Chapter 8: Danger Ride

It was a splendid day in class and the teacher was giving a lesson about the history of Canterlot. I was in the front row paying attention and Twilight next to me was reading her book on mystical legends. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were behind me. It was nice and calm and for a reason I felt that every girl was looking at me.
As the teacher finishes his lesson, he now explains that we need to do an oral report of someone in ancient history.
“Now class, I want each one of you to pick someone historical,” the teacher said.
Twilight raised her hand. The teacher pointed at her and listened to whom she was going to pick. “I’m going pick George Washington,” she said.
“I’m impressed, Twilight,” the teacher said. But right before he was going to pick someone else, I heard a groan behind me. I turn around to who made the sound, and its none other than Rainbow Dash getting bored of course.
“Now Bolt whom are you going to pick?” the teacher asks me, getting my attention while I turned back to look at him, asking me whom I was going to be working on. I thought for a moment and thought of a great man who impresses me when I was a child. I gave him a smile and said, “Leonardo da Vinci.”
I turned around to her, since she wants me to pick another historical figure for some reason. “But Rainbow, he’s interesting. He was the one who painted the Mona Lisa many years ago” I saw her gave a stern look like she wasn't impressed. I sigh and told her “Ok Rainbow, who do you pick?”
“Of course. Someone awesome, adventurous, interesting, and awesome. Did I say awesome already? Her name’s Daring Doo!” she said with pride while hitting her chest.
The teacher came in front of her and smiles, saying. “Look Rainbow, Daring Doo is not real. She’s a fictional character from a novel,” the teacher said.
I saw Rainbow’s face change immediately. Seems she didn’t like her teacher calling her so called idol that she's not real. “She is real! Well to me anyways.” The teacher sighs and places his hand on her shoulder, then comes in front of my desk.
“You know, Bolt is right. You need to pick someone who is fun, who we will remember for all time. It doesn’t have to be anyone famous. Anybody you like Rainbow,” the teacher said.
“Wait you said anybody?” Rainbow’s face changed when she heard that she could pick anybody. “So I can pick anyone. Anybody at all?” Wait, why do I feel something is coming.
“Of course Rainbow. Anybody at all,” the teacher said.
“Anybody at all and it doesn’t matter?” she asks one more time.
“YES Miss Dash. Anybody at all,” the teacher answered Rainbow one last time.
“I PICK PINKIE!”
“I PICK RAINBOW!”
I knew this was about to happen knowing those two. I looked at the teacher, who face palms and crouches down to my seat, looking at me. I just smile at him and said, “You walked into that one.”
“I did, didn’t I?” the teacher said.
With that, the class ended and everyone departed out of the classroom. I was going to my locker until I heard a slam in the principle office and saw Vice Principle Luna walking away angry. I went to the principle office, knocked on the door, and saw Celestia sitting at her desk. She notices me entering her office and gave me a smile.
“I hope I’m not interrupting anything, ma'am,” I said.
“No, of course not Bolt. I hope you didn’t see anything,” Celestia said.
“Well, it's hard to ignore that you sister walked out angry. I know it's not none of my business, but is everything ok?” I asked if she wanted to tell me.
“Well, my dear little sister wanted the school to have a gaming area, and I disagreed on that topic cause the school is meant for learning, not for playing around,” she said.
“Well, ma’am. I know it’s for learning, but sometimes the students of this school like to relax. And some of those students look up to you and your sister. I even know one girl who looks at you more than the other students.” With that Celestia smiled and was about to say something until I heard someone argue in the hall.
I open the door and saw Rainbow argue with Scootaloo. I didn’t even know they knew each other. I apologize to Celestia and went towards to Rainbow and Scootaloo. It seems they didn’t notice me coming towards them.
“Come on Rainbow. I want to be brave and adventurous like you. It’s not going to be dangerous,” Scootaloo said.
“I'm sorry squirt, but no is no. It’s way to dangerous. You're to young. Maybe when you’re older.” Rainbow said and patted her on the head. She swats her hand and marches down to the exits of the school.
