A/N Since this chapter is pretty important, I added A twilight Point of view. Also I took some of my fans advice and made the chapter longer and hopefully made it easier to read. So enjoy readers! ^^
A few years have passed, and Twilight and I were in a house to ourselves. We decided to move out of my parent’s house a year after graduation. We were a lot happier together with no distractions. We have cable at our house but I always remember to keep the HUB channel blocked so she doesn’t find out the truth on her own… I don’t think she’s ready to find out just yet. So when ever she’s not reading, she’s watching “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader”. It’s one of her favorite shows to watch. When I watch it, I always learn something new and Twilight giggles at me since she knows I wouldn’t do so well on that show if I went on it. Whenever Twilight got hungry, I made her a sandwich with lettuce and tomato and I have the same thing as her. I don’t care if I don’t eat meat anymore, as long as I’m happy with Twilight. Our lives have been great so far… until…
“Hey… dad?” Twilight said watching T.V.
“Yes sweet heart?” I ask.
“How come… well… How come I’ve never seem any other talking pony besides myself?” she asks.
My heart just sank as soon as she asked that… I didn’t know what to say to her… Was I ready to tell her the truth…? And if I do tell her will she even think of me the same as she did the past years…? No… I can’t tell her… not yet…
“Well, Twilight…” I started “the reason you haven’t seen anyone like you is because you’re special… Nobody in the world is like you…” What do I say now…!? "And for the other reasons… I’ll have to tell you when you’re older”.
Twilight seemed a little upset and confused at the answer, but she accepted it. So we just put the question behind us and didn’t think about it… Well… I didn’t think about it.
“Hey, dad? Can I go outside and play?” Twilight asked.
“Okay but remember what I told you about going too far from the house” I said.
“I know dad, I won’t go too far.” She said.

I love to play outside. Dad always lets me practice my magic as long as I don’t go too far from the yard. He’s afraid that someone might find me take me away. But honestly, if anyone tried to take me away, I bet I could fight whoever faced me. I still remember the day my dad found me… I was lost and afraid… I had no idea where I was going or what I had to do… then it started to rain and that’s when I saw the little house he found me in, or as to what he told me, grandpa’s shed. I’m so happy that he found me… But I’m still curious onto why he didn’t answer my question fully… And why did he look so worried…? But while I was thinking to myself, I stopped when all of a sudden; I heard a scream from outside the yard.
“Help! I’m slipping!” the voice yelled.
I was looking around and I couldn’t see anything. But then I looked up and saw a girl that looked about the same age as my dad, at the top of a tall tree hanging onto a branch. What in the world was she doing in a tree anyway?? I had no idea what to do. Dad told me not to talk to anyone that wasn’t part of the family, but I couldn’t just let her fall! Soon she lost her grip and let go. As she started falling, I ran as fast as I could to her. Thankfully, I was able to use my magic to slow the fall and have her land safely.
“Are you okay?” I asked the girl.
The girl just stood there in shock as she got a good look at me… I was starting to get creeped out so I started walking… but then…
“You’re… Twilight Sparkle!” she exclaimed.
I completely froze as soon as she said that… How could she possibly know my name…? Is it possible my dad told her about me and never introduced me to this girl…? I mean how else could she know?
“H-how do you know my name…? I’ve never seen you before in my life!” I said. “Do you know my dad? His name is Levi” I said.
“Well I do know a Levi, but that’s not how I know you…” the girl said. “My name’s Kayla by the way”
“It’s nice to meet you Kayla…” I said still confused.
“Hey… where are the other ponies?” she asked.
“Other… ponies…? What do you mean?” I asked.
“You know; Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Applejack.” She told me.
Who were they…? I have never heard those names in my life…! I was going to respond but then…
“Twilight!” my dad called out.
He ran outside to see what I was doing outside the yard and froze as soon as he saw that I was talking to Kayla.
“K-Kayla, what are you doing here??” he said hesitant.
“Levi?? You’re Twilight’s father??” she said surprised.
Dad stood there shocked and started sweating. What was going on?? I was getting so confused! Dad took Kayla somewhere to talk to her where I couldn’t hear. As soon as I saw Kayla stop talking, my dad was freaking out. I’m lost, what happened?
“Will someone please tell me what’s going on?!” I exclaimed.
They both looked at me, shocked and then looked at each other. Then my dad walked up to me.
“Twilight…” He started. “Kayla is a girl I’ve known for years since I was in school.” He said to me.
“Okay… but that doesn’t explain how she knew my name and the names of apparently some other ponies that I’ve never even heard of.” I stated.
“She knew who you were because…” he started. “…because of the show…” he said.
“Huh…? What show?” I asked.
“Come inside… I’ll show you…” he said with a said and nervous face.

