The Hunt For The Anwsers

As the sun has raised and the sunlight hit the window where Firespark is sleeping in. The room filled with the light, this causes her to wake up, but this only made her just want to sleep-in for a little bit.

Firespark is getting and up and out of bed. She knows it's time for her to start setting up and get ready before she goes off and catch this vampire. For all, she cares that this is just another one to take down but little did she know that this is not going to be the case. The cool morning air only made her think about the times she enters the abandoned cottage from long ago. She looks out the window and looks at the scenery of Ponyville in autumn. Sighing to herself knowing that this place brings back memories and how it all started from long ago.

Firespark snaps out it and starts to go back to work on her set up in bags. She is used to killing a lot of vampires over the time, and she is just happy to try to catch one for the princess. This is the first time for to do it, so she is more likely is going to get something good out it. Her mind wanders off about this vampire and amount of clues she has gathered over time.

*What does this all means... She is left out from an old bounty that somepony should have taken on a long time ago... Princess Twilight wants her either dead or alive brought to her... And that clan leader has something to do with it... I guess once I catch her I should get answers from her because she is the only one that knows why is everything that is happening to her... Might as well get something to eat before I do this hunt...*
She thought to herself.

Surprising enough, the day she is going to catch this vampire falls on Nightmare Night. To her, it was just a coincidence this is happening to her, like she did in the past, just by going to that cottage.

So she heads off to go about her day in Ponyville and see what she might have missed. Knowing a lot of ponies well be coming to up her since nopony as seen her since she has left town long ago. With that thought in mind, she might get into some festive events for fun before does this.

...The fallowing night of Nightmare Night....

After some hours of fun, it has to come to an end, and Firespark began her journey to the Everfree forest. As soon it got dark out the woods, a storm starts to kick up. She always wonders why the weather is so weird there since she has been a filly. As she goes through the thickly wooded area and the only thing that is guiding her through the darkness of the night is a lantern. Firespark only few thing to worry about these wood of the Everfree forest, that is Timberwolves, manticores, cockatrices and poison joke. So far nothing has happened in the meantime of walking through the woods, but it was quiet, too quiet for her liking. She knows what this only means there is something wrong in the area and keeping other woodland creatures at bay. She looks around just to be sure that isn't anything besides trees and shrubs. The howls of Timberwolves can be heard not far where she is at, and she started to look for where the cries are coming. She had her weapon at the ready, waiting for the moment they would attack her. Firespark knows that loud noises will scare them off for now. She also knows that something else will come along just by hearing the sound that she makes.

She continues to look for any signs of danger and do her best to stay silenced for the Timberwolves, and their stink is strong. Finally, they howl right next to her. She quickly looks for where they're at in the woods. She immediately places the lantern down somewhere so it can illuminate the small area opening. The first assault of attacks from the Timberwolves begin, and she is quick to dodge their attacks. She jumps into the air and strike down the first of three Timberwolves with a weapon that works best against them. She pulverizes one of them into a steamy pile wood bits. Her sights are now set on the next two on the field. Firespark dodges the next round of moves that the Timberwolves jump at her or swipes with their claws.

She continues the attack against them and taking down the next one. Only one is left, but it stops its assault at her. Then it just turns and takes off running with it tail between its legs.

"That's what you get for messing with me, you stinky fire logs!"
She shouts at them.

With a sigh of relief, Firespark can continue her journey to the cottage, but a big paw hit her that she didn't see coming. She is sent flying to a tree and hit hard.

*SMACK* And a flash of red before her eyes. Before she knows it, she was struck down.

"AAAaaa...!!!"
She screams in pain.

Firespark didn't realize that she got a little careless before she got hit by this big paw. When she can see what hit and to her surprise, it was a manticore standing in front of her, and it's hissing at her. She quickly gets up and get ready for another assault by the beast and by the looks of it, it is hungry for blood. The monster begins its attack at Firespark, but she is quick to dodge its attacks. She then quickly switches weapons that can effectively take down the manticore and stop it from attacking her. Firespark jumps back and then ready's herself with the weapon, then she begins to charge at the beast. When the weapon hits the manticore not only it stops it in its tracks. The monster is stunned but it still have a lot of fight in it, and it's not easily to be taking down so quick.

