As the train continues to move through the cliff edges of the mountains, moving far away from Canterlot and the skies started to rain. Ruby bring out her tape recorder to begin her interview with her friend, Firespark.

"So Firespark, shall we begin? I just wanted to add that there is too many rumors about what happened with you and the clan leader. So I'm hoping to hear your side of the story, so we can clear them out." 
She ask her. 

Firespark nods her head for Ruby to start asking questions to her. 

"OK. How would you describe the beginning of that hunt for the clan leader of the vampires in Transylmania? It's all you if want to put it into a story form." 

Firespark looked towards her right remembering the events that took place over there.

"Well it all started when I just got out there. Not knowing what to expect but it was dark, cold, covered in snow, and empty. This village out there didn't had anypony running around or doing any type of business from outside or in. When I was trotting my way in. I can sense some one was watching me and it started to put me at unease. The feeling took up all of my senses to a point this going to get rough for me...."

Then I've heard some noises coming from the old and beat up building. I had my weapon ready but then the next thing I've noticed somepony came out of the building and approaches me. I look at the shadowy figure and yelled at it. 

"Holt! Who goes there?!"


There was no response coming from the being. Then it begin to reply in a barely audible words, but when she did got closer I could barely make out the words. It sound like a she, and she is saying "help me..." This had put a chill down my spine. As this filly figure got closer it fell down. I trotted over to where she had fallen at I picked her up. She was shivering I looked around to see if anypony else would come to her aid but no pony showed up. So I took her to the nearest building to get her back on her hooves hopeful to find a fireplace to get her warmed up as well for myself. This place is very cold that nopony could stand it. 

As we got in the building there is no pony to found in it.

*Is this town a ghost town or something?*

I've found the fireplace in the building and place the little filly next to it. Then I found some firewood near by it and gone ahead to light it up.

*Ah... That feels good. Nice and warm.*

I looked at the poor little filly laying there not even moving and just breathing lightly. This saddens me to see a child being left in the cold like this with barely anything to keep her warm. I hope that she wakes up from her sleep and so I can ask about her parents. Afterwards I myself went to bed knowing that there is still danger in the air...

The following day she woke up from her slumber. With a sigh of relief knowing that she is going to be ok. The poor little filly looked around herself and then she just lock her eyes on me.

"Where am I?"
she ask.

"You are no where special but you are safe for now. What is a child like you doing out in the cold?"

The little filly looked around some more before the it hits her and she have the most grim look that anypony can give.

"This place is not safe! We need to get out of here now....! They took my parents and my parents told to run as fast as I can so they don't take me. Why are we still here?!"
She pled.

"Well I'm here to carry out my mission to take out that goes bump in the night. I just found you coming up to me tired and weak. I have made you something to eat so you can get your strength back."

She clam down and looked at the food and started to eat. It wasn't much but it's enough to get her back on her hooves.

"Thank you, miss."
She happily smiles.

"It's not a problem. The name is Firespark."

She is just happy to know that she has been saved by somepony and not being killed by a vampire. I just smiled but let her know how to escape from this place. She even gave me info about what lies ahead and other useful ting about the area. I want to let her know about the route that can get her out of here.

"Well my little pony I needed to tell you something. There is an escape route from where no such evil will follow especially during the day or night. I have these items that you in your escape."

I give her a map and a holy item that is known to keep evil creatures at bay. I on the other hoof don't need them because I already know my way out and can defend myself when needed. She is happy to know that I aid in her escape from this frozen hell hole. I escort her to the near by route and let her go and I promise her that I'll find her parents and it's a promise that I'm not sure if I can keep.

After this now I can tort way know that I save somepony's life and that always put me in a good mood. My main focus is the dark tower in the mountain background of this god forsaken village and I know that this clan leader is going to throw every minion at me. 

I made it there, on top a hill. All I could see as I come close towards the tower and there it was a hordes of monsters, snow and a forest.

"So it begins...." ~sigh~
I sighed to myself.

This just gave me the idea on how it will to approach this horde of these monsters. It was just me, a lone hunter verse many monster that is under the control of the clan leader of the vampires of this region. 

