Twilight Sparkle, who was so eager to see what a meteor looked like up close, didn't pay attention to the pleading coming from her pet Baby Dragon Spike that was being dragged across the ground with her magic.''Twilight! Let go of me! Ow! I said me let go!'' in response, Twilight came to a halt which made poor Spike go flying through the air and fall face first into the dirt.''Spike, this isn't the time to be fooling around, look up ahead!'' said Twilight who was oblivious to Spike's mouth full of dirt as she points at the two police ponies who put down a road block, thus blocking the way to the fallen meteorite.
Spike, having recovered from that wipe out, walked over to his friend with an annoyed look.''I just got a chalk full of dirt in my mouth and you're worried about a road block,'' but before Spike could finish his sentence, a blue filly wearing a star covered cape and a matching hat trampled over him and ran straight to the police, not even stopping to check on the Dragon that was now lying face first once again on the ground. Apparently, Twilight found that funny and giggled to herself as she lifted up the dazed Dragon and placed him on her back. '' Come on, let's go see if they'll let us through.''
Twilight and her now unconscious Dragon trotted over to the police, but when she got there she just so happened to be right next to her (some what) friend who lives next door. ''Trixie? What are you doing here?'' Twilight asked curiously, wanting to know why her trouble making neighbor was bothering the police, then again Trixie is always doing something odd in her spare time.''Oh! Twilight, quit being so nosy, you're bothering the cop- I mean, Police! You just go back home and I, Trixie, will tell you everything about the meteor later!'' Trixie replied cockily, Twilight could never understand who she got her attitude from, her mother or her father?
Knowing she wouldn't be able to get by the police at the moment, Twilight headed back home with her Baby Dragon who was now snoring on her back. ''Not much I can do now, might as well wait for Trixie to come get me I suppose.'' Twilight thought as she entered her house, setting Spike down on the couch and heading up stairs to rest.

Later that night.
*Knock knock knock*
*Knock-knock-knock-knock-knock*
Slowly opening her eyes, she stares at her clock. ''Only one hour and she's back? Talk about annoying.''
Grumbling, Twilight sits up from her bed and makes her way to living room to meet her annoying friend.*Knock knock knock*
Having just made it out of the hallway and still having to hear the irregular loud knocking patterns, Twilight yells at the knocker out of aggrovation.''COULD YA KNOCK ANY LOUDER?!'' when she nears the pony who gave her a not needed migraine, the door swings open and Trixie rushes right past Twilight and into the living room. ''I don't recall inviting you into the house,'' before she can finish Trixie grabs Twilight by the shoulders and shakes her. ''Twilight you gotta help Trixie! Trixie and her little sister were at the road block. Trixie waited there for the police to clear out but then when,'' having heard hoof steps coming from the stairs behind her friend, Twilight's usual migraine causing friend lets go of her and turns her attention towards Ms.Sparkle.'' My, you're looking great tonight Ms.Sparkle.'' Trixie said as a way to avoid getting in trouble by Twilight's mother for the shaking fit she just did.
Getting back up from the cold floor, Twilight pokes her friend hoping she could get her attention.''So let me guess, Dinky was gone when you turned around and you suspect that the Police are responsible, but you want me to come with you to find her anyways right?'' Twilight receives a slow nod by her energetic friend which was at least showing that she has calmed down a little. ''That's correct, and if you don't come with me then Trixie will say something that will cut you like a knife! So you have no choice but to come along!'' seeing that there was no way out of this, Twilight sighed and nodded reluctantly.
Right when they were about to leave, the still unconscious Dragon coughed up a letter. Twilight immediately levitated the letter towards her and began to read it.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
Hello,It's your dad.
''Work to exhaustion when you're young...''
