Tenno under that pile!’ I thought.
“There’s a Tenno under that pile!” I shout as I ran over to the pile and began lifting the scrap metal pieces.
“Really how can you tell?” Twilight asked.
“It’s a thing that every Tenno has on his mini map system, which will show a lotus symbol when a Tenno is in the same sector”. I said still digging through the pile.
“Oh wow your tech is amazing! I would like to know how all of your stuff works!” She said excited.
“That day will come soon enough in a few days time Twilight as you, spike and the rest of the elements are invited to the wedding of Quick Strike and me at my Dojo” I said.
“What your getting married!” Twilight shouted.
“Yes got a problem Twilight?” I asked.
“Um no not really” She replied.
“Then I suggest that you don’t complain about it then.” I replied.
“All right then” Twilight said.
I saw the pile start to move then slowly a arm came out of it which I grab onto and started to pull up. Revealing a Tenno who was my best of friends and goes by Excaliber Prime Who had an Vectis Prime sniper rifle strapped to his back and a Scindo Prime heavy Axe attached to his left hip.
Setting him down to let him stand for himself then giving him a bone crushing bear hug as I said “Friend! It’s nice to see you!” after that said I let him go.
“It’s...nice...to...see you too…” He replied while trying to get his breath back.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Actually I’m here to find you, Lotus has been worried sick about you.” He replied.
“Oh really Didn’t realize it, but i’ve been having a great time here, even got a family started!” I said.
“Wait WHAT!” He yelled.
“Yeah…” I replied.
*Sigh* “sorry I overreacted a bit but congrats!” He said.
“Thanks man!” I said while patting his left shoulder with my right hand.
“But what’s with the purple pony with a horn behind you?” He asked. Which made twilight frown.
“Oh this is Twilight Sparkle she is an unicorn and one of the elements.” I said.
“I think she can explain everything while we head to her place.” I said. “Oh Almost forgot Twilight Sparkle this is Excaliber Prime we are best of friends.” I added.
“It’s nice to meet you Excaliber.” Twilight said.
“It’s nice to meet you too but would you be so kind to answer my questions?” Excaliber Prime said as we started walking towards Twilight’s house with Twilight leading the way.
We at last reached Twilight’s house. “So you're saying that this land Equestria is ruled by two princesses name Celestia and Luna?” Excaliber Prime Asked.
“Yes that is correct.” Twilight said as she opened the door for us to enter.
We had to crouch this time because the doors here weren't that big as the doors in Canterlot were.
Once inside Spike came running over to Twilight with a rolled up paper in his hand.
“Twilight!, Twilight! a letter came to you from the Princess!” Spike shouted as he came.
I watched Twilight as she took the letter and began to read it. She put down the letter and spoke “A TEST!! QUICK GATHER ALL OF MY STUFF I NEED!, QUILLS, PAPER, VOLUME 1 THROUGH 36!, AND FLASH CARDS!.” She shouted.
“Wow...what’s gotten into Twilight?” Excaliber Prime asked.
“She’s the personal student to Princess Celestia so I think she takes these test seriously.” I said.
“Okay” He replied.
After a while of watching her gather her stuff with spike she had to go meet Celestia at the throne room. I asked if I could give her a lift there as it was my destination to which she accepted.
-One trip later-
Standing outside the throne room Excaliber Prime with waiting for Twilight to finish her meeting with the Princess we were catching up with each other.
“So what have you been doing before you were assigned to search for me?” I asked.
“Well I was just hanging out at one of the relays and seeing if I could get a better discount from Darvo which I successfully got a Detron for half of his discount.” He said with a smile.
“You lucky guy anyways how was the Detron you like it?” I asked.
“Eh, it’s not my type of weapon don’t really like it.” He answered.
“Okay” I answered. When I said that Twilight came out.
“You two will need to come with me to the Crystal Empire quickly!”
I stare at her for a while before speaking. “Okay but may I ask why?” I asked.
“She said that we need to find a way to protect the Crystal Empire from the tyrant king, King Sombra.” She replied.
“All right let’s go then, to my ship then.” I said and started to make my way to my ship.
“Um sorry Rhino but we're going to have to take the train there because my friends will be on that train to the Crystal Empire also.” Twilight said.
“Okay then but can we stop by my house so I can tell my family where i’m heading to and get Hakkar with us?” I asked.
“Sure we can do that but do it quick” She said while we made our way to my house.
After a trip to my house saying farewell to my family and picking up Hakkar we made it to the train station just in the nick of time. Once inside the train that was to take us to the Frozen North, we saw the rest of Twilight’s friends or the elements waiting for us.
“Hey Twilight, Hello Rhino Prime” Apple Jack said. “And who are the other two if I may ask?”
“Hello Apple Jack I think it’s better if Rhino here introduces them.” Twilight said.
“Greetings Apple Jack.” I said with a bow. “These two are Hakkar and my best buddy Excaliber Prime” I said while pointing to each one respectively.” I introduced the other two.
“Oh oh oh oh new friends! I love making new friends! this needs a party!” Pinkie said before she gasped. “I haven’t made a party for Rhino Prime either!! and thank you for saving Equestria party!!” she panicked.
“Um…” Hakkar, Excaliber Prime, and I said in unison.
“Don’t mind her she just get’s excited by getting to throw parties for others.” Rarity said.
“All Right if you say so but anyways Excaliber and I are going to go and meditate and maybe some nartas, Hakkar you're free to do what you like for the journey.” I said.
“All right boss” He said so we left the others to their conversation.
Hakkar Sat with the others to join in on their conversation but was asked more questions than he could ask. With each occupants conversing with each other or doing other things they left for the Frozen North where the Crystal Empire would be.
