Ponies And Pines

Chapter 3: 3rd Dimension

After hours of putting a jug of cider up to Pinkie’s nose as a way to make her wake up, she finally did so! Apple Jack sighed in relief and rested. Her hoof was cramped up after holding that jug of cider for so long!
Pinkie’s eyes lit up as soon as she woke. It was as if she was staring at the biggest sweet imaginable. She looked up and around to see Apple Jack resting.

“Apple Jack?! What are we doing in Twilight's Castle?” She asked excited and confused.
Apple Jack sighed, “I need your help fixing that there portal…” She pointed. Pinkie looked toward the portal, then back toward Apple Jack again, confused and hoping for an explication as to why the portal needed to be fixed.
Apple Jack continued, “Apparently the wires got out of place while Twilight was settin’ it up, and then the whole thing just blew a fuse! Me and Spike figured, since you had some crazy understanding of the portal already, that you would be able to fix it or somethin’!”
Pinkie Pie sat and pondered for a moment. “Not sure I can help ya there, Apple Jack!” She said in a cheerful, but still saddened attitude. “I’m sure Twilight can figure out what to do, right? I mean, what would be so different between dimensions that its impossible to get back, right?” Pinkie suggested, unsure and still hopeful.

Apple Jack nodded, “If that’s so, then I’m not leavin’ this spot until she is back.” Apple Jack walked over to the portal and sat in front of it. Pinkie Pie looked at Apple Jack, inspired, and walked over beside her. She then sat beside her… And they waited.
Meanwhile, in a faraway place beyond space, beyond time, beyond dimensions… is a place that goes by the name, Gravity Falls, Oregon! A tiny town with not many people, very simple and very quiet… Or at least that’s what people that don’t live there, think.
But in fact, Gravity Falls is mysterious, and enchanted. Not like any other town. This town can be rather dangerous, if you’re not careful. The heroes of the town are none like you’ve ever seen. They are strong, brave, and smart! Some hero’s right? These heroes go by the names, Mabel and Dipper. Twins. Age 12.

The boy, Dipper, was walking through the woods just a slightly far distance away from the Mystery Shack to calm himself from a heated argument that him and his great uncle, Stan—also known as, Grunkle Stan, got into. As he was walking, he heard a high pitched sound in the distance. Sort of what he imagined sparkles to sound like. At first, he figured it was just the wind and the forest playing tricks on his ears, and kept walking. Then again, in the distance, he heard another sound.
“WUAH!” A voice in the distance yelped! Dipper glanced around, confused at first. He then decided to follow the sound of the unsteady yelp. As he struggling made his way through bushes, and trees, and the attempts to dodge poison ivy, he finally found what he was looking for. He looked toward the ground, to see a girl. He glanced up to see what looked like a black hole, minus the black part. It was sort of more, colorful, but it was just floating in the air. In the blink of an eye, the mysterious floating figure, shrunk and disappeared.
Dipper looked down, toward the girl and saw that the girl was looking up toward him.
“Where am I?” She asked.

“Uh…” Dipper mumbled, confused on how to approach what just happened. He stared at the girl a while longer, examining her. She had purple hair, with purple and pink highlights. Her clothes were rather dressy for being out in the forest, though he assumed she came from that floating hole in the air.
“This is… Gravity Falls, Oregon.” He finally replied. “Who are you?”
The girl stared at him for a moment, confused. This world seemed different than the one she planned on going to, and the one she was from. She finally answered, “Twilight. Twilight Sparkle.”
Dipper stared at the girl confused for a moment, but then realized he had to introduce himself as well, and that his “name” was also rather different.
“I'm Dipper.” He said with an unsure smile on his face, holding out his hand to help her up. “How… Did you end up here?” He asked, glancing behind her slightly, as she stood up.
“For now, its none of your business…” Twilight said with a slight annoyed attitude, but deep on the inside she was honestly afraid.
Dipper stared at her concerned, but then snapped out of it shortly after. “Uh, right… Anyway, um, follow me. You look like you could use something to drink.” He made his way toward the exit of the woods, and toward the Mystery Shack.
Twilight looked over her shoulder, and sighed as she wished she had stayed in Ponyville. She then began following this, Dipper fellow.
