Mother Daugher Time

Mother Daugher Time

The Friendship Express rattled along the track heading up the mountain towards Canterlot. Today was like any ordinary day for Twilight. No imminent disaster to threaten equestria, no princess duties with mounds upon mounds of paperwork, and most importantly, no stress.  This pleased the purple Alicorn as she lay on her seat watching the train entered one of the many tunnels that the track snaked through during it accent.

“Ah isn’t this nice, Spike?” she asked, as she looked over at her scaly assistant with a relaxed smile.

Spike lowered his comic to his lap, nodding in reply. “Yeah been forever since we took a trip to Canterlot that wasn’t for something of urgency or the like.”

Twilight blinked. “What about the time with Moondancer?”

“I'm not sure internal conflict counts as non important,” he crossed his arms.

The alicorn simply shrugged while floating out one of her books. “Okay granted but this trip all about relaxing and having fun. You know to just enjoying ourselves. Anything you like to do while we are there Spike? I know you love Donut Joe’s”

Spike nodded. “You know it, also maybe the comic shop and visit an old friend of mine from the castle.”

“You have a friend amongst the staff?” Twilight tilted her head.

“Yeah, didn’t I ever mention him before? Although now that I think about it, I only knew him from when i was under Celestia care.”

“Did something happen, you’re still friends right?” she gasped. ‘I didn’t cause you to stop being his friend did I?”

Spike quickly shook his head to reassure her. “No, no we just saw each other less cause he had duties and I had mine, you know life.” Still seeing Twilight worried expression, he continued. “We visit when we come to Canterlot and pen pals so everything is cool Twi, relax.”

Twilight blinked and sighed laying her head back down to read. “Okay that’s good to know. I worry about you Spike.”

Spike blushed a little. “Twi not in public.”

The princess couldn’t help but chuckle as she went back to reading.  The train pulled into the station roughly an hour later, blowing it whistle loudly. Spike and Twilight quickly get off with their bags.  Spike merely having a cute blue backpack while Twilight had two duffel bags with her mark emblazed on them.

As they walk off the platform, Spike adjusted his backpack and looked up at Twilight. “Where are we staying again? Is it the castle?”

Twilight had a skip in her step. “No Spike, we’re going to stay at my parents. Remember that one letter I had you send to Celestia, well it had a note to her to forward the letter to my parents.”

Spike rolled his eyes. ‘Seems over complicated, the snail mail would would have worked too.”

“It saved on postage.”

He shrugged in response, not bothering to get into a debate over something so frivolous. As he followed his mother down the path he finally noted Twilight extra luggage. “Oh um okay. So why did you bring the da-duffle bag.” he asked, catching himself.

Twilight stopped in her tracks,, her cheek flushed as she remembered when Spike had walked in on her that very morning after her special alone time, seeing her all padded up. It had been a month since then and she remembered it so very fondly. Now with this planned trip to Canterlot she could have two days to have some much needed mother daughter time she had been craving. Eventually after comforting him over a nightmare he had had, she worked up the gumption to tell him the truth and was very relieved when he seemed to accept her little hobby and not judge her for it. At least she hoped that was the case and that he wasn’t laughing on the inside at it. Her mother on the other hoof, was going to be the real challenge.

She resumed her stroll down the street trying to not blush. “Well you know how much i’ve been missing them lately and while this trip is to visit, I also wanted some mother daughter time with her. You know the close bonding kind?”

Being on a empty street, Spike felt he was free to speak his mind. “Uh, you sure Twi? I mean I can handle your hobby because I leave you alone for it but how do you know she will like it or tolerate such things.”

Twilight gasped. “Spike, she’s my mother. Why wouldn’t she want her little filly back for a bit?”

“Cause it not normal for a mare to wear d-”

“Shush,”Twilight blushed. “Do you want the whole neighbourhood to know,” she hushed.

Spike frowned. “So you did just come for your own reason?”

Twilight blinked. ‘No of course not. We will get to spend time together too. I only plan the activity for the evening and maybe morning. All depends if mom will accept it.  Of course their dad too, oh i’m getting stressed just thinking about it now.” She shifted in place, looking down at the end of the block where their house rested.

