A black box.
What was a black box doing in the middle of the road? And what were those weird characters on it? How did it get there? "PS4." What did it mean?
So many questions. I pick it up and take the box home. A few minutes of fooling around with it later, and I still don't know what it means, what it does, or what it's supposed to do.
So I decide to contact Princess Celestia. Turns out she doesn't know, either. I pass it by my friends. Applejack's just as puzzled as me. Rainbow POMF... had other things on her mind. Pinkie Pie threw it a party, stuffed the little slot thing with cake, then pronounced it dead as a duck and cover. I was about to query as to the odd nature of the phrasing when the Cutie Mark Crusaders walked up with the strangest assortment of plastic tubes I had ever seen, one with twin, D-shaped ends, another with three prongs and a polygonal… what might have been receptacle for the other end, I dunno… and another with the weirdest apparatus I had ever seen dangling from one end.
In the middle of piecing together all the pieces, Derpy walked up with a smaller plastic box. I checked it over and frowned. What did "Manhunt" mean? And why was it called the "developer's cut?" What were these other words? "Not for public release?" "UNCENSORED?" What?
I walked into the library to figure out what I had to do. After weeks of puzzling and experimenting and some not-too-kind attacks on the machine, I was finally able to turn it on.
The noise it makes upon starting it startles me to the point that I send a hoof straight through the machine.
...
Well, I guess I'm going to figure out the hardware of the machine first.
