Scootaloo & Apple Bloom, Summer belongs to you

Everypony got out of whats left of the Sunbeater 3000 on a remote island. The island was practically a small patch of sand with two palm trees. Scootaloo and Apple Bloom were both contemplating on what to do next.

"Well, Apple Bloom, that was our worst landing yet. I'm beginning to detect a pattern here." said Scootaloo. Behind them, Rarity was freaking out.

"Scootaloo! This isn't Ponyville; it's a deserted island! The only things on this island are us, a couple of trees and a big fat ox!" The ox glared at her.

"Hey!" he shouted but she ignored him

"When Mother and Father left me in charge, I never took into account that we might not make it back at all! Now we're stranded, and now I'll never get my kiss from Spike!" She starts crying and falls to her knees. "It's the end of romance! Aaagh!" She curls into a ball on the ground, still crying. Babs couldn't help but laugh however.

"You're gonna lose!" she said smugly. Scootaloo raised an eyebrow.

"You do realize that you're stranded on this island too, right?" Babs shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't care, I'm winning!" she laughed some more before sighing. "I'm done." Twist groaned and looked at the pegasus pleadingly.

"Scootaloo, how are we going to get off this island?" she asked. Scootaloo smiled.

"Well, we'll just have to fix the boat!" Rarity rolled her eyes.

"With what?" Scootaloo looked around.

"There's plenty here. All we need is our imagination! For instance, we could tie those two palm trees into a raft and add a super sonic outboard motor." she paused "Oh, wait...we don't have anything to cut the trees with and...we don't have an outboard motor." She looks at the ox. "Aaah, I know, we could soup up this ox so he could run on a conveyor belt that would charge the..." she paused again. "Ohh, we don't have a conveyor belt and we don't have any soup." Babs scoffed.

"Not to mention... You're never gonna make it!" Scootaloo glared at her.

"We'll make it! After all, we've got... Uhh... " she looked around. "We've got the seats! We've still got one rubber band! And we've got..." She looks at the ground after seeing nothing else before she picks up hooffuls of sand. "We've got sand!" Babs chuckled.

"Hey, maybe you could make an hourglass and watch the time slip away." she said before laughing again.

Back at Maris, the hovercraft landed in the streets, everyone hopping out.

"Well, thanks for the lift." Discord said, starting to walk away with Twilight, before being stopped by Major Celestia.

"Before you leave, we have one more thing for you." she said. Discord turned around, surprised.

"Really? What is it?" There was a click below. He looked down and saw Gummy handcuffing him.

"Those are handcuffs." she said, seeing Discords incredulous look. He glared at her.

"I know what handcuffs are. I'm not an idiot!" he looks down at Gummy, "And not one word outta you." Major Celestia shrugged.

"Well, there's a list of outstanding violations as long as your arm." she said. Discord looked at his arms.

"Ohh, well, I do have unusually long arms." he muttered, mostly to himself. twilight looked pleadingly at Major Celestia.

"But we're on vacation!" she said. Major Celestia shook her head.

"Oh, don't worry young lady. You'll be able to continue your vacation in 10–20 years." she started to pull Discord away to the hovercraft, him still muttering to himself.

"I'm gonna beat the rap, though. I've been working on a rap-beat-inator. I just don't know if it works in France. I mean, if you see the electrical outlets here, I wouldn't even know where to start."

"Hold it right there!" Everyone looked at Twilight in shock to see her holding up what looks like a ray of some sort. "Step away from the evil scientist!" she said, making Gummy and Major Celestia let go of Discord. He the whole time was beaming with pride.

"Twilight! I'm so proud of you! You are evil!" Twilight rolled her eyes as they both walked quickly to the hovercraft, still pointing the 'ray' at them.

"I'm not evil. Just get in the car before they find out this is only a hair dryer." she said before they both jump in and fly off. Twilight zapped Discords handcuffs while flying, breaking them, and throwing the hair dryer in the back seat.

"This is a hair dryer?" he said pointing at it. Twilight nodded

"Yeah. I got it in Tokyo." Discord squealed happily.

"Cool! But they didn't know it was a hair dryer when you pointed it at them, so...that means you're little evil!" he said to her. Twilight rolled her eyes again, smirking this time.

"Okay, Dad. Maybe I'm a little evil."

