//------------------------------// // Chapter 10: Guardians Part 5: Fluttershy // Story: Rise of the Equestrians // by Doodle Note //------------------------------// After Gabriel walked out of the train station as his train left, he started walking to find Fluttershy. He already knew that it was already night. 6:00 is what he thought what time it was. Or was it 6:30? He shrugged and kept walking. He was confused the first time he and Magnus met Sunset and Coloratura. He was even confused about their hair from the start, but he now got it when Sunset explained everything. Gabriel took out the butterfly-shaped crystal. "Hmm, let's see. If I were Fluttershy, where would I live around here. Fluttershy, whoever you are, where are you?" Gabriel stopped and saw a dark forest in front of him as he turned seeing a sign saying 'Beware of the Flutterbat'. Below the sign was another saying 'We mean it!'. He didn't know what they meant, but he walked into the forest anyway, not knowing someone was spying on him. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Gabriel turned and saw another sign saying 'Seriously? You enter anyway? What are you, braindead?'. "I don't know if you're a ghost that speaks in signs, but I am Gabriel the Warrior. I am not afraid of one such monster!" He turned and saw another sign saying 'So, you'll die for whoever sent you here?'. "Listen, can't you just give me some space for once?" Gabriel turned and saw another sign saying, 'Can't you see I'm being serious?!'. "Why don't you just be quiet for once?!" He turned seeing another sign saying 'Fine. But if you die, don't blame me.' Gabriel growled as he heard a snap and stopped. "Hello? Anyone? Fluttershy?" He heard a whoosh behind him as he took out his diamond sword. "Who are you? Show yourself!" He turned around and saw someone hanging on a tree with his or her feet. The being hissed and flew off the tree revealing a girl with bright pink messy hair, fangs, pink glowing bat wings and red eyes wearing a green tattered long-sleeved ankle-high dress with white and yellow bats, a white bat hair clip, a pink bat necklace, a pink bat bracelet, and pink flats. The being swooped down, but Gabriel ducked and saw a sign saying 'Told you so'. "Oh, shut up, ghost that speaks in signs." Gabriel mumbled as he saw the girl swoop down at his and ducked. "I'm not afraid of you!" He ran up to the girl to fight her. The girl flew down as Gabriel slashed her face with his sword and crashed on the ground. Gabriel turned seeing the girl get up and turned to him seeing a scar on her cheek that easily faded away. "What?" The girl hissed angrily and flew to Gabriel, pushing him down. She flew up to the sky as she stopped and saw the scared look on his face. She puts her face of anger away and drifted to the ground landed feet first. Then she spoke in a soft, kind voice. "Um, did I scare you, sir? I'm sorry. I thought you were a Changeling." Gabriel became shocked. "You-you spoke." "Of course I did. This isn't my true form. This is just a disguise just to hide my true identity." "What?" The girl took out a pouch and took out a small piece of candy and ate it as she started glowing. As the glow faded, her hair clip was now a butterfly. So was her bracelet, necklace and the butterflies on her dress, which was now clean and perfect, her fangs and wings were gone, her hair was no longer messy and her eyes were now teal. "THIS is my true form." Gabriel got even more shocked. "But, that's impossible." "I've been in that disguise for two years." The girl explained. "I have more than one disguise, you know. But I can do more than that." The girl turned invisible, putting Gabriel in more shock and deactivated her ability. Gabriel got up. "You must be Fluttershy." The girl known as Fluttershy nodded. "Mm hmm. And you must be Gabriel the Warrior. I've heard a lot about you. You've been my idol when I was a little girl. I vowed that when I grow up, I'm going to be just like you. I'm really sorry about that. I thought you were a Changeling." "It's okay." Gabriel said. "I want to talk to you. But, not here." He turned and saw a sign saying 'Talk to her about what?'