The manticore snaps out it and goes for the move in on her. Firespark does not want to take any more punishment from the beast. So she uses that weapon once more, and this time, she knock out the monster. It fell making a loud thump noise, Firespark in the corner is breathing heavily.

The adrenaline has stopped as she calms down then the pain follows up on her. All she could feel is pain from her ribs.

*Ack...! That hurts a lot...!*
She thought to herself.

The storm begins to rain where she is at, and she needed to get out the rain soon. The only option she had left is the old cottage in the forest, and lucky for her it's not too far from where she is at in the woods.

So she starts to make her way to it and all could feel is more pain with each step of the way. She could almost see the house behind some tree of the forest. It's dark, but there is some light coming from the windows at the cottage, Firespark has a hard time to focus. All she know at that point is that Manticore did a number on her. What she didn't know that she looks like a mess with some blood coming from her mouth and bruises al over her body. When she finally made it to the cottage, she checked herself and realized that she have more injuries. At this point, she hopes that this vampire is not going to overpower her, but she does some strength to at least fight back if she had to.

Firespark goes ahead and enters the old cottage of the forest. As she closed the door behind her and she sighed to herself.

*Well this place looks as it did long ago... Let's see if that vampire is still here.*
She says to herself.

As she looks to the left then to the right just to see if there are any signs of the vampire. What she doesn't know the Vampire have sense her presence in the cottage. Fluttershy decided to hide in the corner of the behind the ruined couch.

Firespark took a few steps towards the hallway of the place, unaware of what awaits hidden behind the old furniture. Then suddenly the vampire jumps out at her, but Firespark is quick to react to the leap at her. She jumps to the side and gets out her weapon and swing at the vampire, but she ducks nearly missing her head. They both back off each other, and now they're in a standoff, staring at each other down. Firespark speaks up.

"What the hell are you doing!?"
She'd yelled.

Fluttershy dips her head down and then responses to her.

"I'm sorry.... I was just trying to be scary.... It is Nightmare Night after all... I don't like this holiday very much, but it's been so long since anypony have come here... So... You're the hunter that came for me... Right...?"

Firespark steps back and readies herself to fight with this vampire, but she isn't expecting what's going to happen next. The vampire slowly comes close to the hunter and her red eyes stare down Firespark slowly making her stay still. She knows, she have to do something to stop the vampire approach, so she yell at her.

"What are you trying to do!? Take another step, and I'm going to kill you!"

The vampire didn't stop, and she has her head down low as tears start hitting the ground. Like she was giving her last thoughts of life and how it will end...

"Dear Hunter... Please end this life of mines. I've grown so tired of this pain... Of being alone... All I wanted to have is to be with my friends... That have passed away..."
The vampire pleaded.

"Ok. Just so that you know, you're making this too easy for me to do this against you."
Firespark's eyebrow raised.

Firespark knows that she have to take down this vampire but deep down inside, something is holding her back from doing the deed. Her sword is drawn out and ready to impale the vampire by her heart. The voice in the back of her head has gotten louder telling to hold back. Seeing the vampire head down and in tears no lease, causing Firespark to question what she is doing.

"Alright, you evil vampire. Your reign of tyranny is over. Do you have any last words or request...?"
Firespark inquires.

She looked up to the hunter, and her eyes were also in tears. Fluttershy didn't even expect it from her. She only guesses that she might have taken down others that are more evil and stronger vampires out there.

After that thought, Fluttershy could only think of one thing at that moment, and it was her old friend, Twilight. Seeing that this hunter might have a connection with the princess and could be the only way to get to her.

"...I know I'm not evil... And I could tell that you can't bring yourself to do this to against me... Even though I did ask you to do this by ending it for me... But what I would like to see before I die and that is... Is that I wish to go, see Twilight one last time before I go... For my final rest... If it's possible..."

