As we approached the source of sound and light, Pinkie Pie, seemingly out of nowhere, popped up again.
“THERE YOU ARE” She squealed.
“HOLY-…Geez, that’s one thing I might not get used to”
“And here I was thinking you wouldn’t show up, how silly of me” She helped me up again.
“Why would I miss a party for me? Lets go” I replied enthusiastically.
“Now that’s an attitude I like to hear, come on, you too Fluttershy”
“C-coming” ‘shy practically whispered.
As we headed towards the center of the party area, I saw a lot of new faces, some which were in the background when I was in town earlier. In the eye of the storm, persey, there was a stage with a girl whom had two shades of blue hair, and a pair of purple goggles. The style of music she was playing reminded me that of Skrillex and Deadmau5, which pleased me. Once we were up to center stage, Pinke grabbed a microphone and shouted.
“PONYVILLE, ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME??” To which the audience responded with a booming uproar.
“WELL ALRIGHT THEN, HERE’S OUR GUEST OF HONOR FOR TONIGHT, GIVE HIM A PROPER WELCOME” The audience boomed again as the lights moved to me. I was suddenly put on the spot, and I wasn’t sure what to do, so I just acted natural, for a normal situation though.
“Uh, what’s up?” To my relief, the crowd of people was so amped up that they didn’t really care, and the uproar started again. This gave me more confidence as I ran to execute a stage dive. The audience was more than willing to oblige as they caught me and carried me around and back to the stage, all while Pinkie was laughing and saying, “I like his style”. Once I was back on my feet she called to the crowd.
“Alright, everyone enjoy the night” We walked off stage and let the dj do her job so we could mingle with everyone else. We gathered in a circle to talk for a bit.
“Well that was an interesting way to introduce yourself to the town” Twilight said as she approached me.
“What can I say, I’ve always wanted to do that, so I took my chance”
“Well it looked pretty awesome from the crowd, now I wanna try it”
Dash piped in.
“Haha, well the crowd has seems to broken up, another time perhaps”
“Awww” She slumped
“C’mon, cheer up, lets enjoy this party”
She jumped at that idea “Well then what are we waiting for?”
The seven of us started to make our way through a crowd, and I was getting high-fives, pats on the back, and friendly hits to the shoulders all the way through. Wow, these people are really friendly, I’ve never met such a large group of friendly people. I got to take more of a look around and there was everything, and I mean everything. Games, food and drink, small rides, it was practically a fair.
“Geez, how could you organize this so quickly, we only met earlier today?”
“Sugar cube, its best not to ask, no one has figured it out yet, not even us.” Aj told me as she put her hand on my shoulder. Pinkie just stood there with that huge grin and asked.
“So do you like it?”
“This is by far the greatest party I have ever attended” I answered, meaning every word of it. Sure, I’ve had some really good ones, but this is massive, with an entire town in attendance, just to welcome me, it blew my mind. Looking back to Pinkie, her eyes were sparkling with joy, and her smile somehow managed to get even bigger and she jumped over and hugged me.
“THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!”
“Heh, no problem, you deserve it, if you can organize this whole thing in the time you did, then what the hell, you earned a pat on the back”
“Oh you’re too much, now lets go PARTY”
“Agreed” I told her.
Just as we were about to head onwards, a carriage suddenly made an appearance at the festivities. It was black, with dark blue designs. Suddenly, just as the door opened, everyone kneeled down. I stood un confusion until Rarity pulled me down into the proper position.
“What’s going on?” I whispered to her.
“That’s the princesses carriage” She hissed at me.
All I could say was “oh”. I looked upwards ever so slightly to see a regal looking woman; well… she seemed to be only a few years older than me. She stood tall and proud, with a small crown atop her head. Instead of having regular hair, she had a flowing abyss of blue with what looked like star specks in it. Also unique to her was she had both wings and a horn, both larger than the ones I’ve seen so far, the horn bring about 7-8 inches, and since her winds were folded, I couldn’t tell how big they were. She wore dress that was the same color of her ‘hair’. She had a necklace that looked like it was the equivalent to the royal jewels of England. She had a stern look on her face, until.
“What’s with all this seriousness? This is a party, is it not?” She laughed.
Everything resumed as before, Twi and everybody walked up to the princess, so I followed closely behind.
“Princess Luna, what are you doing here?” Twilight asked her
“I had some free time, and I caught wind that a Pinkie Pie party was underway, and I never want to miss a Pinkie party, I just wish to know the occasion of this joyous event”
“Well, it’s a welcome party”
“Welcome party? For whom?”
“I can answer that, it’s for me” I piped up
“And whom might you be?”
