The Gala was on. Twilight didn't want this to end tragically. She couldn't find sunset anywhere. Sunset was in a backroom with a stallion. the stallion she had gone to the gala with. She was having a very heated make out with this stallion. One she felt was sincere and passionate. Sunset was so foolish to think that this was all true. It wasn't taking long for everything to go wrong. The stallion slowly pulled away from sunset.
"I find it funny that you honestly believed that a stallion like me could like a Mare like you." The stallions horn started to glow. Twilight was frantically looking for her daughter.
"Hey miss have you seen sunset shimmer." She asked as the mare pointed to a magical projection on the wall nearby that everypony was watching. Her bullies were beating on her while the stallion she was with was using magic to broadcast it to the party. Twilight immediately broke into a sprint to find her. Twilight felt as tears began to fill her eyes. She knew she was going to be to late.
"wow I cant believe you thought a stallion could like you." One of the female bullies said as she kicked sunset hard in the gut. Sunset made no noise or notion to feeling the pain. "Are you even listening anymore you weirdo." The mare said as she kicked her again. The stallion continued to broadcast this to everypony. sunset slowly turned her head towards the mare. Her eyes were pitch black.
"she heard you." sunsets horn started to glow with pure black magic. sunset screamed out as a blast of Cyan rings busted from her body. They started to spin rapidly as Demonic wings ripped out from the inside of her dress. The Energy from sunset started to make the broadcast of magic flicker. The image on the wall disappeared as Sunsets coat color started to turn red and a crooked smile spread across her face. Twilight was holding a hoof to her own mouth as she saw what she had seen once before. Twilight had to find her baby. she had to calm her down. Twilight saw a light blue light peering from under a door nearby. that had to be where she was. Twilight rushed to the door. Half way there the door blasted off it's hinges. Empress flew out the door holding the stallion who had been broadcasting Sunsets humiliation. empress started to broadcast an image on the wall herself.
"Put me down... it was a joke it was just a joke." the stallion screamed out.
"Just a joke?" empress said as she was floating above the crowd "I think your viewers would beg to differ~!" sunset raised a hoof and the ponies below her started to freeze in place. "Nopony is going anywhere. This stallion has a show to finish." she flapped her wings as she heard the familiar voice of Twilight.
"Sunset don't. Put him down~!" Twilight stood on a balcony edge. "this isn't you. I raised you~!"
"quiet mother your opinion isn't needed~!" she swipes her hoof and the crowed below her turns to dust. "This stallion said it was a joke....Speaking of which?" she dropped the stallion to the floor and landed before Twilight. "What happened to that promise of your~!" empress placed a hoof o Twilights head. and the memory flashed through her head.
"Awwwwww sweetie I didn't mean t-to scare you." Twilight teared up hearing she had scared her. "Mommy was just......thinking." Twilight knelt down and nuzzled her baby girl. "Mommy would never hurt you."
"your eyes looked like Emp's when she's mad at me." Sunny said as she started to talk about her imaginary friend again.
"Don't worry honey. your safe as long as your with me. I promise I wont let anything happen to you." Twi smiled at Sunset.
Empress slowly removed her hoof from Twilights head. twilights eyes were filled with tears as Empress floated before her.
"I'm so sorry sunset I never protected you like I had promised. You don't have to do this." she started to cry as she realized there was probably nothing she could do to help her.
"stop calling me sunset~!" Empress flapped her wings and the stallion she had set down floated up and dropped back down. As he hit the ground Blood shot out of his mouth from the impact. "My name is Empress and you will address me as such." empress looked around the room. "now where is my beloved Celestia?" Her eyes flashed completely cyan as she mentioned the name of the one who had brought her back into sunset.
"i'm right here Empress. I see I have made a mistake by allowing you back into that body. Twilight was right. I was foolish enough to let you back in." Celestia lowered her head in regret. she slowly raised it with a look of anger on her face. Celestia tackled Empress to the ground. Twilight reached out In sorrow.
"Celestia. Noooooo~!" Twilight turned to go help Celestia.
"Run Twilight, Go NOW~!" Celestia's Horn began to glow in a bright and vibrant golden color.
"Celestia, No she will kill you, Come run with me!" Twilight hollered.
"Then at least I'd be dying for a good cause, NOW RUN~!" Celestia yelled as she shot a beam of energy at Empress. Empress responded with firing a Black magic beam at hers. Their magic beams locked up.
"Step aside, Twilight has interfered with my plans one too many times already.... SHE NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH~!" Empress growled as her horn began to spark. She was putting fourth so much energy. Celestia was not a weak being. She knew how to fight when she needed to.
"Your plan ends with me." Celestia flapped her wings and she flew up. She continued to keep her magical beam locked up with Empresses magic.
"We will have to see about that!" Empresses hooves began to glow in a cyan glow. She lifted her front hooves and she used magic through them to grab Celestia. Empress threw her off of her and into a wall.
"Get your ugly face away from my sister!" Luna shot a blue beam of energy at Empress. The magical beam hit Empress smack dab in her side. She flew back into a wall. Luna kept shooting beams of energy at empress allowing her sister to escape. Luna looked back to see Celestia was getting out of the room. That one small moment of Lunas lack of attention was enough for Empress to lunge her mouth into the princesses neck. Empress bit down hard easily penetrating her skin. She bit down until Luna was motionless.
"One down Two to go." Empress flapped her wings turning Luna into a solid statue of ash. As she walked over her causing her to crumble She set her sight on Celestia. As she walked flame hoofprints were left behind. "Oh Celestia come on out so you can join your sister." empress let out a voice that made cracks in the walls around her.
"Empress I understand your anger. If taking my life will end this then do it." Celestia stepped out from behind her. "i never wanted this, My sister didn't deserve this. That should have been me, it was her mistake in protecting me that got her killed."
"Awwwwwwwwwwww how touching of you to be so willing to die for a cause that is not going to change no matter what you give me." Empress gave a grin.
"Though i know you wont kill me.... Tiger Lily." Celestia said with a smile. "Your ....my daughter... made into Empress because of... me" the name Tiger lily sent Empress into a load of pain.
"That name...what is that name~!" she let out a scream as she put her hooves on her temples.
"I had a daughter named Tiger Lily. she died and turned into something evil. I banished you I put your spirit in that portal. You went into sunset when she put on that crown. That's who you really are~!" Celestia spread her wings as her horn started to glow.
"your lying~!" Empress spread her wings and flew up through a hole in the ceiling. Celestia looked up through the hole and sighed as twilight walked out from around the corner.
"who is tiger lily~!" Twilights horn was glowing In anger.
