CMC Helpers

Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle sat at their table in their clubhouse with the expression of boredom displayed on their faces. They tapped their pens, while thinking of ideas to write down in their notebooks.

"Maybe we could.." Apple Bloom began. She did not finish her sentence, because she had an idea that they already attempted, and failed as a result.

"I can't think out anything!" Scootaloo blurted out. "It seems like we've tried everything!"

"Maybe there could be more ways," said Sweetie Belle. "I mean, we won't remain blank flanks forever, right?"

"I've got it!" Exclaimed Apple Bloom. Let's help out around Ponyville!"

"Didn't we already do that?" Asked Scootaloo.

"Do you have a better idea?" Apple Bloom asked seriously.

The CMC trotted out into Ponyville in search of any ponies who are in need of help. As they were walking in the streets, they spotted Twilight loading a large amount of books into the castle to her big library. The three fillies ran to approach the lavender alicorn.

"Twilight! Twilight!" Sweetie Belle clamored. When she finally got there, she paused for a few moments to catch her breath before saying, "do you need any help with those books?"

"Thanks for the offer, but I think I got it," Twilight replied.

"But you must need some help? right. I mean everypony needs some help," Sweetie Belle said, looking desperate.

"Actually, girls, I-"

Twilight was cut off by Scootaloo. "Don't worry, Twilight, we'll get it for you!" The three fillies ran to get some books.

Twilight rolled her eyes with a smile before saying, "they'll learn someday."

Meanwhile, the CMC started shelving books as fast as possible. They tried to speed up their process, since there were large stacks of books. Sweetie Belle tried her best to levitate a few books, she was only starting to learn how to properly use her magic. Apple Bloom tried to fit all of the books in her mouth, because she found that as the most effective way. Then she spitted out all the books, and went on for more. Scootaloo whizzed through all the books, trying to shelve them as fast as possible, though a lot of the books were falling off the shelves, and landing in a mess on the floor.

Twilight came to check in in them. "Hey girls, how are you..." Twilight stopped in the middle of her sentence. She took one look at the sight of her library. All the books were on the floor, some pages were torn out, and they were all in huge piled. Twilight's library was a disaster. She gasped at the sight, now believing her eyes. For a moment, she stood like that, the expression frozen on her face until Scootaloo approached her.

"Um, Twilight? Are you okay?" She asked, tapping Twilight on her leg.

"What? Oh, I'm... Fine," Twilight strained on her answer, for she very well knew she wasn't fine at all. She had just ordered these new books, and now they're all ruined. Twilight tried to speak to the three little fillies in the most nicest, politest way possible. "Well, girls, I think I can shelve up the rest. You see... I actually scheduled to shelve the books. You've done your share, thank you." Twilight's eye twitched, as she smiled as widely as she could.

The fillies looked for any chance of gaining their destined mark on their rear, but no such luck. They all sighed, but tried to hide their disappointment from Twilight. "You're welcome, Twilight. Maybe we could help you with any other books, or something next time," Sweetie Belle politely offered.

After they walked out the door, Twilight quietly muttered, "oh, sweet Celestia, I hope not."

As the CMC were once again in the streets of Ponyville, Sweetie Belle thought, there must be another pony who also needs out help. Hey, didn't Rarity say she was busy with a design she was working on?

"I've got it! I know another person who may need our help!" Sweetie Belle excitedly announced.

"We can help you with your design, Rarity. We are very good assistants," Sweetie Belle said.

"Um... Well.." Rarity tried to think up of an excuse to say. She had seen what happened when Sweetie Belle and her friends tried to help her with something. "Well, you see... I have to go... go walk my dog,"

"But we don't have a dog," Sweetie Belle said.

"It lives in the Everfree Forest," Rarity said.

"But why would you leave your dog at the Everfree Forest unattended. If it's your dog, then you have to take care of it," Sweetie Belle said.

"Oh, it can take care of itself, because its my...Cousin! Yeah, my older cousin," Rarity said,. She instantly regretted her words.

"We have a cousin who's a dog?" Sweetie Belle questioned.

"Yes, it's our adopted cousin," Rarity replied.

"So, you need to walk your older cousin who's a dog who lives in the Everfree Forest?" Apple Bloom questioned.

"Um, yes," Rarity hesitantly replied. She hoped they would believe her excuse.

"Okay!" Sweetie Belle said. She and her friends walked away to find somepony else in need. Rarity sighed. Before Sweetie Belle was out of sight, she said, "I can't wait to meet our new adopted cousin! Can we have a picnic with our cousin Rarity? Please?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Of course, darling," Rarity replied. Once they were finally out of sight, Rarity slammed a hoof in her face. Oh, Celestia, save me

Just as they were walking, a blue unicorn grabbed them by their hooves, and led them to a side. "The Great And Powerful Trixie is in need of your help!" She announced.

"Finally, a pony who actually asked for our help!" Sweetie Belle said.

"Wait, shouldn't we stay away from her? My big sis always tells me she often pulls other ponies in trouble," Apple Bloom said.

