As all six colorful ponies walked in, they all stared at me like an alien, obviously. It didn’t take too long from all the silent and staring, hopefully one of them decides to break the awkwardness.
“Hello there.” The purple one is the first to say. “I want to thank you again, for saving me in the forest. How do you feel?”
“I feel… strange actually. But I'm okay though.” How come I did not notice that about my body. I feel like a mix between shocked and excited, warm sensation flow inside, and my brain feels a little smarter. I did a memory check on everything, of where I live, where I'm from, what I like, etc. Not only that, looking at these six ponies made me feel flushed of nostalgia, like I've seen them before and very giddy too. “How about you? Are you okay?”
“Oh! Yes, I am. Thank you.” She said with relief. “Let us introduce ourselves. My name is Twilight Sparkle. This here is Applejack.” She points to the orange and blond pony with their red apples on her flank.
“Howdy!” Said Applejack, “Ah appreciate you savin’ my friend in the forest, and to thank you, I'll give ya a grand tour at Sweet Apple Acres and the farm if you have a chance.”
“Oh! Much obliged.” I said in a way that fits by her accent. I didn't know they have a farm here, but, I'm interested of what she will show me around.
“Ok. And here's Rarity.” Twilight points to the white and violet unicorn with three diamond gems on her flank. But, her image is beautiful out of all.
“Hello darling.” Said Rarity, ”I took the liberty to refine your clothing and made you that gown you're wearing." she showed me my clothes and jacket that both look pretty much brand new, and puts them back in her bag, "And I must say, I have never seen any design THIS unique and unreal! Perhaps, you can come to my boutique and I can conjure up more of your clothing?”
“That… would be great! And thank you so much… miss.” Again, saying in a way that fits for her, she even giggled after that.
“Alright.” Twilight spoke up, “Next we have Rainbow Dash.”
“Hey there!” Said the raspy pegasus pony who's both cyan and rainbow with a cloud and rainbow-bolt mark on her flank. “Just so you know, I'm the world's fastest flier in Equestria.”
There it is again, Equestria, it sounded like a name of their land. And, why does it sound so familiar? “Wow! Really?” I started in amazement, "That's cool! I can tell just by looking at you, and your name. You're like an another definition of cool.”
“Wow! You totally get it new guy, even though you're not from around here. And can I ask? What are you anyw-”
“Ahbubububup! We will ask him questions AFTER our greetings.” Twilight interrupted Rainbow Dash making her pout. “Okay, next up is-”
“Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!” That squeaky pink and magenta pony with three bloons on her flank surprised the hell out of me! “It'sgreatmeetingyouhere! IworkatabakerycalledSugarCubeCorner! Doyoulilkecake? Ilikecake. Doyoulikecupcakes? Ilikecupecakes. Whatflavordoyoulike? Vanillachocolateredvelv-”
“PINKIE PIE!” Twilight yelled making her stop, “What did I say? Greetings first, THEN questions.”
“Sorry.” Pinkie said with an innocent smile making me chuckle.
“Sorry about that. Pinkie here is always this-”
“Jumpy?” I said knowing what Twilight would say, “Don't worry about it. It's okay.”
“Right.” Said Twilight, “So last, there's Fluttershy.”
The yellow and pink pony with three butterflies on her flank appears behind the group in a shyly manner. “Um. Hello.” she said quietly.
I can hear her small voice, and when I look at her, something hit me. “Urk!” I clutched my chest and fell back to my bed.
“Oh no! Are you ok!” Twilight said worriedly along with the others.
“Yeah I'm okay. Just a hiccup.” I said in a flemmy voice. All of these ponies are cute and all, but, THAT YELLOW ONE, Wins by a landslide! Who knew that this pony turn out to be… what's that word? Oh yeah! Kawaii! (Imitating Japanese Girl voice)
“Geez! Don't scare us like that.” Twilight said
“Sorry! That doesn't normally happen” I smiled sheepishly.
“Okay! Now the moment we've all been waiting for. I will be the one asking you two basic questions and I'll ask some other questions once you are checked out of here.” Said Twilight.
“You don't have to ask me the first two questions.” I said knowing what she will ask me. As I right myself up, I began, “Hello. My name is Jyro Gunner. Just call me Jyro. And I am called a human, a male of my species.” They all ‘Oooo’ from my answer. “And yes.” I looked at Pinkie, “I do like cake and cupcakes.”
“YAY!” she bounced happily as Twilight rolled her eyes not amused, as I chuckled.
“Where do you live?” asked Twilight.
“I live in Los Angeles, California. My hometown.”
“How did you get here?”
“I don't know really. I was sleeping in my bed and I woke up in the forest, then I ran into you.”
“Hm. Well that settles it. I'll ask you more questions when you're checked out.”
“Ok. But, I have questions too.” Twilight and the others were ready to listen. “Where am I, what country is this, and what is this land inhabited with.” As I said that question, Twilight and the others were surprised. I guess the nurse forgot to mention it.
“Oh. Nurse Redheart didn't tell you? Well you're in Ponyville Hospital, the town you're in now is Ponyville, this entire land is called Equestria, and the whole land is inhabited by ponies that are both pegasi, unicorn, and earth ponies like us. And other creatures live among us too, but, I'll explain that later.” Twilight explained before Nurse Redheart came in the room. I guess I wasn't aware that she left while I was answering questions. (Ponyville? Equestria? And two pony species that I thought were , myth!? Why can't my head puzzle all this!?)