I know if I made a lot of noises by hacking my to victory, they will all attack me, all at once, and I'll just be dead meat. So I would do what would any good strategist would do, go fly over them. The look on those hordes of monsters, as I did this was great to laugh at. But I cocky to realized that a lot of them can fly. 

"Oh, crap...! You bad boys want to play! Then come at me!"
I shouted.

All of them did follow me through the near by the forest. I dodge the trees and I saw a few of them hitting the trees, here and there. At this rate I could get close to the gates of the tower. 

I finally made my way to the gates and I've gotten pass through them and I quickly closed them just to hear them hitting the hard. They're still coming after me as they avoid the gate. 

I could see the main door for the tower. I leap for it just to get away from the horde of monsters. It's was a close call but I made it in and closed the door behind me and barricade that door quickly as I could. After that I could hear them screaming and banging the door.

"Damn... that was close... At least that will keep them out for now..." 
I was breathing heavily.

As soon as I could clam down and looked around the insides of the tower. The place is huge and full of gothic motifs it is dark and have candle lights flickering as I go a bout. When I was outside it just look like a not so wide building, Just a tall tower. They must be using magic to make it looked that way.

The air in the place is cold and still, with a sense of dread to go with it. I kept my cool and start to made my way to the inner working of the tower. Going through the long hallways of the tower, there isn't much to look at besides framed artworks and knights armor holding their weapons next to them. 

I finally reached this room at the end of the hall. This made me feel that this was too easy to get to. Normally there is other vampires ready to attack you in moments of just getting in their domain or traps going off, this is different. Different from the rest in my past missions.

Opening the door to the room had me sweeting for a bit, not knowing what to expect to come out of it. Once the day open I had my weapon ready, and I looked around and there was nothing in there, I went in just get a closer look around. Just a few candle stands some red curtains hanging drape open with a framed picture of a familiar yellow pegasus and next to her is a black earth stallion. 

*I know I've seen the yellow mare before but where...? I wonder who is this stallion? Could it be the target, I'm after?*

The door close shut behind me and this made realized that I slip up and have been found by the leader himself. I pulled out my weapon and I haven't turn around yet when I heard that. Only a deep, dark and menacing voice can be heard.

"Hm, hm, hm, ha.... Well look what I have here, an intruder...! If I was you this is a bad time to be here."

I quickly turn around to look at what am I going to face, it is him. Tall, dark with a red mane and piercing yellow and red eyes, he look as like the stallion in the portrait behind me now. He have a smirk that would send shivers down anypony's spine. I was ready for anything at this moment but to talk.

"So you were looking at the photo there. It of me and my love from long ago, mortal...! Do you know who she is?"

This the first time that any of these vampires would ask me questions like this. All I can think to myself is what is he trying to do, by doing this. This is just crazy, most of these vampires would go for the attack. Now I can see why would he leading them. If he is doing all of this, he have to be powerful.

"No I don't. What does this have thing to do with anything!?"

"Hmmm. I thought you would, because since you are one of those weak hunters of that silly brotherhood that I despised so much. You might have of come a cross her once in your travels. I've heard of somepony who had laid there hooves on her, once. I believe it is you, mortal...!"

I'm starting to sweet at what he is saying here. I know, I have seen this vampire once when I was just a filly. This doesn't matter me now but I'm going to find out why there is a lot things about this vampire, later. Why does it seems that everypony wanted to get her in their clutches, from killing her, to capturing her, to protecting her in the end she just an blood sucking vampire. My mind shift back to the evil vampire in front of me.

"Well you should know! I did put my hooves on her, just to save my friend from her. She like just like the rest of you, bloodsuckers!"
I taunted at him.

"So you are the one, good... I just wanted you know she isn't like us at all. You'll find out soon but not from me but from her. Is there any last thoughts before I sent you to your grave mortal?"

"Yea, I do! Why her!? She is not even important to what's going on now!"

"I'm going to tell you, if you have found her and laid your hooves on her again. I'll still be coming after you even if you did kill me here. How prepare to, DIE!!!"

