The sun was shining brightly, birds chirping and singing in the distance. the light beamed through the glass doors  of the balcony and into his eyes, making him groan softly and rolling over away from the sun. He put his arms around a pillow. In the distance, he could hear another sound getting louder and louder, hooves against the glass, crystal floor  and the door opening. The sound got closer and closer, Venrick groaned when the blanket started getting tugged.
"I'm hungover, five more minutes mum."
"Well I'm not your mother so maybe you could get up and tell me why you're in my bed?" 
He opened his eyes and sat up, his vision was blurry and rubbed his eyes, his head was pounding, and a bad taste of alcohol in his mouth. there before him was Twilight giving him a stern look. He stared into her lavender eyes for five seconds and realised where he was. 
"Wha, oh shi-" *thud* 
he jumped in surprise and backed away from her, falling off the bed and landing on his head, feet in the air. Twilight walked around to keep giving him that look. His eyes met hers again.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, sorry. I forgot I was still in this pony world.." 
Venrick rolled onto the floor and stood up, stretching and yawning.
"You didn't give an answer about why you were in my bed. I had to sleep in the guest bedroom." 
"Oh, right. Wait, I thought this was the guest bedroom since you brought me here. Also, why didn't you just wake me up and told me to go there. 
"I was in my study when my friends came into my house with you unconsiouse. Since this bedroom was the closiest we brough you here, and I tried, but all you would do was a grunt at me and rolled away." 
"Oh...uh, sorry." 
"It's alright, just come down for breakfast when you're ready, Spike has made pancakes for us."
"Alright cool, I'll be down." 
Twilight walked out the room and started heading to the dining room. Venrick poked his head out of the room.
"Uh, who's spike?" 
After Venrick put his T-shirt on and he looked at his phone on the night table, he forgot it was turned off. He walked towards it and picked it up, turning it on. As it started up his heart started racing. As the locked screen turned on it showed a picture of a Bear standing on its back legs looking at him and waving. In big numbers was the time, 4:37 PM and the date beneath was  11 of November 2015. He had been gone for three days it seemed.
"guess I won't be able to play fallout 4 then huh. I was really looking forward to that game.." 
Unlocking his phone, he opens photos and see's a picture of him taking a selfie with Alex, both doing duck faces and crossing their eye's, swiping to the next photo, a picture of Ivan, Steven, and Alex playing on laptops and computers when he had a LAN party. His chest clenched hard and felt a knot in his throat as he kept looking through his photos of his friends, random landscapes from when he went on trips, and his parents. He locked the phone, stuffing it in his pocket before sitting down, resting his back against the side of the bed, and started quietly crying to himself. After a minute, he stood up and wipes his tears away and took deep breaths, "need to keep my composure. I can't cry in front of them again, need to be strong," he thought to himself as he calmed down. He walked out of the door and kept wiping his eyes to make sure Twilight can't tell he was crying. 

Venrick entered the dining room and saw Twilight at the table eating her pancakes. The dining room was big with a long table in the middle and ten chairs around it with a table cloth over it and down the middle of the table were candles. There were two plates next to Twilight that had three pancakes stacked up with ice cream and syrup on them. 
"There you are Venrick, I was wondering when you would come down."
"sorry, I was looking at my phone, seeing what the time and date was back home." 
"Whats a phone?"
"I'll, tell you later. Right now, I'm hungry." 
He sits down at the table in front of one of the plates of pancakes, took the fork and took the first bite of the pancake. It was delicious, so fluffy, moist, what a pancake should be. The ice cream and syrup added to the perfect pancakes. He closed his eyes and moaned as he began eating the rest. 
"these pancakes are beautiful. Wheres this Spike so I can thank them for the food?"
He looked around but no one was there besides Twilight. Then, a tug on his shirt followed by. 
"Um, that was my plate, and you are in my spot." 
Venrick looked down to see a small purple dragon with green scales coming out and down his back. The dragon gave him an unimpressed look while Venrick stared at him with a blank expression for five seconds before falling back off the chair.