Fluttershy dips her head back down and gets ready for what is about to happen next. Feeling the pointed end of the hunter's sword begins moved towards her, and barely break the skin of her chest. Then it stops, and she moved it away, and Fluttershy looks up to Firespark in confusion.

"W-why you stop...?"

"Your right I can't do this to you for some reason. I have way too many questions to ask you."
Firespark puts away her sword as she said this.

"What did happen to you and the princess?"
She asks.

Firespark pulled out a picture of her and her friends. Fluttershy takes the picture and looks at it, and more tears continue to run down her cheeks. She calms down for a bit and replies to the hunter.

"Oh... It's been so long since I've seen this picture of my friends from long ago... It stills break my heart to know that they're all gone..."
She cries.

"It's a long story to go by, and I remember it like it was yesterday..."

...

It was a cold and lonely night, and I was at Twilight's castle and staying there for the night. My ex-lover has been chasing me, and I have no other place to hide. The only place I had left was Twilight's castle.

When I arrived there, I got to meet up with Twilight and Spike. We did our usual meetup like we always did for many years after our friends have passed on. Fate can be cruel in some of the harshest ways. But we have learned to move on. We have still had each other out of our friendship, yet it still hurts to know the others were as lucky as us. We always give our friends a set of flowers to leave on their graves.

The one thing I still recall is that day I go into exile...

It was a dark and stormy night, and I was wondering the many corridors of the castle. I heard a scream down the many halls, and I follow it. Once I got there, I heard another scream behind the door. I open it and found my ex-love holding a fresh kill of a guard. I rushed in, and when I did, I heard the door shut itself behind me. I looked at him and noticed that he is holding some of the blood in his mouth, and he just spits at me and covering me in some of the blood. He just laughed at me and telling now pathetic I was without him. All I could do is try to fight him when I charged at him. He moves out of the way and hit me and sending me over to a wall. I did get to fight him one last time, and it was one of the hardest moments that I go through. Knowing that somepony was once a loved one now turned against you. I used everything to my ability, but he moved out of the way, and he jumps out the window. Saying that I have fallen into a trap, but I didn't know what he means by that.

I head over to the window and look for him, but he is gone. Moving towards to the barely still alive guard but he is trying to say something to me. I move my head closer to him, so I can hear what he is trying to say. What he told me is to let them know that he still loves her. I try to hold him and move him to his bed, but then the door swung open with Twilight and her guards. I think one of them had a camera and took a picture. Twilight just stood there in shock and what she'd said next. Still, hurts me the most and what she says to me. "How could you.... Get her..!" When I heard her say that, it was one of the most painful moments ever in my whole lifetime.

Once the guards start their approach towards me, the only option I had left is to run away and not look back. The guard in question was Twilight's mate. I feel sorry that poor pony to get killed by my ex, but now that I find myself on the run. Going to every place in Equestria and having no place to go. Knowing this only made me depressed, and I wanted to end myself. For some reason, I couldn't do it. Everything I tried only ended in failure, and come out of it like I didn't do anything to myself.

So I decided to go back to my old home, and it was left in ruins by nature. It has enough coverage by the forest, so I could be left alone. I did what I could to keep it the way it looks, so no pony can think of coming over here, and I did what scare off anypony that comes by. Until the day you came, I knew it's only a matter of time that the Brotherhood would come to take me.

...

"Here you are again and this time. You're here to take me in or just kill me. I can only hope if you can take to Twilight so I can talk to her one last time."
As she put her head down with tears coming down.

Firespark was taking back by her being so willing to go in without a fight. She knows having any vampire still being alive is bad enough and still can't be trusted. Finding herself hesitating to take any action at the moment. So the one thing she did think of, is by knocking her out and tie her up.

"I'm sorry, Fluttershy but I'm going to have to do this to you."
She says coldly.

When she did that, it only made her feel guilty by doing this action. She knows that it has to be done. Firespark picked her up and put her on a makeshift sled and set out to the headquarters of her Brotherhood.
