You can't be so quiet in here

The DJ

The inside of the club was like a living, breathing being. The floor was tiled with every tile flashing a different color in time to the song that was playing. The ponies on the dance floor were moving and bouncing to flashing lights and heavy beats. The air was filled with the scents of cider, sweat, and excitement. Amongst all the noise and lights stood a tall platform in the back of the dance floor. Atop the high platfo, there was a set of giant speakers, laser lights, and a DJ turntable.
Fluttershy had trouble making out the pony through the lasers, bright floor tiles, and dim light but she could make out what appeared to be purple shades and colored mane. She squeaked as Rainbow Dash tugged the timid pegasus towards the bar. Dash looked at the drinks behind the Bar Pony with daring and excited eyes. The blue pegasus quickly ordered two of a drink that she had grown accustomed to, Spiced Apple Cider. Dash drank hers and looked around while Fluttershy stared at her own cup, feeling the awkwardness of the crowded place.
"You Fluttershy, look at that stallion there!" Rainbow Dash had to practically scream into Fluttershy's ear to be heard over the music as she gestured to a stallion on the dance floor. He was a tall stallion with an athletic build on him. Fluttershy merely nodded, having the inability to ever admit her dislike of stallions to her best mare friend. Rainbow flew over the crowd to go and talk to the stallion she had spotted, leaving Fluttershy to stand awkwardly at the bar, alone with her Spiced Apple Cider.

A few hours had passed since being left alone but Fluttershy didn't mind the being alone part, it's just she hated crowds. She downed the last of her Cider, paid, and got up to leave. As she gathered herself to fly to the exit, a burly Ponyguard walked up to her. He looked down at the crouching pegasus through his tinted shades. He silently gestured for her to follow her. Fluttershy gawked at him in fear and swallowed the sudden lump in her throat.
Fluttershy followed the bigger ponyguard through the crowd and towards the back of the club, further and further away from the front doors that led to the fresh, crisp, night air. She looked away from the doors and ran into the pony she bad been following. She gasped and stepped back, looking around him to see a velvet rope blocking their way, guarded by another pony. The two guards nodded to each other and the rope was no longer in their way.
Fluttershy wondered what she could have possibly done to upset the owner. All she had been doing since she got there was sip her Cider and sit at the bar. The guard led her into a back room which looked like a dressing room of sorts. "DJ Pon-3 will see you after her set." The guard commanded as he slowly shut the door. Fluttershy had to swallow to try and keep her throat from being dry as she sat in a chair.

An hour or so later, the door to the dressing room opened. Fluttershy, whp's nerves were shot from the anticipation of what might be wrong and the long wait, jumped high in her chair. The mare was obviously the DJ from what Fluttershy had noticed before. She had two-toned electric blue and cobalt mane and tail, white coat, and her eyes were hidden behind purple shades. She walked with an aura of confidence and a carefree attitude.
The DJ was saying goodbye to a stallion, who he was, Fluttershy had no clue. When the DJ noticed Fluttershy, she smiled and nodded. "Saw ya just hanging at the bar all alone and thought you might want someone to hang with." Fluttershy gulped and spoke quietly. "B-But that was an h-hour ago..." The DJ's eyebrows shot up and his face swiveled to the wall clock. She cursed and have an embarrassed chuckle.
"Ah, so it is." She spoke with a tone of someone who was embarrassed about always being late. "I tend to get carried away with the beats and wubs, take me away and I lose track of the time." Fluttershy giggled and the other mare seemed to relax. "Listen, it's, like, totally late so I was wondering if you wanted to crash at my place? It's nearby and I'm sure my roommate wouldn't mind. Or like, you wanna go home I'll walk ya."
Fluttershy smiled softly, moved by the stranger's offer. "I...Don't really like the dark so...c-could we g-go to your p-place?" She blushed and looked down. The other mare smiled and nodded, leading them both out the doors and then outside, into the night air and Luna's realm.
