//------------------------------// // Chapter 4:The Tour(EDITED) // Story: Broken // by Sunsetsparkle129 //------------------------------// Broken By Soarindash959 Ch 4:The Tour It was later that day. Soarin and Rainbow had a marvelous dinner, and not too long afterwards, Soarin suggested a tour of the place, for he knew that if he didn't, she'd probably get lost. He started the tour from upstairs. The first few rooms were all guest rooms, but then they entered what seemed to Dash to be the largest library ever. It, like every room before, was spotless. She wasn't that big of a booklover, but these were her kind of books. "Ha!" she gasped as she saw a book. On the cover of the book was a mare, wearing a dark cape, and behind her in the darkness of the sky were two red, evil-looking eyes staring at her. Above the eyes was written the title. "The Count of Transylvania," she read out loud. Soarin apparently took notice of Dash’s silent gasp. “Yeah, I have the whole series," Soarin replied casually. Dash's eyes lit up. "You - what? That's amazing! How?" Soarin chuckled, "I have my ways... Hey, wait, you remember these books?" Dash replied, "Yeah ... I do.” This was unbelievable; it just didn't make any sense: why did she only remember these small little details and not something life-changing? "I remember reading the first two not too long ago..." she said, rubbing her chin. Soarin's ears shot up. Maybe she only remembered this stuff because it was recent... she did see him at the academy, they even went on a night flight together the day before the crash. It may not be much information, but it was still better than nothing. "Wow! You have 'Long Live the King' too? You are officially the coolest pony ever!" she said as she picked up another book. This one had a light blue stallion with navy blue hair and big handsome emerald eyes. If she didn't know any better, she'd say it was Soarin; the only difference was that the character on the book cover had a messier mane and a scar on his eye. The stallion was standing on a cliff, surrounded by green fire as he gazed at the sky. "That’s my favorite," Soarin said as he came in closer to Dash. "I don't blame you, this book is amazing! I remember it having a huge battle scene that was simply epic!" Soarin chuckled at her comment. "Well you remember right; it was epic. Sure do hope they make a movie out of it... Hey, that reminds me..." he said, walking around Dash and out of the room. Dash put the book where she found it and followed after him. "What, do you have a movie room too?" Dash asked sarcastically. "Oh, my gosh, you do," she said, gazing at the room. The sight before her was too much to take in: the room was even bigger than the library; it had at least 6 windows, thousands of shelves filled with movie tapes stacked like the books in the library, there was a big, black screen in front of her and a few meters away was a projector. "It's beautiful," she said, still entranced. "Yep, this is by far my favorite room. I watch a movie or two here almost every day," Soarin said, walking slowly towards the black screen. "I'm surprised you haven't been in one," Dash said, chuckling to herself. "Well..." Soarin said. He sat down on a huge group of pillows. Dash's eyes shot up. "You have?" Soarin smiled awkwardly. "Just two." Dash stared at him. "Is there anything you haven't done?" Rainbow sat down next to him. "I haven't been on the moon, but considering I may not come back for 1000 years, I don't think I'd like to," he said as Dash chuckled. "Hey, what are these?" Dash asked as her eyes landed on a few movie tapes which were on the floor next to her. "Oh, those are some movies I watched last night," Soarin said. "Hey, can we watch some tonight?" Dash asked, looking back at him. "Sure, which ones do you want? I'm pretty sure I have almost every movie here." Dash smirked "Well, I can't seem to remember you in any movie I have seen, so…" Her smirk widened. "Do we have to?" He whined. "Yes!" Dash insisted. "Ugh, fine! But we'll see them tonight! Right now we need to get back to our tour, come on!" Soarin showed Dash his exercise room next, and, of course, stayed there for a good thirty minutes just showing her each and every machine, and it didn't help that Dash was barely able to walk. Next came the spa. Yes, he has his own spa... I'm not jealous... moving on. He showed her his kitchen next; it was huge, filled with all sorts of chefs. The living room was also big; but then again, every room was. The thing that got Dash’s attention was that every room looked normal, only bigger and shiner... yes, shiny, clean, and with an arrangement of fancy items. Soon enough, Soarin showed Dash his other favorite room. "You have a board-game room?" Dash stared at all the games in front of her, unable to hide her enthusiasm. Seriously, what didn't he have? Again, not jealous... "It can get very boring on off days, especially since I can't go outside without getting mobbed by fans and paparazzi," he said, leading her in. "I have so got to play all these games and beat you at them!" Dash said, looking at all the games. There were so many to look at; she didn't even know how to play half of them! "Yeah, good luck with that." Dash smirked. "Oh, so you think you can beat me?" Soarin smirked as well. "Oh, I know I can. Like I said, I've been in here long enough to master these games." Dash stopped. "Challenge accepted!" Soarin stopped as well and looked back at her. "Bring it!" They were having so much fun that they lost track of how many games they played and how many times they let each other win. It was crazy! But as fun as it was, alas, all good things must come to an end, so they decided to stop playing games and started to get a movie ready. *(Ps: Soarin won the most games; don't tell Dash I said it!)* "I got the popcorn," Soarin said. He and Dash were now back in the movie room to watch Soarin's movies. He carefully put the popcorn in front of them and sat down next to Dash on the pillows, and covered them with a warm blanket. "Great. I can't wait to see you act," Dash laughed. "Yea, yea, we'll see who's laughing at the end!" The fire rose. Flames surrounded the cage once more. Its eyes were closed as it rested calmly in its long, and peaceful slumber... but how much longer would it last? How long would the peace and harmony in Equestria last? For its hibernation was almost over... just like Equestria was.
