Luna gritted her teeth and flared her wings. She glanced at the now frozen Elements of Harmony, all of them were frozen with expressions of true pain. Luna cringed and turned towards Discord, who was grinning from ear to ear. Luna took a deep breath through her nostrils and widened her stance. Discord started pacing to her left, eyeing her like a wolf watching its prey. Discord stopped suddenly and slumped his shoulders.

Luna was cautious of his every move, as he was fast and agile. Luna started walking in a circle around him, her midnight wings spread in all their glory. She suddenly charged towards him, surprising him. Discord rolled to his left and flared his wings, eyes wide from shock. A satisfied grin spread across his face. This is going to be way more interesting than it was against Celestia.

Discord gave his wings a powerful thrust and was now soaring straight towards Luna, who flew to him to collide in mid-air. Luna winced as she threw punch after punch at Discord’s face. Discord roared in anger as Luna blinded him with a flash from her horn.

Discord dove towards the ground and went into a staggering landing. He lifted his hooves and rubbed his eyes while growling. He was furious at the lunar princess blocking the sun. He looked up to her. A headache rampaged through his skull as he looked up at her. A flashback rang through his head.

’’I love you, Discord...’’ Luna looked up at me, smiling softly. I looked down at her and gave her a peck on the forehead.

’’I love you too...’’

The flashback faded into obscurity by a midnight hoof making contact with his chin. Discord slid back a few feet from the hit and groaned in pain. The culprit was standing where he had been standing mere seconds ago. Her face revealed no expressions. Her eyes were blank from emotion. Discord flared his wings and dashed into her, giving her a full-on body slam. Luna reeled back, surprised from the brutish attack. Discord raised his right hoof to punch her with all he could muster. He gritted his teeth. Luna’s expression was tearful and showed that she was above all, heartbroken and scared.

Discord stopped and looked at his raised hoof. Luna noticed the yellow in his eyes flicker back to its normal white shine. Luna’s hope skyrocketed that Discord could be able to fight off the effect.

’‘Discord!’’ The confused spirit in question turned his head towards her. ’‘You have to fight back! This isn’t you! You always said that you don’t hurt ponies or turn them to stone! Yet you’ve just done both of those things!’’ Luna gritted her teeth and lifted her head a little. A small trickle of blood from Luna’s previous punches escaped his left eyebrow. Discord closed his eyes and shook his head. The yellow in his eyes had returned.

’’I am chaos...’’ Discord cracked his neck and flared his wings once again. Luna silently cursed and shot off into the air. Discord followed her. After Luna had risen significantly in altitude, she made a quick flip and headed back towards the ground and Discord. Just before they would crash into eachother, Luna gave him a powerful uppercut that made him flip onto his back in mid-air. She continued by placing her forelegs on his stomach and fly towards the ground at full speed.

Discord’s horn started glowing and Luna quickened her pace even further. Just before Discord would be able to release the magic blast, they made contact with the ground. The spell that Discord had been charging dissolved and exploded outward in a shockwave of arcane energy.

The petrified Element’s stone exterior started cracking from the sheer force of the blast. A force much like a small earthquake shook the town. Discord grunted and groaned in pain. He could barely breathe from the impressive strategy the princess of the night used on him. It took him completely by surprise.

Luna’s whole body was quivering from the strain of fighting Discord. Her last attack had drained almost all the energy she had in her reserves. She glanced at the Elements of Harmony to see Twilight Sparkle’s left foreleg and neck being visible. She ran up to the respective statues of the Elements and cracked the last of the stone imprisonment remaining on them.

Discord rolled onto his right side and braced his right foreleg beneath his stomach so he could brace himself to stand up. His breathing was raspy and hitched. He couldn’t see with his left eye as it was swollen shut. His entire stomach area was numb. But one thing that bothered him was that he didn’t know what happened and why Lu was helping Rarity remove stone from her midsection.

That’s when it hit him.

He had done this to them. Well, maybe not him but his periculum did it. It had used his body in a moments’ weakness. He felt a heavy presence in the back of his head, telling him to petrify Luna when her back was turned against him. Discord shook his head and lifted his hooves to his head, holding them to it while sitting on his flanks and rocking back and forth in a slow pace.

’’No. No. NO. NO. NO!’’ Discord’s voice rised in volume in unison with the strange presence trying harder and harder to wrestle away his control. Luna turned towards him. Luna felt bad when she saw him gritting his teeth and silently sobbing. Discord opened his eyes. They were back to their white and crimson colour. He was focusing on something intangible. The Elements of Harmony had been freed. They were trying to compose themselves. Fluttershy was even quieter than normal and didn’t dare to move a single muscle in her fragile body.

Discord stood up on shaky legs, momentarily wobbling from side to side while clenching his eyes shut. Luna bit her lip as Discord coughed up a little blood and spat it out. Discord turned around and limped away from the scene with his wings flared. Luna was about to fly up to him and stop him, but she was too slow. Discord had disappeared in a flash.

Back in Canterlot Castle, guards, servants and other personnel as well were mourning the fall of their beloved Princess. Her dull, gray form was still on the same spot as Discord had left her. They didn’t know what to do when not under the guidance from either of the Princesses. They feared that the worst had happened to the Princess of the Night. A sudden flash disturbed their mourning.

