Chapter 7: Home Sweet…Twilight?!

It was Sunday afternoon and I was tired cause of that performance from last night. But at least I could rest easy now. That’s what I thought when I heard a loud knock in my door. I also remember my mom had to go to an important meeting, so she might not be coming back later tonight.
I sigh to myself and got up from bed, wondering who could it be. I guess it might be Shining since he some how knows where I live, but he still didn’t explain how he found my house. I got downstairs, open the front door, and in front of me was Twilight Sparkle at the front of my door.
“Twilight how did-” she cuts me off before I finish my sentence.
“My brother told me. Also, he thanks you for helping him getting a date with Cadence,” she said.
I thought for a while, and then it hit me. Shining Armor is related to Twilight. For few minutes of identifying if they’re really brother and sister, I accidentally said, “Don’t see how they resemble each other.” I heard Twilight giggle and look at me with a warm smile.
“Well if you must know we are blood related,” Twilight said. “So are you all alone here?” Twilight asked.
“Oh yeah, my mom is out today and wont be back tonight.” With that I saw Twilight grew a huge smile and saw a little excitement in her.
“Oh well um…that great…I mean…um…can I come in?” she said.
I let her inside the house and offer her a cup of coffee, but she decline. I went to the kitchen and pour me some and saw Twilight looking around the house. For some reason she was amazed of my house. Before she could say something, I cut her off.
“No, I’m not rich. My mom is a lawyer and my dad is in the military,” I said, while she blushes of embarrassment like I knew what she was about to say.
“So Twilight, what brings you here?” I said grabbing my coffee and sitting next to the table.
“Oh yeah. I was wondering if you would like to have a group study for Friday’s exam,” she explained.
I didn’t know there was an exam for Friday, so I agree and she smiles. I went upstairs in my room and grab some clean clothes. I came back down with my book of the class where we going to take the exam. I took a seat and started read about the cells about the human body.
Twilight was about to read, but she looked at me and said, “Say Lightning, can I ask you a question?” she asks.
I look at her. “Sure. Shoot.”
“Well it might be a stupid question, but have you ever dated someone before?” Twilight ask with a slight blush.
This question got me shocked for a moment. Have I ever dated before? Not that I’ve know of. I look at Twilight and smiled at her. “To be honest, I haven’t dated anyone. I've kind of didn’t pay attention to love, you know. I sometimes get distracted in school, work, and music. I never paid attention to romantic stuff,” I said with a smile that made her blush.
“Um…that’s…interesting…um hey…are you busy Friday night?” Twilight hide her blush behind the book. Seeing her like that made me laugh a little. She notice me laughing and look at me with a confuse face
“Hey what so funny?” she asked.
“I’m sorry. It just, you look cute when you’re embarrassed. And no, I don’t think I am not busy. Why you ask?” I said.
“Well…um, you see, would you like to catch a movie this Friday…I mean if you not busy of course.” After seeing her this shy, she would be the level of Fluttershy right now. I smile to her and said, “I would love to catch a movie. Hey, let’s invite Rainbow and the others. They may like to catch a movie this Friday too.”
Saying that made Twilight flinch and got up from the sofa and scream, “No…I mean *Cough* they might be
busy you know” she said.
“I don’t think so. I’ll call them later on and see if they can come,” I said with a warm smile making her blush and sigh before she sat back down.
“Huh, why are boys so dense?” Twilight whispered.
“What was that Twilight?” I asked, wondering what she said.
“Oh nothing, let’s get back to studying,” Twilight said.
With that we got back to studying. We read about the cells and the anatomy of something. We studied and took a little break and studied again. If I was correct we studying for four hours and Twilight realize that she needed to go.
She picks up her things and said her goodbyes after Twilight left. I cleaned the living room and made something to cook. Then I heard another knock from my door. I went and open it. When I open the door, no one was outside. Then realized there was a letter in the mailbox.
I grab the letter and started reading it.
When the first day we meet, you made my heart skip a beat. When you sing, the angels above heard your voice. I couldn’t explain how much I love you. You’re the nicest guy ever. I hope you share the same love.

A love letter? But that wasn’t important. How in the Sams hill she knew I lived here. Ok note to self. Get a guard dog. But this girl pours her heart in this letter and I'm no good at this. Like I said to Twilight, I never pay attention to this kind of stuff. Who ever she is I hope I can talk to her.

I closed my door and place the letter on my kitchen table. Maybe I can figure out later how I can resolve this. Maybe the girls can help me with this. I look at the clock and it was eight o’clock. I needed to get ready for tomorrow. So I did my routine; brush my teeth, took a shower, and put my pajamas on. I close my eyes and felt a deep slumber as I keep wondering what will happen tomorrow.