Spike in return, put his hand on her shoulder, giving his best you can do it smile. “Twilight will you relax? So what if your mom refuses. it's not like she will throw you out or anything.”

“But what if-”

Her dragon assistant quickly hushed her with a claw to her lips. “She won’t, now come on i’m hungry.” He started walking down the hill once more not bothering to look back.

Wow never knew how level headed Spike was till now. Good for him.  Twilight followed still a bit nervous, a hundred what-if scenarios floating about in her big noggin of hers.  Once on the pouch she knocked taking a few breaths. Hooves are heard approaching from the other side a as Twilight worked up smile.  The front door was soon pulled open in Velvet’s magic  As soon as her mother spotting her daughter, Twilight was pulled swiftly into a hug.

‘Twilight, you’re here!” Velvet chirped. She let go of Twilight only to pull Spike into a similar hug as well. “And hello to you too, Spike. So nice to see you two again. Feels like just yesterday you were helping twi with her kindergarten homework.”

Twilight saw her father come out from the side room and watched as he was trying not laugh.  She blushed. ‘Mooom.”

Seemingly ignoring her daughter embarrassment, she gestured her hoof inside. “Oh you must be hungry after walking here. Come in and i’ll make some pancakes.”  She moved inside and made a left into the kitchen.

Spike adjusted his backpack once more. “Well let’s go put our bags in your room Twilight.”

Twilight shook her head having been lost in thought for a second. “Oh yeah right.” she picked up her bags and headed up the stairs.

---------

A burst of pure joyfully laughter filled the the room as Twilight opened the front door. Velvet, Twilight and Spike had spend the rest of the afternoon at the fair held on the castle ground. Everypony was smiling wide, Spike even had his face painted like a tiger.

Twilight laughs again. ‘Oh and Celestia face when she saw you running down the field in that pinata.”

Spike nods riding on Velvet back holding a balloon. “Yeah i’ll admit that was quite the event. Blizzard is quite the prankster I’ll give him that.”

Velvel let out a laugh as well. “Oh don’t forget that moment when you flew into the punch bowl.” She nudged Twilight as she snorted again.

“Mooom it wasn’t that funny,” she said, while still smelling of orange and peach fruit punch.

“Oh if only your father had been there to see it.”

Nightlight came down the stairs after hearing his wife. “Oh what did I miss that was so funny?” He asked, before he hugged Velvet and Twilight. He pulled away suddenly upon discovering an answer to his question. “Twilight you’re all sticky and smell like fruit.”

Twilight in return groaned, “Yes I know. If anyone needs me i’m going to take a shower.” Without another word she headed up the stairs hearing her mom and dad talk with Spike about the day. The afternoon had been quite eventful with lots of time to spend with her mom. Despite this, she still had that lingering desire to ask her mom about that personal time she so wanted..  As the warm water ran down her coat, she pictured the situation in her head.  Many of the possible outcomes ran through her logical mind, many of which, turned into worry of rejection.  What if mom laughed at her for it?  She wasn’t sure what she’d do then.

She took a moment to focus back on the positive remembering the alone time she had and her imaginary mother having tucked her into bed, but this time it would be real, at least she hoped it would be.  She hadn’t even considered what Nightlight reaction would be. Sure he always been the level headed kind of pony, but what she was going to ask was just unheard of.  Mustering all she could to not let her mind panic more, she got dried off and made her way downstairs.

Upon finding them in the living room, she looked at Spike who in return got the message of what was about to happen just by the way Twilight was posturing. Taking a moment to exhale, she spoke. “Mom can I talk with you upstairs?”  She bit her lip, trying to withhold both excitement and anxiety at the same time as she waited for the response.

Velvet rose to her hooves, her face mimicking concern being a typical response to request to talk in private. Twilight reminded herself as she nodded. “Of course, Twilight.”