"I knew it!" he exclaimed, crying tears of joy. "That's okay... I'm not gonna cry..." he said, trying to wipe them off. Twilight chuckled, nuzzling him slightly while still driving.

"Dad." she muttered as they drove off, leaving the two agents below.Major looked down and the gator.

"Well, guess we could kiss that pair of handcuffs good bye. I don't about you, but I'm gonna go take in a review. See you back in the States." she said before flying off, leaving Gummy alone in the streets off Maris.

Back on the island, Scootaloo is seen in a giant hole digging with her hooves, trying desperately to find something... anything.

"There, There's got to be some minerals or something down here that we can use! I mean, we can't...we can't just be stuck here!" she exclaimed, still digging deeper and deeper into the whole. Sweetie Belle was sitting at the end of the beach, sniffling quietly to herself. She felt a tab on her shoulder, she turned around and saw Apple Bloom giving her a small handkerchief and a smile. Sweetie smiled back, accepting the tissue.

"Thanks, Apple Bloom. I just don't know what to do, I mean...we were in Maris! The most romantic city in the world, and..." she hiccuped slightly, "she didn't even notice me!" She blows in the handkerchief. "I just feel like giving up, and look at her!" They both look at the whole to see Scootaloos' head appears out of the hole she'd been digging, holding up a yellow sponge and a pink starfish.

"Look! A sponge and a starfish! There's gotta be something we can make out of this!" she shook her head, throwing the objects behind her. "Ah! Oh no, that's ridiculous!" Sweetie looked away, back to the sunset.

"It's as if I don't exist! I would give anything if she would just sit down with me and enjoy this beautiful sunset." Apple Bloom patted her on the back. She looked back at the whole to see Scootaloo walking at the, looking very desperate. She left, giving them both some time alone.

"We, we, we could—We, we we could dig a tunnel under the ocean and then we could, uh, we could...we can, we can...we...we can't. I can't...I can't believe there's nothing we can do to get off of this..." Scootaloo sighed, sitting next to Sweetie looking sadly at the view. "I guess at least we can sit and watch this beautiful sunset." Sweetie stared at the pegasus. This was the moment. She could sit here, with Scootaloo, together, alone... Then why didn't it feel right? Scootaloo was there... but sad. She gets her wish, the only huge thing she wished for today was right there in front of her hooves, but she looked so disappointed. Was her happiness worth hers?

"No." Scootaloo's head shot up, turned at her friend who was glaring at him with determination.

"What?" she asked in disbelief. Sweetie stood up.

"No, you are not going to enjoy this beautiful sunset!" Scootaloo raised an eyebrow, confused.

"I'm not?" Sweetie shook her head.

"You built a rollercoaster through downtown! You made giant tree-house robots! You traveled through time for crying out loud! Twice!" Scootaloo shook her head.

"But, Sweetie Belle, there's nothing here for me to work with." Sweetie rolled her eyes.

"Well, that's not the Scootaloo that I fell in..." She pauses, and quickly rephrases what she was going to say. "to...this...situation with. You showed us all in Apple Bloom's map how this is possible and I'm not gonna let you sit there and --" Scootaloo shot up like a bullet, getting an idea.

"Apple Bloom's map! That's it! Sweetie, you're the best!" Scootaloo hugs her before turning to Apple Bloom, unknowingly leaving Sweetie in a love smitten trance. Scootaloo ran to the earth pony. "Hey Apple Bloom. Let's see that map again." The bowed filly raised an eyebrow before reaching in her saddle bag, taking out the map and unfolding it. The map itself covered the whole island. Scootaloo ran to the map, a plan forming in her head.

"Okay. We're here, and we need to go there. And we've got about..." she looked up at the sun. "I'd say eleven minutes. Sweetie Belle, grab Madagascar and bring it over here to Ohio." the white filly ran to a corner of the map and folded in the direction told. Scootaloo nodded approvingly. "Now Rarity, you grab the Andes and fold it over the Main Greenland." Rarity hesitated.

"You know, folding the map doesn't actually make these places closer together." she said, Scootaloo rolled her eyes.

"I know, I know! Crease it here. Babs, Australia over to Africa. Twist, Hawaii to Japan." Twist pulled the map, causing alarm to the pegasus. "No, no, East, East! Don't go West, you'll rip it! All right...now fold it here. Babs, one more crease down this line." They nodded backing away. Rarity groaned.