“No one special, just someone new in town, and, country at that.”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Well, it’s kind of a long story…”
“Then may I ask you to save it for another time? We must enjoy this party whilst it lasts.”
“I won’t argue with that, lets go”
We spent the rest of the night doing everything imaginable. Played awesome games, ate amazing food, laughed and joked, it was incredible. There was one point where I was sent alone with Luna, and her guard of course. Everyone else was getting food or going to the bathroom. We were waiting on top of a hill for them.
“From what I’ve heard, you control the night, and position the stars, correct?” I asked her, feeling more confident being around royalty for so long. We both gazed at the clear sky.
“Yes, why do you ask?”
“Well, earlier tonight, I got some time to look up and take it in, and…it’s breathtaking”
“Are you saying you couldn’t breath??” She sounded worried
“Hehe, no, I mean that it looks absolutely amazing, we have nothing like it where I’m from” I looked to her. She was lightly blushing.
“Thank you, that means a lot”
“You must hear it all the time though, I mean, these people are lucky enough to live under this artwork” Now she was looking downward, somewhat sad.
“You don’t know, do you? What happened? ” She almost whispered.
“No… are you ok? Was it something I said?” I started to get nervous
She perked up unnaturally quickly. “No, its alright, if anything, it is a story for another time, tonight we celebrate” She got up as she noticed the others approaching.
“Thank you again” She told me, as soon as we regrouped, everything went back to normal.
By the time the party was over, we were so tired we had to help carry each other to our respective houses. At each stop everyone would tell Pinkie that she had outdone herself, and soon it was just ‘Shy, Pinkie, Aj and myself. We were dropping off Pinkie at what looked to be a bakery, but it was dark, and I was tired, so I just accepted it and thanked her again.
“It really was amazing, I wonder what you do for bigger events”
“Silly, there’s nothing more important that making a new friend” She bounced.
“Wow, that was, incredibly insightful, you’re just full of surprises, haha”
“Yupp” She grinned
“Well, g’night, Ill see you tomorrow”
“Bye for now sugarcube” Aj told her. Fluttershy would have said something, if she weren’t passed out from exhaustion. Since her farm was on the way, Aj and I ended up carrying ’Shy down the dirt trail back to her house.
“Well then…that was…. intense” I was still somewhat out of breath and I knew I was going to be sore in the morning.
“*pant* I know whatcha mean sugarcube, I haven’t worked myself that hard since the main apple harvest last year”
“That’s sounds pretty awesome, heh, the last time I was worked this hard to the bone was when I went mountain climbing”
“You got a lot of interesting hobbies, y’know that?”
“Yea, I get that a lot”
“Maybe one day you cn show me some of ‘em, I gotta say, they do sounds interestin”
“I’d be more than happy to, but we might want to wait until we heal up”
“Heh, I couldn’t agree more….Well, this is mah stop, can you carry her the rest of the way?” She asked. I looked up and noticed the entrance of Sweet Apple Acres.
“Yea, its not to far from here, I can handle it”
“If ya say so, g’night partner, I’ll see ya around”
“Back at you”
I was thinking about asking Aj about what happened with Luna, but I decided it was best to save that question for another time. I stumbled the rest of the way home, surprising myself with the endurance I had. I tried to stay as steady as possible so as to not wake up Fluttershy. When I finally got inside, I moved her around, so I was carrying in my arms. I laid her gently on her bed and practically crawled into my bed, where I passed out, awaiting for the morning sun.
A bright beam of light slashed its way into the room and pierced my sleep. I woke up with a startle and looked around. Fluttershy was humming to herself, and moving around the cottage as if it was a normal morning.
“Hey, what’s going on?” I mumbled, still whirling in wake up shock, and feeling my sore muscles that I predicted would happen.
“Nothing really, why do you ask?”
“Do you not recall the massive party last night? We were all clocked out, I carried you back”
“You did? I’m so sorry, and I have something that might help with your after party blues” She flew downstairs, fumbled with some things in the kitchen, and dashed back up.
“Here, drink this” She said as she handed me a glass that was filled with most likely a smoothie. Seeing how she was completely normal, I chugged it without question.
“Wow, this is great, what’s it made of?”
“Oh, just some herbs and berries”
“Well whatever it is, it’s delicious”
Just as I finished the statement, I suddenly felt a rush of…good. I’m not sure how to put it, but I just felt myself being heal and energized instantly.
“Did it kick in yet?”
“Yea, wow, I don’t even know what to say, thank you”
“No problem, I have a breakfast prepared downstairs when you’re ready”
“Sounds awesome, I’ll be ready in a few minutes” I got up and walked to the bathroom, showered quickly, rewrapped my arm and leg, and went downstairs to start the new day.