The alicorn’s heart thumped into her chest as she tried her best not to show her mother she was worried or scared. You can do this Twilight, just show her and let her soak it in. She lead her mother into the bedroom the duffle bag now sitting on the bed. Once her mom was inside, she took another breath. “Mom I’ve been wanting to ask all day about something and I think it might help us bond closer.”

Her mom titled her head, seeming confused. “Twilight we’ve always been close. Is something troubling you? You know you can tell me i’m always here for you.”

Twilight concerns were lessened by Velvet’s motherly tone, reminding Twilight that indeed she was always willing to listen. “Well n-no but it’s a special activity and um…” she facehoofed, letting out a groan before spitting it out before she said something awkward. “Do you want your little filly back for a while.” She could feel her cheeks once more flare as she turned her gaze away from her mother.

Much as she anticipated, her mother was indeed very confused. “Twilight, what are you trying to tell me. You're not making any sense.”

She bit down on her lip feeling the words weigh heavy in her throat unable to just spit it out. There were so many factors, so many ways this could go wrong as she ran down her internal check list over and over. Her eyes continued to dart about the room until she grabbed the bag and tossed it down between them. With a quick swipe of her hoof she opened the zipper revealing the bag’s contents. The usually calm Alicorn could now feel her heart thumping like a heavy drum as seconds passed.  Mother and daughter stared at each other for what could have been longer, but for Twilight, time seemed to stop. She awaited her mother’s response holding her one hoof against her leg.

Velvet blinked several times opening and closing her mouth as she seemed to be trying to form words. Each second of hesitation made the room seem that much more quiet. She could hear twilight mumbling to herself while she thought of what to say. After a moment, she spoke. “Twilight, I’m not sure how to take this but...yes I’d like to have my filly back for a while.” Without letting Twilight speak up, she pulled her daughter into a hug.

Twilight breathing slowed to a calming tempo as she returned the hug, resting her head on her mom’s shoulder. “Y-you don’t think i’m weird, or hate me?”

Her mother gently rubbed Twilight’s back as she would when she was a filly. “No, of course not. It may be an odd hobby but that’s not reason i’d hate you twily.”

Twilight wasn’t able to tell if her mom was tolerating this or genuinely wanted her foal back.  A smile formed on her muzzle along with a radiating blush, just hoping for her sake it was the ladder. The fact she had used her childhood nickname made her more hopeful. “So you wouldn’t mind treating me like your little foal again for the evening?” She asked, as she stared at her mom with a toothy grin.

“If that’s what you want Twilight, then i’m more then willing to play along,” she giggled and looked inside the bag. “Does sound rather fun to enjoy the early years.”

As her mom got out the diaper, Twilight felt her tension lessen, the weight lifted off her shoulders from all her worrying. She let out a sigh, smiling again as she watched Velvet examine what she brought for them. “Yeah, that was my thought too.” Her mom smiled patting the bed indicating Twilight to lay down for her change.

Twilight cheeks flared up as she saw her mom looking at the container of foal powder. Before her mom could ask, she spoke raising her rump lightly as the garment is slid under her. ‘I-I don’ actual use the diapers. It’s just for the smell.” Her mother in return let out a soft chuckle needling the tail into the back.

“Aww, does twily like feeling protected from accidents.” she playfully teased, giving twilight’s rump a light sprinkling, just enough to get the smell. All the while, watching her daughter blush and smile back at her with a child like wonder as the front of the diaper was pulled up and e tabs secured properly.

Just by the way her mom was using the most delicate of care, Twilight could tell her mom was having fond flashbacks of her early motherhood.  She let out another breath, finding it easier to let her control freak mind to just stop worrying about every detail. The now overgrown foal sat up, and gave her mom a hug, leaning against her fur. “Thank you.” They hold the embrace for a few minutes, both feeling relaxed.

“You know, I do still have a foal bottle from when you were a foal. If you want me to feed you I can go get it.”

Her daughter blushed and nodded, “Yes please.” She watched her mom leave the room smiling more. She got comfy on the bed and floated out Smarty Pants, hugging it close to her chest. “Hehe just like old time Smarty.”

