The sun beaming, high up in the clear blue sky little to no clouds could be found. The sunlight shining down on the Earth, giving the flowers what they need to grow. The bird sang or flew around enjoying the freedom that came with wings.
The matter was Twilight, pushing her glasses back in place, keeping them from sliding off her nose. It just seem all too real, yesterday she was a she demon wanting to destroy the world to learn more and now. She sat on the stone steps of Canterlot High School, her new school.
One minute she was out of control, next she was sitting on the steps watching, waiting for her new friends to arrive. Being the nerd that she was, Twilight sort of had a habit of going to school to early. It never mattered in Crystal Peep because of the fact that she had nothing else to learn, now she need friendship.
Twilight sigh, no matter that she waited for her new found friends to get to school, but the question couldn't leave her mind.
Are they my friends?
It haunted her, stayed with her, since the end of the Friendship Games. Everyone seems to be cool with it, not the first time someone turn into a she demon but her it was either "meh" or "eh been there, done that." It was just old news, that the news channel put on because nothing else happens.
It all seem to unreal to a point, there she was just sitting along hearing the birds while the wing moved the leaf on the trees. Twilight would have laugh, here to learn about friendship and she was alone just like she was before she meet them.
Rainbow, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rarity and Sunset. Twilight couldn't explain why she felt her checks burn up when she thought about Sunset Shimmer.
She hopes that Sunset doesn't see her with a bright red blush on her cheeks.
"Hey Twilight" the voice, it belongs to none other beside Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight nearly fell backwards if not for Sunset catching her, before the purple skin girl could.
"Easy there Twilight" Sunset said, causing Twilight to bit her lip.
"Where's the others?" Twilight wondered
"They on their way" Sunset said, sitting next to the purple skin girl.
"Oh, so it just you and me. Alone" Twilight said, her blush glowing.
Sunset lay with her eyes closed with her hands resting under her head.
"Yep, that's what's happen us by yourselves. Until our friends show up" Sunset said, Twilight was lucky Sunset didn't see her blush.
"Well...Umm..." Twilight began
Why can't I talk!? Twilight question in thought.
"You okay there Twi?" Sunset asked
"Yeah, I'm fine. It just The Friendship Games won't leave my mind" Twilight said, which made Sunset sit up.
Sunset placed her hand onto Twilight's shoulder, giving her a warm and welcoming smile.
"It be alright Twi' everyone has forgiven you" Sunset said, with Twilight looking away from her.
"Not everyone. I haven't" Twilight said, her eyes open in surprise.
Sunset hugged the purple skin girl, just making Twilight cry. The two girls stayed locked in the warm hug given between the two of them.
"Get a room you two!" Rainbow cried, leaning on the statue.
Twilight and Sunset broke the hug, both blushing like crazy. Making Rainbow Dash let out a laugh at the two.
"Oh sorry we late girls." Fluttershy softly said, walking to catch up with Rainbow.
"It just Pinkie want to see the new party shop" Fluttershy finished explain with a hyper girl rushing onto the scene.
"Well duh, why wouldn't I? So many balloons and party games. I think I found my one true love!" Pinkie said, jumping up and down.
"Your one true love is a party shop?" Twilight question, raising her eyebrow.
"Yep, well into some powerful force make me fall in love with something else" Pinkie said, causing Twilight to shake her head.
"Nothing can change how you feel, besides yourself" Twilight stated
The others soon showed up on the school ground, with the bell ringing to let the students know that class will begin soon.
Twilight sighed, and walked through the halls, waving at the people she passed. There was too much on the young teen mind, but the most important one being what is she feeling when she around her friend. Sunset Shimmer?
Moving to the new school of Canterlot High wasn't to different the real difference was she had friends. But now she gain an stupid school crush on one of them! The milestones of thoughts were too much.
Twilight couldn't and didn't want to lose the friend she just got, if Sunset stop would the others too? Twilight began breathing heavily, in and out, in and out.
Become the laughing stock of the school, make her have to go to another county, change her name to Dawn Crest or she get banish, or locked away or get banish and locked away in the place they banish her too.
Ring. The bell rang throughout the hall, telling everyone that class has began.
Right, class! Twilight thought, running to her classroom.
The bell rang letting the teens out for lunch, which Twilight throughout the whole lesson couldn't get her mind off Sunset.
It seem everything is reminding of her crush, Twilight didn't know to be scared or thankful that her mind off The Friendship Games.
