You shut your eyes as you allow yourself to fade out of consciousness.
You awake to a rather abrupt and uneasy stop which almost causes you to roll to the front of your car. You exit the train and stare out at what you see.
A beautiful town past the train station you had just arrived at, Sunlight and clear skies as far as the eye can see. You make sure you have everything you packed (which isn't really much) before you leave the station.
As you take your first steps into Ponyville you take in the scenery and now notice something odd. While the weather was perfect, you noticed there wasn't a single pony outside to enjoy it. How strange?
You hold your head up high and continue walking when you catch a glimpse of the sun's rays beginning to fade and darkness shadowing over the town.
You begin to worry and look up only to see dark clouds hovering above your head, a loud boom of thunder frightens you until you realize it's just a few thunder clouds. You continue with your walk until another boom of thunder erupts, this time providing rain.
Within a matter of seconds the rain is pouring down at speeds faster than your legs can keep up with, and then it hit you. Your a pegasus, remember! You can just out fly the rain, right?
Um....no.
How about you just fly above the rain clouds genius?
You decide that its probably best if you fly above the rain clouds until the storm blows over. You fly straight through the air and attempt to punch through a cloud, however, it barely budges at the impact of your blow.