Twilight let out playful coo’s at her mom as she came back into the bedroom with the small foal bottle for of milk.  Her mom in return, beamed back at her daughter. “Aww does filly want her baba?”

The filly nodded rapidly. “Baba” she reached her hooves up to play her part.  Her mom happily sat down laying twi against her side moving the nipple to her filly’s lips.  Twilight of course took the tiny nipple into her mouth doing her best to suckle out the milk. It was different from a pacifier but soothing none the less.  her body went limp as her mom rubbed her tummy as she drank. This new experience was delightful being everything she imagined it could be.

Velvet took the bottle out once it was empty, continuing to rub her daughter’s tummy. “I’m proud of you Twilight. “

“thanks mom.” She sighed, closing her eyes for a second. A moment later she meeped feeling her mom pop her pacifier in.

“Aww, there my filly has her binky,” she cooed, rubbing Twilight tummy in small circles and watched as her daughter suckled away on it.

Twilight coo’s feeling very soothed by her mother’s presence.  She kept quiet, her suckling echoing about the room.  Right now Twilight had no worries, feeling bliss at being cared for. The next ten minutes were filled with her mom’s humming as she rubbed her daughter's tummy.  Both were enjoying the silence of the moment, but sadly it couldn’t last forever as a knock on the door rang through the room.

Velvet and Twilight glanced at the door. “Yes?”

“Hey can I come in? I left my comic in my backpack.” Spike called out.

Twilight nodded at Velvet as her mom silent asked for clarification.  “Come in.”

Spike quickly entered the room heading over to is backpack. “Sorry didn’ mean to interrupt.”

Velvet glance wandered between Twilight and Spike, her curiosity peaked once again. “Spike, did you know about um this?’ she pats her daughter’s padding.

Spike blushed. “Well no, not recently anyway. I kind of just walked in on her one morning.”

“Ah I see.”  She watch Spike leave as soon as he got his comic and like spring blew a raspberry on Twilight tummy, making Twilight in turn burst out laughing.  she did another long one, watching her hooves fly about.

‘haha, mom s-stop.” she laughed joyfully.

Her mom didn’t stop taking a breath to do another. “Tickle monster has you now.” she blew against Twilight tummy once more, giggling once she stopped.

Twilight panted, catching her breath before sitting up and giving her mom a warm hug. The next half an hour was filled with pretend as Twilight made smarty pants talk and move about as her mom was playing a princess using another plushie. The room filled with laughter as their little game ended Twilight feeling no worries at all. That was until she felt she had to pee.  The realization that she had forgotten to go after her shower made her blush as she got up and slowly waddled to the door.

“Where you going Twily?”

“Bathroom, I have to pee.”

Her mom blinked, tilting her head as an idea came to her. “But twilight, you're wearing your potty,” she said, using the baby phrasing.

Twilight cheeks flared up, frozen in place.  Out of all the scenarios her over thinking noggin had come up with, she hadn’t expected her mom to suggest that. A small part of Twilight reminded herself of said garment’s purpose but after that first try at using it she still had doubts of doing such a thing again.  ‘Um I-I don’t know about that. I mean yes it the intended use b-but..”

Her mom raised a hoof. “I won’t make you, just saying I’d love to change  your little nappy like old times,” she giggled. “Choice is all yours. I mean you do have a spare.”

Twilight stood at the door hoof raised in the air.  She felt conflicted about the thought having had imagined said change in her mind.  It could be nice. She thought setting her hoof back on the floor, thinking it over for a bit as her mom kept quiet, giving her that sweet motherly gaze she liked so much.  It not like anyone else will see me doing it other than mom and she had already seen wet diapers before from foalhood.

She kept blushing as she made up her mind. “O-okay but turn around.” she gestured. Velvet smiled as she did so and waits.  Twilight closed her eyes listening to the clock tick as she tried to just let it out.  But her potty training was a stubborn muscle and the slight embarrassment of the idea kept her from releasing.  She didn’t want to leave the room to go either out of fear that her dad would somehow come up the stairs and see her in that state.  Nearly thirty seconds passed before she was able to let it out shifting as the padding drank it up.  Just as she imagined, it felt squishy and warm between her legs and not really all that comforting. no wonder babies cry when they aren’t dry.  Yet somehow knowing her mom was there made her feel better about it and let out a sigh as she finished. “I’m done now.”

