The four mare ran into the Doctor’s house, making sure everyone was okay. They found the Doctor and Derpy lying on the floor, dazed.
“That. Was…” the Doctor began to stand up, “FANTASTIC! I never knew an explosion that big could be caused by a mixture that simple! Oh, Bon Bon, here’s your cup back.” The Doctor handed the cream colored mare a partially melted measuring cup, still smoking.
“Um,” she started, “Thanks… I guess.”
“Doctor!” Derpy stood up as well, “I thought you said it would be a small explosion! not so big it destroys your house!”
“No, I said it should be a small explosion, I made no promises.” Everypony glared at the stallion, “What!?”

The six began walking around ponyville, with Vinyl, Bon Bon, and Derpy telling them about the place while the Doctor just stated weird facts about certain buildings. As it was getting dark, they came across the Golden Oaks Library. They could see flashing lights coming from inside.
“That must be Pinkie Pie’s party!” Derpy stated, “I heard someone new just moved here. Kinda like you two.” She acknowledged Lyra and Octavia, “She’ll probably throw a welcoming party for you too.”
“Who throws a party in a library!?” Vinyl asked.
“I think it’s where she’s supposed to be living.” Bon Bon responded.
“Well then who the heck lives in a Library!?”
“I might know of one pony.” Lyra started walking into the party, with the five others behind her. They walked up to a yellow mare with an orange mane.
“Carrot Top!” Derpy called out the the pony.
“Derpy! Glad you and your friends could make it!” Carrot Top responded, “Who are they?” The yellow mare pointed her hoof and the mint green unicorn and the gray earth pony.
“I’m Octavia,” Octavia responded, “I just moved here. Nice to meet you.”
“I’m Lyra, I’m new too.” Lyra responded, “Do you have any idea who this party is for?”
Carrot Top started to think, “I think it’s for some mare called… Twilight… Sparkle?”
I knew it! Lyra thought, “Thanks.”
“No problem.”
Everyone, minus Derpy, walked away from Carrot Top, and started to talk amongst themselves. “Do you know that mare Lyra?” Octavia asked.
“Of course I do.” Lyra responded, “She’s one of my best friends. But I won’t bother her right now. We should start heading toward city hall for the sunrise.”

“He blew up his house!?” Carrot Top was surprised by Derpy’s statement, “I knew one day his experiments would get him into trouble.”
“Yeah,” Derpy responded, “But anyways, I was wondering if he could move in with us until he gets a new one.”
“Well… I suppose so… But no experiments in my house!”
“Right I’ll make sure he’s kept under control. Is Amethyst here?” Derp asked, looking around for her daughter.
“No, she stayed home, wanted some rest before the sunrise. Speaking of which, we should probably head over there now.”
“Derpy!” The Doctor called out to the pegasus, “We’re heading over to city hall, you coming?”
“Yeah we’re coming. Come on Carrot Top.”

The seven ponies sat at city hall, waiting for Princess Celestia to come out and raise the sun.
“Hey mom,” a magenta unicorn with a purple mane sat next to Derpy, she seemed to be in her teen years, “Hey everybody.”
“Hey Amethyst." Vinyl responded.
“Um, Derpy,” Octavia started, “If you don’t mind me asking, who is this?” Octavia pointed to the new unicorn.
“Oh, this is my daughter, Amethyst Star.”
“Oh, are you married?” Lyra asked.
“No, I found her on on the streets as a filly, and took her in.”
“I’m adopted!?” Amethyst screamed with a joking face.
Derpy jumped, “Oh no! I mean…!” Amethyst started giggling at her mothers being startled. “Oh come on, why do you have to scare me like that every time?”
“Because it’s funny.”
Mayor Mare began to speak, “Fillies and gentlecolts,”
“Shush, it’s starting.” Bon Bon said.
“As mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!” Everypony in the crowd cheered and clapped, “In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria… Princess Celestia!”
The curtains opened to reveal… nothing. A white unicorn went behind the curtain only to come out with words nopony wanted to hear, “She’s GONE!”
The entire town started panicking, until everypony went quiet, when Nightmare Moon showed up.

“We are screwed!” Vinyl said, still panicking. The eight friends went back to Bon Bon’s house after Nightmare Moon returned and declared night forever.
“What are we gonna do!?” Derpy said, flying around the room.
Everypony was freaking out, they had never seen anything like what had just happened.
“I thought she was just a myth!” Octavia stated.
“EVERYBODY CALM DOWN!” The Doctor screamed, causing everypony else to stare at him.
“What did you say?” Lyra asked.
“Um, I mean, everypony. Look, I’m sure everything’s going to be fine.”
“How can you be so sure!?” Bon Bon asked, “Princess Celestia is gone! Nightmare Moon is back! And now there’s nopony that can stop her!”
“Look, I’ll prove it.”
“How!?” Everpony except for Derpy asked.
“Follow me.” The eight ponies walked out into the dark of the night and into the Doctor’s still destroyed house. The stallion lead them into a basement.
“Doctor, are you sure we should show them?” Derpy asked, before he could turn on the lights.
“Of course. After all, we’re all friends here.” The Doctor turned on the light to reveal a large blue box that read ‘Police Public Call Box. “Ladies, say hello… to the TARDIS.”