. "But all I want to do is get that ghost that speaks with signs away from here!" "Oh, that's Sour Sweet." Fluttershy explained. "She talks with signs sometimes, and she's not a ghost. She's invisible." A girl with pink and grayish aquamarine hair and purple eyes wearing a purple knee-high dress, black gloves, pink leggings and black boots holding the sign appeared and sighed. "I tried to warn you about her. But no! YOU didn't listen!" She threw the sign and stomped away. "Why doesn't anyone listen to me?!" Gabriel turned to Fluttershy. "So, now I have something to tell you." "We can talk in my fortress. Follow me." Fluttershy started walking with Gabriel following her. The two started walking to a pit with a rope hanging. Fluttershy jumped to the rope and slid down. As Fluttershy reached the ground, she looked up. "Don't worry! It's safe!" Gabriel jumped to the rope and slid down. Then he reached the ground and lets go of the rope. The two continued walking. Gabriel turned to Fluttershy. "Where are we going?" "Like I said, we're going to my fortress." Fluttershy said. "How far is this fortress?" "It's not that far. It's pretty close." The two looked in front and saw a fortress made of stone. They walked up to the fortress. As they reached the door, Fluttershy knocked on the door and saw a tall pitch black creature with purple eyes and long arms and legs answered the door. Gabriel took out his sword. "Enderman!" "Don't worry. He's friendly." Fluttershy assured. The Enderman let's the two in as they walked in. Gabriel looked around and saw many Endermen carrying stuff. "Fluttershy, how are you doing this?" "It just takes an act of kindness to make them do what you tell them." The two walked to a table and sat down. "Care for some tea?" Fluttershy asked. "Sure." Gabriel said. Fluttershy clapped her hands as two butterflies flew to the table and dropped off two teacups. Then two Endermen came as one Enderman poured tea into each cup. The other one pulled out a box of sugarcubes. "He said 'One lump or two?'." Fluttershy translated. "One's enough." Gabriel said. The Enderman dropped one cube into Gabriel's cup, then dropped one into Fluttershy's and the Endermen teleported away. Fluttershy took her cup. "So, Mr. Gabriel, what brings you here?" "I was sent here to get you." Gabriel explained. "My kind and your kind is in danger." "What? W-What are you talking about?" Gabriel took out the gem and placed it on the table. "I have your gem." Fluttershy gasped. "Princess Celestia gave it to me. The Alliance is going to raise the Supernova if I don't bring you to Canterlot. Others of my kind are currently looking for your friends. Please, you have to help me save my kind and yours." Fluttershy took the crystal from the table. "My friends are out there. I-It's been two years since I've seen them. But, what if I come back and they don't remember me?" "I'm pretty sure they will." Fluttershy smiled as the fortress rumbled, making the Endermen angry. "What's going on?" Gabriel asked in shock. Fluttershy got up from the table. "She found us." Gabriel turned to Fluttershy. "Who?" "The Mane-iac." Outside, Changelings were swirling around the pit as a woman with green, tentacle-like hair with green and red eyes wearing a purple dress, black and gold gloves, and black leggings and boots was resting on her own hair. "After two years of searching, we finally found her." The woman laughed. "As soon as we get her destroyed, there is no one that will stop us!" Gabriel turned to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy, we have to get out of here! But how are we going to get pass her?" "Don't worry. I know a way." Fluttershy waved at her bracelet as pink glowing butterfly wings appeared on her back. Gabriel was shocked. "What? But how?" "This is just another one of my abilities." Fluttershy explained as she held Gabriel and turned to the Endermen. "Everyone, I have to go. If anything happens, I'll call all of you. You all know where I go." The Endermen saluted as Fluttershy flew out of the cave with Gabriel. As they came out, the Changelings and the Mane-iac saw them as Fluttershy created a ball of energy and shot it at them. "So, Mr. Gabriel, where do we go now?" Fluttershy asked. "Canterlot." Gabriel answered. Fluttershy nodded and started flying to Canterlot, not knowing that the Mane-iac is seeing them. The Mane-iac growled in anger and turned to one of the Changelings. "You are an idiot!" She slapped his face with her hair and turned to the other Changelings. "Every one of you is an idiot!" One of the Changelings started crying as another patted his back.