I walked with Twilight and Kayla inside our house, still not believing that she had to find out the truth like this… I turn on the T.V. and I put it on the HUB channel… Twilight stood there curious on why I put it on when I told her not to watch it… I put the passcode in and… My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was the first thing that we saw come on. It was the plot episode “Mare in the Moon” that was airing… Twilight saw herself in the show… and saw the other ponies that Kayla mentioned and all I could do was feel upset at the thought of how she might react to this. After the episode was over, Twilight turned to me and had tears in her eyes.
“Dad… how could you not tell me about this…? I thought you loved me…” she said. My heart sank again at this…
“Twilight, of course I love you… please Twilight I just didn’t think you were ready to understand yet… I kept this a secret because I love you and I didn’t want you to feel sad…” I said to her.
“I would’ve still been happy even if you told me sooner, but finding out now after all these years!? How could you do that!?” She said angrily.
Before I could speak, she ran into her room crying. I am such an idiot for not telling her sooner… Now all she can think about is how I lied to her all this time… But I lied to her because I love her and didn’t want her to feel upset thinking about her past life…
“Give her some time, Levi…” Kayla said. “She needs time to process this… and don’t worry… if she loves you, then she will forgive you.” She said.
“I really hope you’re right… Twilight means the world to me…” I said.

I can’t believe he would lie to me all this time… How could he think I wouldn’t want to hear about this sooner!? I would still love him if he told me…! But now I can see that he doesn’t even care… but… if he doesn’t care about me… why would he take me in and take care of me all these years…? Maybe I went too far when I yelled at him like that but still… knowing that there are really others like me… it’s mind blowing… I just wish he told me sooner… Kayla walked in my room with a worried look on her face.
“Hi Twilight… how are you feeling…?” she asked.
“Horrible…!” I said with tears in my eyes. “How could dad lie to me like this?!”
“Twilight…”she started “Levi did that because he felt that you weren’t ready to know yet… but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you…”
“Yes it does…” I said objecting “If he loved me, he would have never lied to me…!”
“Twilight, if he didn’t love you, would he have bothered to take you into his home… and take care of you all this time…?” she asked.
I was silent… I had no Idea how to respond because… she was right… If dad didn’t care about me, he would’ve never decided to take care of me for so long. But… he did take care of me… he does love me… and I broke his heart… he’s probably in the other room mad at me for how I yelled at him…
“Just think a little bit on this, Twilight.” Kayla said.
She left the room to go see my dad again… I have to go and apologize… I just hope that he forgives me… and if he doesn’t…well… I deserve it…
When I came downstairs, I saw my dad lying on the couch faced away, Kayla sitting beside him.
“Dad… I know you feel really upset right now… but I just want to let you know I’m really sorry for how I acted towards you…”I say with tears in my eyes. "I’m sorry for saying that you didn’t love me and I don’t know how I can ever make it up to…” before I could finish, he grabbed me and hugged me crying… hugging me more than he has ever done in years…
“How can you just forgive me like that…? I thought you would be mad at me…” I said.
“I was never mad at you…” dad said. “I was sad because I thought you would never want to speak to me again… You mean everything to me, Twilight… Can you please forgive me for not telling you the truth sooner...?” he said.
“I already have… I love you so much Dad…” I said crying on him…
“And I love you, Twilight… I will always love you…” he says.