Ten feet away from the petrified princess stood an goldish-grey alicorn with a bone-white horn, a messy black and silver mane and alluring crimson eyes. The alicorn seemed to be in great pain. But when he laid his eyes on Celestia, his gaze hardened for a while only to soften again instantly after.

Discord took a few limping steps towards Celestia and cracked his neck. If he had any magic energy left, this would drain it within a second. He closed his eyes and rested his horn on the princess’ horn. A crimson aura mixed with a hint of yellow blazed to life from his horn. Discord grunted from the strain as his horn started glowing even more. With one last push, the stone around Celesia’s horn started crumbling and turning into dust.

Discord turned away from the princess and walked towards an open window. Celestia gasped for breath as her head was free. She saw Discord jumping through the window. A small note was all that was left from him.

’‘Have the Elements of Harmony ready. ~D’’

Celestia sighed and rested her head back to the cold castle floor. She had to search for her sister and the Elements later. Two guards helped her stand up and escorted her to her private quarters.

Discord was flying as fast as he could with the limited energy he still had. It wasn’t much but it was more then enough for him to get away from Canterlot, Ponyville and other civilizations. Discord gritted his teeth and momentarily closed his eyes to relieve himself from the violent winds lashing his face.

After a few more minutes of flying, Discord realised that he was now above the vast Everfree forest. His wingstrokes became irregular and poorly timed as he felt himself slipping away into unconsciousness. He tried to focus his eyesight but the rapidly increasing black blur in the corners of his eyes distracted him. After another minute of torture, Discord fell into blissfull unconsciousness. He didn’t even feel the moment of impact.

On the ground, a unicorn scout from The Discordant Anarchy had noticed the falling spirit. The teenage colt caught Discord with his magic just before he would make contact with the ground. The colt gasped at Discord’s tattered form and ran off to their temporary headquarters.

Five hours later, Discord groaned as he woke up in a strange tent. He looked around to see basic medial equipment, syringes and a small journal. Discord disregarded the items lying in the tent and stood up from the makeshift bed he had been placed on.

Discord walked past a mirror in the room and glanced into it. He ran back to the mirror and looked just above his right eye. By the edge of the eyebrow was a small scar. Discord clicked his tongue and walked outside. On the outside, a group of diamond dogs, griffons and ponies turned towards him and saluted. Discord groaned and facehoofed.

To top it off, the voice in the back of his head started shouting at him to do something drastic and hurt them for doing something against his will. He shook his head and disregarded those violent thoughts and focused on a dark brown stallion walking towards him. The captain had his trademark smirk plastered across his face.

’‘Captain Douche.’’ Discord nodded once. The captain winced and gritted his teeth in annoyance.

’’My lord, if my sources are correct, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and the Elements of Harmony is still free. Is this true?’’ Black Rush crooked an eyebrow.

’‘That is true.’’ Discord rolled his shoulders.

’‘Then we must take action and wipe them all out.’’ The captain got a wicked grin.

’‘Nope.’’ Discord rolled his eyes. The captain looked at him in confusion. ’’I never hurt anypony in my rule, I never killed anypony in my rule. I defended them, actually. Just so I could keep having my personal fun with them.’’ Discord’s eyes narrowed. ’‘The Anarchy is doing the exact opposite of my ways.’’ Discord huffed. ’‘That’s why I don’t want anything to do with any of you.’’

The captain’s expression darkened from anger. ’’I released you from their shackles!’’ He raised his voice into a shout.

’’I was happy!’’ Discord growled.

’‘You were happy by being the personal joke of Princess Celestia and the personal entertainment of Princess Luna?’’ The captain spat. Discord started shaking from anger.

’‘What did you just say?’’ The captain flinched from the tone of Discord’s voice.

’’I said, Luna doesn’t love you. She’s using you for her own pleasu-’’ Black Rush was interrupted by Discord flaring his wings and focusing his magic. Discord’s eyes started glowing in a sick yellow light as he started rising into the air from the magic flowing around him. A few stray lightning bolts cracked from the aura around him. Captain Douche took a step back from the display of power.

’‘This has been going on for too long. You have been killing innocents in my name for too long now. It is time I put an end to this. Goodbye Captain Rush.’’ Discord said in a strange voice that sent a shiver down the captain’s spine.

Everyone in the camp had witnessed and heard Discord talking to their leader. They understood the fate they had been given and said their final goodbyes to eachother. The aura around Discord started shooting out in a pulsating rythm, until a last explosion of power ended the lives for over forty ponies, griffins and diamond dogs.

As Discord floated back to the ground. He currently had a headache that could compete with the one he experienced when he was first turned into a pony. He looked around to see the charred remains of the camp. Everyone had just disappeared from existance somehow. A few feet away from him, the impressive armor of the former captain was lying in a heap of scrap metal.

Discord walked up to the armor and lifted the chestplate with his magic, inspecting it. It should fit him like a glove. He used his magic to carve out two holes in the side for his wings. When he was finished, he had the shiny black armour with the golden trims strapped onto himself. He flexed his muscles to feel if they wouldn’t be disturbed, it was perfect.

Discord knew that he had to go to one place so he could cleanse himself of the beast within him. The objects that once caused him great agony and imprisoned him twice were now the only things that could help him. He chuckled lightly and flared his wings, heading straight for Canterlot and the Elements of Harmony.
