//------------------------------// // Chapter 3 // Story: The Unexpected Star of Los Pegasus // by TheSouthernBrony //------------------------------// Returning back to the apartment, Projector began to mull over what Finalcus had told him and whether or not he should accept the offer. Taking the card out of his pocket, Projector saw what was written on it: a phone number, which was to one of the nearby hotels. Setting the card on his kitchen counter, Projector paced back and forth across the living room. "Well, I dunno, should I take it, should I make that risk again. I mean, I don't want to be mocked again," Projector murmured to himself. At that moment, Projector remembered the old script he had kept in a folder in his room. Walking into his room, which was full of movie posters and other forms of nerdvana, Projector opened his closet and using his hooves and mouth, brought down a yellow folder marked:Celestial Wars. Placing it on his bed, Projector stared at it for a few moments, unsure as to whether or not to open it. It had, after all, been two years since he had even seen the script. Finally mustering up the courage, Projector opened up the folder and inside, was the 200 page script, its pages having slightly yellowed over the years. A wave of nostalgia filled him and memories of how he and Finalcus came up with the story, characters, and included in the back was some concept the art the two came up with. Reading the script again, Projector smiled as he remembered creating a fantastic new world, and how excited he was to present his dream project to the world. "Maybe... I should call Finalcus, see what his offer is all about," Projector thought. Heading to the kitchen, Projector looked at the card to see what the phone number was and made the call. After three rings, a female voice picked up. "Hello, Vanhoover Grand Hotel, how can I help you", the voice asked. "Hello, may I speak to Finalcus Goldfeather please", Projector replied. "Hold just a moment, I'll get him for you", the voice, a receptionist, answered. A couple of minutes later, a new voice picked up. "Hello, this is Finalcus speaking", he said. "Hey, Finalcus, it's me, Projector", Projector replied. Surprised, Finalcus said, "Projector, it's really you! So you changed your mind about whether or not to go to Los Pegasus"? "Maybe, but first, how about you explain your deal", Projector asked. Finalcus paused for a moment before he began. "Well, when I moved to Los Pegasus, I met this guy, Film Reel. See, he's been helping young filmmakers get a hoof-hold in Applewood and many of the ponies he has helped went on to stardom, and when I saw how badly things were for you, I felt it was the right thing to offer you help and I knew Film Reel was the only one who could help", Finalcus explained. After a few moments of silence, Projector asks, " okay, I may not be totally confident, but I am willing to give it another go. When do you go back to Los Pegasus"? Finalcus let out a sigh of relief and replied, " tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning". "Alright, then, 9:30. See you there," Projector replied. "You too, Brother, and remember, film buddies forever", Finalcus said. Laughing, Projector replied, "Film buddies forever".
