It was a normal morning in Ponyville, the sky was clear and the sun shining brightly. Fillies and colts on their way home from school, stallions and mares at the market or the stores.
"WHAT!"
The scream of the newest princess caused many ponies to look towards the castle.
In the room with the map of Equestria sat six ponies. Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and the princess of magic herself Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight sat there gaping at Applejack who looked shamefully at the floor.
"And you haven't told her?" Twilight questioned.
Applejack shook her head, a few tears quietly falling to the floor.
Twilight turned to the other four.
"Did any of you know this?"
All four nodded sadly, shocked Twilight turned back to Applejack.
"Aj, your twenty-four.....she's....."
"Eight" Applejack replied. "I know, I was sixteen when she was born"
"B-but h-how?"
"Party gone wrong." Pinkie whispered horsely
"Did this happen to anypony else?"
Two ponies coughed awkwardly. Twilight turned to the two surprised.
"Rarity? Rainbow Dash?"
The two nodded sadly.
"Sweetie Belle?"
Rarity nodded again.
"Scootaloo?"
Dash nodded as well.
Before Twilight could say something else the door crashed open with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, including Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon and Spike running in all six looking scared.
"Twilight!" Spike called fearfully.
"Spike!" Twilight snapped "I told you to wait till we were done!"
"I know but-but the sky!"
"Huh?" The six mares questioned.
"Come look!" Spike panicked.
The mane six fallowed the four foals outside, once out of the castle they stared at the sky in fear, awe and shock.
"Sweet Celestia" Twilight gaped.
"Oh my" Fluttershy squeaked.
"My word" Rarity breathed.
"Buck" AJ gulped.
"Awesome" RD gasped.
"Ooooo pretty" Pinkie bounced.
The sky was dark, almost like midnight and yet it was only two in the afternoon.
But where the sun should be was a rainbow vortex...
Suddenly twenty bright lights shot out from the vortex, groups of lights going in different directions. Six heading north, one heading south, one heading east, six shooting towards the old castle ruins and six shooting farther into the Everfree.
Everyone but the five fillies and dragon were too busy looking at the lights that they didn't see six figures shooting out of the vortex just seconds before it closed.
"We need to figure out what those lights were" Twilight determinedly said to her friends.
The other five nodded before running towards the Everfree Forrest.
"Come on! Lets fallow them!" Scootaloo shouted.
"No Scoots, lets figure out what those figures were." Sweetie said.
The five fillies and dragon ran to the part of the Everfree away from the six mares.