"AHH, Twilight, there's a dragon in the castle! Run!" He yells as he scurries away from the dragon and hides behind Twilight.
Twilight giggled and rolled her eyes.
"That's Spike, he's my assistant and I'd like to call my brother." 
Spike waved, walked over to the untouched pancakes, take them and place them where he sits, pushing the half eaten pancakes to the side. 
"oh, uhh, sorry, I didn't know."
"It's ok, I usually get that when a new pony comes to town." 
"Ahh, ok." 
"I should be the one flipping out since you are the first human to be seen in like, what, three thousand years?" 
Venrick walks around and sits next to spike, resuming eating his pancakes. "Really? Wow. I must be some deal then huh.." 
"yeah, pretty much."
As they continue to eat their breakfast, Spikes belly began to rumble and he gave a loud burp, followed by green flames and a letter falling next to his pancakes. He clutches his gut and groans.
"Wow, ok, a letter came out of him. Is that normal Twilight? "
"I really hate it when Celestia sends a letter while I'm eating."
Twilight nodded and with her magic, she lifted it up and moved it closer to her. She opened it and began to read it out loud. 
To my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
When you sent me the letter yesterday about a human appearing in the middle of the town hall in Ponyville, I was quite shocked. With the description you gave me I am quite certain that he is indeed, a human. Luna and myself will be visiting Ponyville to meet this human, we shall arrive at noon  in front of the town hall.

P.S No need to make Ponyville cleaned up for our arrival, we are only coming to see this human.  
P.P.S I hope he has not harmed you or any other pony because if the old stories are true, the human eats meat.
Twilight's eyes widen, her pupils small as pinpricks as she looks at Venrick with an uneasy look.
"oh fuck.." Was all that Venrick muttered as Spike and Twilight slowly backed away from Venrick. 
"H-hey, It's ok I'm not going to eat any of you. I promise. Hell, in my world I have never eaten horse or pony. I only chicken, beef, and fish. Plus, you took me into your castle while I was passed out. To be honest, I feel like I should do something for you since you and your friends have helped me. Plus I'm not going to eat spike since he has made these amazing pancakes."
Twilight and spike looked at each other and back at Venrick.
"Ok...well, since you put it like that we should not be scared that you're going to eat us.." Twilight said as she rubbed her chin, thinking about what he said. 
Spike thought for a second and relaxed. "So, should we think of him like a griffin? because they eat meat but they don't eat ponies?" 
"I guess you're right Spike," Twilight replied.
"wait..There's griffins in this world?" Venrick asked, giving a confused look.
"Why yes, there are Dragons, Griffins, minotaurs, Hydras, and a lot more creatures that inhabit this world." 
"well then, I'm basically in a greek mythology world ruled by talking ponies...This is really going to take a while to get adjusted to." Venrick looked at the empty plate, thinking.  
"Well, enough about my world." Twilight teleport on the chair next to Venrick, pulling out a scroll and quill. 
"Tell me about your world, how it's different to ours." 
"Alright..where to start.."
Venrick began to talk about how there is no magic in his world and they use their ingenuity and intelligence to make machines and gadgets to make their lives easier like cars, airplanes, bikes, motorized boats and so forth. He also told how most of their worlds politics work with the prime ministers, presidents, and told how the world is in constant war with no country seeing eye to eye with anything.
"Well, that all I really know about my world. sorry that I don't know much, I didn't watch a lot of Tvs because it was usually nothing but war or some celebrity." 
"I see, your world seems so violent and different. We have never had that many wars while under Celesta's and Luna's ruling, speaking of which, we've been here for three hours and it's nearly noon, shall we go?"
Venrick nods. "Lead the way Twilight."  

They made their way to the middle of the town while Venrick being greeted with smiles and waves from ponies he encountered last night. He waved back with a small smile, still not comfortable with seeing multi-colored Ponies, let alone dragons as he notices Spike is riding on Twilights back. By the time they made their way to the town hall, Venrick could make out two carriages being pulled by pegasus and what seems to be pegasus with bat wings. 
