Now that their is a Latios loose in Cloudsdale Spitfire leader of the Wonderbolts asks Rainbow Dash for help. I tell Spitfire that they need my help because I know how to stop a pokemon. I can't fly but Twilight knows a spell that can make ponies walk on clouds. We go to Twilight's library to find the spell, but a white unicorn and small purple dragon seem to be waiting for us to arrive.
"Twilight you're okay!!!" The dragon cheers
"Spike I told you I would be alright." Twilight tells the dragon
"Me and Rarity were finding gems when Rarity found this odd stone. It looks like more of an artifact than a stone though." Spike explained to Twilight
" It's a beautiful stone, but it seems to have some sort of odd power." The unicorn states while taking out the stone out of her saddle bag.
The stone was a perfect sphere looking like it had some DNA like strand in the center.
" Is that a mega stone?" I ask
"A mega stone? Is that some kind of pokemon artifact?" Twilight asks me
"Yes there are very few pokemon who could use it. Bring it inside and i'll explain more." I tell everypony
"Can this be used to stop Latios?" Spitfire asks me about the stone
"No if anything it will make Latios stronger, or it will make something powerful enough to beat him." I answer
"Can you use it?" Twilight asks
"The mega stone won't work without a key stone." I explain
"So is every rock magical where you come from?" Rainbow Dash asks
"No but no one knows where they come from." I explain further
"Enough about the stone what do you know about Latios." Spitfire tells us trying to complete the task at hand
"Well I have a question for you. Has Latios attacked anybody?" I ask Spitfire
"He has attacked several times." Spitfire tells me
"That's not right. Latios is a very loving pokemon, but is very protective of his sister Latias." I tell Spitfire
"Latias...does she look like Latos but is red instead of blue." Spitfire asks
"How did you know that?" I say stunned
"There was a Latias with Latios for a while, but when we were making a scheduled storm she disappeared." Spitfire explains
"Oh no...This is bad...Get me to Cloudsdale now!!!" I say starting to panic
"What's wrong?" Twilight asks
"Latios is extremely powerful and greatly cares for his sister. Now that she is missing he is very furios." I tell her
"Would the elements of harmony be able to stop him?" Spitfire asks
"They did not work on Quilava I doubt they will work on latios." Twilight tells her
"Guys I don't mean to interrupt, but the mega stone is glowing." Spike interrupts
"That's odd only three things make it glow. If the pokemon the stone mega evolves is near it, a key stone is near it, or it's been activated by a key stone." I explained
I take the stone on walk around the tree trying to find what is making it glow, but when I pass Rainbow Dash her cutie mark starts glowing.
"Rainbow... your cutie mark...it's glowing." Twilight says intrigued
"What does it mean!!! Am I going to explode!!!" Rainbow Dash yells out
"Not likely it means one of two things. You're a living keystone or...you can mega evolve." I say dumbfounded at a loss for words
"That's...that's...AWESOME!!! But i'm not a pokemon." Rainbow Dash yells full of excitement
Before I say anything she grabs the stone and flies off towards Cloudsdale, and Spitfire races after Rainbow Dash. Twilight rushes in to the library and brings out a book. She then blasted me with a beam of energy.
"What was that for?" I ask her
"That spell should make you be able to walk on clouds for three days." She explains to me
"Good and I know just how to get to Cloudsdale." I tell her
"A balloon." she asks
"No a convenient unexplainable transition." I explain
"That makes no sense." She tells me