Rainbow notice me from behind and gave a smirk. “Is everything okay Rainbow?” I said. She just nod that everything was okay.
“Yeah, everything’s fine. It’s just that Scootaloo wants to ride this new roller coaster in the Downtown of Canterlot.” She pointed outside and I notice a huge roller coaster behind the town.
“How didn’t I notice that?” I asked, wondering how I didn’t notice that huge ride when I came to school.
“Well, I said no to her and it seems that she’s mad at me,” Rainbow said and notice a note in my pocket. “Hey dude what's that in your pocket?” she asks. I forgot about the love letter I got yesterday before Twilight left.
“Oh, it’s a love letter.” Rainbow gave me a shocked face and had a hint of jealousy.
“Oh, um who’s it from and did you give her an answer? She must like you,” Rainbow said while hiding her blush.
“No, I didn’t give her an answer. I just don’t know. I’m not interested in love right now and also don’t even know the girl. I want to let her down easy if I get the chance, whoever this girl is,” I said to Rainbow. It seems Rainbow’s face turn to a sign of relief. I was kind of confused about why she’s asking me though. I asked her why did she ask me a lot of questions about the letter.
“Oh um…no reason…um, look its Principle Celestia.” She points at our principle looking worried for some reason. Rainbow and I walked towards her and ask if everything is ok, but by the looks of it, it wasn’t.
“Yes I am worried. My sister’s not in the school building and I’m looking everywhere for her. Have you seen her,” Celestia said.
“I know where she is!” I turn around before I could answer and saw Pinkie Pie behind us. I sometimes wonder how she does that.
“Good, where is she?” Celestia asked.
“She’s with Scootaloo at the new roller coaster in the amusement park.” This answer gave Rainbow and Celestia shocked faces. I was confused, but then Rainbow pulled my arm. Me, Rainbow and Celestia were running to the so-called roller coaster. I was wondering why I was coming with them again.
“Scootaloo, as your big sister I am ordering you not to get on this ride. And Vice Principal Luna…have fun up there,” Rainbow said. Luna gave her a thumbs up.
“No, I want to be adventurous and brave like you Dash!” Scootaloo said.
“Scoots this not the way. Now please get off of the ride,” Rainbow said.
“Lulu, what are you doing? You know how you are in roller coasters,” Celestia asks her sister.
“I needed to let off some steam out my head, since you didn’t want our students to have a game room in our school,” Luna said, giving
Rainbow a huge smile as she turns her head away from Scootaloo towards Celestia.
“WE’RE GETTING” I cut her off and smack her in the head and told her to focus.
“Please Lulu, get off. I don’t want you to get hurt.” Celestia said.
“Fine, if I won't ride it, I want Bolt to be my replacement.” I got shocked of Vice Principal Luna’s answer. I inspected the huge ride. It was huge and scary and I said one simple word to her.
“Heck no!” I said to Luna and it was true. I am afraid of heights and roller coasters.
“Then let’s turn this puppy up!” With that, the ride started and we saw them take off.
Few minutes have past and we witness the horrifying things of the ride. A few seconds later I saw Luna and Scootaloo coming back. But the weird part was Luna was behind of Scootaloo. Rainbow hurried her way to Scootaloo and Celestia did the same.
Scootaloo started screaming and Rainbow was telling her it was over.
“Piece of cake…” Scootaloo whispers, making Rainbow hard to hear her and went closer to see if she can repeat what she said. “I threw up a piece of cake.”
After awhile I saw the two loyal big sisters telling them they were sorry to each other. I was glad I could go home soon.
“Hey Rainbow, can you help me? I think I lost my shoe in there,” Scoots said, making Rainbow get in the ride and looking for her shoe.
“Don’t just stand there Tia, help her,” Luna said to her big sister.
I saw them looking in the coaster and for a moment. I witness an evil grin in the both little sisters’ faces as they were pushing Celestia and Rainbow into the ride and Luna giving the signal to go. I heard their screams before they disappear from my sights. I thought for moment, what to do until they come back.

“I’m going to get popcorn.” With that I left the area and went to the nearby food store. To tell you the truth, today was a very interesting and weird day.”