Either way something was on her mind, even to the point of breathing in and out in a fast paced.
"Hey Twi" Rainbow said, causing the girl to scream in surprise.
She blinked and blush while letting out a nervous laugh. Rubbing her shoe on the ground.
Alright play it cool Twilight thought.
"Oh hey Rainbow, what's up how you doing?" Twilight asked
Nailed it.
Rainbow raised her eyebrow at her science nerd.
"If you're trying to be cool it not working" Rainbow said, causing to tighten her fist in anger.
"Yeah, I was just wondering if you seen my soccer ball anywhere?" Rainbow asked
"Umm...No, sorry I have things on my mind." Twilight said, her blush growing making Rainbow grow a smile.
"Ah, I see you got a crush!" Rainbow said, with made Twilight's eyes widen in panic.
"What? No! Don't be silly" Twilight said, with Rainbow pushing her in a playful way. Before she wrap the young nerd in a hug.
"Look Twi, I know I'm awesome and everything. But it just you and I together. Ehh..." Rainbow said causing Twilight to break the hug.
"What? I don't have a crush on you!" Twilight said, making Rainbow blink in confusion.
"Huh, now I just feel silly" Rainbow said, before her phone started ringing.
"Hello? Oh hey Pinks, I don't know comb the halls Rainbow said, before hanging up.
"Don't you think she going to take that too literal?" Twilight wondered, causing Rainbow to let out a small laugh.
"Please this is Pinkie Pie one of my best friends. You haven't been here long, but..." Rainbow said before the idea came to her mind.
"Oh shoot, I gonna go!" Rainbow cried out running.
Applejack walked down the halls to get to her locker to see Pinkie Pie, the party person, combing the halls with a real comb.
"Pinkie what the heck are ya doin'?" Applejack asked.
"Well Dashie is look for her soccer ball. So, she ask me to comb the hall." Pinkie said beaming her smile.
"Don't ya think ya being too literal?
"What? No you silly billy, I'm helping Dashie by following her orders. She told me to comb the halls, so I'm combing it!" Pinkie said, causing Applejack to raise her eyebrow.
"Found anything yet?" She asked
"Nothing yet, Jackie" Pinkie stated
"How about now?" Applejack question a smile growing on her lips.
"Not a thing duh" Pinkie stated.
"What about now with ya mini comb?" Applejack last question.
"I ain't found anything alright!" Pinkie cried out, throwing the comb on the floor.
Rainbow rushed onto the scene almost out of breath. Holding onto the wall.
"Pinkie don't comb the halls!" Rainbow cried out. Before she saw her friend and no combs. "Huh?"
"It wasn't working out" Pinkie said, causing Applejack to shake her head.
"I meant look through the halls!" Rainbow said, correcting herself.
"Then you should have just said that. Silly billy" Pinkie said, before she bounce away searching through the halls.
"Have you seen my soccer ball?" Rainbow asked
"Nope, sorry ah'll help ya look for it. Ma help with whatever Pinkie does" Applejack said, with the two teens seeing Pinkie playing with string.
"Thanks, AJ" Rainbow said
"So why did ya say comb, when ya should know Pinkie would take that literal?" Applejack wondered.
"Twilight said the same thing" Rainbow said, with a sigh.
Sunset smiled seeing that Rainbow made her get away to stop Pinkie from combing the halls. Sunset move her fist in victory, sure she own Pinkie a week of sweets but it will all be great, once her plans reaches the end.
Breathing in and out, smiling brightly Sunset walked over and waved.
"Hey Twi" Sunset said, with Twilight looking over whelmed.
"Oh, hey Sunset, Sunny, Shimmering there" Twilight said getting a eye roll for her pun.
"Yeah, do you have anything plan?" Sunset question
"No, why?"
Sunset began to rubbed her foot on the ground, her nerves eating her up inside.
"Well you look so stress, maybe we can take a walk on the beach. Lunch is in a few minutes-" Sunset said, her eyes moving all over the place.
"YES!" Twilight shouted a bit too loud
"I mean, yes. I'll love too" Twilight said, with a sheepish smile.
"Great, it's a date" Sunset said, before she walked away.
DATE!? Twilight scream in thought.
"Date? Maybe , but this is just two friends hanging out, so why did she say date? No, I'm thinking about this too much or am I? Sunset would like me like I like her but does she like my pony counterpart or me? I'm nothing like her!" Twilight cried out in a panic, walking back and forth.