"well, this is a surprise." 
Venrick heard a voice, he looked behind him and saw a pony that seemed to be in her middle ages with a brown coat, grey hair, and wore glasses. 
"Hello Mayor Mare, the Princesses wanted to meet him so they have come to Ponyville to greet him." 
"Yes, yes, she sent me a message earlier today about it. Are you excited Mr. Venrick?" 
"I guess so, we don't really have royalty that actually rule lands that I know of back in my world." 
As he said those words the carriages landed next to the city hall, Venricks heart skips a beat and it lands next to him and gets a good look at the princesses. The one carried by the golden carriage had a white coat with different color main, tail. She wore a golden crown, what he assumed shoes and a golden chest piece. While the one that came in a black and dark blue carriage was blue with what seemed to be...stars... It hit Venrick, That blue Pony was the same one from his dreams. His heart began to beat fast as they left the carriages, Ponies all over town started crowding around the main hall to see them. As they looked over the town smiling, every Pony including Spike knelt down. Venrick being too stunned from the sight stood there, hands, knees shaking, as he stared at the dark one. The white one looked at him and gave him a warm smile. 
"So you are the one that Twilight wrote about. It is nice to meet you. My name is Celestia. What is yours?" 
"V-Venrick, ma'am." 
"It's wonderful to meet you, and I am sure you have met my sister Luna. She did say she was called to by a human a day ago."
Luna smiled at the human.
"Ti's nice to see you again Human. Are, thou feeling better?" 
"I knew it!"
Venrick pointed at Luna. Lunas wings extended a bit in surprise, as well as celestial
"You were in my dream before I woke up in this world! Told me about a place being Ausneighlia! And, Showed the friends I would never see again!" 
Twilight, Spike, and possible everypony gasped at his claim and being impolite to Luna. Twilight nudge Venrick with her muzzle.
"Venrick! you can't speak to her like that! She's the Princess that rules with Celestia." 
Venrick waved a finger in front of her, not leaving eye contact with Luna.
"na, na, na, na, I don't care if she's a Princess, I want some answers now."
Luna sighed softly.
"I can see in your eyes that, thou are confused, and scared just like that night ago. Thou shall provide the answers that one seeks. Yes, thou had come into one's dream. Thou heard a calling for help and guidance and when thou came to help, thou found you. Yes, thou spoke of Ausneighlia for that country was colonised long ago by Neighland. But, thou never made ones friends to torment thou. Thou saw thy weeping and wanted to see why."
Venrick never took eyes off hers and clenched his fists, trying to calm himself down as his hands began shaking. He fell to his knees, looking down to the ground, then taking a long sigh.
"Damn it all.."
"thou apologies human."
Celestia walked up to the human. 
"We are sorry for the events that have happened Venrick, It must feel terrible being the only human. In Equus, we thought all humans went extinct, tell me. How are you the only one left?"
Venrick looked up at Celestia, tears welling up in his eyes.
"I..Well, I am not from this world. I was with my friend Steven and we were loading our camping gear into the back of my car and I heard thunder overhead. As I looked up I saw this pink beam coming towards my mate Steven. In an instant..I ran over to me friend and pushed him outta the way and as I was about to hit the ground.. Boom!, I woke up over the hills that way."
He pointed over near the apple farm that could be seen on the horizon.  
Luna and Celestia looked over to were Venrick pointed.
"I-I'm so sorry to hear... So, you are not from this world?" 
Celestia asked as she looked back down at Venrick who was  now holding his face in his hands. All he could respond with was a weak nod.  Celestia and Luna looked at each other with saddening looks. All the ponies who were watching this event unfold felt sorry for the human.  Celestia put a hoof on Venricks shoulder
"If there is anything we could do to help, let us know. We would be glad to help you get back home."
