Chapter 4:Shining Help

So there I was in class still confused about earlier today about that guy who wanted my help for something. I don’t remember his name. I think his name was Shining Armor? Still, why does he want help from a new student who got here yesterday? I don’t get it.
I sigh to myself and decided to push the thoughts in the back of my head and focus on class, I don’t want to be a slacker now. I was focusing in my class until I notice something in my right side window. I saw a girl who was chatting with her friends.
Sometimes I wonder to myself, how we guys understand women, is like understanding how a dog talk. Well, a dog can't talk but eh. I was looking at the girl and then I notice Shining Armor behind her acting kind of nervous all of sudden. Something tells me he wants to talk to this girl.
A few minutes past and I rush towards Shining, and I saw the girl leaving the same time I arrive. Ok, if I’m correct, I’m guessing he wants help on asking this girl out, but what do I know about girls? Like really, I don’t know anything.
As she left the hall, I see Shining Armor making a love dove face while looking at her. I swear if he was doing that to each girl he had a crush on, he’s lucky no one has called the police on him. I approach him and snapping my fingers to get his attention.
“So I am guessing the help you want is to ask a girl out?” I said to Shining.
“Not just any girl dude, her name is Mia Amore Cadenza. Um, Candace for short,” Shining said while giving an awkward smile.
“Sooo, ask the girl out,” I told him, and suddenly he gave me a face telling, ah hell nah. Well, something to put it anyways.
“I can’t dude, I’m sorta nervous,” he tells me. “You see, she the most beautiful girl ever in school, and I’m not cut out for her.” Shining looks down and I see a frown in his face.
Ok, this is getting really serious. If someone tells me, he or she isn’t cut out for her or him, they really love this person. “Look Shining, I tell you what. If you really need my help on asking this girl out I’ll help but,” I said raising a finger, “you have to promise me one thing. Don’t tell yourself you aren’t cut out for her. Love if for everyone, by the heart not by looks. So let start thinking a way for you to ask her out.”
Shinning Armor’s smile grew wide and started to grasp and hug me, making me struggle for air again. “Oh, um sorry,” Shinning said while putting me down.
“Ok let’s go and get that crush of yours, before I end up in a hospital,” I said while leading the way where Candace went.
Shining and I made our way to the cafeteria, seeing she went that way since its lunchtime. We enter the lunchroom and suddenly I felt a force pull me into a hiding place.
And guess who it was? Yep, Shining Armor telling me that she found her in a table with her friends. I couldn’t believe it. I thought I was helping a friend, not a chicken.
Shining releases me and I take a look where she was. Well, I guess is show time and tell Shining Armor what to do.
“Ok Shining, go up to her and talk to her,” I said giving a push to Shining.
“Are you mad! I’m too shy to go and talk to her. You know how hard it is to talk to a beautiful girl,” he said giving a face that he just saw a ghost.
“It’s not that hard. She’s just a human being. Look, watch, I’m going to talk a girl,” I said while looking for a random girl to talk to.
As a chosen a random girl, I walk up to her, where she was eating and chatting with her friend. While Shining Armor was looking at me from behind, I sat down at her table with her friend, without her noticing.
“Hi,” I said to the girl that suddenly and surprisingly notice and recognize my voice.
She turns around to my attention, and then suddenly, she pauses and looks at me. This girl looked familiar. Oh, now I remember, she was the same girl from gym class. Huh? She kinda cute.
As she was about to say something, I notice she was blushing and fainted. I look at her friend and gave me an awkward smile saying, “Don’t mind my friend. She’s always like that.”
I got up from my seat and went back towards Shining. I was still confused on what just happen, and notice Shining had his jaw open. If he does not close that mouth of his soon, I think he will dislocate it.
“Dude, you’re a god. Teach me,” Shining said with puppy dog eyes.
“What? Oh shut up. That was a misunderstanding. Maybe she was sleepy and had to take a nap.” I lied to myself still figuring out what just happen.
“Uh huh, in the lunch room?” Shining cross his arms and smirk at me.
“Look, go up to her and talk her, get to know her a little,” I said pushing him towards Candace’s table.
At first he hesitated, but then he took a long deep breath and started walking up towards her. I notice something, was Candace blushing when she notice Shining Armor approach her?
