The Snuggling of Wisp

Chapter 1

The Snuggling of Wisp

William Origin Wisp stood motionless as a statue on his clippettycloppers, blinkyseers focused straight ahead. His smoochiesnogger was in a straight, serious line that covered the pointypokers within. The only signs of life were the twitching of his floppytoppers and a slight rise and fall of his grumblytumbly.

The door to the royal bedchamber swung silently open and Luna clippetyclopped between him and his partner. She locked her blinkyseers on them, comparing their relative cuddliness. Her smoochysnogger curled up in a smiley as her gaze settled on Wisp. She lifted up a clippetyclopper and booped his boople-snout.

Igniting her hornypoker, she lifted him off his clippetycloppers. His flappyfliers fluttered as she turned him around and pulled him into her chambers.

As the doors thumped closed, his partner’s smoochy-snogger drooped in disappointment.

Luna set down her bat pony guard inside the chamber of cuddles and proceeded to wrap her clippetyclops around his scritchascratch so as to deliver nuzzles with her booplesnout to the base of his floppytoppers. Her flappyfliers floofed with amusement for the look on his smoochysnogger.

A giggle escaped his smoochysnogger as Luna’s booplesnout hit a particularly ticklish area of his scritchascratch.

Hearing this, she took a pitterpatter backwards and used a clippetyclopper to move his booplesnout towards her. Her smoochysnogger grew an even larger smile, showing off her pointypokers as she delivered a smoochie right between his blinkyseers.

His smoochiesnogger formed an ‘O’ of surprise as his blinkyseers crossed and he thwumped down onto his cutietocks.

Luna playfully swung her wigglywaggler over to brush his function identifier before rolling over and inflating her pinchiepuffers. The breath stored in her pinchiepuffers was exhaled in a mighty blurp against his grumblytumbly.

A nicker escaped Will’s smoochiesnogger and he bent down to deliver his own blurp to Luna’s grumblytumbly, being careful not to prick her with his pointypokers. Luna’s clippetycloppers wiggled as the blurpletummies were doubled.

They both collapsed into whinnysnorts, their grumblytumblies heaving.

“What...” Luna began, looking up from the paper in front of her. “What is this?”

Celestia smirked. “Why, Lulu, haven’t you ever seen fanfiction of yourself?”

Luna looked at her sister flatly, tempted to wad the paper up and fling it at her sister. “This is for calling you ‘Cellybelly’ in front of Cadance, isn’t it?”

Celestia put on a face of shocked innocence as she finished the bite of cake in her mouth. “Whatever do you mean? I don’t see how either of us could hold any sort of grudge about the other sharing embarrassing nicknames with other poines.”

“This isn’t about nicknames,” Luna answered longsufferingly. “This is about the rampant idiocy of the terminology.”

After a moment of locking eyes with her sister, Luna turned her gaze back to her own slice of cake.

Celestia giggled. “Oh, you’re so cute when you scrunch your booplesnout.”

Luna heaved a weary sigh, using the act of finishing her tea to compose her thoughts. “How long did you spend coming up with all these... terms, anyway.”

Tea Cozy entered, knowing, as she always did, that a teacup needed refilling. She had even learned (the hard way) about Celestia’s attempts to make overzealous waitstaff overfill her cup. The challenge of anticipating how Celestia would prank her next added a fun sort of excitement to the job... at least, once she got over the mortification of slipping up in her service of royalty.

Luna, on the other hoof, was the picture of grace and dignity. Luna would never attempt to embarrass any of her servants or guards, ignoring any minor slip-ups and calmly easing the fears caused by any blatant errors. The respect shown and reciprocated made serving her a delightfully calming, though slightly boring, experience.

The Sun Princess watched as Tea Cozy carried a pot of Earl Grey on her back expertly. Celestia’s mouth curled up in a cruel grin.

As Cozy took the handle of the teapot in her mouth and poured them their tea, Celestia smiled deviously and levitated the paper.

“Oh, Miss Cozy, would you mind telling me what you think of this story?” Celestia asked warmly.

Luna narrowed her eyes, but knew better than to argue.

Tea Cozy’s expression was as studiously neutral as a royal guard’s as she took the paper, showing none of her amused anticipation of Celestia’s mirth, nor even recognition of it.

“All right, you colts,” Drill Sergeant Booming Voice yelled. “Get those clippettycloppers in line!”

The new recruits for the Night Guard quickly complied, slightly unnerved by the term ‘clippettycloppers.’

“Don’t you scrunch those booplesnouts at your drill sergeant!” Booming Voice boomed. “Unfurl those flappyfliers and give me twenty laps round the towers!”

The thestral recruits immediately did so, growing numb to the insane terminology.

Luna landed next to Booming voice with a mirthful grin on her face. “Interesting tactic, Booming.”

“Aye, Princess,” Booming replied in a much quieter voice. “Keeps them off balance. Be sure to thank your sister for me.”

Luna smirked. “I shall pass that along... with other things.”

Luna sat at her desk, quill held in her cobalt aura.

The Snarfing of cake Cloudcake

Cellybelly eyed the cake with her peepers scanned the table with her desert locators, zeroing in on the slice of cake three layer cloud cake sitting in the center.

She ignited her sweetgrabber and levitated it towards her scrunchiemuzzle.

As it drew near, her icing licker shot out to give it a taste. Her ample cutietocks gave a wigglewaggle as her clippetycloppers carried her to her room.

“This is harder than I thought,” Luna mumbled to herself. “Shouldn’t be this difficult describing how my sister stuffs her gullet with an obscene amount of cake.”

“Would you like some help, Princess?” Wisp offered with an aggravated rustle of his leathery wings. “I’ve been getting called ‘William’ ever since that story made its rounds.”

He quietly left out the fact that there was no thestral in the Guard that didn’t have fantasies of that now that it was put in their heads.

“I find ‘William’ to be a most singular and noble sounding name.” Luna smiled and gave him a light nuzzle on his forehead. “But to answer your question, yes, I would love some help, Wisp.”

Wisp froze and his breathing sped up even as he forced his wings to stay down.

Luna noticed his reaction and a blush filled both their faces.

“I apologize, Will-O-Wisp. That was highly inappropriate of me.” Luna quickly dropped her gaze down to her forehooves as images of the story played out in her mind with Wisp taking center stage.

“Neigh, Your Highness,” Wisp responded as he broke free from his shock. “I cannot think of any of your personal guard that would take offense... I mean... I would... be honored if...”

As Wisp blushed even more, Luna’s eyes cautiously looked up to him again.

“You mean...” Luna began hopefully.

Wisp, in a rush of courage, moved in and kissed Luna’s muzzle.

An invisible Sun Princess stood on Luna’s balcony and smiled as the immortal alicorn and the veteran guard blushed like foals. The revenge story would be a tiny price to pay for her sister’s happiness.

“Now for my tea and cake.”
