BOOM! CRASH! KLANG! It had been months since the two sisters had started a war and was quickly tearing equestria in two. Cities burned to the ground, dead ponies everywhere you went, it was a horrid sight that could even made the stomach of even the strongest of ponies in equestrian churn. Yet war still waged.
Back at the throne room in canterlot castle, the sisters were alone for the moment battling for control over all equestria and the power both the glorious light of day and the mysterious shroud of night. Walls cracked and blasted. Broken stone scattered all around. Windows shattered with remnants on the floor. It seemed like a war had taken place in the single room but in truth it was just the two sisters battling for equestria. One fought for peace and one fought for power.
“SISTER! STOP THIS BEFORE MORE PONIES ARE HURT!!!” Luna pleaded at she blocked Celestia magical bolts with her own. “Surrender, Luna! NO ONE BELIEVES WHAT YOU SAY! TO MOST OF EQUESTRIA, YOU! YOU ARE THE THREAT! AND I WILL DEAL WITH YOU AND TAKE MY PLACE AS RIGHTFUL RULER OF EQUESTRIA AND NO ONE ELSE!” She shouted as she threw more bolts of magic at Luna keeping her distracted as she was conjuring up a banishment spell from under all the force she was exerting.
“Sister, you have gone mad! Snap out of it!” Luna said flies upwards to dodge the magical bolts that were too many for her to disperse. “I AM GREATLY SORRY SISTER BUT I HAVE TOPROTECT EQUESTRIA FROM WHAT YOU HAVE BECOME.” She said charging up a most powerful spell. With a loud BOOM! One side of the wall closest to the two exploded into a cloud of dust leaving a hole where the wall once stood. The lunar empire, small in numbers but was well trained and efficient, had made its way to canterlot and had started the attack at the great citadel.
Luna, along with Celestia was thrown to the floor by the large explosion. Recovering Luna tried to reason “please sister. Stop this before it’s too late. Please” she pleaded, only to be met by the bolts of magic hitting her chest, blasting her to the far side of the room away from Celestia. With a hard thud Luna hit the ground, to injured to move. Now looming over Luna, was her sister Celestia “its already too late. I am sorry my sister but you have to be silenced. But as a show of mercy I will not kill you, but only imprison you in the moon forever.” She said as she was summoning all of what remained of her power to banish Luna to the moon.
As Celestia was about to banish Luna the doors leading into the throne room were blasted away. Surprisingly a small group of 3 unicorns, a Pegasus, and an earth pony, all wearing armor as dark as the night itself, had snuck past the defenses. “Caramel Swirl! Get Luna to safety! We’ll distract Celestia!” the dark blue coated earth stallion said to the yellow Pegasus mare “You got it Night Sky!” she said as she zoomed to Luna’s side to pick her up.
Celestia however was not going to let her take Luna away. ‘No, I’m too close, I cannot let her escape!’ she screamed in her mind as she was readying to blast the small mare out of the sky only to be blasted to the far end of the room, crashing into the hard stone wall of the room. “Good. Caramel! Come on! She isn’t going to stay that way for long!” he shouted as he and the three unicorns guarded the exit both from Celestia and incoming soldiers that were not their own. “I’M GOING AS FAST AS I CAN!” she snapped as she picked up Luna and zoomed back to Night. “Let’s Go! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!” Night Sky Ordered as the group of five exited the castle and entered the battle field.
“There they are! Cover them!” a unicorn soldier exclaimed as he shot bolts of magic at Celestia’s soldiers who were wearing the same golden armor, much like Celestia’s own. As soon as the group had escaped the battlefield outside of canterlot, they made their way to ponyville or more commonly called equustaverna at the time. Equustaverna had become the Temporary base of operations for the Lunar Empire as they were besieging the City of canterlot.
As the six ponies with caramel carrying Luna entered the town square they raced to the nearest medical tent. When Luna was Safely and carefully laid down on one of the beds Night Sky Ordered with a loud shout “OUR PRINCESS NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION NOW!” almost immediately three ponies, two pegasi nurse mares and an earth pony doctor stallion rushed to the scene.
As the doctor reached the tent he was shocked at the sight, Luna, on the bed, bleeding from the cuts and bruises that almost covered her whole body. And most of the parts where she wasn’t cut were burnt. It could have made him vomit on the spot but he kept it down, but it wasn’t a very good fight as one of the nurse mares flew out of the tent and began vomiting outside the tent, with a loud sigh “I’m sorry but you will have to leave for me to properly examine and the princess’s condition, after I have examined her then I can start to heal her as best I can, but please. I need you all to move out of the tent” and like that the five went out of the tent. As he moved to Luna “Go get nurse gold heart, we need to operate fast.”
Back at their tent, the five tried to take their mind off things. But one mare couldn’t let it slip. She was just too worried for her Princess. “I’m really worried about our princess” Caramel announced. “Aren’t we all?” one of the unicorns pointed out while playing with his knife my spinning it around with magic, not taking his eyes off it as he said it. “Hey, stop playing with that, someone might YAWN lose their eye.” Night sky Commented before he went back to his nap. ‘Rescuing Princesses is REAALLYY Tiring’ he said in his mind before going back to sleep.
