Part 1: Finale

Galloping back to the house, she was rushing to make it on time. bumping into the door, rushing past Spike who was busy tidying up the library.

“W-What’s the rush Twilight?” Spike asked, moving misplaced books to their proper locations.

“Going to meet Luna for lunch!” She replied excietedly. Putting down her saddle bags and brushing her mane, getting in order. While straightening out her hair, Spike leaned on the wall next to her, with a suspicious look.

“Slow down Twilight. All this adrenaline is not good for your health. Why would Luna sit down with you, and only you?”

“I don’t know.. But it doesn’t matter, it’s lunch with one of the princess’!”
Spike chuckled and smiled at Twilight.

“Just.. Are you feeling well?”

“Yeah. It’s just lunch Spike. What more could it be.”

“Just lunch?”

“What are you implying? You think.. Oh my..” Twilight blushed. Spike’s smile turned more into a grin, and walked around, looking at her.

“A date. How splendid. Growing up a little. But, should it be mares with colts?”

“W-Why not? It seems like the other way around doesn’t make a difference at all. And why are you being so nosy? No offence but your just a kid.”

“Eh.. Just common sense Twi. I’ve been researching a little myself you know.” Spike replied, ignoring the insult.

“J-Just don’t tell anypony else, please?”

“It’s fine Twilight. I promise.” Spike said, putting a crescent moon hair pin on Twilight’s hair. Looking more presentable now, she took a deep breath and trotted out the door. Spike closed the door behind her and brought a book over to the table.

“Pony Relationships.” He said out-loud, beginning to read.

After Twilight left, Luna wanted to learn some more information before the ‘date’ occurred. She walked over to Sweet Apple Acres, and tripped over a small, yellow foal.

“I’m sorry Princess, are you looking for someone?” She asked, looking up at the towering Luna above.

“Yes.. The one called, Applejack. Is she here?” Luna replied, looking around. A loud whacking sound came from a bunch of trees, catching her attention. Walking into the tree bunch for a moment before coming into a clearing, where Applejack was bucking trees. Not noticing the her appearance, irritated her.

“Applejack?” Luna said sharply, with a glare. Applejack stopped bucking and bowed immediately.

“A thousand pardons Princess Luna. I have to make deadlines you know, but I’m ahead of schedule. Can I help you?” Applejack replied kindly.

“How much do you know about Twilight Sparkle? I have a da-..” cutting off mid sentence. Applejack blinked blankly, then took off her hat.

“I beg your pardon?”

“We’re having lunch in a bit, I need some information on her. I have nothing to talk about with her.” Luna replied, holding back her blush she wanted to let out.

“What is there to know? She’s a kind, caring pony. Also obsessed with magic and the princesses, like you.”

“Hmm.. Thank you Applejack. You helped me out in a time of need.” Luna said, helping moving all the apples off the trees into the basket with her magic.

“Mighty kind of you Princess. Hope to see you again soon!” Applejack said, waving her hat good bye. Luna, happy as a bee, walked to the center of Ponyvile, and looked at the clock tower.

‘Almost noon.. Best get going to meet Twilight’ Luna thought. Picking up her pace, she reached the restaurant, and walked to the empty table on the patio. Sitting down, a young waiter mare walked over to greet her.

“Hello Princess. May I take your order? Or must you need a few minutes to look at our menu.”

“A few minutes, thank you.” she replied. The waiter bowed and walked inside. Luna’s heart warmed, but breaking out a little. Twilight walked behind and around Luna, to sit across from her.

“Hello Twilight.. Welcome.”

“Thank you, Princess.. Did you order?”

“It’s Luna.. Just Luna. And no, I did not order, here she comes now.” The waiter approached both of them, bringing some cups of water.

“Some water to tie you guys over. Are you ready to order?” She asked.

“The usual.” Twilight replied. Luna smiled at her, and gave the waiter her menus back.

“Two croissants, and a glass of orange juice.” She told the waiter with a smile. As she walked off, Luna looked over a Twilight, noticing the hair pin she had on. Twilight looked back and forth around here, with questioning eyes.

“W-What is it? Is it something behind me?”

“It’s nothing. Just like the hair pin that you put on.” Luna said smiling. Twilight looked up at her crescent moon hair pin and blushed.

“I didn’t know.. Spike did this..”

“It’s cute. It compliments me in what I do best. Raise the moon and the beautiful night.”

The waiter brought Luna her meal and looked over at Twilight.

“Your meal will be finished in a few moments, thank you for the wait.” she said before walking back to the kitchen.

“What did you order?” Luna asked, nibbling on her food.

“A hay and grass sandwich. The usual for me, I come here often.” Twilight said, holding back a question she didn’t know if she should ask or not. Luna noticed that she was holding back something, from the look of her eyes.

“Something bothering you Twilight? You can ask anything. This is a open table.”

“Would this be considered a ‘date” Luna?” Twilight said, blushing slightly. Luna didn’t know what to say back.. So she would be up front about it.

“I would consider it to be so. I came here to meet you any way. So why not? Your a likeable mare.” she replied with a friendly face, before blushing in front of her. Twilight fell to the floor after that answer, making Luna laugh. Twilight got back up, and started laughing with her, feeling more relieved to get her feelings out to Luna. Same with Luna. The waiter brought Twilight’s food, and Luna got up and crossed over to Twilight, then kissed her on the cheek, sending the other guest around them to go into a shock. Twilight blushed and kissed her back, knowing that there was no turning back from this relationship.