"No, yes, no, yes, no, yes....." Twilight repeated, sitting on the outside table.
On her midday panic, Twilight sort of wondered how she ended outside. Scratching her head, asking if she really wasn't paying attention while walking.
Twilight fell on the table with a silent scream. Her eye started to twitch, seeing herself in a puddle.
"Alright Twilight, Sunset will be here soon, just keep it together. Keep it together!" Twilight said, letting out a crazy laugh.
Sunset blinked at Twilight looking like she has gone insane.
"Umm...Twi, are you alright?" Sunset question, causing the science nerd to fall on the ground.
Twilight stood up quickly, dusting herself off, smiling at Sunset. All craziness gone by a snap of a finger.
"Yeah, of course I am. Let go" Twilight said, causing Sunset to let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, alright. Let go" Sunset said, with the two girls leaving the school.
Rainbow sometimes wonder what the meaning of life is? A movie she watched answer that question with "42" but now, seeing Pinkie questioning a Gold Fish about a soccer ball she began to think otherwise.
Rainbow thought that the answer "42" was all a lie. Even with Applejack down the halls, Rainbow kept a close eye on her hyper friend but as Rarity put it in no words but just a shrug.
The rainbow hair girl would like to take on those Sirens and maybe even a evil Demon again. But how Pinkie works is life's greatest mystery.
How she grows wings? Doesn't care because for the most part those are awesome. But Pinkie Pie, the girl is uncontrollable, she hyper, eats sugar, whole cakes by herself. Somehow not gaining any weight.
But she is cute Rainbow thought about friend with a smile.
Pinkie played by a vending machine, somehow getting trapped in there. Rainbow let out a small laugh, keeping her thoughts about Pinkie to herself. While she went to help her out, smiling at her new found crush.
"Rainbow darling!" Rarity cried out, walking as fast as she could. Not daring to break a sweat.
"Yeah Rare?" Rainbow asked
"I found your soccer ball in the gym. Here you go dear, you need to look after your stuff more" Rarity said, giving Rainbow her favorite soccer ball.
"Thanks Rarity I owe you one!" Rainbow cried out
"I'll keep that in mind, darling why is Pinkie in the vending machine?" Rarity asked, with Rainbow letting out a small laugh.
"She was helpin' me out, mind leading me a hand on getting her out?" Rainbow asked
"I don't mind at all" Rarity said with a smile.
While Twilight and Sunset walked on the sandy beach with the ocean hitting the land and going back. The sound of the sea, calm Twilight to make her have a clear head.
The site of the sun reflecting off the blue ocean creating beautiful colours. Twilight smiled, with the beach being a place where she could just sit and think about whatever she wanted.
Sunset took Twilight's hand in her own while the science nerd was looking around and listening the the gentle sounds of the ocean.
Twilight's eyes widen with her blush returning back to her cheeks, at how her hand is now locked with her crush. The purple haired girl smiled at the warm feeling that Sunset hand bought.
Sunset's eyes and head was turned away, not daring to show her blush. Twilight broke the hand holding much to Sunset's surprise.
Sunset turn to look at Twilight just to have a pair of lips connect with her's. Sunset couldn't believe, shocked at first before she closed her eyes, pulling Twilight closer by a hug. Making the kiss more passionate and heated.
Breaking apart from the kiss, breathing in the air the two lost.
"So you like me I guess" Sunset joked causing Twilight to roll her eyes.
"What made you say that?" She asked crossing her arms.
"Well that kiss for starters. But I like you too Twi-" Sunset started
"What Twilight me or my pony counterpart?" Twilight question
"What, pony Twilight isn't like you. I don't know why but something about you is just more beautiful" Sunset said with a smile.
"Is that why you brought me to the beach Sunset? To say how much you love me?" Twilight asked with Sunset giving a shrug.
"I like you too Sunset, ever since The Friendship Games. Just how beautiful you looked and how you saved me, I thought that I would have to leave with the nightmares of that day forever. But something about you just stops me" Twilight said.
"Well you were going crazy before our date" Sunset said, putting her hand on her chin.
"That was for other reasons" Twilight stated.
"Sure it was Twi, sure it was" Sunset said letting out a friendly laugh.
"Oh you're lucky I like you Sunset" Twilight said, making Sunset smile.
"Oh yes, I am. You are too." Sunset said, which made Twilight press her lips to Sunset's for a quick kiss.
"That I am, come on we need to get to school" Twilight said, before running with Sunset following behind her new found girlfriend.