"that's the thing...I-I don't know hot to get back home! I have no idea what that pink beam was, nor why it brang me here!" 
Celestia pulled her hoof of Venrick and put it to her mouth gently, seeing him spiral into sadness. Twilight, seeing this, tries to help. she trots up behind him. 
"well, I can help, It sounds like what happen was a transporting beam, but no pony ever had done it successfully, if we can find any powerful magic wielders we could possibly find who did it." 
Venrick moves his face to the side to look behind him.
"you..can?" 
"I believe so." 
Twilight gives him a big smile. Before she could react, he turn around and throws his arms around her, holding her close and rests his face against her neck, she could feel her coat getting a little wet as tears began to form in his eyes. 
"Thank you Twilight...thank you so much.." 
Celestia, Luna, Twilight, and every pony else was smiling at the human. 
The human let go and stood up. red in the face from embarrassment he looked over to the two princesses. 
"gee, I feel a bit embarrassed for causing a scene like that, I'm sorry..It's just this has been so overwhelming to me."
"It's quite alright Venrick. we understand." 
Celestia nodded to him.
"so, you two are princesses of this land huh? what do you two do besides running the land?"
"well, I raise the sun every morning. While Luna..well, raises the moon."
"Really? that sounds scientifically impossible. If memory serves me right the planets in the solar system gravitate to the sun making them orbit the sun." 
"is that how your world works? well here, we do raise them." 
Venrick gives Celestia smirk and folds his arms.
"prove it." 
Celestia returns the smirk. Her horn glows and she closes her eyes. The sun begins to move a little bit and moves a good couple of inches to Venricks perspective. Venricks jaw drops and looks completely dumbfounded.
"well, human? has thou sister proven herself?"
Venrick gets on one knee and bows before the two alicorns.
"Oh great Celestia, forgive me for doubting you, please have mercy on this poor, mortal soul." 
Celestia and Luna giggled at the human. 
"we forgive you." 
Venrick stands back up giving the two a smile. 
"this has been fun Venrick, but we must get back to our royal duties. If it's alright with you, we shall be informing Equestria that a human is living among ponies. Is that alright with you?"
Venrick thought about it for a second and then shrugged. "hey, your kingdom, your call, right? Besides, I think it would get some ponies excited right?" 
Celestia smiled and giggled softly at his remark. "I guess so. anyways, farewell Venrick. and If you find yourself in Canterlot, come to the castle and stop by. Luna and I will like to see you again."
She nuzzles Venrick's head, followed by Luna. Venrick felt a little uncomfortable they did that as he backed up a bit. Luna looked into his eyes and smiles.
"farewell human, thou shall possibly see you in thy dreams." 
"y-yeah.." 
Going a little red from them getting a bit close to his face.
The two princesses got into their carriages being pulled by guard stallions, they flew off towards the castle far in the distance, Venrick could only assume that is were Canterlot is. He looked behind him where Twilight was looking up at him with a small smile and Spike next to her. 
"So, I guess this means I'll be staying with you for a bit longer, Twilight?" 
"of course, it would be no trouble at all."
Venrick looks out towards the ponies that were looking back right at him. He put his hand behind his head and scratched it as he gave a smile back to them all.
"I guess I'm going to have to get use to living in this town for a bit, eh?" 
Most of the ponies cheered while the rest smiled at his statement while Lyra sighed softly.
"Aww, I wish he could be staying at my place.."  
"You mean our place.."
Bon-Bon responded.
"And where would he be sleeping? not to mention why would you want him in our house?"
"Uh..well, I guess my bed..and..well, because I want to study him up close and see all the differences that he has with us ponies!" 
Bon-Bon just gave her a deadpan look and walked away.
"that sounds gross.."
Lyra went red when she realised what she said.
"I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAAAT!" 

The sun was starting to set, over Ponyville and Venrick was staring at the setting sun out of the window in the guest bedroom. 
"I am never going to get use to that.." 
