Chapter 1: In the woods-
It was cold, that was for sure. As Fluttershy trotted through the woods, the sound of the snow crunching whenever step stepped onto it, the only thing on her mind was getting to bear friends new home to check if he was ok and settling down well. A couple of weeks before a dragon had been woken up and got angry and went stomping around the forest and had caused his cave to collapse so she went to check up on him until early he got settled down and went back to hibernating.
The Ever-free forest was a much nicer place in the winter although it was still filled with timber wolfs and other creatures, most of them were hibernating.
After about five minutes, she had arrived at her bear friend's new den. The cave was located about a sixth of a mile from the edge of the forest (and Fluttershy's cottage) and had a pond next to it that had a waterfall running into it, a small stream ran of from the pond and eventually drained into Froggy Bottom Bog.
Fluttershy then headed for the cave entrance, but before she went in, out of the corner of her vision, she saw something. Fluttershy turned and headed to the pond to find the object. When she looked up, there, on the other side of the pond, buried ind the snow, was a line of bright red. Flutter shy then started to walk around the lake, and as she got closer, details started to show, one being that the red line look like scales. Then the gears in Fluttershy' head clicked and she started to panic. "Oh-no there must be some poor snake trapped in the snow, I need to go help them!" she said to herself as she flew the rest of the way.
When she got over to the buried animal she started to dig with the best of her abilities, but hooves aren't good for digging. After she dug out part of the body, she realized that this was a snake, but it was also much larger than normal snakes if the size of the tail that she could see told her anything. As Fluttershy realized this she decided she was going the need help, so she pulled out her trusty bear call whistle, and blew, the familiar deep roar-like sound resonating in the air Within twenty second, Harry the bear was standing next to her. After she told him what she needed him to do, Harry walked over to the body and pulled it out of the snow. Flutter shy was very startled, for one thing, Harry, her bear friend hadn't even pulled out the snake completely; the tip of the tail was out; but the tail so far was at least twenty-three feet long. As Harry kept pulling the snake out of the ice and snow, the tail then changed into something else, and when she flipped the figure over, she concluded that it look like one of those humans that Twilight described after she came back through the magic mirror in the Crystal Empire. But something was wrong, because when she went to touch it, she realized that there was ice on it's body and she was not feeling any body heat. "Oh-no, ah Harry, I'm sorry if this seems rude, but could you help me take it back to my cottage, if you don't mind that is; but you don't have to if you don't want to." Harry then grabbed the tail and began the drag the creature in the direction of Fluttershy's cottage.
Fluttershy followed while still puzzled about what this creature was. As they walked through the forest, the sound of crunching snow and animals off in the distance being heard, Fluttershy realized that they were almost to her house and decided to fly ahead to unlock her door. When the two got to Fluttershy's cottage, Fluttershy went and opened the door for Harry, while he dragged the snake-human inside. When inside, Harry set down the creator by the fireplace and Fluttershy put more wood in the fire. "Thank you Harry, now what to do about you. Well I should try to warm you up."
While Fluttershy did this, she started to study the strange creator. The first thing that Fluttershy concluded was that, with the lean body and low muscle build that it wasn't an it but a probably her. The second thing she noticed was that this girl was probably cold-blooded based on how she was half snake and seemed to be sleeping. Some notes that Fluttershy took on her was that she had red hair, a twenty eight foot long red tail, pointed and scaled red ears, pale skin, sharp claw like things on the end of her fingers, and wore clothing over parts of her body, and looked very young; maybe Twilight would know, she was going to pay her a visit tomorrow.
When all of the I ice the girl had melted, she decided to to leave her by the fire, but before she when the to bed she placed some blankets on girl. Then she went into the kitchen and grabbed a carrot for Angle, went upstairs to her bedroom, gave the carrot to Angle, got into her bed and went to sleep.
When Fluttershy woke up and got out of bed, the first thing she did was start her morning routine. Take a bath, brush her hair, feed the animals, and then feed herself. But today that routine had one more thing on the list, she needed to check on the girl that she had brought into her house last night.
After she had feed the animals outside, she went inside and into the kitchen and opened the fridge. When Fluttershy woke up and got out of bed, the first thing she did was start her morning routine. Take a bath, brush her hair, feed the animals, and then feed herself. But today that routine had one more thing on the list, she needed to check on the girl that she had brought into her house last night.
After she had feed the animals outside, she went inside and into the kitchen and opened the fridge. "Hmm, what do we have for breakfast." As she muttered to herself her eyes landed on a container that held eggs. "Well, I guess it's eggs for breakfast then." After she got out the eggs and a pan, Fluttershy cracked four eggs and began to fry them.
As the eggs fried, the smell of eggs filling the kitchen and into the living room, the sound of blankets and creaking wood was heard by Fluttershy's ears. 'Wait, was the creature awake already!' Fluttershy thought. 'Well it was ten in eight in the morning, but hibernating animals usually took more time to wake up.' Fluttershy then slowly crept into the living room and dashed behind the couch. As she peeked over the couch, the strange girl rustled around, looked up towards the ceiling, and the opened her eyes.
