The race starts with a bang. Latios and Rainbow Dash both break the sound barrier within the first five seconds of the race. As they pass trees the force of the wind tears of all their leaves and most of their branches, and some trees were ripped out of the ground. Both of them suddenly take to the skies for the first leg of the race where they race through the very track where Rainbow Dash first performed the sonic rainboom. Both of them flew threw the course with ease. The two looked like neither of them could out fly the other. Until Rainbow Dash put both hooves foreword and a rainbow colored cone started forming in front of her, but at the same time Latios's mega stone started glowing brightly.
"What's going on?" I ask Spitfire
"Rainbow Dash is trying to create a sonic rainboom." Spitfire tells me
"What's a sonic rainboom?" I ask
"When Rainbow Dash goes fast enough she creates a rainbow and a sonic boom at the same time, but what's happening to Latios?" Spitfire asks
Before I'm able to answer her a massive explosion shakes the earth. We look up and see a massive rainbow colored ring in the sky followed by a rainbow trail and a purple trail. We look around and don't see Rainbow Dash or Latios. Suddenly Rainbow Dash and a purple figure flies past us, and then a massive wind hits me and Spitfire. We're knocked back a few dozen meters before rolling to a stop.
"What was that?" Spitfire yells
"That was Mega Latios, but how is that possible?" I tell her
Suddenly another monstrous explosion shakes the ground. We then see a massive green light in the distance. Spitfire races off in that direction. Her Talonflame then Grabs me with its talons and flies off towards Spitfire.
"I'm not a big fan of flying at high speeds Spitfire! I think i'm going to vomit!" I yell before vomiting
"Talonflame look out!!!" Spitfire yells to Talonflame
A massive green beam of energy comes out of nowhere striking me and Talonflame. Talonflame drops me and I crash into the ground. When I got up Talonflame was launching powerful attacks at this large, dark, unicorn-bug like hybrid. I then notice both Mega Latios and Rainbow Dash were trapped in this green force field. The dark creature launched another beam of energy at Talonflame and Spitfire. They were both trapped in a forcefield just like the one Latios was in.
"Who are you!" I yell at the creature
"I'm Chrysalis...Queen of the Changelings. I told you that Pokemon were dangerous look around you. The landscape is destroyed be cause of this Latios. this land was going to be the home for my subjects. I was expecting more of a fight from this Latios, and now that I have captured one of the elements of harmony nothing can stop me." She says before breaking into an evil laugh
"Well sorry to burn your parade, but I'm still able to fight." I tell her
"That was a horrible pun Quilava! I thought I was bad at making puns, but that's just sad." Rainbow Dash said from inside her magical prison
"Hey! You come up with a pun on the spot!" I yell
"You think you could beat me. What a wonderful but absolutely ridiculous sentiment." Chrysalis tells me
"Not to put any more holes in you, but last time you said that you were beat by Shining Armor and Princess Cadence's love almost instantly after you said that." Rainbow Dash told Chrysalis
"Silence!!! You have no idea who you fighting against." Chrysalis explains
I then see behind her a red jet like figure, and it was Latias and she was angry.
"Who said I would fight you, and you forgot a small detail about Latios." I tell Chrysalis pointing to the angry pokemon behind her
Latias then fires a massive dragon pulse attack at Chrysalis, and at point blank range as well. Chrysalis was caught off guard and was quickly pinned to a wall by Latias.The force fields disappear and everyone surrounds Chrysalis.
"I knew that someone would try to capture Latios, so I knew I would have to find Latias. I also knew that Fluttershy had probably found her and took care of her until she was fully healed. Latios and Latias are mentally connected so when Latios was in trouble Latias knew just where to find him." I explain
"Talonflame use hurricane!!!" Spitfire orders Talonflame
"Latios use mega dragon pulse!!!" Rainbow Dash tells Latios
Then all together Latios, Latias, Talonflame, and I launched powerful attacks at Chrysalis. Chrysalis was launched through the sky and flew so far she was out of all of our view. Then Twilight suddenly appeared in front of us.
"What happened? I saw a green light and heard an explosion." Twilight asks
"How did you get here?" I ask
"Teleportation spell." answers Twilight
"It was so AWESOME!!! First there was....Then...It's too awesome to explain, but it needed to be about twenty percent cooler." Rainbow Dash states
Everyone but me and Twilight started laughing. Nether of us got the joke. When we all returned back to Twilight's library, and Spitfire and Talonflame left Rainbow Dash had a question for me.
"When everyone blasted Chrysalis I felt like I had some strange bond with Latios, is this what you were talking about when Luna became friends with Umbreon." Rainbow Dash asks
"Yes if it weren't for that bond Latios would not have mega evolved. I'm positive you found yourself your partner pokemon." I explain to Rainbow Dash
"Hey Latios...I've been thinking... Would you like to be my partner pokemon?" Rainbow Dash asks Latios
Latios gets a big grin on his face and hugs Rainbow Dash. Latias stays with Fluttershy, so it looks like both pokemon found a home. it looks like all has ended well.