He thought to himself as he remembers Celestia telling him how she moves the sun.  He sat back into his chair and sighed softly, taking in the view. The more he looked, the more he realised what was over yonder. He could see that the hills and mountains were a bit taller, Canterlot was built on the side of one of the mountains, and a faint waterfall was coming out of the base of the city.  As the sun fully sets, the night sky begins to show and the stars begin to shine. They shine as bright as he has ever seen them. Venrick smiles softly at the sight and studies all the individual stars. The smile fades and he sighs softly.
"how long will it be until I can go home..I hope Steven doesn't feel like it was his fault. He started to remember his friends. Ivan, Alex, Steven..."
He started to remember his other friends from high school like Eamon, who was in his English class and talked about video games. Gabe, his friend in music that jammed with him when they had spare time. and...Leona, girl who was in his art class, and went to Larp with. She would talk to him occasionally and hang out with his friends...Not to mention he had a major crush on her..Then it hit him. Since he is the only human. There are no human girls...so..If he can't  get home, does that mean... he would have to get with a... Venrick got out of his chair and walked in circles holding his head and shaking it.
"ew, ew, ew, ew, EW, EW, EEEEEWWW!! BAD VENRICK, THAT'S GROSS!!"
Twilight knocked on his door and poked her head in.
"is, everything alr-" 
"NO, I MEAN YES, I MEAN...GAAAAH!"
Venrick flops onto his bed face first.
" I just hope I can get home.." 
Twilight looked confused at what Venrick did.  
"By the way..dinner is ready." 
Twilight closed the door gently and her hoof steps faded into the distance.  Venrick walked into the dining room and he sat down. He looked down at his plate and saw nothing but salad. Twilight was enjoying hers while Spike was picking out rubies he put in it and eating those while Venrick kept staring at his plate.
"Is, everything alright?"
Twilight asked.
"Y-Yes, everything is alright, just been a weird day."
Everything was not ok. You see, Venrick dosesn't like his salads. More of a steak person but the next best thing is vegetables like broccoli.
"Alright Venrick, Man up." 
He thought to himself. He took a deep breath and began to eat the salad, and when I mean by eating it, I mean he shoveled it into his mouth and tried to clean his plate off in point three seconds. He did it...but in five seconds. he sat back and smiled, feeling accomplished that he did it. Twilight, on the other hand, was dumbfounded on how fast he ate his salad, so was Spike. Venrick looked at them both.
"uh..sorry, just..um.. hungry." 
Venrick coughs and rubbed the back of his head.
"So... What is the first step of knowing how to get back home?"
"Well, this afternoon I've been trying to find books about teleportation spells and it was a bit difficult. I found a bit that mentioned teleporting a reasonably big object over long distances has traces of the users magic on that object... but that's a theory, and right now that's the best we could go on. Not to mention the Canterlot Library is much bigger than what we have in this castle. Come to think of it, Celestia is supposed to be sending me books soon, so after our visit, we can ask Celestia if we could borrow some of the books that might be useful to us." 
"well, going off a theory is not always the best idea in my opinion.. But we really don't have many options. So I guess we head out to Canterlot tomorrow."
"Great!, I'll wake you up at Seven in the morning so we can head out as early as we can." 
Venrick slumped into his chair 
"Seven... that's  really early, how long does it take to get there?"
Twilight got out of her seat and levitate the dishes into the sink.
"well, by train it takes two hours, so not long." 
Venrick stood up and stretched, sighing as he relaxed.
"alright, cool. I guess we should head to bed early then, good night." 
Venrick waved at Twilight and Spike and headed off to bed. As he got ready for bed and slipped into it, he looked back out the window. Canterlot was light up like a Christmas tree in some parts of the are. It reminded of his home that had a view of Brisbane city.Rolling on his side towards the window he kept staring and remembering all the times he had in Brisbane with friends and by himself, he never thought he would miss that place as much as he did right now. With a small sigh, he closed his eyes.
"I really hope the theory is true.."