Finally, I saw him talking to his crush; at least they were having a good talk. It was looking good; they were sharing a laugh at least. Since that’s been covered and Shining is talking to his crush, I think I’ll grab something to bite.
As I walk towards lunch lady and told her one hamburger and soda. She gave me my food and I happily went to a table. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and I saw the same girl that just fainted a few minutes ago.
“Oh hey you're that girl, that keeps fainting for some reason.” I said giving her a smirk.
She blushes hard and started playing around with her hair. “Yea, I’m so sorry about that. Um, my name is Lyra Heartstring. It’s nice to meet you. Um, do you mind if I sit with you?” she said while still playing with her hair.
I smile at her and nodded and sat at my table and with her sitting in front of me. I really didn’t mind people eating with me. I always like to meet new friends. I started eating my food and surprisingly I saw her looking something behind me.
I look behind me and I saw her friend whistling like those cartoons on TV. I look back at Lyra and I decided to start a conversation. “Um tell me about yourself, Lyra,” I said while eating my food.
“Oh um, well I’m a musician, I play the lyre and I am in a music club. The other member of the club and I play a little concert on special activities at school.” Lyra said while giving a warm smile.
“Thats kinda cool. A friend of mind suggesting to join the music club. Since, you know, I play guitar and sing a little.” I said while finishing my meal.
“Oh really, if there’s no trouble, you should join us and we can get to know each other a little better,” she said.
“You know what, I would like to meet new people and I do like music. Ok I’ll try and see if I can join the music club when I can.” I smile at her and she gave a cute little blush each time I smile at her. Weird?
As I was chatting with Lyra. A familiar rainbow haired girl appears behind me and sat next to me. “Hey Bolt, What’s up!” Rainbow said.
“Oh hey, Rainbow. Nothing much, just talking with Lyra.” I said.
Rainbow look at Lyra and smile “Oh really, well thats cool. Hey I was going to ask you something. Me and the team, we’re missing one player to play soccer this Saturday, early in the morning and I was wondering if you're interested in playing?” Rainbow asks.
I know i needed to go to that club for that one night job, but it was in the middle of the night. It won't hurt playing a little sport with a friend.
“Sure, I’ll be there,” I said.
“Great. Come to my place. I live right around the block close to Canterlot High. You won't miss it, and we'll go together to the park,” she said leaving excited and exiting the cafeteria.
“Well, I guess I’ll be playing soccer. So Lyra about that club, do you know how I can register?” I turn to Lyra.
“What. Oh right, don’t worry. I’ll tell the president about you. She will probably want to meet you.” Lyra said.
“Oh ok, how about this. I’ll meet you after school, and you can show me the club and I’ll talk to your president.” I told her, and suddenly she was blushing hard and gave a smile that she was excited to hear that from me.
“Um…s-sure…no problem.” She snickers.
“Cool, I'll meet you after school then,” I said while getting up from my table.
I told her. She got up the chair and went back towards her friend. Looking how happy she was, I’m guessing she is very happy about me letting her introduce to me to the club.
I look at Lyra and felt Shining coming towards me with a smile on his face. So I guess his pep talk with Candace went well.
“So how it went?” I question Shining.
“Um well, we talk for a while, and then I notice we had a lot in common. But then my mouth wouldn’t shut up and I ask her out on a date on Saturday night.” Shining look down seeing he wasn’t ready for that.
“What should I do?” He asks me.
“Well, just be yourself and take her somewhere to dance and have dinner. I’m guessing she would love that.” I said.
“Maybe I can take her to the Ever Free Club this Saturday.” Shining said while I notice what he said.
“Hey! Me and six of my friends are going to be there. I’ll do what I can to support you while I’m working this Saturday. Sounds good?” I smiled.
“Really? Oh man you’re a lifesaver Bolt. I'll meet you at Saturday night,” he said while he gives me his number.
“Ok,” Shining got up from his table and exited the cafeteria. “Now let's see, Later going with Lyra to that music club, Tomorrow early in the morning going to play soccer with, rainbow and later to the club” well sound its going to fun.

I heard the bell ring and it was time to go to my next class. Well, this school keeps impressing me better and better.
