Sparkling Radiance's POV
Ponies must think being the daughter of a Princess is amazing. Believe me, it's not. Firstly, you have to wake up at the crack of dawn once a week to get ready for a speech. All of the time that you get ready you think 'I wish Celestia would just take a break and not raise the sun so early.' In the winter it's easier because the sun doesn't rise until about 9:00.
Secondly, everypony crowds around you, like you're some tourist attraction. I just want some peace and time alone, I don't need your attention. They always get on my nerves. They're just like "Ooh, you're Sparkling Radiance, Princess Twilight's daughter. Can we take a picture?" Obviously I always say no because I don't know who you are so please leave me alone.
Finally thirdly, you get a lot of hate. I constantly get hate saying 'Why are you sad? You have no reason to complain. You're a Princess' daughter.' That doesn't sound too bad but say it in the right tone of voice and it's horrible. Luckily I'm a pegasus so I'll never be a Princess unless Celestia is just like 'Have a horn,' when I'm older and I have to do boring speeches and other stuff princesses do.
There is one upside, and that is all the amazing friends you'll make. Luckily I got the Princess of Friendship for a mother so she has 6 friends and they all had at least one kid. I might as well fill you in on the details now I've started to talk about them.
First we have Lollipop. Now she might as well be the clone of her mom, Pinkie Pie; they're so similar. There are a few differences here and there. Like Pinkie likes to be with ponies all of the time, while Lollipop prefers to have some alone time now and a again. Pinkie is also extremely energetic, but Lollipop is the slowest pony I know. But she is still loveable and happy. She has a light pink fur and a brown mane. He cutie mark is three dark purple lollipops.
Next is Apple Crumble. Now if you couldn't guess by his name, his favorite food is apple crumble. It's a tradition in his family to have a name that is either a type of apple or a food with apple in it. The only two ponies in his family that don't follow that tradition are his mom, Apple Jack, and his aunt, Apple Bloom. Apple Crumble was the only name left that was apple related so it stuck. Well, he is in the Apple family. He's probably the most sympathetic and caring member of our group. He tends to keep himself to himself and doesn't really leave his house that often. He has a dark orange coat with a yellow and red mane. His cutie mark is a dark green apple with an oat on it.
Now it's Thunder. You can't miss him. He'll probably be sending the clouds in a frenzy trying to make them in the shape of his cutie mark. He normally does things that he knows he'll get attention for. Things like pretending to save a foal from a burning building. He did that once and let's say it earned him more than one trip to the hospital. He's fine now though so don't worry. As soon as he got out, he whizzed straight into a storm cloud and got electrocuted. It's natural for him to go fast, seeing as though he's the son of two of the Wonderbolts, the most supreme fliers in all of Equestria. He sometimes has the same things as me, publicity. Except he laps up every opportunity to gloat and get more attention. He is such an attention seeker but I think it will help him in the long run, especially if he wanted to become famous. He has a dark blue coat and his mane is green, red and orange. His cutie mark is a cloud with light orange lightning bolts shooting out of it.
Next is Honey Lily. Now her name may sound sweet, but believe me she is the exact opposite of sweet. She regularly gets in trouble at school for bullying other ponies, she plays pranks on everypony and is just rude in general. It's kind of ironic how her mom, Fluttershy, is an absolute nature freak, but Honey would destroy all of the plants and animals that got in her way if she could. She hates things all flowery and girly. She says that they 'make her want to puke'. I reckon she would prefer if all of nature would just die. She is Apple Crumble's cousin. Her coat is red and her mane is light pink. Her cutie mark is a tree with a massive cross on top of it to symbolize her hatred for nature.
Finally it's Midnight Jewel. I don't think she likes living in Ponyville. She would prefer it in somewhere like Manehattan, where everything is closer together. She likes things to be small, or 'compact' as she would say. She also says that the dirt paths of Ponyville stick into her hooves like no-ones business. She wants a business right now but I tell her that we're just 13 so it's not legal yet. She is probably the most mature and articulate out of all of us. Her coat is white and her mane is blue. Her cutie mark is the moon with a diamond in the middle.
I guess if I described all of my friends I need to describe myself. So my name's Sparkling Radiance. My mom, like I said earlier, is Princess Twilight Sparkle and my dad is Flash Sentry, one of the Royal Guards. I guess you could say I'm smart. I get mostly As at school, so I'm not bad. Apparently I'm a really good child (according to my mom). I'm an purple pegasus and my mane is purple on one side and blue on the other, separated by a thin strip of pink. My cutie mark is a blue star with a white sparkle on it.
Now if you haven't gathered it yet, we are all the children of the bearers of the famous 'Elements of Harmony'. That wouldn't really set us apart from anypony. Nothing bad's going to happen to us.
