While Rainbow was gone Axis called one of his friends, or squadmate should I say.
He was Luna's husband, aka the medic of his team, his name is Zack.
They were going to originally going to talk in sugar cube corner, though they decided to meet up at Axis's house instead.
We go to the flying transport that carried Twilight to Ponyville in the first episode. It was pulled by two pegasus royal guards, he was just chillin in the back sipping on a beer. He asked in one of the nicest tones you will ever hear, "why do I need you two to guard me? I don't mind, but I am going to a friend's house, just, why?"
One of them replied, "sir, because you are a prince now, we can not let you get into trouble." He snickered a bit.
"How can I get into trouble, I have 4 different mags strapped to me under my coat, along with two machine guns on the floor boards. Though I can and didn't question why I am being escorted to the house. But why do you two have to go in?" They looked at each other.
"Because sir, he isn't trust worthy enough to leave you alone with, he is a high profile killer, and he is a marine. They don't know anything besides killing and drinking." He stiffened up, put down his beer and told them.
"Listen closely, you both know me pretty well, nice guy, good husband, and I give out pretty decent vacations right, also please stop calling me sir, I never liked that. It makes me feel above everybody else, that ain't a bad thing, it's just not what I really like."
They had to process that for a bit, one replied, "you do si- um, Zack, but what does that have to do with him or marines?"
He replied, "I WAS a marine, 6 years, so was he. He saved my life before we knew each other, he basically killed himself more times then I can say, somehow he survives them. But we we're part of the first squad of walkers to come out.
We won the war together, he even lost one of nuts for me, true he USED to be a tripod, but he still lost one to keep me alive.
I would trust him with my life, hell, I would trust him with my son if it came down to it."
the guards were speechless, all they could sputter was, "w-w-we're he-ere." He sat back and finished his beer.
After landing on the cloud Zack paid them a couple hundred to leave him alone with Axis until it was time to go back to Canterlot.
As he knocked on the cloud door, it barely made a sound, Axis asked, "who is it?"
Zack replied, the pizza boy."
He heard footsteps and Axis opened the door, all he could say was, "where's the damn pizza?!" Zack laughed.
"Come on in dude, want a beer?"
He replied, "nah, I would though I wanna go home decently sober, I have already had two, got any Dr. Pepper?"
Axis laughed a bit and replied, "my man, anything new with the old team?"
Zack replied, "oh I have a s**t tone of stuff, just bring out the secret food."
Axis starred at him for a second, "dude, if Rainbow knows I have this she will flip, she put me on a f**king diet. If she finds out you will go down, it's right over here."
He opened a dusty drawer and pulled out two bags of BEEF jerky, "my man, okay get this. Celestia and Rick have been banging for a few months now." Axis dropped the bag of jerky,
"shut up. I thought he was gay!"
Zack laughed, "nope, he was just weird, oh Elsa's son has a crush on Shining Armor and Cadence's daughter." Axis laughed a bit, "why are you laughing bro?"
He replied, "I knew about that, she is my big sister after all, I read about it in our monthly chat."
"Oh, well this one will stump you, Rainbow, the elements, Luna, and Shining and Cadence jumped into your dream to see what was going on in there." Axis was literally frozen.
"She what?"
He replied, "ya, I will need to buy a bottle of wine for Luna, I forgot I promised her I wouldn't talk, oh sorry dude, you did need to know though."
Just as he finishes Rainbow Dash walked through the door, "it's good to see you again honey, oh I forgot Zack was coming over today, i'll leave you two be."
Axis walks over to her and says, "you invaded my personal dream privacy without my permission! What the hell Dashy?!" She whispered under her breath a bit.
"I am so sorry Rainbow, um, I, um," he picks up his phone and calls the guards, "I have a code 3 please assist!"
Axis asks, "wait, this is only number 3, what is the first two?"
He replied, "well the first is if Luna has any kind of serious injury, the second is if Celestia goes on one of her gambling trips and we have to wipe everypony of their memories."
Rainbow says, "so that's why I can't remember that bit of the honeymoon!" He blushed.
All of a sudden the two royal guards fly through the clouds pulling the chariot as Zack hops in and shouts, "I'll pay for this later!" He disappears right after.
Axis runs to the opening and shouts, "it's cloud! It will reform on it's own for free!" He turns to Rainbow, "you betrayed my trust, just because you think it will help doesn't mean it will, now I am going to go to a bar and get drunk. Don't wait up for me."
He grabs his ball cap and leaves the house with a sad Rainbow sitting there wallowing in sadness.