"Scootaloo... I don't see how an origami unicorn is getting us off this island!" she shouted. Scootaloo waved her off.

"It's not done yet, it needs one more fold." She makes the last fold. "There you go! Now wait..."

The unicorn folded into many shapes, different sizes until finally a paper airplane. Rarity shook her head in a panic.

"Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no! There's no way I'm getting on that plane!" Scootaloo ran to get the rubber band.

"Wait, wait. It's gonna work, you'll see!" she said excitedly.

"I think it's beautiful." Sweetie said. Rarity glared at her.

"Don't encourage her." She looked back at Scootaloo. "Scootaloo, this is crazy!" The pegasus grabs the rubber band and puts it around the two trees. "Car-salesman crazy or mattress-salesman crazy?" she asked. Rarity blinked at the question.

"I don't know... Neither!" she shouted. Scootaloo chuckled.

"That's a relief. Sweetie, Twist, get the seats!"

"You got it!" Sweetie said before she and Twist went to get the seats. Scootaloo looked at Babs.

"Babs, grab the ox!" She went under it and lifted it with her earth pony strength. Both Rarity and Scootaloo gave her a weird look. She shrugged.

"This is the only way he'll actually let me hold him." Rarity gave her a odd look before turning back to Scootaloo.

"Scootaloo, it's made of paper!" Scootaloo shrugged.

"So was the Declaration of Independence!" Rarity scoffed.

"Yeah, but it wouldn't fly over 2,000 miles of water!" she looked at Babs who was still carrying the ox. "Babs, why are you helping?" she shrugged once again.

"How often do you get to lift an ox?" the ox shrugged as well. Rarity groaned, stomping her front hooves angerly.

"Have I taken crazy pills?! There's no engine!" she exclaimed. Scootaloo chuckled

"True, but we do have this rubber band made of super special den-si-ty!" Sweetie smiled enthusiastically.

"Just believe we can, Rarity!" Twist nodded.

"Yes. Trixie Lulamoon and Countess Coloratura cannot both be wrong." Rarity groaned again.

"Look, apparently I missed some big musical number with Trixie Lulamoon and Countess Coloratura, okay? So can we please stop using that as a reference?!" Twist shrugged.

"Well, it was just very inspirational." Rarity shook her head.

"I'm not getting on that plane!" Scootaloo smirked.

"Rarity, you won't see Spike again 'till we get off the island." Rarity paused.

"I get a window seat!" The group cheered as they got to work. The ox pulls the plane backward, stretching the rubber band. Babs was riding on top of the ox.

"You know, my horoscope said I would be riding an ox today. But I thought that was a figure of speech!" Scootaloo rolled her eyes as they backed up.

"A little bit further... A little bit further... Okay, that'll have to do. We're almost out of time; everypony on the plane!" Everypony got in the plane, Scootaloo was in the front. She turned around to the gang.

"Everypony ready? It's now or never!" However, Rarity was getting second thoughts.

"Actually Scootaloo, I-I changed my mind. I wanna stay here." Scootaloo scoffed, waving her hoof airily.

"Oh, that's just the mortal terror talking." she said. Rarity raised an eyebrow.

"Well, yeah...that's what I was..."

"Babs, pull the release!" Scootaloo shouted, before Rarity can change her mind. Babs shrugged.

"Whatever, dude. It's not gonna --"

Babs pulls the string, causing the paper plane zooms off towards America's east coast, everypony screams.

"It's working! Look!" Scootaloo pointed at the sun, seeing it get bigger and bigger instead of smaller in the distance.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Babs cheered. Twist raised an eyebrow.

"What are you so happy about?" she asked. Babs smiled smugly.

"I finally ate a bug!" she said, causing Twist to gag. Scootaloo pointed forward.

"It looks like we're gonna make it! There's Ponyville!" she shouted as they got closer and closer.

"Hang on, everypony! We're coming in!" she shouted before the plane crashed, actually gracefully.

"Actually, that's probably our best landing of the day. Great, the sun's still up and we're only five blocks away. Come on!" Everypony got up and ran, before they stopped. The road construction. Sweetie Belle gasped.

"Oh no! Road construction!" Scootaloo groaned.

"It took mom an hour get around that ditch!" Sweetie looked up at the city's clock.

