Location: Canterlot.

A meeting was being held to discuss the aftermath of the battle of Canterlot and the senates will decide the future of the city.   

Matter-Horn landed in front of Canterlot court surrounded by protesters.

"Go back where you belong!" a protester said.

"This is our planet!” another said.

She ignored all the protest as she walked inside the senate building and walked towards the doors to the room where her future will be decided. Two ponies opened the doors for her and she walked inside and as she stand before the senate she heard.

"Today...is a day for truth." Mayor Mare said.

"The world needs to know what happened and to know what she stands for that kind of power is very dangerous." she continued.  "Let the record show that this committee holds her responsible."

"Mrs. Matter-Horn you may give you argument now." she concluded.

"Thank you Mayor." Matter Horn Started.

"Ponies of Canterlot I understand your feelings of this after Lord Teirk and his army nearly destroyed the city I urge you to please listen to what I have to say, for too long this world has been affected by evil and corruption I promise with your permission I will protected this world and everypony on it from any harm that may come our way, thank you." she concluded.

After she was finished the senate turned into a war zone with ponies arguing left and right about what to do.

“Is it really surprising that the most powerful pony in the world should be a figure of controversy?” one Senator said.

“We as a population on this planet have been looking for a savior!” another said.

“We’re talking’ about a being whose very existence challenges our own sense of priority in the universe.” another argued.

"We have a horrible track record of following ponies of great power.” another said.

And they kept arguing and arguing.

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!”

"Absolute chaos!”

"Maybe she's just a mare trying to do the right thing.”

"We know better now, don’t we?”

"She’s out of control!” 

"The world has been so caught up with what she could do, that no one has asked what she should do!"

Then the argument stopped as the door in the senate opened and in walked a unicorn mare.

"Hello, sorry I'm late I was stuck in a meeting." the mare said.

As she approached Matter-Horn she started to shake her hooves.

"This is truly an honor to meet the pony that saved the world from destruction!" she said.

"Who are you?" Matter-Horn asked.

"Oh were are my manners, I'm Starlight Glimmer CEO of Glimmer Corps, nice to finally meet you." Starlight said.

"Mrs. Glimmer may I ask what in all of Equestria are you doing here."  Mayor Mare asked.

"Pardon me for one moment Matter-Horn." Starlight Said.

"Do you know the oldest lie in Equestria senators." she continued. 

"No?" they all said at once.

"Well the lie is that power can be innocent." she said.

"I proposed that as long as Matter-Horn is willing to protect us and is also willing to follow our rules that she should be aloud to be our hero we need." Starlight said.

"Is that true." Mayor Mare Said "Will you be able to follow our rules?"

"Yes, I will." Matter-Horn said. 

"Then I hereby pardon Matter-Horn from all devastation she had caused during her fight with Tirek, all in favor say I." Mayor Mare Concluded.

"I." the rest of the senate said.

With that Matter-Horn was pardon of the destruction and is able to help ponies as long as she follows the rules the senate gave her.