"Who cares? She's a pony in need!" Scootaloo said. "We'll help you, Trixie!"

"The Great And Powerful Trixie thanks you!" Trixie announced.

"So what do you need help with, Trixie?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Trixie is in need of assistance for the magic show," Trixie responded.

"Okay, let's get started!" Apple Bloom said.

After they set up all the props, the show began. Surprisingly, a large parentage of ponies showed up, despite the fact of Trixie's overconfidence. A lot of ponies think it's because they like to throw stuff at Trixie after she finished her show.

"Welcome to the Great And Powerful Trixie's magic show!" Trixie announced. "For my first act, I will pick a rabbit from my magical wizard hat!" Trixie took off her hat, and stuck her hoof inside. But when she held out her hoof, instead of a rabbit, she pulled out a carrot. Trixie looked at the unamused crowd "I told you to get a rabbit!" Trixie whispered quietly.

"A rabbit? Oh, I thought you said carrot!" Apple Bloom whispered back. Trixie smiled nervously at the crowd. She felt so humiliated for her mess up. Just then, and angry rabbit came charging towards her, and tried to strangle her.

"Oh, and we also borrowed Angel's lunch, so I hope you won't mind," Apple Bloom whispered to Trixie.

After they managed to get the angry Angel off of Trixie, they moved onto the second act. "For my next act, I will make an object disappear!" Trixie put a chocolate bar under a cup she put on the table. When she removed the cup, the chocolate was gone. But when she put the cup back down, and removed it again, the chocolate was still gone. When she turned to one of her assistants, Sweetie Belle was munching on the chocolate. Trixie shot her a glare.

"What? You said you would make it disappear, so I helped you," Sweetie Belle said.

"Now, for my final act, I shall make a pony disappear!" Trixie announced. Apple Bloom stepped into the colorful magic box Trixie had next to her. Trixie muttered the magic words, and opened the box. The pony was gone. She muttered her magic words again, but there was still no pony. Trixie checked again, and looked to her assistants, but it seems that they didn't know what happened to Apple Bloom either.

"Hey, Trixie," Apple Bloom said, standing at Trixie's side.

"Eep!" Trixie fell off the stage, startled by Apple Bloom's appearance. The crowd was suddenly throwing tomatoes at the stage.

"Run!" Apple Bloom said, and the CMC ran for cover.

Once they escaped the magic show, and were back in the streets again,Sweetie Belle said, "well, that was a disaster."

"So, maybe helping Trixie was a bad idea. Applejack was right," Apple Bloom said. Her face suddenly brightened up. "Hey, speaking of Applejack, maybe the needs help on the farm!"

Back on Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack said, "sure you can help out! We can always use a lending hoof."

First, the CMC decided to buck some apples. Scootaloo kicked her rear legs on the tree, but nothing happened. She kicked again, but nothing still happened. Irritated, Scootaloo kicked as hard as she could, and this time, all of the apples fell, and heavily landed in a heap on Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, who had buckets on their heads. They shot Scootaloo glares, and Scootaloo gave a sheepish smile.
Next, the CMC decided to back some apple cupcakes for the family business.

Meanwhile, Rarity and Applejack went shopping together.

"So, how are things on the farm?" Rarity casually asked.

"Oh, everything's fine. Apple Bloom and her friends are helping out," Applejack replied.

Rarity froze, worry spread though her expression. Applejack nudged her friend.

"Uh, Rarity? You okay?" Applejack asked.

"Did you say Apple Bloom and her friends were helping out?" Rarity asked.

"Uh, yeah," Applejack answered.

"Bad things happen when those three fillies help out! I know they're only little, but they still need to learn. They'll be more mature when they earn their cutie marks, but right now, bad things happen!" Rarity said.

Applejack recalled the time when those girls were helping out Twilight load her books this morning. Twilight had told her about it. Applejack's expression shifted into worry like rarity's.

"I'll be right back!" She said, rushing back to Sweet Apple Acres as fast as she could.

"STOP!" Applejack barged into the kitchen. The CMC were just about to put the cupcakes in the oven. They froze to Applejack's sudden appearance.

"Is something wrong, big sis?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Well, you see," Applejack sighed, knowing it would be hard to explain this to the fillies. "Sometimes, there are things that you are ready to do, things that you have achieved over time. But sometimes, there are other things that you should wait for, like your cutie marks. I know you all want to have your cutie marks right now, but you have to wait until the time comes. You all have to understand that now, because, sometimes, bad things could happen if you decide to not wait."

"O...kay?" Sweetie Belle said.

"It means you have to wait for your cutie marks," Applejack stated seriously.

"Ohhh," The CMC said.

"Okay, Applejack!" Sweetie Belle said. "We'll wait for our cutie marks."

one week later...

Fire trucks lined up around Sugarcube Corner, because apparently, the stove caught on fire. Rarity, Twilight, and Applejack looked at the sight.

"They were trying to get their cutie marks again?" Rarity asked.

"Yup," Applejack answered.

"They'll learn," Twilight said. "Someday they'll learn,