"There's only 58 seconds 'til sundown!" she exclaimed. What surprised everypony though is that Babs looked really upset.

"No, no, no!" she exclaimed. "Ohh, I actually thought we're gonna make it! I thought we were gonna do the impossible. For one shining moment...summer was whatever I wanted to make of it!" then she noticed what house they were in front of. "Wait...this is my house! Hold on one second! I'm givin' everypony back their bikes!!" she shouted before she ran up the drive way and opened the garage. Inside were dozens of bikes and scooters. Scootaloo's eyes shone in excitement when she saw her scooter, but paused, confused.

"But Babs, we didn't make it back to our yard." But stopped when she looked back at the construction, seeing a ramp in the construction. She gasped. "I get it! Everybody, get your bikes!" Everypony ran in the garage as Babs distributed the bikes/scooters.

"Here's Apple Bloom's, here's Scootaloo's, here's Sweetie Belle's... And here's, uh... A recumbent?" she turned to Twist with a raised eyebrow. "Really?" Twist shrugged nervously.

"Studies say it is better for your back." Babs glared at her.

"How come I don't have to stand in line to bully you?" Rarity rolled her eyes and looked at Scootaloo, who was currently caressing her scooter.

"Wait, Babs never took my bike." Babs noted, making a mental check.

"Noted." Scootaloo looked around before spotting a small tricycle. She pointed at it.

"There's one right there!" Rarity shook her head.

"Scootaloo, I'm not gonna get on a silly little tricycle." Scootaloo groaned, getting stressed.

"Rarity, we're in a hurry. Just get on the trike, and we'll..." Rarity shook her head again.

"There's no way I'm gonna--"

"GET ON THE TRIKE!!!" Scootaloo shouted. Rarity quickly ran to it, snapping on her helmet. Everypony started pedaling, except Scootaloo who buzzed down the streets, getting close to the ramp.

"Scootaloo, there's no way we're gonna clear that!" Rarity said, as she pedaled awkwardly on the trike.

"Just believe we can, Rarity!" Scootaloo called back. Rarity glared at the speeding pegasus.

"Is that another Countess Coloratura reference? Because I thought I was clear..." Scootaloo rolled her eyes chuckling.

"You don't have to hear the song, Rarity, you just have to believe!"

"I believe!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.

"I believe!" Twist exclaimed.

"I believe!" Babs exclaimed.

Apple Bloom whooped. Rarity groaned

"Okay...I belieeeeeeve!!" and then everypony was shot into the air from the ramp. As they shot up, a taxi drove under them to which contained the parents, Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumble. Inside, Cookie sighed.

"What a long day. It seem like the sun would never go down."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the back yard, the sun was slowly setting, and a party was set. It was ready to start, all it needed was the guests of honor.

"Where are they?" Dinky asked. Pipsqueak grinned, hopping in place.

"Don't worry, they'll make it." Snips looked excitedly at the clock.

"Seven seconds 'till sundown!" he said. Snails brightened up.

"Maybe it'll help if we count!" Everypony looked thought it was a strange idea, but counted down anyway.

"Five! Four! Three! Two!" At two, the group landed inside the backyard onto the backyard, grinning widely.

"ONE!" Scootaloo shouted as the sun finally sets as everyone starts celebrating.

♪ Cause you believe we can... ♪

"Yeah! We did it! Oh my gosh, that was so great!" Scootaloo cheered. Sweetie Belle hugged the pegasus, making her blush lightly.

"You guys are amazing!" she squeaked. Just then, the parents arrived, surprised at party.

"Mom, Dad!" Scootaloo exclaimed, running to hug them. Cookie chuckled.

"Oh, for us? That is so nice." she looked at Rarity and smiled proudly. "And Candace, so responsible. Not a single phone call." Rarity shrugged.

"Well, I didn't have international coverage." The mom blinked.

"What?" Rarity grinned widely at her mother.

"Never mind!" Cookie chuckled before yawning.

"Anyway, the party looks great. But you would not believe what a long day we've had. I think we're gonna turn in early." she said. Hondo nodded.

"You guys just enjoy the party, okay?" he called back as he the door. Scootaloo jumped on the build stage.

"All right, you've heard him. Let's enjoy this party!" Then music played, Scootaloo grabbed a microphone and Sweetie hopped on stage and grabbed another.