Velvet turned getting a clear view of the radiating yellow behind on the seat of the diaper.  “Aww Twily had a wittle accident,” she babied, sliding Twilight paci back in as she grinned.  Remembering she had some fresh wipes in her room, she let twilight move back to the bed. “I’ll be right back for your diaper change.” she cooed, watching her daughter simply suckle and nod in reply cheeks still flushed like tomatoes.

Twilight rested her head back on the pillow, unable to get completely comfortable. This is so weird, but nice almost. She thought, as her mom soon returned.  Twilight got in position as her mom pulled out the fresh diaper crinkling it in her hooves. The light scent of powder still lingered in the air as her bottom is wiped clean.  She gave a warm smile at her mom feeling content as she changed. The process took a bit of time, but Twilight enjoyed every second of it.

Soon, her mom taped up the fresh white padding nice and snug, giving it a few pats. “There twily all clean, yes she is.” She giggled the awkwardness from the start having faded into the background as both get comfortable with their roles.

Her daughter suckled away holding her smarty pants close to her. “Read me a story mommy.,” she asked, in an adorable tone. The next second, she let out a soft yawn tired from the soothing nature of the pacifier.

“Daww of course I can read you bedtime story,” she cooed, before going out of the room to find a book for her.  Twilight was happy sew had closed the door so her dad wouldn’t see the site.  While her mom was gone, she got comfy under the cover getting warmed up by the cottony mbrace. “hehe mommy nie Smarty.” she made her doll nod in reply.

“Uh huh, mommy is the best,” Smarty Pants replied, the big foa giving her a big hug. This moment was everything she had hoped it would be and more as she let out a yawn. Her mom soon came back with the story book holding it up to show the vibrant colourful cover.  Three fillies were on the cover, one from each race of ponykind. The slight irony wasn’t lost on Twilight as her mom sat down next to her.

“This used to be your favorite when you were little,” she said, ruffling Twilight mane.  Th filly giggled and nodded in reply as her mom opened the book, and began to read.  As the story went on Twilight gradually got tired over time letting out a few yawns.

“Mom, do you think I should tell dad about um this?”

Her mom’s hoof gently stroked Twilight mane, thinking it over in her head. “In the end it up to you dear, everything going to be fine.”

The words rang inside her head reminding her again of the sweet memories she could recall. As she pulls her mom into a hug once more, Spike walked in yawning ready for bed as well.  Twilight happily picked him up pulling him into the group hug.

“You sure you don’t want your own bed Spike?”

Spike yawned in reply. “Nah i’m good. It’s rather nice to know your nearby.”  He can't help but smile as  they are tucked back in under the covers.  The little dragon plonks Twilight pacifier into her mouth, and in return she wrapped her wing around him.

Velvet can’t help but daww at the sight, giving each of them a light kiss on the forehead. “Sleep tight you two.” She watched the Twilight pull Spike closer like a mother protecting its young.  A smile remained on the elderly mother’s face as she turned off the lights and let them sleep.

---------

The train whistle blared as the metal behemoth pulled into the station. Spike held the straps of his backpack smiling. “You were right, Twilight that was a fun visit. You feeling better?” He asked, happy to see her beaming as well.

“Indeed I am Spike, this break was just what I needed. Plus I was able to find some new books to read.”

“oh that’s great. Any comics in that bag?”

Twilight snickered a little. “Oh you.  It’s just a few books on various enchants and magic phenomenons. “

Spike rolled his eyes and shrugged. “Eh come on Twi, let’s get settled.” He heads to the train car and turned seeing Twilight looking back at Canterlot. “Twilight you coming?”

“Oh yes, in a moment Spike.”  As Spike disappeared into the train car, Twilight stared once more a the landscape letting out a gratifying sigh. “Till next time mom.” She said, before finally trotting into the train all her worries a thing of the past, at least for now.