“Good news… uh, Jyro, is it?” asked Nurse Redheart, I nodded, “I talked to the doctor, discussing about your condition and he said that you are good to go. Come at the front desk to check out when you're ready.”
“Oh okay. Thank you Nurse.” As I climbed out of the twin sized hospital bed, everyone in the room are amazed of my height and size seeing something that stands on two legs. I also realized how short they are.
“Woah! You're so, big!” said Rainbow Dash as she gawked at me.
“*snicker* And you're all so, little.” I said a little amused. After I stretched and cracked a few bones, Rarity asked me something.
“Excuse me darling, but, what are those?” she pointed at my hands.
“What, these? They are called hands and the little long and short things are my fingers.” I explained motioning my hands and fingers. “I use them to grab, hold, and other things. So, they are an important use for me to have them.” they, 'oooh' again after that, making me chuckle a little.
“Well, I find it fascinating, but, a little odd.” Rarity eyes gleam upon my hands until she snapped out. “Oh, how rude of me. Here are the clothes I repaired for you.” she surprised me by handing me my floating clothes covered in some blueish aura.
“Whoa! How did you? Is that?” I was lost with words, I started moving my hands around my clothes thinking there is a string holding them. My eyes widen of what I hardly believe is now right front of me.
“Uh hello? Your clothes are right there.” Rainbow Dash said while I was still examining.
“No strings. Is this what I think it is?” I said, still wide-eyed my floating clothes.
“What's the matter? Have you ever seen magic where you come from?” Twilight asked.
“Illusions? Yes. Magic? An imaginative inspiration. But MAGIC Magic? Not one human, including me has ever witnessed it!” As I took my clothes from Rarity’s magical grasp, it has a slight tingle sensation. “This is amazing! Real magic! I guess only unicorns can use magic right?”
“As far as we know, yes.” answered Twilight, “I had no idea you have such interest in magic.”
“I do. But, I will talk about it more once I get out.” As I was about to get ready, I realized that they are still here, staring me, “Um... can I get some privacy when I'm changing please?” They all tilt their heads one side wondering why.
“Why? There's nothing wrong that you're not wearing anything.” said Twilight.
“Well...umm… for me it is… and since you're all girls… and I'm a guy… but for me, it’s… embarrassing.” I'm trying my best to reason them, but, they are not buying it.
“I don't see why though.” Twilight and the others are clueless, except for Rarity.
“*gasp*Oh my! Um...girls.” They all turned to her. “It's best that we give him some privacy. Let's all just wait outside.” she shove them out the door. I even saw her face turned pink with a worried look.
Twilight protested, “Why? I don't understa-”
“JUSTGOI’LLEXPLAIN!” She successfully shove them all out in a panic for me to wait. Who knew that these girls are so comical.
As I took of my gown, my face also turned pink realizing that Rarity did check me out just for making me this gown. I even looked at a mirror nearby and see the color. I guess it's a new feature to this world. I should've known that she would do this for me, she's really sweet. I don’t really blame her for checking me out.(NO PUN INTENDED?) As I finished getting ready and put on my jacket, I went out of my room to see if the girls are still waiting. Instead, it was only just, Twilight Sparkle, waiting.
“Hey Twilight. Where are the rest of them?.” I asked.
“Oh. They all went back doing their business. So, I guess I'll be giving you a tour around town.” she said.
“Oh, okay then. Let's go.” I said as we walked, then Twilight apologized about something.
“Hey Jyro.” I looked at her, “I wanted to apologies… about the... thing… when you were changing. I had no idea, so…I... ” she said hanging her head low and turning red.
“*chuckle* It’s no problem Twilight. You didn’t know why us humans are capable in dress code, so, it’s not your fault.” I said to reassure her and she lift up not worried.
“Thank you Jyro. It's just, I didn’t know that you humans were THAT exposed without clothing.” she said.
“Ju- uh- *growl* Can we PLEASE not talk about that here!” I said stuttering.
“Okay okay. But, I am interested.” she said as I look at her giving me that look.
“*sigh* I take it you’re the research type huh?” she made a wide sheepish smile and I find it funny and cute. ….Welp! I guess it's only one pony so… “Okay. We’ll get to that point sooner or later.”
“Yes yes yes Y-”
“BUT!” I interrupt her little chant, I became a little serious, “This only stays between us, understand?”
Twilight cleared her throat and controlled herself, “Yes.”
As we proceed to the front desk of the hospital, I saw Nurse Redheart again. “Hello Nurse. I want to thank you again for taking care of me, I really appreciate it.” I smiled.
“It's no problem! I always take care of my patients. Now just sign here and you're good to go.” she said by giving me the clipboard to sign.
“Thank you again, Nurse. I'll see you again, if I ever get hurt.” I said making her giggle.
“*giggle* Will do. Take care of yourself.” she said as we say our goodbyes.
As Twilight and I walked out of the hospital, my eyes were blind by the sun a little and what I see amazed me I that I'm at a cute and peaceful looking town.
“So, this is Ponyville.”
“Yes, but, we are at the edge of it. And I'll be giving you a tour of the town today. Shall we get going?” she said.
I took a deep breath, smelling the fresh air, and not a hint of smoke, smog, or gasoline. “Sure! Let's go!”
