//------------------------------// // The Creation // Story: The History of Equestria // by Marshmallow Swirl //------------------------------// Lauren, the creator of Equestria was very bored at the moment. She had already done some of her other shows, but she wanted a new world to exist. Strangely, every time she creates a world, she gains power over that world's power, such as time, etc. She thought, and soon got lost in her thoughts. She finished her thoughts, and then started drawing. Soon, there was land, water, and sky, the three layers of Equestria. She thought about the beings she would create. First, she created the storms, and other things related to weather. Lauren took a coffee break, and began to start working even more. She created landforms and plants. She had the plants adapt to weather, and have them need water to live. Just like the human world , she thought. She let the world, like others, function even when she isn't working, and soon slept. When she woke up, her creation, the world that she could edit, was still in front of her, untouched. She then created the first animal, an alicorn. Alicorn: mix of pegasus magic and wings, unicorn magic and horn, and Earth pony magic + strength. Not too tall, but taller than average pony. Immortal, has bigger wings than a normal pegasus, and a longer horn than most unicorns. These, though most things considered "immortal", usual "immortals" die when stabbed in a spot. Alicorn ponies though, when dying, usually fade away until their physical form regenerates. Sometimes, though, there are spells to delay the regeneration process. There is only one way to completely destroy an alicorn. This is when the jewel on their body is completely destroyed, and the body is completely lifeless, but if the body dies first, an unbreakable magic barrier surrounds the jewel. In history, the death of an alicorn happened once up to modern day Equestria. Normal ponies consider alicorns to be gods. An alicorn always controls one part of Equestria, such as time, nature, etc. There were only six alicorns near the start of Equestria. That alicorn was me, Marshmallow Swirl. When I first awoke into this world, I saw a white, fluffy cloud rapidly approaching. I smacked face first onto it. I, because of the fall, was unconcious. In my dream, I noticed a voice. The voice was of mother, Lauren, explaining about what she wished for me to be, to probably expect 5 siblings, and also, about her giving me her time powers. When I awoke, I still heard the voice. Mother was still explaining, but I didn't know too much what she was speaking of, until I heard my name, Marshmallow Swirl. That was my identity I would live by, Prince Marshmallow, or Prince Chronos, one of the six great rulers of Equestria. I was born young, but young enough to take care of myself, about four years old. Much information and knowledge flowed into my mind of what existed so far. I then, last, heard these words, Now that you have enough knowledge, for now, you may name anything new I create. I then tried to move. My legs were numb, of all things. My hoof legs wobbled, and I tripped. Somehow, mother noticed me falling and caught me. Then I saw grass. I was happy, not only was I saved, but I had food. Later, once my legs stopped feeling wierd, I wandered. I finally saw shelter when climbing a mountain, a cave. This is where I hid for this first day. The next morning, I went down the mountain to eat some of the grass that was growing. I then looked up to try seei Ing mother, but all I saw was the cloud I fell on, blue skies, and the sun. Dissapointed, I climbed back up the mountain, but when I re-entered, I saw something bright red forming on the grass I brought for food. It was fire. That's what I named it. I was going to name it something like red spikes that burn stuff, but I didn't. From the human world, Lauren was smiling. She was waiting. Waiting to create challenges for me. He'll need to prepare first, but I should create some grass, and some flint, so he can create more fire, or have roast grass. From Equestria, as mother told me to call the land, I saw two grey stones appear in front of me. Grass appeared too. Hmm, is this a test? I thought. I tried throwing the rocks everywhere. I tried to start practicing my magic, and levitated these strange rocks into the air. One had writing of some sort, that said flint. It didn't matter. I then whacked them onto the grass. It still didn't have any reaction. I then whacked the two pieces of "flint" together. Nothing happened. I repeatedly whacked them, until a dot appeared. It was red, and had a lot of heat coming from it. It touched the grass, and the grass burst into flames. I sighed. There goes my food for tonight. I called this dot a spark. Spark... that fits that dot. This word, just like that dot sounds like a start of someting. Something like hope. A start of something new.Right after that, I used that thought as an idea. I can stop the fire! I ran towards the burning grass, and rolled all over it. The flame was extinguished. This grass wasn't as green, but it would do. I tried one. This was what something roasted would taste like? Well this tastes great! I thought. Because of the heat of the fire, my back was hurting, but I just realized it. After eating some food, I grabbed some of the grass that didn't burn, and used it as a mattress. The feeling of the grass on my back was relaxing. Soon, I drifted off into a deep sleep. I dreamt of something, it was strange. I was older, and my golden mane and tail would look like that. I had a diamond in my hoof, and in this dream, I once again heard the voice. It explained to me how that was how I would look later. When I awoke, though, I still had the diamond in my hoof. It had a small golden outline, but also, I sensed energy radiating from it. I walked outside, and noticed many changes to the land below the cave. I then heard a very loud roar coming from behind me. The noise coming from inside the cave surprised me, and I lost balance. I fell off the edge of the opening in the cave, and started rolling down the large mountain. After 30 or 40 minutes, I finally stopped rolling at the bottom of the mountain. I was covered in a red liquid. Blood. Ow! This hurts! Ugh, can't I rest? Soon, I felt lightheaded. My vision became blurry, and finally, blood loss caused me to fall asleep. (Real world) I think I should have saved the test of courage for later. If he will be the original element of loyalty, he needs a companion. I think I'll wait for a while though, he needs some rest.