The fight that ensued is the most intense battle I've ever gone through. He was throwing everything at me, flying fireballs, ice cold winds, and lighting, he did what he can to killing me. I on the other hoof, I was able to dodge his attacks at but taking a few hit and let me tell you that it hits. I was able to get in a few well place blows to him. It did knock him back a bit but he continue to stand his ground. I know that I have to do something to laid the final blow to him. Then I looked at my weapon for a quick moment then back to him. There it was a small opening within his armor that can allowed to me to finish him off. So I took my chances and go for it, and it was a big gamble to do it. I jump for it and moved in quickly and I have weapon and pierces through his armor and I was able to get to his heart.

"AHRAAaaa!!!"
He screamed.

He fell down to his side and holding the weapon in his chest. The clan leader looked up to me with those eyes of his and his mouth is bloody as he smile. 

~cough~ "So you manage to kill me..... Just so you know that I'm still going to take you with me....!" ~cough~

He raises his hooves and a red light came out and flow off to the walls. The vampire started to laugh in the most evil way he could and he won't stop doing it. The building we where in started to shake hard and that when I realized that I had to escape from the doom place. 

"Oh pony feathers!"

I looked toward the window and try to open it so I can get out. With no luck, it was stuck in place, so I had to get out as fast as possible through the hallways and I didn't have time just to gallop out of there. So I fly my way out by dodging the falling stone of the building and was going fast and I did know how I was doing it. Yet I started to fell an air bubble forming around me and I was almost there to that door but more of the building starts to pick up on the pace. With an last bit of effort in me. I used the speed to break through the door way and fly out far enough for the place to fall down into a big pile of rubble.

"FFFeewww....! That was a close one."

"I 've know that this mission is accomplished. The whole battle left more questions then just a take down of this vampire. Now I need to find out about this vampire that a lot of ponies wanted her."
She ends the story there.

"That is very interesting Firespark and it did cleared up the rumors about it. Not that many ponies got to heard beside those rumors."

Ruby turns off the tape recorder and puts it away in her bag. After doing that the train conductor announce over the P.A. system letting everypony know where they're stopping.

~buzzck~" Ok everypony our next stop is ponyville! And it'll be up next around in five minutes."~buzzck~

"Awww.... Just when we're having fun here. Well Firespark we're done with our interview. Anyways Firespark, after I've heard what you told me. I just wanted to give you this." 

Ruby passes a note to Firespark. She takes it with her hoof, then looks at it and then she puts it in her pocket and thank her for it.

"What is this note about, Ruby?"
Firespark asked.

"I've found that note in my old Jewellery box, I recall it came from the old cottage in the forest. I kept this on me for a long time, just in case I see you again and I know since your part of a group that hunt these type of things. I hope that this help you out in understanding this case you have. If you do read, it's pretty sad, I've been wondering who write such a thing and for what reason."
Ruby frowned at the thought of the note. 

"Yea, sure I'll read it when I get to my family's home. It also looks like that we made to our stop."
Firespark pointed.

~buzzck~"Alright, everypony we have made it to our stop in Ponyville and thank for riding Manetrak."~buzzck~

The two mares pick up there things and made their way to the door of the car their in and wait for the train to come into a full stop. As it did they got out the train and tort away from the train station. It was late in the night but the two friends continue with their talk about their lives. They finally get to say there good byes and they leave to their old homes in Ponyville.

Afterwards Firespark made to her home, as she did and went in. It was the way she left in there, bookshelves in one corner of the living room and her couches in another. She went ahead and laid down on her couch and pull out the note she was given earlier, and begin to read it. It was a short one but really sad, trying to thank why is it like this. 

*This is sad and made me shed a tear. I needed do some research who is she, but more likely she isn't in any part in the history books about her. Since there isn't much about princess Twilight past on her past friends. I might as well send her a letter to come to Ponyville before I capture the vampire who live here.*
Firespark thought to herself. 

She got up and headed towards her desk in the study and begin to write a letter to Twilight and a request for her to come over to Ponyville. When she finish the letter and puts it in envelope and set it aside for tomorrow morning, she made her way to her bed and go to sleep.
